Can you get any non-alcoholic drink with the DDP? For example, can I order a smoothie, milkshake, or Pirate Punch as my drink. Or does the plan only cover soft drink type drinks?? :confused3

Thanks, :goodvibes

Not sure what the official policy is, but I know some people have reported getting shakes at 50's Prime Time as both drinks and desserts. Watching to see what others report, because we aren't big soda drinkers and would love some variety in our drinks besides lemonade!

There is no cut and dry answer. Some restaurants allow you to order shakes and smoothies as your drink, others count that as your dessert.

Generally, soft drinks.

BUT, there are a few places where you can get shakes (Whispering Canyon Cafe, I know from experience!) and there are a very few that include alcohol (Hoop Dee Doo Revue is the only one that comes to mind).

AFAIK, Pirate Punch, etc are not an option. Though, I'm sure there's been an exception here or there, so I'll never say never!

Do you know if we can get a milk shake as a drink at Le Cellier?

Yes, you can get a milkshake as a drink at LeCellier.

The pirate punch is considered merchandise because of the light up tink or cars and is NOT included on any of the plans. Where I work, the computer is set up to not include these items when we swipe your card for the dining plans and leaves a balance just like with alcohol.

Le Cellier, definitely smoothies; The Wave, milkshakes. Best answer is, ask your waiter/waitress what's allowed because so many places do have smoothies & milkshakes on their menus anyway. Some places will let you order the milkshake for your dessert item (but serve it with your meal if you want.)

What about milk or chocolate milk? Is this covered. I try to get this for the kids instead of soda when a restaurant offers it, but I won't if I have to pay for it.

I'm 99.999% sure that milk is allowed. My older dd prefers water these days, but I do remember they always brought dd#2 a milk and she wasn't even 'on' the DDP (too young, but they were SO good to her!); we were never charged OOP for it.
