Please tell me the details, prices and what you would recommend? We are just going to have my husband and son and me.

It sure looked like someone was getting married at Castaway Cay when we were there a couple wks. ago.

You can't get married on the cruise on the sea by the captain, if that's what you mean. You can renew your vows onboard with the Captain as the officiant with proof that you are already married (marriage license). You can also make arrangements to get married on Castaway Cay with a local officiant. Costs for that start at about $3000. DCL can give full info.

You can opt to get married at WDW and then cruise. WDW wedding packages start at $3500, not including the cruise.

This is a link to the DCL website under 'Rates, Dates, and More' for their 'Weddings at Sea' offer, with the details:

DCL Weddings at Sea (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/disneycruiseline/ratesanddates/specialoffers/specialofferindex?id=WeddingsatSeaSpecialOffer)

My understanding of the term 'Officiant' is that a Bahamian Official would meet you on Castway cay and perform the ceremony there.

hope that helps

Hi LtHouse...congratulations!

My honey and I are getting married right before our cruise on January 4. We looked into several options.

Getting married on the cruise did not appeal to us for several reasons. First of all, price! Second of all, the wedding is not until Friday, the day before the cruise ends...we wanted to get married closer to the beginning.

We looked into the islands. There are many choices here at each of the stops, from a simple court house wedding to a full hurrah. We decided against this because I was very nervous about not getting into an island due to bad weather or what not. Didn't want to come home still single, after all.

The end result for us was to get married Saturday morning right in Port Canaveral, then to board the cruise and enjoy our honeymoon. What a wonderful way to spend our wedding night...first night on the cruise!

Good luck, and let us know what you decide!
