Has anyone used reward dollars to tip when using the DDP??

Has anyone ever done this? can it be done? we have a ton of reward dollars and would love to use these as our tips when we are there in Sept for FD... Thanks!

I posted the same question several months ago, and several people answered that they had done it. We are planning to do the same on our trip in Sept.

I have used our Disney rewards dollars towards tips. You will have to sign two slips if you are on the dining plan..one for the plan and one to deduct from your rewards points.

We used ours, but we linked our cc to our keys to the world, then paid off the balance with our rewards dollars at the end of the trip. I didn't want to be lugging an extra card around the parks with us - instead I just locked it in the hotel safe since that's where we kept both DH & I's wallets when we weren't there.:thumbsup2

Also there was a post not too long ago on here where someone posted that they paid their tips with cash, but on their last day found that several waiters had also charged their KTTW card for additional tips when they took off the DDP credits. I'd like to think that 99% of the waiter are honest, but how do you know for sure that they take only what you sign for off the Reward card?

If I remember correctly your receipt has your balance printed on it for the rewards card.

from what everyone has said the receipt has the balance on it, plus i know when i leave what i have on it. as for having the tips charged, i know for larger parties they automatically add the tip in. in the past we asked that they do not run the tips and let us pay for them outright, we have never had an issue when using another card or cash with this

We did the same thing and it worked out well. There was one charge on the KTTW card that was incorrect, so I was able to get it removed befoe I paid it off with my Rewards card. Only one thing to carry and I liked knowing that I had a "second chance" in case something was done in error. I got a print out from the desk every 3 or 4 days to stay on top of our spending and receipts. Worked great for us.:thumbsup2
