Does anyone know if free dining is booked or are there still resorts available? If so, which ones do you know of that are available? We want to go the last week of September. (Pretty popular time I know. Just wondering what anybody knows)
Thanks!

There's plenty of availability last time I looked. I'm planning a trip for a friend for Sept 17 to 22 and one for myself for Sept 25 to Oct 4, so I've been keeping an eye on booking levels for the end of the free dining period. Yeah, I'm obsessed. LOL

IMHO, having a DU agent look into the matter for me saved me time and money. They are always very kind and ready to check on any silly request I may give them. When one resort I wanted wasn't available for all of my dates, she immediately found one that was, and gave me the options. That's what I call service!

I don't think it's booking up as fast as it did last year. I'm still seeing lots of 2 b/r villas and rooms at WL- which usually go super fast.

I thought labor day weekend would sell out fast, but there is availability at almost every resort:confused3? Maybe people are waiting to see what happens, then last minute folks will book? Just a thought?

I just booked the Polynesian for 8/26-8/30 yesterday with no problem. I found availability pretty much everywhere I looked, except for ASMu family suites.

I think free dining is not filling up as fast this year because everybody and their brother is doing the 4/3 deal this summer.

Why dont you go to the website and put in the dates you want and see whats available?

I'd also suggest going to the site and checking dates. And don't let it fool you either. For example, if you choose a value resort from the types listed and it only lists All-Star Movies, that's not necessarily the only resort with rooms available. Click the "Edit" button on the left and choose the resort you really want from the drop down menu. I have to do this to keep an eye on Pop (which is still available despite people here saying it's typically filled by now) since they apparently altered the layout since the offer was first announced.

Maybe people just do not have money to go this year, or are saving their money in case their job is the next to disappear?

I just booked on Friday free dining at POP for Sept 7th-12. I was actually surprised at being able to book this value resort. I think we kind of hype up this promo on the DIS and it doesn't book up as crazily as we think it does.

This is the first time since 2006 that POP Century wasn't sold out by the end of the first day that the FD promo came out for the general public.

Not quite true, it may have been sold out early, but we were able to hunt it up later in the promo last year:thumbsup2

We booked ASMu family suites for Oct. 3 thru Oct. 9th. By strarting on the last day of FD we got it for the whole week! This was the only dates that I could find for family suites. Hope going in Oct. will not be as crowded.:cool1:

I'm sure availability changes as some people cancel but 2 days ago I checked my dates (Aug 19-24) and the only moderate available was CBR.

Princess Tiffany is way off base on the sellout. Last year I booked FD for last week in Sept. at POP a few weeks b4. ADR's were tought to get at that time but the CM's will be glad to help you if you ask for alternatives. Such as PSB instead of CRT. IMO much better value 1 less TS more princesses and picture package. That being said booked CRT for Mom DW & DD for this year for a girls treat while us boys go off to play somewhere else. Last point to be made is crowd levels are projected to be way way way way down from last year so I would think booking must also be down and FD promo book by date will be extended.:wizard:

I am not way off base. The is the first year that Pop has not sold out very quickly after the FD promo came out for the general public. You may have been one of the lucky ones that got a Pop reservation after they released some more rooms late in the promotion, but it was sold out for many weeks and there were still many, many people on this board that reported that they could not ever get the fd reservation for Pop last year.
