We're taking the kids (4 and 6) for the first time! We will be at the Music from Jan 19-26

DH and I did one overnight at the campground 9 years ago and only got one day in the MK.

This time we get a whole week with kids and a Park Hopper!!!! :banana:

We're leaving a day earlier now! We found out that our kids have "early release" on Friday 1/15 (no, they aren't in jail. :D) and so we're going to get on the road a day earlier. We're stopping in Jacksonville (we're driving), then heading to Orlando by noon! Woo Hoo!

One thing to mention.... we tried to get Friday night tacked onto our ressie at WL and it's booked solid. In January? ACK! I hope that's not an indication of how busy the parks will be. ;)

MLK weekend tends to be the high weekend for Disney in January because so many schools have a long weekend. Beyond the little rush from the weekend, crowds shouldn't be too bad for you. :goodvibes

We just got back and it was so cold. Glad it is going to warm up for all of you.

But please take hand sanitiser and use it every single time you touch something touched by others!!! I'm not a germaphobe by any means but I learned the hard way this trip. We arrived on Thursday night and by Sunday morning I was very, very sick. I spent from Saturday night to Tuesday afternoon in bed.

Use hand sanitiser after getting off rides, after getting your food from buffets, after getting change back from cashiers, any time you touch something anyone else has touched!

Thank you. You are welcome. I don't want anyone else to go through what I did! I think of the little kids and how easily they can get sick. My husband and I were constantly "pulling over" to sanitize. Oh, I also put lotion in our bag since our hands were drying out between all the washing, sanitizing and the cold weather. We got the sanitizer from Bath & Bodyworks that has the little blue beads in it to help moisturize.

It's been stressful around here and I have reconsidered this trip a coule of times, but we are going! I just hope I can leave all the work stuff behind and just enjoy the trip. Sorry to say, Splash Mountain is closed. My app. was soooo wrong about the wait times. We just got back Saturday evening and were there for 7 days. I would check it while we were in line and it was way wrong. So don't count on it!
