Project X?!?!?!?!

So Pete posted on Facebook he is working on "Project X". He also said "All I will say is that the people on my Facebook page will be the first to find out when it's ready :)" and "It's really pretty cool and no it doesn't have anything to do with California - well, not exactly. It does kind of, but not really." It has nothing to do with the Podcast cruise and he will be "milking this for a while" (must be taking taunting lessons from Kevin).

Wasn't "Project X" the name of WDW when Walt was creating and dreaming of the resort?

I think Pete's "Project X" is a DIS theme park including the "Bob Varley Studios Tour".

John will be at the entrance collecting admission.
Kevin will be in charge of the restaurant.
Corey will be in charge of entertainment.
Julie will take care of the Studio Store.
Walter will be in charge of the landscaping and give tours of the gardens.
Teresa will sell chocolates.
Kathy will take photos of all the guests and sell them at the exit.

The main attraction will be a show called "Pete's Rants."

Oh, and yes ... whatever it is, it will probably cost money.

At some point I'm going to have to learn to shut my mouth. I have to be honest. When I posted the update on my Facebook page "Working on Project X", I really did not think it would get this much attention. I've actually got people calling me and emailing me wanting to know what "Project X" is - including some of my friends at Disney (they get scared when I say I'm working on something they don't know about, and on this one, they probably should be). I'm loathe to 'over-hype' this by any means. It's just a project I've been working on for a few months now that definitely has a 'cool' factor to it, but really doesn't warrant all this focus. While I'm not ready to announce anything yet, I can promise you this will not involve thousands of dollars on your Visa card or anything like that.

With that said, we do have some things to announce on the cruise that will involve the use of your Visa cards, like the next podcast cruise (we'll actually announce that on our next show), as well as some other trips we're planning for later this year and next April (something that will coincide with Walter's 50th birthday - you can just imagine what I'll do to celebrate that!).

Just so you know, regarding "Project X" the first place I'm going to announce that is on my Facebook page - so if you haven't sent me a friend request, go do that now :)

Pete has created a new 501(c)(3) charity. The IRS hasn't approved a name yet, so it's just called Project X.

It has two primary objectives:

1. Making sense out of decisions made by WDW management.

2. Forcing tourists to stay out of the damn lakes.

When you stated that you will announce Project X on Facebook being a good Disney Enabler I had to join Facebook. I was pleased to see it wouldn't cost me thousands of dollars. Then I read about more trips being announced on the cruise... I think I am going to have to change my Disboard name. I am not sure I am going to be able to keep up with what my husband will want to join in on.

It would amazing if it was a DLRP meet, I'd be there in a heartbeat, thank god for some of a student loan and interest free overdraft ;) And I'd get to go, since it wouldn't matter if I go by myself! We could set up an entire tour far better than the guided tours that disney do, since theres so many of us who know the parks!
