Hi, I have noticed on the CS menus that the kids meals say something like "kids can pick two sides, either apples, carrots, fries, cookie" etc to accompany their main entree. When using the basic DP, do they then also get a dessert listed on the menu or are the two sides ( such as choosing a cookie) in place of a dessert? Thanks!

Nope. One of the two sides counts as dessert. They're hoping your kid will pick fruit, nudge nudge.
We are using the dining plan for the first time in August this year, i know the TS credits are different for kids meals and adult meals but are the CS meals different aswell or are all the CS credits just pooled together:confused3

Thanks for the quick answer. That is what I figured or the kids meals would end up having more food than an adult CS meal!!!!!

The kids CS meals barely have enough food to feed one small child (4 nuggets, 2 slices of turkey pinwheel, a pizza the size of a saucer) - Disney needs to remember that 8-9 years olds eat more than 3-4 year olds. We will end up buying a lot of extras in addition to the kids meals for our kids ages 8 and almost 6 at travel time.

They are not separated. But you will be unable to order more meals than you have people assigned to your room reservation. If your key card says you have two adults and one child, you will be able to buy a maximum of two adult meals and one child meal and pay with the dining plan. If you try to order three adult meals, you will have to pay cash for one.
Discussion of using credits for which one paid a child's price to order meals from the regular menu (at CS where a child's menu option is present) is not permitted on the restaurant boards and any such discussion will be deleted.
Thank you for the information - just got to try and figure out 21 days of dining now, all the menus look so good knowing where to book is so difficult, back to the board to do a bit more reading.
