Polygonatum-Also called Solomon's Seal.

While I love annuals but perennials seem to be my favorite and I adore the woodland flowers. They are not the most showiest, they have a tendency to be simple in style and color, but they have a beauy that no other flower has.

Solomon's Seal likes semi-shade a soil rich in humus, with cool and moist conditions. Depending on the variety they grow to heights of 12-48 inches.

They look best planted in an informal corner. I find them to be very restful sight with their arching stems and tiny flowers hanging from the stem. They have a powerful fragrance and are a reliable plant that will flower year after year.
