Hi all , I am a dlp virgin and are taking our 1st trip on 30th aug for 4nights staying at the newport bay . My children will be 6 and 5 when we go but are both small eaters ( a mcd's kids meal is too much for them , they usually share one ) ....so my question is if it is acceptable in the dlp restaurants for kids to share a meal or to share a adults meal ?? also do you think it would be worth me pre-buying the HB vouchers ( i think the cost is about £10 per child per meal if I book the plus option or £13 if I book premium ) or am i throwing money away....... can i use just one child voucher and them share that meal or will I still have to redeem both vouchers ??? It isnt the cost that bothers me ( we have budgeted for buying premium vouchers ) but I just think it may be a lot of money to waste !! Any tips greatly appreciated ( also any advice about the NBC ) Thank you all x :cool1:

I don't have any knowledge of whether children can share meals at the restaurants at DLRP, sorry. Hopefully someone else here will be able to advise you more about that :).
The NBC is a beautiful and very large hotel, all I'd suggest is, if you don't want to possibly be trekking for a loooong time between your room and the entrance to the hotel, calling the hotel a couple of weeks before you go, and asking for a room in or near the main wing.

At table service restaurants you would be fine with children sharing. Whereas a buffet restaurants you would be charged per child :)
I wouldn't go for the vouchers, if I were you. We recently went to the parks with two small eaters as well (aged 3 and 5). I had been advised on a Disney forum that it was possible to use one voucher for both children, but I couldn't ever bring myself to do this - it just didn't feel natural in the situation. Plus if you use a voucher, you will still generally be served 3 courses for the kids, and my children generally only ate their main course (part of it, that is).
If I were going back tomorrow, I wouldn't get vouchers, and would only order main courses for my children at the restaurants, if I could. It looked like most of the restaurants just did kids' meals, but if I couldn't avoid that, I'd just order a regular main course for them to share. They're small eaters, but not picky!
The best kids meal for my two was at Cafe Mickey, where they had a Mickey Mouse pizza (which was quite small), and where there was a dessert buffet. They only ended up eating candy, but they were happy.
I figure we'll buy vouchers again when the children are older.

hiya, i wouldnt get voutchers either my 2 shared their meals, my 3yr who normaly eats for ireland had trouble finnishing her meals and they never had dessert too full i ended up eating the ice cream that came with the kids meals. i usually just hav a main myself. so didnt think they were worth it.
maybe if you would eat 3 cources they would work out better, you could still order 1 kids meal, and use you remaining voutcherr 2wards lunch instead.
