I have a quick question - DD & I will be joining some friends for dinner a couple of times. We all have the dining plan. Are we allowed to just use say two (or three) of our credits, and share between the four of us. This would let us stretch our plan to include a couple of two credit restaurants. Just wondering. With some of the portions being so large, just thought we'd ask! TIA!

If you're at a restaurant that permits you to share meals (most of them do - I know we've had reports that Beaches & Cream won't let people on the dining plan share entrees. I have seen reports that some other posters weren't allowed to at other restaurants, but others were allowed to at the same restaurant, so it may depend entirely on who your server is.

I plan to share with DD at some QS places...but not at the TS. Seems like Disney would discourage that to me.?

I don't know if you could do it at TS or not. My mom and I split CS meals all the time, of course that means we're always stuck with a ton of leftover credits on our last day :rotfl:.

Most reports I have read say no sharing at TS restaurant when you're using the DDP, but it's fine when paying OOP.

Beaches and Cream is the only TS I've seen on the boards with multiple reports that they don't allow DDP customers to share entrees. I've seen reports that some persons were allowed to share at a TS and others were not allowed to share at the same TS so I'd ask the server.
It seems to be permitted most a la carte TS places. Buffets and all you can eat restaurants never permit sharing. Shula's is the only place I've seen reported as having an extra plate fee (and they're not on the dining plan anyway).
