Hi
Have decided to choose Cafe Mickey as one of our dining options.
I was just wondering what is the best time to book at lunchtime or doesnt it matter. 12ish or much later?
Many thanks

The characters are out and about in Cafe Mickey from just after 12 noon, until 2.45pm. So I guess booking for anytime in that period would be fine, as lunchtimes tend to be quieter than evening meals there :).
All of our lunches at the parks were at 12:00, which means that we pretty much had the restaurants and characters (Restaurant des Stars) to ourselves for a little while.

We had a reservation for 12pm at Cafe Mickey when we went in 2005 and it was a great time to go. There was hardly anyone in there and the characters came out just after we got there. DD, then 3, was asleep in her pushchair and got woken up by Mickey and Minnie who then cuddled her on her lap for 5 mins: it was lovely! We had so much time with the characters, it was fantastic, and I'll be booking that time when we go in 10 days time!!! WooHoo!

I've only been once so can't really compare, but we also booked for 12pm and it was nice and quiet for about an hour.

We went end Sept last year and had lunch at that time (on our last day, sob!). Be warned, don't go early at all - we got a right scowl, and a stroppy "the restaurant is not open yet" by the 'greeter' and were made to feel like naughty children for arriving at 11.52 am! The thing was, everywhere else (eventhough we'd booked) we were told to arrive a little early as there is still a queue of people who have booked. So we thought the same at CM!
I agree with the other posters, it is quite quiet for the first 40 mins or so and by the time we left at 1.15 pm ish it was starting to get quite busy indeed. Would like to try the evening one time though as I believe you see more characters on an evening... We saw Mickey, Pluto, Friar Tuck and Prince John. They were great - really good interaction - couldn't complain at all about them, only thing was we'd seen them loads over the period of our stay anyway (we stayed in the DLH and they were floating around there most days!). Not really a problem though as the interaction was first class - soooo funny and they were great with the children - had more time for us etc with it being quiet.
Hope you have a great time :wizard:
