Looking at going all out for my wife...am debating spending all 2 weeks at WDW or doing half WDW and half a DCL cruise.
Can a DCL family-oriented cruise indeed be romance on the high seas?:smooth:
It better be...we're taking 5 of our kids on our honeymoon! LOL

Go for a week on DCL. It is truly a romantic experience. There are adults-only areas, and several quiet spots on the ship where you can spend some time together. May I also suggest the spa, and more precisely, the Surial Mud Bath for two? (wink, wink) You can definitely find romance on the cruise. Enjoy!

Just being on a cruise cannot help but be romantic. Some of the most romantic things my husband and I did on our cruise weren't even "activities." Every night we took a walk on deck 10 and looked at the stars. Up at the front of the ship the lights are out and there is no light pollution in the middle of the ocean. Room service breakfasts (room service is included) and sleeping in. The adult pool truly is quiet (it's amazing, anything can be going on at the family pool and it will be quiet at the adult pool). Dinner at Palo when you are all dressed up is not to be missed and sooooooooo romantic. So is brunch and tea, when the sun is up and you can see the view.
Since you have the luxury of a 2 week vacation I cannot think of anything more wonderful than a week at WDW combined with a week long cruise. I used to think I wouldn't give up even one second at WDW for anything but a cruise is worth it!

For a comical review of the spa and surial bath do not miss 'Time is not Fair' trip report by Hiddenhearth which I now have posted on my website -- or you can find it chapter by chapter on the trip report board. (particularly the last couple of chapters). You will realize the romance that can be had after reading this report.

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary with a week in WDW and a cruise following. We leave on Friday and will be arriving 10 years to the date from the last stay so we can let you know how it worked out.
We did a 7 day (4day land 3 Big Red Boat) for our honeymoon and said we would always make it back before now but hey we are making it happen. Also taking the grandparents and our DS age 6. We are doing the stay at the Beach Club and then off to the DCL Western for the 7 day!!!!
