View Full Version : Sam's MAW Pre Trip Report

04-19-2009, 10:42 PM
This is a pre-trip report for our June 22-28 trip to WDW.
Let me introduce my family.
Dad (Eric)
Me (Mary Anne)
DD #1 (Rachael-15)
DD#2 (Emily-11)
DD#3 (Sarah-10)
Wish Kid (Samuel--we call him Sam-8)

Sam was a very healthy child and developmentally on track until he was 4 1/2. That is when he had his first seizure. After many tests, we were sent home and told it would probably never happen again. Two days later he had another tonic clonic seizure. Within a week, he was having 60-80 myoclonic seizures a day and up to 12 tonic clonic seizures a day. Our life was turned upside down, to put it mildly. Sam has been on multiple anti seizure medications, steroids, ketogenic diet, all with no success. He has been diagnosed with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome. It has been devastating for our family. Our life has been dictated by whether or not Sam is seizing at the moment. We haven't planned anything since the seizures started. We live one minute at a time.
That is one reason we are so excited for this trip. It is something we can all look forward to. We used to live about 3 hours from Orlando, so we have done day trips to Disney, but it has always been spur of the moment, so we have never had a "game plan", which I think takes away from it a lot.
I look forward to sharing our story with you.
I have really enjoyed everyone's posts and I am so excited about all the things I have learned. It is going to be a magical vacation!

I am so glad you started a pre-trip report. I am sorry to hear about your son. I know how scary seizures can be. My son started having them at 6 months. At the time we had to have an EEG done and we had to sedate him to do it. After meeting with the neurologist he determined that it was not affecting his brain. We later determined that he was allergic to his DPT shots. I could not imagine what it would be like to have 60 in a day. I can't wait to hear more about the trip you are planning! Congratulations on receiving a Wish! :wizard:

joining your pre trip report!!! So Sorry about Sam's seizures, that must be so scary!
Can't wait to hear all about your exciting Disney Plans:yay:

I am subbing in!! I have also linked this in the Wish Trippers thread...so some of them should be stopping by soon!! :)

Hugs to you for all you guys have been through. Hopefully we can help you plan this magical trip!

You get in the day after we leave! Love to see how close it is getting! Hope you have a great time!

04-24-2009, 02:18 PM
LaVista! Wow, you're lucky as you may be getting a baseball field put in near by! Or am I wrong on that one? Or is that Bellevue? Whichever, one of you is lucky, although, we really don't need another ball field.

You are going to have a great time!! I hope that I left some good advice? Remember, if you're doing 2 parks in one day, park your car at the park where you will end up, not begin at. It's an extra bus ride, but it's better than walking another mile to your car.

Thats awesome that Sam is getting his wish! Him and the siblings must be getting so excited! What have you done to prepare? Have you met with your MAW volunteers? We had Natalie and Joy. Come to think of it, I haven't heard from them. I need my pictures developed!:woohoo:

Keep us posted on your planning!

Oh, he is so cute!!

Handome, I mean, handsome! (Is he too old to be called cute anymore? :))

And he can color so well! :goodvibes

I am excited for your trip! :thumbsup2

aw....Sam is such a good looking kid! Thanks for sharing the picture! It's always nice to see who it is that we are hearing about!

Hi, great start to your PTR, signing up for more. I can't wait to hear more about your plans. :)

06-07-2009, 07:27 AM
Thanks for stopping by Mikaela's PTR. Hopefully that darned seizure monster stays away from Orlando and lets Sam and your entire family have to not worry about them. Mikaela's mostly happen at night as she going into and coming out of sleep. But they do peak in when she gets overly tired so I'll need to be conscious of making sure she gets some rest time if she needs it in the middle of the day.

How exciting that your trip is coming up so quickly! Can't wait to hear (and see) more about how much fun you had!!!

Fantastic! :thumbsup2

Well, I guess perfect is a strong word:lmao: Very close to perfect, though! Most things that I would change had mostly to do with time constraints. 5 days is just not enough to get everything done! An excuse to go back, I guess:banana: Even my husband (who was not looking forward to this trip) asked how much we would need to save up to come back:cheer2:I am uploading photos as we speak, hopefully to start TR tomorrow!

The big day is finally here! The limo is supposed to arrive at 4:00, but he is 10 minutes early, so we are heading out the door at 3:50 AM!!! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Day1/IMG_0444.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Day1/IMG_0445.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Day1/IMG_0446.jpg
When we arrived at the airport the American Airlines staff was so friendly, they helped us with everything! When we got to the gate there was a MAW sign and balloons...I was so tired and out of it we didn't even take a picture:eek:
When we got on the plane, they took Sam into the cockpit. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Day1/IMG_0448.jpg

We arrived in Orlando, a very uneventful trip so far. We found our greeter and went to baggage claim. We waited...and waited...and waited....our luggage was not there! :scared1: We went to the AA office and I guess our luggage went on an earlier flight than we did. Luckily, everything was there for us. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Day1/IMG_0454.jpg
This is our first of many scenic routes of Orlando. First I should say we are all exhausted and extremely hungry at this point. Okay, 30-45 minutes until the Village? We can wait. Well, my husband decided to use the map on his new phone instead of the clear directions that GKTW had given us  It took us over an hour to get there, but we did avoid a toll booth, so we saved 75 cents! He was quite proud of that :rotfl: Wechecked in and Sam got a Mickey Mouse and the girls got killer whale stuffed animals. Our villa wasn't ready, so we headed to Katie's Kitchen for dinner. We were so hungry, but they give you SO much food, at the end we were stuffed! We had our dinner and some ice cream, of course! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Day1/IMG_0457.jpg

After we ate, we went to see if our villa was ready

Sam loved this one, you hit the ball into his tail and it comes out his mouth! I think he played this hole about 10 times! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Day1/IMG_0510.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Day1/IMG_0511.jpg

Inside the Castle of Miracles for a view of the stars! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Day1/IMG_0526.jpg
Time for bed! We didn't have to beg anyone to go to sleep tonight!

06-30-2009, 11:28 AM
We slept well last night. There were some thunderstorms and strong rain and a rainshower in the morning, but by the time we were up and ready, the rain was gone. We started our morning with breakfast at the Gingerbread House. On the way, we heard that Dora was in the castle, so we made a quick stop to say hello to her. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0529.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0530.jpg
After breakfast we were off to Hollywood Studios! We got good use of Sam's button with the Character greets. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0535.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0536.jpg
I loved Buzz here...Sam kept pushing his buttons and he would do different things...in this picture, Sam found his power button and turned Buzz "off" http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0546.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0549.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0550.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0555.jpg

Next was probably the most awesome moment of the whole trip. We headed over to Star Wars for the Jedi Training Show. I asked the CM if there was any way that Sam could get chosen, he told us where to stand and when the show started, Sam was picked. He was so excited! After the show the Jedi Master (or whatever he is called, sorry, I am not a Star Wars fan, but the rest of my family loves it) told us to stand by the green umbrella. After the show he came out with a light saber signed by Darth Vader and a Tooth Tunes toothbrush that played the Star Wars theme. He was so nice to Sam. Sam thought it was the coolest thing, ever! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0568.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0569.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0571.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0576.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0578.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0593.jpg
Rachael in front of Snow White... http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0597.jpg
It was starting to rain, so we went inside the Animation Building and hit the character jackpot! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0601.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0605.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0606.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0610.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0613.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0614.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0615.jpg

06-30-2009, 11:43 AM
He loved the Incredibles!
http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0618.jpg http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Hollywood%20Studios/IMG_0619.jpg
It was still raining when we got finished with the characters, so we put on our ponchos and headed over the Toy Story Mania ride, which was one of our favorites! When we came out the rain was gone!
We rode a few more rides. We really loved Hollywood Studios!
We wanted to stay for Fantasmic, but I knew that tomorrow was going to be a LONG day and didn't want to push my luck. So we headed back to the Villa for a good nights sleep.

06-30-2009, 12:23 PM
The kids were bummed, when we got back to the villa, they hadn't left any goodies for them, but we had such a great day, it was quickly forgotten. They were just looking forward to another surprise!
We ended the evening with ice cream, of course :)

06-30-2009, 12:33 PM
Great start!!

I personally LOVE the big pictures.

The picture you got of the stars was one of the best I have ever seen. I did not notice the stars on the middle of the ceiling before?

I love your attitude..."It started raining and we went inside the Animation Studios and Jackpot!" Awesome! You guys made the best of the weather and it looks like you had a great time!

I am so glad he got picked for the Jedi Training Academy! I am so glad you asked.

The other kids just don't have a chance against a Wish Kid! :thumbsup2

I love it!

Great start! Can't wait to see MORE and please include LOTS of pictures! :) We love pics. :)

Awesome start!

Today was the longest day of our trip. I knew I wanted to stick around MK for Wishes.
We had breakfast delivered to the villa, then we went to the castle to make our pillows and send Sam's star. When we got to the castle, someone came out of the spa and asked if the kids wanted to come in. So they went inside for tattoos and manicures.

06-30-2009, 01:19 PM
I just loved the way they sent the star fairy off with Sam's star. So cute!http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0655.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0657.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0658.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0659.jpg
No trip to the castle would be complete without a ride on the carousel... http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0662.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0663.jpg

Eric took this picture...I don't think he realized that he cut so much of Sam out of the picture :lmao: It was a good pic of the girls, though, so I included it! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0689.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0691.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0692.jpg
Sam LOVED the roller coasters! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0696.jpg
We went to visit the fairies and princesses. Both had lines of 75 min and 90 min waits!!!!! I would have never waited that long, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes. Sam is a ladies man, so I thought he would like to see them since it was such a short wait. He was more interested in the gift shop, so we had to bribe him to smile :rotfl2: These are among the last of the character greets as I realized Sam really didn't care and I was doing it all for ME. Plus, the family was getting irritated with me stopping every few minutes. I do regret that I didn't force them to go get a family picture with Mickey Mouse! Oh well... They did turn out good. The photopass ones are even better! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0698.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0700.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0703.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0704.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0707.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0709.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0711.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0715.jpg

06-30-2009, 01:43 PM
Time for Dumbo!! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0716.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0718.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0719.jpg
While Sam and Sarah were on Aladdin's Magic Carpet, Rachael said she wants to go get the pineapple drink that she read about in her book. I tell her to get one for me, too. We lost each other for a few minutes when we found each other, she had a cup of pineapple liquid, it had completely melted! No worries, I still had my Dole Whip to look forward to (so I thought) This is where the Dole Whip saga begins...more to come!
We went to ride Pirates and did some shopping in the gift shop. Here is a picture of Sam hanging onto his bag for dear life! He was so tired! I was glad he got a nap in. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0742.jpg We headed over to the castle because we had ridden everything we wanted to.http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0731.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0732.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0737.jpg
We noticed people were starting to line up for the night time parade. We decided to go ahead and grab a spot, right in front of the castle. I was bummed because we hadn't been to the Make A Wish lounge. I wasn't sure if it was worth everyone coming, so I went to check it out by myself. Good thing, too. I didn't realize it closed at 4:00! Luckily there was a nice CM who let me in to take a look around. At least I got to see it. I went back to where they were sitting and took Emily and Sarah to the gift shop since they hadn't bought anything. I brought them back and Rachael and I went to the gift shop and to get some hot dogs for everyone. Eric called me and told me to hurry back because people were just pushing into our space. We got back there and squeezed in to wait for the parade. We enjoyed getting a little food in our tummies and the kids had fun with the glow sticks I bought--thank you Target! The parade started. I couldn't believe how awesome our spots were! We were right there! It was so cool! Peter Pan stopped and asked Sam if he wanted to be an "honorary lost boy". Sam was so happy! We looked for Peter earlier, but couldn't find him and Sam really wanted to meet him. We loved the parade! Then by far, my favorite Disney experience--WISHES! I love fireworks and these were the best I had ever seen!! I loved this! It was awesome! We decided to not fight the crowd, we went the other way and let the kids ride Big Thunder Railroad one more time. We didn't realize there was another parade, so I was worried we just traded one crowd for another. But we left during the parade and we just went right through the pathways behind the crowd. We walked right out of the park and onto the ferry. It couldn't have gone any smoother!
We were exhausted, but we had a fabulous day!!http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Magic%20Kingdom/IMG_0745.jpg

I love your TR so far. I wish we could have met up at some point. It looks like you had alot of really magical moments. Wasn't the Jedi training so cool. My dd decided that when we go back she also wants to do it. I tried to talk her into while we were there with my DS but I think it kinda scared her a little.

I didn't realize they had a meet and greet for Peter Pan. My kiddos would have loved to meet him because they play Peter and Wendy all of the time. I will have to check into that on our return trip also.

Thanks for the TR. For some reason I am unable to see any of your pics. It is just a big square with a little red x in the corner. Anyone know how to fix this????? I would love to see your photos.

Can't wait to read more! Do you have the Disney blues also?

06-30-2009, 05:04 PM
Hmmm....I wonder if anyone else has problems seeing the pics??

Yes, I have the Disney blues--big time! I can't seem to get anything done. Luggage is still scattered all over the house waiting to be emptied. I should be fixing dinner, wish I could just run to Katie's Kitchen!

Today we went to Universal. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0747.jpg This is where we saw the best and worst guest services of the trip. To be fair, I did have high expectations for Universal from all the recent TRs :rolleyes1 We had breakfast ressies with Spiderman and Dr. Seuss Characters. We showed up at Universal about 10 minutes early to find out the restaurant was at IOA:scared1: Luckily, we were able to get over there in time. This was the biggest disappointment of the entire trip. The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 & Thing 2 came over right away. The interaction with them was good. They didn't talk, so there is only so much that you can interact...The big letdown was Spiderman. We watched him go through every table at our time slot and then through the second sitting, too. He was joking around, asking where people were from, sneaking up on people, etc. We were done eating, had already paid and were sitting waiting for him to come to us. We saw many families come and go and we were just sitting there. Then when he got to us, there was about 10 seconds of interaction, then he got into a pose to take a couple pictures then he took off. I was so upset! I think I let it ruin my day, unfortunately. I am sure I was just in a grumpy mood after that:mad: Here are some of the pictures of the breakfast. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0750.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0752.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0754.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0755.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0760.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0762.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0764.jpg
Sam did try the green eggs and ham, but he wasn't a fan :lmao: He decided he wouldn't eat them in a boat OR with a goat! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0766.jpg
Here he is waiting for Spiderman.. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0771.jpg
He did finally show up:woohoo:http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0774.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0776.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0777.jpg

Next we headed to Seuss Landing, which was cool. Our family loves Dr. Seuss! We didn't see any other characters here which was kind of a bummer, but we enjoyed all of the decorations. Almost every ride asked us if we wanted to ride a second time. The staff was very friendly here. We did have to kind of hurry today because we wanted to do both parks and then be back to the Village in time for the Christmas party. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0778.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0779.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0780.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0781.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0782.jpg
Then we went to a few other rides, I really enjoyed looking at all of the things along the way. I really like all the buildings and the way they are decorated. We liked the Jurassic Park Ride! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0792.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0795.jpg
We rode a couple water rides at IOA and I got SOAKED! While the girls went on the Hulk, Sam and I saw some of the superheroes, so we walked over to see them. I had a much harder time with Characters here because I didn't see any other employees with them. I couldn't just cut in front of people, so we waited for Captain America and X-Men Wolverine. We didn't wait long, but we did wait our turn. Wolverine motioned me over after he talked to Sam and told me that I should never wait in line. He was super nice! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/photo11.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/photo12.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/photo13.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/photo10.jpg
Next we went to the Hard Rock Cafe and got our 50% off merchandise and Sam got a free pin. The girl at the store was so sweet to Sam :)
We headed on over to Universal. I guess we missed a lot of this park...I don't even remember seeing the Curious George section or the E.T. ride.
We did see Shaggy and Scooby as they were driving away. Sam and I were walking over to them, but when I saw they were leaving, I was explaining to Sam that we missed them. Shaggy stopped the Mystery Machine just for Sam! He let Sam sit in the van and pretend to drive. It was a very short interaction, but special just the same! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0797.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0798.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0800.jpg

I am not able to see any TR pics until Post #28. There is a photobucket box that says that the picture was been deleted or moved. When the pics start up again (at least on my computer) you have to scroll completly to the right to read and see the pics. Don't want to complain, but it is really hard on the eyes.:sad1:

I am loving your TR, can't wait to read more.

We headed to the Simpson's ride. Everyone loved it...except for me...motion sickness kicked in:sad2: Nothing horrible, just made me very queazy! After a couple minutes sitting still, I was fine. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0803.jpg
Sam thought this was cool. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0804.jpg
We walked up just as they were letting people in to see Shrek 4D. We went right in and watched the show. When we came out, Shrek and Donkey were out so we ran over and met them. Donkey is interactive, so he talks to you and answers questions, that was pretty funny! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0806.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0807.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0808.jpg
We were running past the big Universal globe in the morning, so we stopped on the way out for a picture. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Universal/IMG_0811.jpg
Now it is back to the Village for the Christmas Party!

06-30-2009, 10:46 PM
We went back early for the Christmas Party. Eric stayed in the villa because he was tired and getting cranky  The kids and I headed over. We stopped to see Santa first because I heard that the line gets long...and it does. Thanks for whoever mentioned to go see him early! Santa was so funny! Sam picked a Disney Sorry game and the girls all picked travel Lite Brites. Then we went to eat dinner at the Gingerbread House--YUMMY! We saw Mrs. Claus there, what a sweet lady! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/IMG_0812.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/IMG_0816.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/IMG_0817.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/IMG_0818.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/IMG_0819.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/IMG_0820.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/IMG_0821.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/IMG_0822.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/MrsClaus25.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/Santa10.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/Santa11.jpg
Here are a couple pictures of the village at night. We liked the light shining on the sidewalk. http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/photo4.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/photo1.jpg
Here are the kids "pretending" to sleep. Poor Sam thought that Santa was coming tonight, too! We had to explain that there was only one "Christmas morning" a year! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/photo6.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/photo8.jpghttp://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq276/merneric/Christmas%20Party/photo9.jpg

Sam was trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue!
What a magical night!
Tomorrow it is Animal Kingdom and Epcot!

Thanks for sticking around anyway, hopefully I can get this fixed!

I am at work right now and the pictures before Post #28 are back. Yeah!!!! I really do love pics.

As for the scrolling to the left problem, I try to give each picture it's own line our if I make them smaller I will do two or three on one line. I would definatly push enter after you write some text and before you add the pics. It will put the pic under the text and you wont have to scroll all the way to the right to see it. Hope this helps, and don't worry, I'm sticking with you. The TR is great and I am loving the Pics!!!!!

Today we had to do Animal Kingdom and Epcot. I remembered someone's suggestion of parking where your day is going to end-Thank You! We parked at Epcot and took the bus over to AK. The sky was beginning to look very dark on the ride over. As soon as we got off the bus, the sky opened up. It was raining SO hard! We threw on our ponchos and headed over to the Safari ride. It still runs in the rain, so we went onto the ride. By the time we were done, the rain was gone and it was a beautiful day. I guess the animals like when it rains, so we saw tons of animals. Even the lion was up walking around, the tour guide said she never sees that!

After the ride, we saw the Tree of Life, I think this is so cool!

Sarah is our budding artist and the big thing she wanted to do this trip was to get a caricature. We found a guy in the dino section. It was so cool to see one being drawn. I can't believe someone could do this in 10 minutes!

Here are the kids in the dinosaur section

We are leaving AK, no one would stop for a picture, but I took one anyway.

We now head over to Epcot. Everyone is really tired by now, but we know we have a few things we want to get done. First stop is the Siemens lounge. That place was really cool. The kids thought that we were really something getting a VIP pass. I was glad we did it. They had the nicest bathrooms there, we stayed there for a little bit and then they take you to a backdoor entrance of Spaceship Earth. I am so glad we went on this, it sounded kinda boring to me and it was not on my "to do" list, but it is a really cool ride!
Here are some pictures of Sam playing with the Magic Mirror.

Sam, Eric and I decided to wait while the girls rode Mission Space.

We went to the Nemo section the ride was cute and went to Turtle Talk with Crush. What a funny show :lmao:

The only thing left to do (so I thought was get a Dole Whip) I thought that they were in Epcot at the World Showcase. I looked it up on my phone to find out they were at the MK!!!! I was looking so forward to that and I missed it!!! :scared1: It turns out that the pineapple soup that Rachael brought me was a Dole Whip and I didn't even get to enjoy it!!! Oh well, I decided I would live.
I was pretty disappointed, everyone wanted to leave and I really wanted to stay for the fireworks. So we headed to the village. Here are a couple pics that we snapped on the way out.

Your trip report is great so far! I love that the kids are having fun and you can tell by the smiles in their photos! :wizard:

On the way back to the village, we decided that Rachael and I would go back to Epcot so that I could see the fireworks  So we dropped everyone off at home and Rachael and I headed back to the parks. I did notice that MK was open late that night, so I came up with this crazy idea:idea:We parked at MK and took the monorail to Epcot. We went right in and got an awesome spot for the fireworks! Then we took the monorail to MK--just to get a Dole Whip! The awesome thing was, we got there right as Wishes started, so I got to see Wishes again!!:cool1: The bad thing was, we were showing up right after wishes, so we were heading one direction, a million other people were heading the other! :scared1: We finally got over the bridge and to the Dole Whip counter. I tell you it was worth the extra hassle!! We decided to head back to the monorail to head home. The line for the monorail was LONG! But with only two people, we squeezed in here and there and the wait wasn't too bad.
The worst part is that I got a text from Eric saying to call him right away!! Sam had a bad seizure and according to Eric he had "thrown up everywhere". Eric was panicking because I always take care of this stuff and I was panicking because I knew how panicked Eric gets...Anyway, there was nothing I could do, but get home when I could. I guess he got everything taken care of and he sent me a couple really sweet texts about how he doesn't know how I deal with this stuff everyday, so then I started to relax and realize that it is good for him to have to handle a crisis once in a while:laughing: When I got home and realized that the only thing that got dirty from this "throwing up everywhere" was Sam's pillowcase, I realized that I got the exaggerated story:rotfl: Now if he had to change all of the bedding that is something different! Well, Eric thinks he is the hero of the night, so I will let him go on thinking that :lmao:
Here are a couple pics of Rachael and our night time adventure!

Your TR is awesome!

I never saw the picture problem, but evidently you fixed it.

Your pictures are awesome. I have seen several that I have never seen before! Especially Christmas and the lounge! Awesome!

I am sorry Sam had a big seizure. But I am glad Erik was able to help him! Sometimes it is good to let others help with stuff like that. Helps them appreciate what goes on day in and day out, huh.

And certainly this has not been a wasted day or days! This is a GREAT TR!

I love all of the pictures! It is awesome.

Keep it coming. :)

The night time adventure sounds great. I am able to see your pics now so maybe it was something on my end??????
They are wonderful pics. How awesome that you were able to get some girls time alone and have your DH take on a crises. My DH is the same way, he won't do anything with DD's care. I think he is scared of doing something wrong but don't know for sure because he avoids the issue.

Love your TR.
