I thought I saw a thread on another forum that said that crowd levels were basically low right now. Unfortunately, I can't find the thread again. I think that if this is true, we won't all of a sudden get hit with crowds next week. Let's wish for low crowds but we'll still have fun even if they are a little high. We're in the World!

Still trying to do some packing and checking the Fla. local TV's weather forcast. So far looks like it will be warm, upper 80's and the lows of 65 will be in the middle of the night. LOL Well that's better than 100+ so I'll take it.

My neighbor was there last week but I have not spoken to them. Honestly she asked me to feed the cat and I did (not sure why but I did) but we talk next to never and my kids don't like to play w/ hers much. So while I am really curious to find out what the crowds were like I figure I can find that out here instead. LOL :rotfl:

Indeed! My wife is good at helping me to remember that. I'm over here trying to make lists of snacks we need, things we need to bring, DIS threads we need to print, etc. etc. and she just smiles and says "it will be all okay!"

I just get wrapped up in the planning so much because the anticipation is so much fun.

We leave tomorrow, so tonight the plan is to mow the lawn and pack! Then I get to stop reading about other people's vacations and have my own! :banana:

I went to Target for the FOURTH TIME this week. I have to be done! There couldn't possibly be anything else that I need. Oh, wait, except for that one thing.....:rotfl:

I am doing major packing tonight and will do the minor stuff Friday night and Saturday morning just before we leave so I will hopefully get everything.

I hope that the weather doesn't stay in the high 80s all the time but it doesn't look like it's going to come down. Oh well, at least the thunderstorms that they were predicting seemed to have gone away.

We had fun at Target last weekend. They had this huge.. I'm going to say JUG of honey roasted peanuts on sale. We bought it with vigor. Munching on a big thing of nuts is a great way to pass the time during the 16 hour drive to WDW. That and Twizzlers. And Skittles. Dangit. Gotta go to the store!

Lots to do tonight, including mowing the lawn and packing. I can't believe it's time to pack!

I've been looking at accuweather, but it's been ridiculous - one day, it said no rain, then rain everyday. Now it looks like the rain's all gone again. Looks like we're at mid-80s now, which is just fine with me because it was 95 the last time we were at WDW. The only trouble is that it's cold here in IL, so we're not yet used to summer temps!

Work is hard. I keep coming back to the DIS to get my fix. Just trying to wrap up a big project so that it's not sitting on my desk when I come back from vacation!

Thanks for the encouragement. It's been a rough 20 hours or so. All this planning and preparation, and then bang. I think I've convinced myself that I don't have swine flu, which was my first thought. No fever or sore throat, so I think it's just stress, sleep deprivation (too much planning), previous history of vertigo, and all that wrapped up together.

I just hope it fades fast because I don't want to miss lots of rides for fear of another episodes. Usually my symptoms last from a week to a month.

Hoping the car ride doesn't cause problems. The tricky bit will be helping my wife drive the 11 hour leg tomorrow (or not). She can handle the five hour leg today, thankfully.

Trying to keep my outlook up, though. Don't want to bring gloom to all those partying on this thread!

I'm happy to hear that you are still going, thorpin! A positive outlook can turn around a bad situation. If you are conviced you are going to be fine you might be surprised to find that you actually are!

had a scare this AM. Went to work last night and got home about 1:00 am (not unusual) got up around 6 and the room was spinning, :sick: felt like I drank too much (and didn't) was throwing up (I know, TMI, sorry) and it just got worse. Thankfully DH was home today so he took me and watched DS while I spent 2 hrs in patiend first. The took blood work and found nothing. They think maybe it's a inner ear thing. So I have some anti dizziness pills (hope it does the same thing as my dramamine for my ride sickness) Thkfully other than a feeling bit worn down from not eating till lunch time I feel fine. Occasionally dizzy but tolerable. I figure better safe than sorry and better this than something worse.
That said still doing the happy dance (just not spinning) :dance3: that tomorrow we start our vacation (by going to my parents) then the next day we will be there!!!

My better half asked me last week if I wanted to go to Disney. (As is she really needed to ask such a silly question.) She found a good deal on a hotel. So we decided that an emergency trip to WDW was in order!

This will be a whirlwind short trip to the World. I'll pick her up in Atlanta after work on Thursday. We'll drive down to Valdosta to spend the night. Then finish up the drive Friday morning. We'll be in the park by 10am. We get to enjoy all day Friday, Saturday, and a couple of hours on Sunday. Then head for home and back to work on Monday morning.

I can't wait!!!!!!
