The only time we went in June, it rained the entire trip. It wasn't hot at all. I'm anticipating that it WILL be hot this time. In trying to pack as lightly as possible (and possibly save some baggage fees!), do we need to bring long pants or jeans for June? I'm thinking we won't need them...but I'd like to hear experiences of others. (we will bring sweatshirts, just in case)

I plan on bringing:

5 shirts
3 pair of shorts
3 pair of capris
1 pair of jeans
1 sweatshirt
Swim wear

I think that should do it! :lmao: I do plan on changing twice a day. I plan on shorts in the morning, and capris/shirt or jeans/sweatshirt at night. I also plan on doing laundry while I'm there.

The last time I was there in June it was in the 90's every day and @ 80 at night. Plus it was humid.

I don't think you will need the jeans (and probably not the sweatshirts).

We went in June last year and it was mid 90s everyday. I would recommend traveling in jeans so you won't need to pack them. I doubt you'll need to wear them at all during the trip. It was too hot to even wear them at night. You won't need the sweatshirt unless you get cold in air conditioned restaurants or shows. Again, you might want to travel with it.

Thanks all! The jeans will stay at home. 80's at night....no need for long pants!

The sweatshirts will be for the plane (a.c.) and "just in case" we get a cold front...:lmao: Seriously, we're leaving home at 4:30 a.m. for the airport, so we'll probably want some warmth that early in the morning.

I'm trying hard to get clothing for 4 people into 2 or 3 carry-ons and one checked bag. I'd rather not spend $60 on baggage fees!!

We were there last June and September
One night in September I wore a light jacket but the rest of the time it was hot and humid and June was very hot, no jacket needed
A light jacket is always good especially if you are in a restaurant and the A/C is too cold

Have you been in June before? You won't need capris or jeans at night. Shorts will still be perfectly fine! I'd add in some shorts and tank top or sleeveless tops and skip the capris & jeans. The only need for a sweatshirt would be if you find the A/C cold in restaurants, but you definitely won't need it outside.

:lmao: I've never been in June before, but I'm cold at anything lower than 80, but I will make the adjustments! Thanks so much for the advice. :thumbsup2

I didn't even need any long sleeves for the first week in February last year so you will definitely not need them for June. We pack only shorts and short-sleeved shirts for summer in Disney. Remember that in the south it doesn't
cool off at night in the hot months. You will still be sweating buckets at midnight.

I'm always cold too if it is under 80 degrees!

We have never been in June before, but I'm very excited. :goodvibes We went in July last year, so I'm anticipating the weather to be very similar. I'm not going to pack any jeans, but I will probably bring a sweatshirt in case it gets cold at night or if I'm going to be in air conditioning. Does it rain very much in June?

I also get cold very easily. We've been to WDW several times in June, and there was only one trip where I needed a sweatshirt. It was very rainy, so I was constantly wet and going in and out of the air conditioning made me uncomfortable. I remember sitting beside the pool fully clothed wrapped in towels to keep me warm while my kids swam :confused3 But I never pack jeans for June trips!

Does it make a difference whether you go in early June vs. late June? We will be there the 1-8. Not necessarily determining the difference in bringing a sweater/no sweater but just weather in general? I know it is HOT at both times but just curious!

No, it won't matter! I have been around Memorial Day weekend and it's been 95+! We live about 8 hours away in South Carolina. We are already approaching 90 now. We'll be back there again this June also-taking shirts, shorts, and swimsuits. Light jackets will be left in the car just in case. Hope this helps! Have a great trip!:cool1:

We were there in June '08 and it was 95-100 every day. However, every day between 4-6 it would rain and cool things off. I was fine in the evening but MIL and others in my party wore a light jacket.

Since it was so hot, I went through at least 2 shirts a day. Pack extras!

I always pack extra socks - lots of them! We usually go back to the hotel for some mid-day swimming and I don't like to put sweaty socks back on.
