Know this is probably a silly question but...how do these work? I know you get in line and wait your turn, but is there an official photographer there that takes your pic? because I read about people collecting their photos from shops on main street...do you have to get an 'official' picture taken if that is the case? and I'm assuming it is still ok to use your own camera if there is a disney photographer there?
Also it is ok for say, a 21 year old to get her photo taken with the princesses?the CMs wont chuck me out of the line or anything? although I am quite short so might be mistaken for a kid after all....
thanks for any info you can give me!:goodvibes

There are official photographers at the advertised queued meet n greets, but you don't have to buy any of their photos. You can use your camera, and the CMs with the characters will usually be happy to take your picture for you if you like.
You can be snapped with any character you like, no matter how old you are :goodvibes (I'll be stalking Captain Jack Sparrow in about 2 weeks from now ;))

well I queued up to have my picture taken with Remy from Ratatouille and the kids in the same queue only just came to above my knees some of them!! lol
my gf did give me a push though as she was really into the film then lol and hey it is Disney, although Women can get away with it a lot easier than Men!!!
I had the pic taken by the official photographer and my gf and they didn't mind. They just game me a ticket to collect the photo if i wanted it

and Roon you're damn right!its all part of the Disney experience!I made sure we had a couple of extra days this time so that we can do the meet n' greets as I always shied away from them before...
Oh and do the characters stay 'in character' when interacting with "grown ups"?I hope so!!!I don't want to be chatting to 'just some guy' in a jack sparrow costume...

That's Emile not Remy in your pic Glenn. ;)
I was so disappointed that we didn't see Remy, I really would've liked to have my photo taken with him, Remy and Wall E are my 2 most favourite characters of recent films. At least I got to see him in Rendezvous des Stars. :goodvibes
At one meet and greet we went to, there was a man in front of us who was on his own. He asked the official photographer if she could take some photos with his camera, and she was happy to do so. I was impressed. I found, BTW, that the official photographers tended to be nice and wait til we had taken our photos before taking theirs.

Another good thing about official photos with the characters, is that all your party get in on the photo together. The first time we went to wdw I took hundreds of photos and when I looked at them back home I found I was only in 2 of them! As I am almost spherical in shape some people probably thought that was a good thing!!!
So even though we aren't too bothered about seeing the characters (it takes up too much time) we do queue for a few so that we can be together in a few photos.
So I might as well put capn jack sparrow on my list.:lovestruc
