when should we start seeing photos of BLT? when is your first stay?

I have been following the construction photos for over a year LOL and can't wait to see Members photos of the rooms and views! :)
( we are not buying points until later this year - saving up a big down payment - hoping for our first trip home in Dec 2010 or march 2011:wizard:)

When is your first stay at BLT?
will there be any photos sooner than "opening day" on mousesavers or DVC news? - do they get a "preview"?

I would guess that sometime after July 15th or so, they'll start the soft open with CMs being allowed to stay at the resort. They should also allow for DVC members to tour (and I guess people interested in purchasing - it seemed that some people touring AKV Kidani last week were prospective buyers, not current members). I wouldn't expect a lot in the way of photos until then. That said, given its location, it's a lot more "exposed" than Kidani, so we'll continue to get some exterior photos all summer.

I can't wait for photos either!! We're going May 30-June 6th, and plan to see the models and view BLT from the contemporary!!

Our first stay at BLT will be Dec 3rd-6th!!

I'm going for my first Christmas (time) ever at Disney and staying at BLT from 12/14 to 12/18. I am curious as to how people feel about the room set up and the views from the studio. I tried getting a MK view but couldn't. I have a Lagoon view. Does anyone know how they are going to work out the roof top viewing for the fireworks?

We will be there at the same time. Just changed our last night at AKV plus added 2 night for BLT. Can't wait to see pictures.

Is BLT your home resort? I am curious b/c I bought into BLT and I would hope that the 11 month window would be enough of an advantage for me not to be locked out of the MK view even in the busy season. One of the big reasons we bought into BLT for the MK view.

I have the Lake View booked over New Years. Does this mean a view of the Lake (only), or does it include a pool view?

Does anyone have a good layout map of BLT and where the standard/value rooms are, and where the MK view and bay lake views are. I am having trouble with the spacial relationships, lol. MK view actually looks over the parking area towards the park, I assume?

I am so thrilled to be there on New Years this year.

We'll be staying at BLT in a LV Studio from 9/26 to 10/4. We don't own there but were able to switch our SSR stay with no problem. We would have preferred a standard view since we figure we are rarely in our room to admire the view but none were available. DH didn't ask about MK view since we wouldn't do the extra points. We are hoping that we will be able to do the fireworks from the rooftop lounge - that sounded interesting to us.

We are anxious to see pictures and will be watching for someone to post them!

We're checking in on Thanksgiving Day. We're owners and couldn't get a MK view but I did call the first day they opened reservations. It took me a long time to get through. We're only staying 2 nights before our cruise so I wasn't too disappointed about not getting the MK view.

Originally we had booked BCV for the last 3 nights of our August trip then DVC announced that BLT would be opening early than expected! We aren't owners at BLT so when I called back in February after it opened up to non-owners I thought, if anything, we might get a LV - but we were able to get those 3 nights in a 1BR MK view!! We are really looking forward to ending our trip there :banana: ! August 20th-23rd

We're not DVC members, but we were able to book a 1-bedroom villa, MK view for opening day.

Moreso, we plan on arriving VERY early so we can get the highest, non-grand villa floor.

No, I'm not a BLT owner. We have contracts at VWL and BCV. I had a 2BR booked at VWL and a 1BR booked at BCV for December 12-19th. I was going to have to change one of them over at 7months, so we could all be together, and thought I would take a chance on getting rooms at BLT.
