View Full Version : Indecision & Obsession! A Sept. PTR with a toddler for DxDP, MNSSHP, and F&W!

Hi! Welcome to what will probably be a very indecisive PTR! It is one of my character flaws—I can’t make a decision to save my life! I apologize in advance, but if you’re like me and planning a trip is half the fun, please stick around! I need you to help me make decisions! :lmao:

This trip plans to be my last to the World until an undetermined future date… :sad1: After we return though, we’d like to get started on a new adventure—giving our DD a little sibling (hopefully a little brother)! So, this trip has to be special and one to remember (aren’t they all?), because I don’t know when I’ll be back… However, I do know that I will be back! Now, I’ll get started on some basics:

Who: Me: 25—a SAHM who is obsessed with Disney. My first trip was in 1997 at the age of 13… I’ve been hooked ever since, but have only made it back twice. I even did a social studies project on Walt Disney and the history of (mostly) Walt and his movies. We placed 2nd, but sadly I don’t have the project anymore. I think my partner got that. :sad2:This will be my fourth trip to my happy place. I love The Lion King (I had a huge crush on JTT!!), Beauty and The Beast is a second, with Little Mermaid rounding out my top three.

DH: 27—My Prince Charming—not so obsessed with Disney, but wants to see me happy. We met in college on my second day of class, freshman year… took a couple of months being friends and doing the college thing (beer pong :rolleyes1) and then got super serious, super fast. We’ve been together almost seven years, married for over 3. Last year he didn’t help in planning our trip at all. This year he has already looked at menus. His only requests are good food and good beer (he doesn’t drink very often, but loves a good cold one on vacation)! He wants to eat at Biergarten again, but we’re trying lunch this time instead of dinner. He’s never been much of a Disney fan, favoring Bugs Bunny over Disney movies, and would really like to go to “that other amusement park in Orlando”. :confused3

DD:turning 2 next month. I am devastated—she's growing up too fast. She is my princess!! She loves all things Disney—Nemo, Wookie and Bee (her names for Woody and Buzz), and Minnie and Mickey. Last year she was a little scared of the characters, but I’m hoping this year she’ll love them! She had a blast dancing at Biergarten, drinking frozen cokes and lemonade, and dancing in the water sprinklers at Epcot and Ariel's Grotto!

What: Our 2nd Family Walt Disney World Vacation! We’re upgrading from Free Dining to Deluxe, (maybe) attending MNSSHP (it’s one of those things I can’t decide about) and spending some time enjoying the beginning of the Food & Wine Festival—we’re going to have lots of Snack credits to use! Yay!

When: We’re going September 23, 2009- September 30, 2009—7 happy nights at the happiest place on Earth!

Where: POP Century!! Last year we stayed at ASMusic, because when I booked the free dining, it was between Music and Sports. This year I can’t wait for Pop and the free frozen cokes and Goofy’s water sprinklers for DD! She’s going to love both!

Why: Why? Because we love it! Ok, I love it and DD and DH are just along for the ride! This will be my second trip in about a year’s time. Before my last trip, I hadn’t been in almost a decade! I definitely want to make up for lost time!

How: Lots of indecision and obsessive planning will lead us to our destination—The Happiest Place on Earth!

Here's picture from our Sept. 08 trip... As soon as Photobucket starts cooperating :headache:, I'll upload some more

Now, here comes the fun part to my planning—where the indecision and obsession really comes into play—the ADRs! As I’ve mentioned, we’ve decided to upgrade from Free Dining to Deluxe Dining. While I’m convinced it will be too much food, the regular Dining was not enough last year for DH. I would starve at Disney—to get more time out of the parks, but DH and DD require some fuel. Here are the places I’m leaning towards at the moment, if possible. Of course I’m indecisive and these may change, but right now I’m feeling pretty good about them. I just wish Disney would release Sept. park hours soon!

Since I’m without hours, and not really sure which day we’ll be at which park, these are the meals and restaurants I’m hoping for:

Breakfast Must-Dos
Crystal Palace- A repeat from last year—food is pretty decent, good character interaction, and a great way to see MK before opening. This will be hopefully be scheduled on a MK non-EMH day!
Kona Café- This is new for us. I must try the Tonga Toast AND Macadamia nut pancakes… I’ve decided I’ll order the Tonga Toast and DH can order the Big Kahuna—now I’m not only planning where to eat, but what he’s going to eat! Haha j/k—a little anyways!
Donald’s Breakfast at Tusker House- This is new for us too. Food looks decent and we’re likely only to do a ½ day at AK so this will (hopefully) get us there bright and early!

Lunch Must-Do’s
The Plaza- We haven’t eaten here before, but we are the burgers and fries type of people. We really didn’t care for many of the CS food, so this is a step above (I’m hoping)
Biergarten- DH’s only specific restaurant request, so I’ll honor it… Besides, DD loved dancing here last time. Does the band play at lunch times too??? I really hope so!
Sci Fi or 50s PTC- One of these is a must-do! We had 50s last year, and I will be stopping in to get a PB&J shake at the Tune-In Lounge anyway, but we’re leaning towards Sci-Fi. DH actually wants to try that instead.

Dinner Must-Do’s
Tutto Italia- All three of us love our pastas! We had an ADR here in Sept. but I became sick and we had to cancel it! :sad2:
Le Cellier- I want to get DH a great steak and this seems to have great reviews. I hope we can get it!
‘Ohana- I really think DH would like the skewers of meat!

Alternatives/Maybe Do’s :)
Chefs de France- (Dinner)DH wants to try it, I’m still undecided.
Narcoossee’s- I’m still unsure about taking DD to a signature dinner, but I love some good seafood! Also, not sure I want to deal with 2 – 2 ½ hours for dinner—that’s cutting away my park time!
Mickey’s BBQ (must be a Thursday or Saturday)- I really think DD would enjoy this!!! I don’t mind spending the 2TS, but again, it cuts into my park time-haha
CRT-(breakfast) I would love to eat in the Castle. My first experience at Disney was as a bratty 13 year old. Also, MK is really lacking on the TS food options! Since we’re upgrading to DxDP, the 2TS isn’t really an issue, but I just can’t decide if I should do it or not… DD really isn’t into princesses, and I think I’ll feel a little guilty taking a ressie away from a potential princess-lover. However, we have to eat somewhere! (See, indecisive!!!)
Mama Melrose (maybe Fantasmic package) (L or D)- DH picked this and Sci-Fi for our DHS days. We’ll probably stick with it since Hollywood BD doesn’t look too great, especially for a 2TS!
‘OHana’s (B)- I really don’t like Lilo & Stitch… Just not my cup ‘o tea, but again, MK is really lacking in the food, so we’d like to do this before a MK morning.
Chef Mickey’s (B)- Last year, we did this for lunch during free dining. I wasn’t overly impressed, but again, we just need some breakfast ideas.
The Wave (B or D)- it’s on the monorail, menu looks ok… we just need some good breakfast food, darnit!
Liberty Tree Tavern (L or D)- it’s a TS in the MK
San Angel Inn (L)- I’d like to try it here, DH—not so much
Rose & Crown (L)- It would be a different type of food for us.
Coral Reef (L)- Food sounds pretty good and DD would love the “Nemos” in the tanks!

Any and all input would be really appreciated, especially if you've taken a little one along!

Definately do Ohana and definately do CRT for breakfast! My mother and I took DD6 when she was 4 and she LOVED it! She's not into princesses either, but the whole experience of actually seeing the princesses and fairy godmother and doing the magical wish.....it was amazing for her too and she still talks about it to this day!:cutie: She wants to go again to CRT with her big sister this next trip, so we're goingDM and I had tears in our eyes the WHOLE time! If you like Italian, why not try Tony's in MK? Also, the Cape May Cafe character breakfast earns repeats and rave reviews from my best GF who it also a Disney nut. 1900 Park Fare gets decent reviews too and you get to see the Grand Floridian, which is absolutely beautiful! Instead of Mama Melrose, do Hollywood and Vine instead at DHS. I've heard nothing but bad and seen nothing but bad about it all over these boards and thensome:scared: Also in AK...Flame Tree BBQ is supposed to awesome!:thumbsup2
Here's some pics of CRT when we went in 2/07:

Thank you so much for the suggestions and pictures! Your little girl is a doll!! Last year we tried Tony's for lunch and it was decent. I would go back, especially since they're aren't many choices in MK! I'm going to have to look at H&V's menu now--I don't think I even showed it to DH when he picked MM! And 1900 would give me an excuse to go to the GF! :rolleyes1 Thanks again!

When: We’re going September 23, 2009- September 30, 2009—7 happy nights at the happiest place on Earth!

Hello,

We will also be at POP Century September 22 - 28th. I have started a Pre - Trip report, but it is for two different trips and I haven't written the POP part yet.

We are thinking of some of the same things as you: MNSSHP, Food & Wine, and we may try the Fort Wilderness Segway adventure.

Le Cellier- I want to get DH a great steak and this seems to have great reviews. I hope we can get it!

May I suggest the Yachtsmen Steakhouse in place of Le Cellier. I think the steaks are far better at Yachtsmen and it is only a short walk from the international gateway. The only draw back: they don't have the wonderful cheddar cheese soup.

I have eaten at Narcoosees several times and there have always been families with little ones. I think it will be fine. You could preview the menu prior to going and choose what your going to eat. Then let your server know that you don't want to spend too much time away from the park. I think you should be able to get out of there in less than 2 hours.

Thanks for the suggestions! I had thought about Yachtsman in place of/in addition to! DH would eat steak every day if he could! We had reservations there last Sept. but I decided to stick with the regular DDP instead of DxDP and it was one of the reservations I decided to cancel before we went. I've seen pictures and that has me thinking I might have made a mistake! :rolleyes1 That's a great idea about ordering at Narcoossee's! I already know I want the lobster or the surf and turf! :rotfl2:

We have a lot of the same picks, although I'm going to have to narrow mine down since we're just doing the DDP. But now I think I'm going to have to go see what the price difference would be to upgrade....:lmao:

I wish they'd hurry up and release those darn park hours!!

When we went in Sept. we ended up paying OOP for a couple of meals, and DH didn't really care for any QS meal he had... so we decided to upgrade. I think it's 32/night per person. For us it was around $448 difference (2 peoplex$32/nightx7nights) and that includes a refillable mug per person! I'm excited about that for the frozen cokes for DD! She loved the frozen drinks in the park and they kept her busy!

Itinerary
Without park hours, this is a little difficult, but I have everything broken down into half days since we’ll be taking mid-day breaks and will probably go to a different park at night: Epcot 2 ½ days, MK 2 days (2 ½ if we get to Orlando at a decent time), AK ½ day, and DHS 1 day.
Day 1:
We plan to leave her house in west TN on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd and drive as far as DH can. He’ll be coming home from work that day, and it depends on how he’s feeling. Then, we’ll check into a hotel some where along the way for the night. Yahoo maps and my GPS say it takes around 13 ½ hours to get there, but we’ll be making a few stops for DD (and DH as he’s probably worse than a toddler in the car!:lmao:)
Day 2:
We’ll then wake up (hopefully) bright and early on Wed. Sept. 23rd (wherever we are)and drive the rest of the way to POP! We’ll check in and if time is good, we’ll head to MK. If not, we’ll relax at the resort—taking pics, swimming, or lounging around. I think DD will be ready to run though, after being in the car for that long. I want to grap our refillable mugs and take advantage of the frozen cokes! Dinner will be either at POP or probably Pecos Bills, unless we can get a walk-up ADR somewhere (which I don't see happening). I would like to hit the sack pretty early so that we can wake up for rope drop for one of our favorites…….

I would suggest NOT going to a park the day you arrive at POP. You'll be soooo tired from the car. I would tak a dip in the pool to relax and then head to DTD for dinner:thumbsup2 There are some great choices out there! We ate at Trex last Saturday night and it was yummy! It is loud in there, so that may not be good for your little one:confused3 Fulton's looked like fun and I hear they have great seafood! Also Raglan Road smelled DELICIOUS!

Yeah, I don't see MK happening the first day, but if we get there early I might have to squeeze it in! :rotfl: That would be a nice time to go to DTD! I have it schedule for our last day, but we could do both! I don't think TRex or Fulton's are on the DDP. DH would probably really like Raglan Road though! I'll have to check that out! Thanks for the suggestions! :goodvibes

OMG! The GF looks gorgeous!! One day, one day... haha Thanks for the pics. I think tea would be so much fun to do when DD gets older! I'm still really playing around with ADRs too! I want to be "flexible" (as much as I can) for when I get to make... I have lists upon lists with where we "have" to eat and then a lot of alternatives. I'm crazy!

We went to DTD 2 nights since it was so crowded and there is SO much to do! We ate at Planet Hollywood the other night and it was great! It is also loud in there tho!

The afternoon tea was fabulous, but I agree your DD should be at least 5 or 6 before you take her so she can remember and enjoy it:) I took lots of pics of the food and tea setup there. I'll be posting them in my TR if you're interested and want to check them out;)

We had a ton of ADR's too, cuz we love to eat our way through WDW! We can't wait to do it again in September!!!:yay:

I hear it all the time how she looks like her daddy... even my family has to admit! :rotfl: Once in a while she'll make a face that "resembles" me, but for the most part, she's the spitting image of him! He loves it! Do I have to feed her every day?? I really shouldn't joke about that though! DD is tiny for her age and the drs. are having me feed her pediasure and monitoring her height and weight. She eats all the time, but is on the go constantly too. She's going to be small--I'm only 5'0", but now the drs. have me paranoid! :sad2:

Geez. Silly doctors. If you're 5' tall your baby isn't going to be 5'11 (more than likely). I hate when they say things like that and make ya worry. I love our pediatrician. He's a character himself. When I chose him the first thing I asked...Do you have kids? I wanted to make sure he was a father too because he was so young. Those who have children just seem better suited to me. I always hear how little DS is for his age. (He's really skinny and just average in height) and my other two are in the 95th percentile for height and regular weight. The baby wears a size 5! DS is in an 8! He could wear a 7 waist but he will soon need a 10 for length. I was the same way. Skinny as could be (but I was tall too). Made it even worse. I couldn't find clothes to fit. Point is kids grow at their own rate. Your DD looks perfectly healthy to me. So what if she's petite. She'll be pretty like her mommy. :goodvibes

Awww, thank you!! If she was heavy, they'd be saying the same crap! Drs. have a way of making me paranoid though! The first thing she said after the initial "concern" was "Now, I don't want you to think that we think you're doing anything wrong..." I was pretty much instantly holding back tears cause that hadn't crossed my mind at that point. I was worried about my baby and she threw that out there! ugh! :headache:

So, I've been changing my mind once again. I'm thinking of turning this 7 night trip into a 10 nigh trip. The cost isn't much difference, especially since we won't need parkhoppers if we're there for that long (any little bit helps when presenting the numbers to DH!) Anyways, right now we're booked for 7 nights. When I try to do 10 nights for our dates, it won't let me book our hotel. However, it will let me book the remaining three nights, so I'm "assuming" if I call, that the CM will be able to add the nights for me. If not, I'm also thinking about going when I had originally planned, about a month earlier. This means no F&W, but I'll deal! ;)We probably will not upgrade to DxDp if we do go 10 nights, but then again, it's really not THAT much more. It is actually cheaper to go 10 nights and not upgrade than 7 with the upgrade. Decisions, decisions... but right now I'm looking at going for 10 nights :woohoo: and possibly changing dates if needed!

I'm so excited! :cloud9:I just got off the phone booking 3 more nights, giving us 10 nights total! I've never gone on a vacation for 10 nights!! I haven't decided if we'll upgrade to DxDP for 10 nights (that's a lot of food :scared1:) but DH wants to, so we'll see! I must say that I'm actually happy that DH has given some input for this trip. I think he secretly loved Disney World more than he's letting on! :yay:

My DD's 2nd birthday is next Tuesday. I don't know where the past two years have gone! :sad1: Anyways, she's probably having three parties (that's what happens when you move away from all your family.) This weekend we'll be visiting some of DH's family in the Nashville area. They own a "school" and will be having a Spring Festival of some sort with pony rides, dunk tank, etc... DD should love this! Then we're going out to eat at a restaurant that is like the Coral Reef, with the aquarium all around you! I KNOW DD will love seeing all the "Nemos" while she is eating, if she can contain herself to eat! :rolleyes1 We'll have cake this weekend, and of course her party will be Finding Nemo themed! She loves her Nemo, although has been asking to watch Cindrella, TinkerBell or Mermaid lately (she's getting girly!! :yay:) Here's her birthday supplies that I got a pretty good deal on

Yeah, I decided to skip MNSSHP this year. DH wasn't crazy about the idea, and neither of my kids will really be old enough to appreciate it. I'm hoping to go to WDW next year around the same time, so we'll probably hit up the party then.

Is the Aquarium restaurant that you're eating at in Nashville at Opry Mills? I've always wanted to eat there, but just never have. I've heard the food's pretty good and the atmosphere is great!

I love the Nemo-themed party supplies! I'm about to start buying DS's MMC supplies for his party at the end of May. I can't believe he's turning 2 already! :sad1: The time sure has flown. That bike is too cute! You'll have to post a pic of your DD on it in her princess helmet and pads.

The restaurant is in Opry Mills! I've eaten there once, with my SIL and it was good! We shared a huge appetizer and each got a salad then shared a dessert-- a reeses brownie sundae thing :cloud9:! The food was really good and they had a sting ray (I think it was sting rays :confused3) area set up across from the restaurant. I can't want to take DD! I want to get some good pics to share too, since its similar to Coral Reef and can feed my Disney obsession for the weekend!:rotfl:

We took DS to the Sting Ray area there last summer! He rode the carousel and was really more interested in just splashing in the water than actually "petting" the sting rays, but it was a neat experience. I think my DH actually fed a sting ray while we were there. You guys will love it!

I totally would, but we added days to the end of our trip, not the beginning! We still won't get there until the 23rd... leaving the 3rd of Oct., but DH is wishy washy now. I've been trying to compile some lists for each park. So far, I only have DHS (semi) finished. I have us scheduled for 2 mornings here--not sure if one will be an EMH or not. Here's my list for DHS. Any suggestions with a 2 year old?

Must Do’s/See’s/Eats
RnRC (hopefully more than once)
TOT (my first time--DH won't ride this)
TSM (will be our first time)
GMR (great way to cool off)
Pics in front of the hat (a must do!)
a PB&J shake from Tune-In Lounge/50s PTC (I HAVE to have one, even if we dont' eat at 50s)
One Man’s Dream (I have to do this!!!)

Maybe Do’s/See’s/Eats
Playhouse Disney on Stage (how long is this show?)
Star Tours (is it worth it?--I think I did it in 1998)
Backlot Tour (I did this in 1998 too, when they had the Golden Girls house-haha- is it worth it now?)

Restaurants
Mama Melrose
Sci-Fi

Noticed you will be visiting the Nashville area this weekend - I live in the area. We always go to Rainforest Cafe at Opry Mills, but want to try the other restaurant with the fish.

Our DD loved Playhouse Disney at DHS when she was 2 - she is 3 now and we will do again this Nov. Also, she liked the Little Mermaid show and the Muppets 3-D show. We missed the Beauty and the Beast show, but hope to do it this year.

Hi! Do you know if the Rainforest Cafe at Opry Mills serves breakfast? More importantly, the Tonga Toast like at the Rainforest Cafe in FL?
Thanks for the suggestions! DD likes Mickey's Playhouse and Handy Manny, so hopefully she's be able to watch the Playhouse Disney show. She has (in the past couple of weeks) started liking Cinderella and "Mermaid" so I think we might try the Little Mermaid show too--DH may not like it! :rotfl2: I can't wait for the hours and show times! :rolleyes1 We did the Muppets show last year... I don't think they serve breakfast here but could be wrong and I didn't know they serve Tonga Toast at Rainforest at Disney. That is great to know. I have been wanting to try it so am trying to fit in a Kona Cafe breakfast, too.

Oh, forgot to answer your question about how long the Playhouse Disney show is - if I remember, it is only about 20 min's long. The kids sit/dance and such, and they have bubbles.

I didn't think they would serve breakfast, but I was hoping! I'm trying to get Kona and/or Rainforest Cafe too! I don't think the Tonga Toasts are exactly the same though. Here's the description from allears for the Rainforest Cafe:
"Baked cinnamon French toast with warm maple syrup topped with fresh strawberries, bananas and walnuts. Also available without nuts. $8.99"
They both sound good!

My DD will love that show I think! She loves bubbles and dancing! Thanks!

Sci Fi rocks! Love that place. I don't care for PHD since I went in during EMH that time. That was awful. Star Tours was pretty cool. If you don't remember it, go ahead and do it. It's not bouncy at all really....a lot of simulators can make ya sick. This one is for anyone. Backlot Tour....I have to do this again this time. I will say I liked the old tour so much better when they actually filmed there! I miss then houses and all. Kona is delicious but ask for a MAN to serve you. You sure don't want that dark headed lady I always get. She sucks!

Well, we didn't make it to Nashville this weekend. It just wasn't a nice weekend out--today is the first clear day we've had in what seems like forever. Tomorrow is my baby's 2nd birthday! I can't believe it--she's already 2 ! Where has the past two years gone? :sad1: Anyways, her "official" first Nemo party isn't until this weekend (which I still need to order a cake for!), but for tomorrow I ordered a small Cinderella (petite cake) from Wal-Mart. It looks really cute, and for $6, that's all that matters. :cutie: I despise Wal-Mart, but I do shop there. There's not many choices here in my town. :sad2: So, tomorrow I'll let her eat her cake and open some presents, saving her bike for the party this weekend. I did get her a Cinderella Dress Up Set that is two pieces rather than the dress. It'll be easier for her to dress herself with! Comes with shoes, purse, tiara... She's going to love it! I'm going to head back to the store to get her the Disney Bathtub Cinderella and Ariel dolls-- she loves bath toys!

As far as Disney Planning goes, I think I'd like to try miniature golf the first night, rather than DTD or the pool. We will have been in the car for so long that I will be tired, but DD will be ready to use up some energy. Anyone have any pictures of the miniature golf courses? Which one do you prefer? I'd also like to schedule a TS dinner for that night, and I was thinking of Cape May Clam Bake Buffet. This is pretty close to the Fantasia Gardens golfing, right? I'd rather do Winter Summerland though, as it looks cuter! :confused3 Decisions, decisions... My mind changes daily on what I'm even planning for this trip!

The mini golf sounds like a great idea! Yep... it rained all weekend here in Nashville. I can't wait to see sunshine:). The cinderella cake sounds cute and you can't beat that price. I hope her party goes well. Our DD just turned 3 and it all goes by sooooooo fast.

that's nice

DH has thrown a loop into my planning again. He doesn't want to upgrade to DxDP now. He's driving me crazy!:scared1:
Must Do’s/See’s/Eats
RnRC (hopefully more than once) My Favorite ride in Disney!
TOT (my first time--DH won't ride this) DW loves this... I don't love it :upsidedow
TSM (will be our first time) We loved it DD2(at the time sat in-between us) and she loved it too!!!!
GMR (great way to cool off) Never did it:rolleyes1 (turns my head in shame)
Pics in front of the hat (a must do!) YESYESYESYES
a PB&J shake from Tune-In Lounge/50s PTC (I HAVE to have one, even if we dont' eat at 50s)
One Man’s Dream (I have to do this!!!) Never did this either LOL

Maybe Do’s/See’s/Eats
Playhouse Disney on Stage (how long is this show?) The show isn't that long. My DD loves this show. Does your DD watch any of the playhouse disney shows???? I think that matters if they like it or not. But kids get up and dance to the music and there are bubbles in the show too.... which most kids love!!
Star Tours (is it worth it?--I think I did it in 1998) I like it DW gets sick from it. LOL I love star wars so it is a must do for me!
Backlot Tour (I did this in 1998 too, when they had the Golden Girls house-haha- is it worth it now?) Going to do this in March... It was closed the last 2 times we went

Restaurants
Mama Melrose
Sci-Fi

OK found your PTR!
It looks like you have a great vacation planned! I think if you didn't do the DDPX2 (or whatever its called LOL) and just did the regular one you would be fine. If there were any other meals you wanted, just pay OOP for them. You will probably save quite a bit of money this way!

I've been trying to compile some lists for each park. So far, I only have DHS (semi) finished. I have us scheduled for 2 mornings here--not sure if one will be an EMH or not. Here's my list for DHS. Any suggestions with a 2 year old?

Must Do’s/See’s/Eats
RnRC (hopefully more than once)
TOT (my first time--DH won't ride this)
TSM (will be our first time)

I would make sure to try and Playhouse Disney for your DD. I personally didn't think it was great, But DD loved this last year, along with the little mermaid.

It seems like you have alot of adult things planned, so you gottla be sure to do some more kid things in between too.
Other than that it wil lbe a great day.

also I have heard really bad reviews of Hollywood and vine. Now I hear breakfas is good, but nothing after that. I had it booked origionally for our trip this past March and canceled it becuase I couldn't find any good comments on it.
I would love to give Sci Fi a try sometime too though. :thumbsup2

I think your plans for DHS sound great, although I agree that you might want to throw some more kiddie stuff in. I just started reading The Unofficial Guide to WDW and it has sooo much information on stuff to do with kids at the World. It is GREAT! I highly recommend it! :thumbsup2

I think mini golf is a great idea for your first night there. I've never played at WDW, so I don't have any advice on which course to choose.

We have decided to skip MNSSHP this year. I would enjoy it, but I think I'd really be the only one, KWIM? We're going to go to DTD that night instead, I think. My DH is exactly the same way. I thought he was going to fall out in the floor when I told him the party tickets were extra!

I can't wait until it gets here so I can sign up on the website and add to my obsession and indecision! Having all the recommendations will definitely do that to me, but it'll be so worth it! Does anyone have any other book recommendations? There was one about "Disney with preschoolers" or something to that affect. I read Passporters too. I only had time to read about half of the UG. It's good, but it really talks about their touring plans alot and that part I didn;t like, becuase for us, they would never work. There is no way for us to make it there at rope drop. And we like EMH's which it says to avoid. So just keep things in mind when you read it. It has alot of great info, and you can enjoy yourself, even if you dont't follow thier plans.

Sorry I'm so late in my reply. Yes - my DD is very into the princesses. She loves to dress up so. She is finally old enough for BBB so that is what I am most excited about for our upcoming trip. I can't believe they didn't have the cinderella cake. I would have been mad, too.
Hey! I would love to take DD to BBB, but she won't be old enough yet. Besides, she doesn't have much hair to work with either! :lmao: I was so upset about the cake--she would have loved it. The Nemo cake was enough for her though! She loves her Nemo!

I could be wrong, but I think she canceled her trip.
