Hi Everybody! We just returned from our week long stay at the Polynesian (Hubby, Myself, and kids 5 & 2).
The Polynesian is absolutely Beautiful. The whole ambiance of this Resort is incredible. The grounds are gorgeous with the Tropical plants and flowers. The Hawaiian music is nice. The pool they have is great. What can I say, this Resort is all I'd heard it was and more! The Polynesian just gained another family of 4 as returning guests for more Disney trips to come.

Staying Concierge is great. We have never done this before and there is nothing wrong with being pampered a little on vacation, right? I love the fact you could go and get bottled water, soda and snacks anytime you want. We are big water drinkers and between my whole family, think we might have had 20 bottles (at least) a day. My kids loved the treats (gummy worms and M&M's) they had out all day. They had a great variety for breakfast and also in the evening. One evening they had individually wrapped crustless peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for the kids and they LOVED those. Every night they had a different theme and also had cheese cubes, fresh fruit, fresh veggies and dip and other stuff.

The staff here was incredibly nice and extremely helpful. Our first night there, they sent up to our room a bottle of sparkling wine, a beautiful rose, a plate of chocolates, a white chocolate Mickey and Minnie and a certificate congratulating us on our 6 year Anniversary.

Needless to say, it was awesome and very sad to leave. However, Hubby liked it so much, says we can go back in 2004.

Any questions?

Congrats, sounds fun. Polynesian is my favorite resort! Did you ever use the view of the castle from the lounge during fireworks? It is spectacular! :)

Our first WDW stay was the Poly concierge. Now in spite of the fact that we are DVC owners, we find reasons to spend time there--last December a great rate, two nights in July to save DVC weekend points, next year we'll probably use all our points on a 4 night cruise so we'll have to pay cash for a room for 3 nights, gee, where should we go?:D

We will be there Saturday! Woo hoo!
Boy, a complimentary upgrade to lagoon concierge for all 4 rooms in our party would be nice.

We'll be there Saturday too. We are staying LG Concierge. I can't wait. It will be our first trip.

We are driving straight from Cincinnati. Is it about a 16 hour drive?

OhioVol--when I drove (as a young adult prior to being married) to Daytona, the fastest we made it was 17 hours from Greenville, Ohio (just northwest of Dayton). We'll be flying Toledo/CVG/MCO on Friday.

I do not have lime green ribbons though--bummer. With two different DIS members in the same building--we'd be bound to run into one another.

We are 4, in our 40s with a 14 y/o son and 11 y/o daughter. We're up and at 'em early and back late! We'll be eating in concierge for breakfast and evening meals this time--trying it that way for a change with all PS at lunch. We did this, for the most part, last year and it was great. Very relaxing.

Have a safe trip down!
