Not that i'm over organised or anything but i rang and made all of our dining reservations yesterday. I think the CM was slightly surprised by how many i made but i was so happy to get it all done.

The only restaurant we had to change the time we wanted was Walts, i wanted 4pm window est preferred to be ready for the parade but the atest she could give me was 3.45 which is still fine. Not sure if Walts is shutting early or if this was just the last slot she had available. Although this seems doubtfull unless everyone is as organised as me!

I've booked Walts for Wednesday 27th May, I wanted dinner before the park closes but was also told it was only open for lunch. I too was given a 3.45 booking and have made a request for a window seat:thumbsup2 really hope we get it, going to get there ten mins early:thumbsup2

I called today, for early June reservations, and the man did not want to take reservations, so I gave up.

He said the "landscape would change," between now and then, so to call back a few days before.

I can't imagine trying to make 10 like I want to. I think they would really get made, I succeeded in making none. :)

You have to call the French number correct, no UK office can taking dining reservations?

What is a good way to greet them in French, so I don't get off on a bad foot?

Hi,

Yes you have to ring the french number, no-one in England can make your dining reservations for you. However when you ring you get a fRench voice saying if you are French press 1, then an English voice saying if you are English press 2. I pressed 2 and was greeted by a woman talking in French! I simply said Hello, i am ringing to book my restaurants for my holiday in June. There was no problems and i booked resaturants from 14th-18th June no problem.

Well, that was my same story too. I also pushed English. I just had a different outcome, since "the landscape may change," before June. :)

Glad to hear I did it right up until that point.

Ok, today I was able to do it. They still answer in French, but the woman was very nice and told me all the available time ranges. I suspect they have more working earlier in the day, so I tried to call earlier, since by the time I wake up, the day almost over there.

I made three. I'll need to make some more before I go, but at least I have a start!

It feels good, to get some booked, like we're making progress on the trip.

When I just booked my holiday an hour ago for July, the CM said I could book my restaurants already, and did I want her to put me through. I told her I thought I could only do it within 60 days, but she said no, the restaurants were available for booking already. I wasn't ready to book yet though.

However, it got me thinking - as I called the booking number 08448 008 111 - I will probably call this number when I am ready to place the reservations, and get them to transfer me, as I bet the phone call will be cheaper than dialling France.

Oh very nice!!
I think I will book them in advance but I haven't made my mind yet!!
This is my plan so far
1st day: Anettes dinner (no vouchers, we will pay what we will eat)
2nd day - Randez vous de Stars lunch (if it is a buffet)
3rd day- Walts lunch on 1st floor-window tableor dinner at La Grange at Billy Bob's
4th day Cafe Mickey dinner - eat n great
Here (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2136687)are my thoughts for where to book
