We're planning a week long trip during Free Dining. This year, we're planning to visit the parks on only 3 days. We'll book ADR's for dinner at park restaurants on those days. For the other days, we're planning to have our dinners at the resort restaurants where possible.

I'll be travelling with DH, DSD 17 and DD 11. DD11 and I aren't big eaters and could probably split a combo meal.

Which resort restaurants would you recommend?

WOW before I opened this up to reply I was going to say the same 2 restaurants.:thumbsup2
We use to like Capt'n Jacks but that was for the twin lobsters and now removed from the menu.:sad2:

The Turf Club at Saratoga Springs, Konas at the Poly, Cape May at BC, Bomas or Jiko at AKL, plus the new Sanaa at Kidani Villages at AKL, also looks interesting, Flying Fish at BW, Calif Grill and the Wave at the Contemporary, Narcoosee, Citricos, and the GF Cafe at the GF, and Artist Point at WL.

O'hana at the Poly is a must do for us every trip. Make a reservation 7:00 and ask for a window seat (not guarenteed) and you can eat dessert while watching wishes. The food is amazing too.

Definitely Ohana's at the Poly- it was magical on our last visit and I'm sorry we had waited so long to try it!

Olivia's at OKW is an often overlooked charmer - have had great food and service twice.
Enjoy!

I'm also going to throw in Whispering Cannon Cafe at WL and 1900 Park Fare in GF.

Then there's the dinner shows like Hoop Dee Doo or Mickey's Backyard BBQ.

My personal vote is for Ragland Road at DTD...or also Boma at AKL.

If you've never been to HDDR, I would highly recommend it. 2 TS credits each.

We ate at Raglan Road in March and were pleasantly surprised. We'll go back.

We've always enjoyed O'Hana but think it's not quite as good as it used to be. Still worth a visit if you haven't been before.

Whispering Canyon is another fun place for the family.

Wishes isn't always at 7PM so double check your times accordingly....it would suck to get their too early and just hang out far too long.

Ohana's does rock for Wishes though....it's a hidden gem as far as I am concerned.
