good evening all and appologies if this is posted in the wrong place !!
Looking for some up to date info about the NBC ( staying end of august ) have searched the NBC thread but many posts 2-3yrs old and I think some stuff has changed , anyway here goes....

1) Can i hire pool towels and at roughly what cost (and pool times) ??
2) How do i contact hotel to make special requests - do they have a email?
3) Is it worth upgrading to admirals or not ?
4) On last day can we leave cases in hotel after checked out , we dont fly home til 9pm ? if so do they charge for this ??

Of course if anyone else has any feedback/advice to get the best from our 1st DLP trip they are greatly rec'd !!! :yay:

We came back yesterday and stayed at NBC Admirals floor for 3 nights.

In answer to your questions

1) Yes you can hire pool towels- free for admirals floor, sorry dont know how much for standard rooms
2) Contact the hotel via the website or guest relations (Disney Website)
3) We paid roughly £100 more for Admirals Lake View. It depends what you want. The rooms themselves are same standard and size as normal rooms. We didnt want to have to queue at check in (and the queues are massive at times!) Admirals have seperate check in and we never had any more than 1 guest in front of us whereas I stopped counting at 80 people in the queue for standard! Tea/coffee facilities are free although its really just a kettle and you could take your own. Hairdryer in admirals rooms but again you could take your own. Room service in Admirals available and not in standard, room service breakfast is E10 per room per day paid in cash to waitress when she brings breakfast. Main advantage is that Admirals floor rooms are in central part of main building. Be aware that some standard rooms are up to 20 minutes walk from reception- NBC IS REALLY that huge!!!
4) Yes you can leave your luggage, but dont know if they charge. I did see a lot of people leaving their luggage and didnt see anyone pay but I couldnt say for sure so best check.

A very good answer above, just to fill in some information on number 4.

When we stayed in January we were on the Admirals floor and bell services will take your luggage to your room and upon your departure day will take and store them until they are needed

You make sure all your bags are packed and ready on the morning of your check out and call Bell Services to collect them, explaining that you will be retrieving them later. If they stare at you blankly down the phone, as happened to us, simply speak to someone on the Admirals floor reception desk and they will sort it. I wish all the CMs at DLRP would read off the same page.

There was no charge for this service when staying on the Admirals floor don't know about non AF guests.

is pool ok for a 5 year old? I heard it was really deep, but that could be another hotel

There is a shallow end at the entrance to the pool and it gradually gets deeper. Our almost-5 year-old was fine and she's small for her age.

There is no charge for the luggage store (whatever package you have booked). As you exit the hotel turn left and you will see the doors to the luggage store. Your bags will get tagged and you will be given a receipt. Just turn up later and hand this back to retrieve your bags.
