The Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique opened in April 2009, and is located in Fantasyland.

This is the view of the shop as you look at it from the castle.

As you enter Fantasyland, it is on the left side across from Peter Pan, and next to Snow White.

At the entrance to the boutique Fairy Godmothers in Training greet guests as they pass by, and will sprinkle you with pixie dust if you wish.

I was dusted by this young maiden as I was about to pass by. The ladies are extremely friendly and accommodating.

There are two entrances to the boutique. The sign is over the main entrance.

The Boutique is charmingly decorated as a cottage, and the detail to the decorations is really enchanting.

The theme is Cinderella, and you will see touches throughout the castle of the little characters, as well as other touches. The attention to detail is just wonderful.

Take a look at Cinderella's dress above, and you may see some evidence that this boutique is no ordinary shop, but quite magical in Disney's way.

In the shop you will see samples of the beautiful princess dresses available.

Wall of princess hats, and princess ears. There were so many things to choose from, but at the same time, the shop is so well-laid out that it is not overwhelming. There were quite a few happy little girls shopping, and some happier girls getting make-overs.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da38b3127ccec6b2ea765f2600000040O00EasmLJszbMg e3nwg/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

Here girls can choose what they want to go into their hair.

There is even a section for Tink.

Even young knights will find something here. As I walked past, I saw a young man brandishing a sword. He saw me watching him, and sheepishly put the sword back. I laughed & told him my 20-year old son would be doing the same thing.

The boutique sits at the back of the shop where Fairy Godmothers in training are waiting to transform little girls into princesses for the day. There are also Disney photographers to capture the moments. Parents are also welcome.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da38b3127ccec6b33661fe2300000040O00EasmLJszbMg e3nwg/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

Each person will have one to two Fairy Godmothers in Training (FGiT) to dress and pamper them. This view is looking toward the front. The shop is on the other side of the wall.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da38b3127ccec6b296e9deb700000040O00EasmLJszbMg e3nwg/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

Lindsey was kind enough to let me take a picture of her. The birds on the drapes are not just decorations. They are holding the curtains closed.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da38b3127ccec6b2a3121ffe00000040O00EasmLJszbMg e3nwg/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

Here a young lady has just been made up. With a twinkling sound, the birds open the drapes, revealing a mirror to view the handiwork. I thought this was such a nice touch.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da38b3127ccec6b2df099eeb00000040O00EasmLJszbMg e3nwg/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

I received permission from this little princess's mother to take her picture. She was a little shy at first. The young FGMiT is the one who did her makeover. She got the complete package, from the top of her head to the tips of her shoes.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da38b3127ccec6b3cae27fee00000040O00EasmLJszbMg e3nwg/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

Look at that smile. She was so adorable in her little outfit.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da38b3127ccec6b3838fbe0f00000040O00EasmLJszbMg e3nwg/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

The detail to the makeover is subtle, and the young princesses look enchanting when they're done.

I pulled these off of another thread. Great description and pictures.

We went yesterday (Friday the 17th) which was the first "official" day of opening though they'd done some hairstyles the week prior, I'm told.

We had an appt for my 5 yr old daughter. Grandparents paid for the 'big' package (the one with the dress and photos) (only grandchild).

I have to say that the Fairy Godmothers in Training (CM's) did an absolutely fabulous job. They all played the part perfectly. My DD was in "stun" mode, I think... in awe.

She got to pick out her dress (Aurora's pink dress). Then she got to pick one of the 3 hairstyles they do... I think the one she chose was "Princess Diva". Her hair was put in a bun and she got to pick the colour of hairpiece to add to it (she picked pink to match the dress). While one Godmother did her hair, the other painted her nails (a very pale pink) and did her makeup (very pale colours and probably only noticeable to my DD... not 'scary' at all).

DD got to pick a stick-on jewel for her cheek and got to pick a ring as well. When all was done, she got to go for a photo shoot in the room in the back. It's a well set-up studio with a carriage as well as a grassy area with the woodland animals.

The entire time, my DD was called "Princess" (DH and I were King and Queen)... taught how to wave 'properly' (so cute!), asked about what "Kingdom" she was from, etc. I have nothing but the highest of compliments to pay to those CM's.

The boutique itself is so pretty too... the floors you may have seen in other features but they look like wood with flowers blooming through the cracks. The light fixtures are also fantastic... I hope I took a pic of those, but I haven't checked the memory card yet.

We went to Ariel's Grotto for breakfast afterward and I'm sure this day was the highlight of our trip.

Oh yes, also special was the attention paid by the occasional CM throughout the parks... from the random CM who would just wave while walking by and say "good morning princess" to the security guard at the DLH who bowed and held open the door telling her that her castle was 'secured'... :-)

Forgot to mention... DD also got a cinch bag that included the makeup, nailpolish and hairbrush.

Please feel free to ask me any questions if you've got 'em!

I went before BBB was officially open, but the store half was, so I took only a few pics. The store part was like Once Upon A Time princess shoppe w/ princess dresses, but instead of taking pics of the merch, I took it of the cute decor. Not much, but this is what I took:

Adults can get make overs too, right? I had my hair done at the WDW Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique last year and would like to do the same for my birthday at Disneyland. How far in advance do you need to make a reservation?

From the AP site (under See What's In Store For You) it shows:

The Knight Package (for boys) includes a hairstyle with colored gel and a shield and sword — $12.95

If you go there again, or if anyone else would like to find out, could you ask them if the sword that comes with the option is the foam sword that goes with the foam Prince Philip shield shown below (the sword on the left), or if the sword shown on the right can be substituted? Please and thank you in advance.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da38b3127ccec6b2a8e2dea300000040O00EasmLJszbMg e3nwg/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

DS does need that sword/shield set to be replaced, but he's also been wanting the sword on the right, and I think he'd quite like having the colored gel hairstyle. He also likes hanging out with girlie girls, being called a prince, and meeting the adult women who take care of the princesses (he got the autographs of the Ladies in Waiting back when the PFF was in full swing), so I think the Knight package would be fun for him for his birthday, but I do want to know about the sword ahead of time. (and I don't think I could explain it well on the phone, especially if the PS people aren't actually there in the shop)

Thanks!

There is one question I have, shouldn't they have themed this location to Sleeping Beauty rather than Cinderella being that it is part of her castle? It would have been so cool to do something with the three good fairies, a different color for each little girl's chair, something with the lighting. I think it is a good concept, but I just get a little bummed that Sleeping Beauty tends to get forgotten often because Cinderella has a bigger castle and more fans.

I was concerned about that too since we had an 8am appt and the park opened at 8. There is no early entry for it. Just be there for when the gates open and you'll be fine (they expect that when there's appts for first thing)
We ended up grabbing the monorail from DTD right at opening... drops you off in Tomorrowland and we walked right on over. It took no time at all.

Word to the wise - Before moms make ressies - be SURE DD will be well rested!! My GF went tot he BBB in WDW & her DD had been in the parks all day, the only ressie was a late one. The poor girl was pooped & had a fit & hated everything - purely from fatigue & crankiness of course. The girls are getting their hair brushed into up-do's, not all little girls can stand the pain of that, LOL!! Just be ready.

Sort of sad DD is too old for this, she'll be 11 by the time we go this fall & she joked if she did get it done the other little girls would think she was a REAL princess & think she was a walking photo op. :lmao: DD is close to 5'2" & being taller tends to draw in the little girls (gym daycare, Chuck E Cheese, etc).

Now - If I could only find the imaginary spot where DS can be transformed into Wolverine....I'd be mom of the year. :thumbsup2

Now - If I could only find the imaginary spot where DS can be transformed into Wolverine....I'd be mom of the year. :thumbsup2

:goodvibes

I'm sensing some serious hair gel (DS loves it when I use hubby's Got2Be spiky gel) and some gloves with little silver blunted spikes in your son's future. :)

Also, how does the photo package work? Do you go to another room and have photos taken?

There is a small photo studio in the back, separate from the salon/store. It's really quite cute. On one half, there's a grassy area with little animal figurines and a forest painted onto the wall. The other half has a small Cinderella style carriage. The carriage has curtains and the door opens so that pics can be taken of the child inside the carriage and peeking through the windows and such (without looking at our pics to double check, I believe the castle is painted on the wall behind it).

They did quite a few different poses with our DD and there were some lovely photos. From those, you get to pick your favourites to be printed out as your package.

Also, there is a Photopass person taking pics during the make-over process and these are accessible if/when you order your Photopass cd.

Thanks for that great info on the photos! That sounds like it might be worth the extra money.

Still wondering if anyone knows the difference between the dresses you can buy in the BBB in the parks and the dresses you can buy at the disney store or even at Target.

Thanks for the help!

There's probably someone out there who has better info on the dresses than I do, but what I remember is this:
The dresses in the boutique are the same that are available throughout the park. Apparently, they are more expensive than what you might find at the Disney Store or anywhere else for that matter.
I also remember reading that some felt that the Park dresses were "itchier" too. Many people do seem to bring in their own dress from outside the park to the make-over so it is not a problem to do that if you choose. I also recall some people saying that the Disney Store dresses were the "ballerina style" and the Disneyland ones were more the full gown type of thing.

For what it's worth, we did the full package at the boutique (buying the dress there too). We felt it was worth it for a couple of reasons. One is that DD now has a beautiful dress that's unlike all the other girls in her class (you wouldn't believe how many princesses there were on Halloween last year! LOL). The other is that she loved to go to the boutique and pick her dress and get her hair done... it was a whole experience for her rather than just the hair-do. She entered as herself and came out a "real princess" (according to her).

:thumbsup2

Ummm, I am turning 38 on our next trip and have plans to do this with DD9, DD12 and myself. For hair/makeup makeovers. I don't see why you DD wouldn't want to do it, my girls are very excited and neither of them are very girlie at all. :)

My DD did BBB at Disneyworld at ages 10 and 11 and LOVED it! She'll probably want to do it again at Disneyland and she'll be 12.

Just an FYI, I finally got thru today to Disney Dining (I've been trying off and on since last month) and made our ressies for WCT, NO problems doing so on a Monday afternoon, the 25th so I thought they might be booked because it's a holiday, so I'm super excited about that! And while I had the gal on the phone (Heather, she's super sweet!) I asked about BBB because I hadn't booked it yet either, well I got 3 appts for 9, 9:10 & 9:30, she said it wasn't a problem to do me and yes, it's all ages. :) We are doing the crown package I think she said it was, so it's just hair and shimmery make up and I think I'm probably more excited than the kids are! LOL DBF is going to roll his eyes at us but we will be so pretty!! I might even get us all tiaras before we go so we can wear crowns too! :) Heather did say that there are girls of all ages so even tho I may not see any other adults getting do's that they definitely do them regularly.

I got this done at WDW and I'm 25, I also booked my Mum to do it and she's 53. I went in before her and I got a few looks but whatever I'm at Disney. I loved it and plan on doing it later this year at Disneyland...although it'll just be me as I'm going solo.

After we went and saw all the princesses and got lots of photos.

Have fun!!

It must be so cute to see all these little girls walking around the park with their hair and makeup done and in their beautiful dresses. I would love for my dd(3) to do this, but she's not the patient, sit still type yet...although she loves to look "pretty like a princess". Maybe I will take her to just look around and if she seems excited about it, I will make an appt. for her.

We were at BBB on Tuesday and I took pictures of the crowns/nail polish and some of the dresses.

I was at the Disney store about a month ago and seem to remember their dresses were more of a "ballerina" style than the traditional princess dresses at the BBB. However, BOTH were beautiful. I saw a lot of girls in what looked like homemade princess dress too. I think really, anything goes.

BTW, if you buy just a dress at the BBB, they were about $65.00.

Thank you SO much for those photos. I can't wait until our trip in September. I think we will probably just do the full package so that my 5 yr old can "shop" for her dress & accessories. We don't really let her get things at stores so she will be SO excited. Plus the full package comes with the photo shoot which sounds neat.

Thanks again for sharing!

I am so excited for our appt at BBB in just over a week now. I finished making my DD Belle dress this weekend. She loves the dress and can't wait to wear it, but I haven't told her about the appt at BBB yet. She is the total girly girl and is always asking me to put my makeup on her or have her nails done. She will be over the moon excited about that.

If you want a tiara, then you have to choose the hairstyle that comes with a tiara which is the "bun" hairstyle. And yes, they let you choose the tiara but they are all pretty similar -- one will have blue stones, another pink stones or pearls etc. DD also got to pick a HUGE pink gem type ring. She was in total heaven!!

So with the Crown Package you can get a tiara? I have no problem with bun style, besides with all my hair it's probably easier to do bun style. lol I think we will stop at Claire's and maybe get our own. :)

Alas, for us, the visit wasn't so great. The good thing, though, is that on our way off to the airport I met two CMs who seemed to have the ability to take feedback and perhaps make some changes with BBB as it pertains to boys.

Sure, BBB is mainly for girls, I understand that. However, they offer this ONE thing for boys, and I feel (call me crazy!) that if they're going to offer it, they need to do it RIGHT.

My boy isn't anti-girl. He likes them, and doesn't mind hanging out with them. Doesn't mind pink (though he doesn't want to wear it) or glitter or anything. I let him know that there would be many girls around him, and he was OK with it in theory and in reality.

The hair salon "capes" are blue (fine) with pink princess-head (Cinderella I think) on them. OK, OK, that's OK...would be nice if they had a few with a *knight* on them, since they have the "knight's" package, but OK. I mean, considering that we're supposed to be in Sleeping Beauty's castle it would make more sense to have Sleeping Beauty's image on the capes (and sign), so it makes no sense from any angle. Equal opportunity making no sense. :rotfl:

The choices for the Knight's package are...spikes or slicked back. My dude has no real concept of what slicked back might look like, but he knows that hubbys' short hair goes into spikes, so he chose spikes. Alas...despite a very recent haircut, it was too long. So if your guy has short hair, spikes are fine. But if it's a little longer, those spikes are going to look like true, damage-doing, spikes.

In looking at the pictures, I think it's not as bad as we felt it was at the time. E really didn't like it, and it took two days for us to figure out all the reasons. Some are because he just didn't like the spikes, others are reasons that probably won't mess with other kids, but I'll give you the reasons just in case.

The FGIT, who was really VERY nice and sweet and spent a LOT of time on him (it's supposed to be 15 minutes but we were there ages b/c of how careful and meticulous she was being), told him not to hug me until the colored gel she was putting in his hair was dry, so I didn't get red dye on me. A nice thought. However, he didn't really understand it, thought his hair would be like that forever, and therefore, we finally figured out, thought he would never be able to hug me again. Poor dude. Little kids get strange things into their heads sometimes, and it can be the simplest thing that puts it there, so just have it in your head that your kid might have a strange thought like that, if they have a weird reaction.

At the end, when they did the not-so-big reveal (they do a big thing for GIRLS, but with him it was just turning him around), he did not like it. So she offered to take some spikes down to make it a mohawk, but he doesn't know what that is. From all the little boys I saw with them, he must be in the minority, but that was the deal with us.

And the FGIT was really sweet and said all the right things about fixing it, and we tried to get him to talk, but he went all quiet. Told me the next day that he was scared to tell her that he wanted her to fix it, because he didn't want to make her mad. :( I would have just had her do it, but that place was packed and I felt we had spent quite enough of her time already, so we just left.

He did like the sword and shield! I, personally, think they should give the parents a head's up first...the foam sword is just fine...the plastic sword was...too big to fit into our luggage. We had a big carryon that's a DVC tote with a zipper, we were using it for crackers, bagels, and bread (safe stuff for E), and we put it in there, just barely cramming it in, and thankfully the TSA agents we encountered were tremendously sweet and understood that it was a toy, but made sure we knew that not all TSA agents would have let it get past them. It's BIG (and we use luggage that's actually carryon size...if you use bigger, hard-sided, luggage you won't have a problem, but we did).

We also feel that the confetti is just silly. It took what could have been a pretty cool hairdo (with shorter hair, or even with his hair) into just silliness. In our opinion. I've seen pix of the "cool dude" hairdo at WDW and it looked fine in pix, and it actually looks OK in my pictures, but in person it just looked...well...silly.

E with hairdo with confetti and sword and shield.

Closeup of droopy spike and confetti and all.

Shortly after that pic was taken, someone said Happy Birthday to him, and we were greeted by a fellow dis'er, boiseflyfisher, if memory serves. It was cool. :goodvibes

He did get lots of compliments and looks from people all day. As the day went on he liked it more.

But he was VERY glad when we went back to the room and I rinsed it out before we went to the pool. Very glad to get "his" hair back.

Oh, and the last little bit of "if you're going to offer a thing for boys, do it right" is the keepsake thing you get. First, it's not something to get AFTER the visit. Rather it's something that should be given BEFORE. It talks about inviting you to step into the boutique, and shows the choices.

For girls.

Not for boys.

It's all princess-centric, and that's just not right. Who would it hurt to make up a page, even if it has to be in pink, without saying that they will turn "you into the princess of your dreams"? I don't think it would hurt anyone. Make up 10 or 20 boy brochures a day, there, you're done. Maybe get some knight-head capes. Have a picture of the hairdos available for boys so that smaller boys know what on earth is being offered to them. Not hard!

And the CMs I talked to at the end of our stay didn't think it was difficult to implement either, and thanked me strongly for my ideas. I'm hoping it will be better for other boys in the future!

I loved my FGIT, she was so much fun and I had a lot of hair and she did a really great job. I was a little bummed about only have 3 choices, really for me there was only 1 I would do so I got my tiara! :thumbsup2 DD9 did the same style and thought it was great that we did the same thing. We almost made DD12 do it too but decided to let her to her Diva thing instead. LOL

The dresses are not big enough for adults. I can wear a kids 14-16 and there weren't any dresses I could wear. Besides DL wouldn't let you do that anyway, they won't let you in wearing a costume unless you're under 10. You could do the hair/nails tho, that's the best part anyway. :)

I think I want to go back to the BBB in Disneyland since i've never been to that one. I'm 24, and I went and did it with my best friend at WDW and people kept saying how cute we looked and we were like "We're celebrating becoming princesses today!" It really was an amazing experience, and my fairy godmother in training was so wonderful!! I think the best part about it was because i'm older, I can always remember this experience. As a kid, I don't remember a lot of my Disney memories, but as an adult, it will stay with me forever.

Here's my "Reveal" picture when they showed me the final product (in the mirror, so reverse image LOL), and then me and my amazing FGMiT

Well it was myself and my 2 girls, we got taken back at the same time and it took us about 30-40 min give or take a few. We didn't do nails, only the hair package. And yes, there is definitely a discount for Premium AP holders. I think for the Visa too but I don't remember.

WE got 5 prints I think, we got a 5x7 and 2 sets of 2 smaller 4x6s. If you have a photopass card they will just put them on there so that's what we did, we got the photos then and we also had them put on the card so I was able to add borders to them. We did...ummmmm, 3 or 4 different poses, 1 with the woodland animals, 1 standing outside the carriage and 1 sitting inside the carriage.

Thanks for posting all the pictures and reviews. We were there last April when the BBB opened, and it looked fabulous... but unfortunately my DD was only 2. As she will be turning 3 soon, I told her that she will get to go to the BBB on our next trip as her birthday present. She is so excited! She loves looking at all the BBB photos and BBB videos on youtube.

She is adorable!

I would love to see others pics too.

For those who are alittle puzzled about why they have all this Cinderella stuff while the main castle is Sleeping Beauty, think of the name of the Boutique! Its the Fairy Godmothers...from Cinderella. So that is why it is all Cindy themed.
I'm betting they will eventually put a Pirate League at DLR too, so the boys can have some fun. It seems to be a really big hit at WDW so far.

the pics of my DD in the red dress in my signature are from her photoshoot after BBB at MK at WDW. We really had a fun time, but I like the DL theming of the room and decorations better than both at WDW.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:I'm going to do BBB in a week and a half when I get there. I'm really looking forward to it!!:banana:

Has any women gone there with short hair? Just wondering what they might do hairstyle wise. I don't have enough hair to do a bun. I don't think a princess would look very regal in the "cool dude" look.

I'm definitely getting some sort of tiara, whether it comes with the hairstyle or not.

my husband may kill me but i want to do this for myself.. wonder how big the dresses come.. im pretty short and may be able to squeeze into a dress lol lol... only for picture purposes though not sure if i'd walk around Disneyland like that lol...

I could just fit into an XL Cinderella dress, it was VERY tight around my *ehem* chest area but it did fit. It came to my knees and looked cute. I did end up taking it back though as it was a little bit too tight! :lmao:

The FGiT are VERY good with hair......DD13 has very thick hair, she has some in the back that breaks all the time because it's so thick and heavy, we were worried but they used so much gel that the short pieces (and she has quite a few of them) stayed up all day.......they will just use loads of gel and bobby pins to keep your hair up. :)

Well I assume they are just like the ones at WDW. they are not stylist, but braidest, basically. (CA laws maybe different) but they can onbly do 1 of the 3 hairstyles and they aren't allowed to vary from them. I'm nost sure what they can do with hair that short, but all styles require it being pulled back to start in a ponytail and/or braid. They use that pony/braid as part of securing thins in the style. You may want to ask at the desk right away if or what they can do. It may be jsut putting a tiara on top of your head, and for that amount of money you can do that yourself. I jsut want you to be prepared, so you don'e spend alot of money on nothing.

Thanks! That's kind of what I was afraid of... On the other hand, I was reading Bumbershoot's post about the Cool Dude and thinking, with a tiara, that might not be so bad... I can be the punk rock princess! But I will ask them when I get there on Sunday, that way I can cancel before Wednesday if need be. There's absolutely no way they will be able to braid or do a ponytail. Just not possible. I guess we'll find out what they will/won't come up with.

I think that would be GREAT! Try to not let them use *too* much gel, they really loaded Eamon up, and his hair was drooping after awhile. Or if you have any really good "freezing" gel that could get the hair to stand up, maybe see if they'll use that, then add the color on top of it (which is what they did with E).

Then yeah, throw a tiara on it, awesome! Wish I could be there to see it!

I'm really late for answering, but I just wanted to chime in that the ladies at BBB are amazing.

My hair is way shorter than on the picture, so we went in a couple of days before my appointment and asked if they could do anything. Two of the Fairy Godmothers in training had a look and assured me that either Diva or Pop Princess wouldn't be a problem.

I decided on Pop Princess in the end and it looked really fantastic. I was so distracted that I didn't even notice they forgot to give me the jewel thing that comes with the package.

A jewel crown and barret only comes with the bun style

So the crown is what they call "Body Jewels"?

The crown package says it includes "body jewels", and the itemized bill I got does show a charge of $ 4.95 also saying "body jewels". That had me confused. I expected a ring or something like that.

But if it's the crown that explains things, thanks. Sometimes I shouldn't be looking at receipts that closely. ;)

No they should have given you actual body jewels. I had a small jewel on my cheekbone, so did my girls. You also should have recieved a ring, a big gaudy ring that kids love but me.....not so much. LOL I wore it for photos and then took it off. :) So when you left you should have been given a pink bag that had your makeup, brush, comb, body jewels and anything else they used on you inside.

Cute 'do by the way :)

I got the cheekbone thing, but not the ring. Checked the bag (which I got too) but it's not in there. It's not a big deal that it's missing, I probably would have taken it off like you too. I was just curious if there was something missing.

According from the Fairy Godmothers' conversation I was their first "adult princess" of the day, and looks like that left them a little confused. They even almost forgot to give me my sash.

I liked the 'do to - you mainly see the bun version, pop princess and diva looks seem to be pretty rare.

My hair is so short it is almost spikey in some parts.

I liked what they could do with it. A friend had recommended the Pop Princess look to me anyway because she thought that matches my personality best, and she was right.

But this is always a personal opinion if that "something" is worth it. If your daughter and you prefer the "classic" bun look I daresay you'd possibly be disappointed.

She will be happy to have special attention and be pampered. I'm sure it will be worth it just in the pampering but I may stop by our first day and see what they can do. She isn't a "bun" girl infact she was after me to cut her hair short. I had hoped to wait until after our trip but that wasn't going to happen.

Our appts were at 9, 9:10 & 9:20 so I was the first Queen of the day too. They were soooooooooooooooooo excited to see me walk back there after checking in! LOL It was almost comical how excited they were to get a Queen with her Princesses. They called me Queen Kerri the whole time I was there and they kept asking my Princesses questions about me. They really made ME feel special. :) My photopass card said "Queen Kerri" on it so every PP we had done the photographer called me Queen Kerri. LOL We had so much fun doing that. I offered to let both DDs do it again for their bdays, they looked at each other and DD13 said "actually Mom, J and I already talked about that and we decided that we'd rather leave it the something special we did with YOU on your bday". awwwwwwwwww

The body jewels are the stickers they put on your face, along with extras in your bag. I see someone mentioned a big gawdy ring, not sure about DL, but at WDW they don't have such a thing. No jewelry is given.

They definitely gave each of us a big gaudy ring in May. I don't know if they still do but I have mine at home, and they are clearly visible in our photos because they made sure they posed us so you could see our "jewels". :)

They still give the rings at DLR. I checked with another user here who did the makeover a couple of days before me and she was given the ring too. Like I said, it's no big deal that it's missing. I just wanted to know what happened because I noticed that part of the receipt. But I admit I would have never thought of the stickers being called body jewels... LOL

Our appts were at 9, 9:10 & 9:20 so I was the first Queen of the day too.

Mine was at 4 PM, so that was a bit surreal. ;) They still put Princess on my Photopass card though, probably because I was solo.

They don't really "do" the nails though. They put on nail polish, that's it. The story about the polish being prepared by Tinker Bell and her friends with strawberries and pixie dust was really cute though, and I almost started biting my nails because that thing smelled so good. :D

Excuse me if I'm asking something that's already been answered. I'm pretty experienced with the WDW BBB, but not with DL.

1) What is the first appt time of the day?

2) Do they do appts before park opening?

3) If so, do you need early MM priveleges to get in for a pre-park opening appt? We expect to be staying offsite. Since we only will be in the park one day, before hours would be a HUGE help.

4) Is it still 60 days in advance for appts or has that changed?

5) what number do you call for an appt?

Many thanks for bringing me up to speed on the other coast!

I went in May - we had the 1st appt of the day which was 5-10 minutes after the park opened. They do not have early entry (or at least they didn't). We were in and out very quickly though. We actually did BBB on a day we planned to be at California Adventures, so we were able to finish up at BBB and be over at CA (after a spin on the carousel) for park opening/rope drop there (which was an hour later than MK).

I don't remember what # we called, but it was on the disneyland BBB web page. I am pretty sure 60 days is correct.

I loved this thread when trying to plan for our trip.....but not a lot about the boys & their experience......so here goes!!

Our son, 9 wanted to do this as well......his 5 yr old sister was getting the works. He got to pick from 2 swords & also got a shield.

He was taken back to the salon, & they started working on his hair & putting it into a mohawk. They use hair products to somewhat glue the hair into place. He was able to chose the colors they put in his hair......he went rainbow with red tips. He also opted to have the Mickey confetti sprinkled in his hair as well as the traditional magical glitter. They made a big deal about his reveal & he loved it.

It ran us $13.95 before the AP discount.

Both kids really enjoyed it!! My son's hair was drooping by dinner time.....but that was ok....didn't really want him sleeping on the white sheets & pillow case with all the color!!
My daugher kept the hairpiece in for 2 additional days......I did have to play with the hair a bit.

Great experience!!

Oooh that would be awesome if it was.. my DS saw the pics and thinks it looks great!!! DD will do studio 365 I think (she does LOTS of ballet performances so it very "use' to the bun, make up thing.. I think studio 365 may be a bit different for her.

Thought I'd share the receipt so you could see the breakdown. Each thing is itemized.....the hairstyle actually isn't charged....just the other stuff.....I found that interesting.

So for the boys: $9.00 for the shield & $4.95 for the sword = $13.95

You don't have to go all out....this was the big package. I believe the small package of hair & make-up with no costume (you can wear your own or just regular clothes) is $49.95!!

I saw lots of girls come in dressed already & some had tees & shorts on......either way you go.....it is a fun experience & they look really cute when they're done!!

$50 is alot better.

Have a question about pictures with the princesses. Are they all in that area at PFF and you just get in line and snap away? Also if you have the Disney photographer take the pictures, what do they run?

I'm planning out a souvenir budget for next year as I'd like to treat my niece to an annual pass for her birthday and do some special things through out the year.

Thanks for any help.

Great pics of the kids DizNee Luver!

You won't know which princesses are back in PFF until you go around the corner and actually see them. And it is even possible that one might swap out with another right before you get to her.

It is also possible that you could wait for an hour plus, only to find the exact same princesses you saw the day before.

We've always seen 3 when we get back, but I understand that occasionally it might be 2.

It's a terrible set up. Take her to have lunch at Ariel's Grotto and pass on PFF.

So I was a slacker mama and just called today to make an appointment for next week at the BBB for my little girl...and there was only ONE appointment slot left prior to our lunch at Ariel's Grotto. Eeep! So we have a BBB appt at 11:20 and then we have lunch at Ariel's at 12:50...it all sounds so rushed to me. Yuck.

Do they often have cancellations at BBB or take people early? I should have made this appointment weeks ago. Ugh. We're just doing the updo ($50 package) not the full mega-deal.

Sorry to hijack....are the princesses there for lunch at Ariel's? I know they do character breakfasts, and that they're not there for dinner, but is the lunch a character lunch as well?

That's interesting about the PFF. I was hoping to save money and get her a pic with a princess at PFF rather than the character meal, but it sounds like that might be more hassle than it's worth?

This was the first year we did the PFF & we went the end of July & only had to wait 20 minutes!! It was the shortest I had ever seen that line!! We saw Tiana, Belle & Ariel. My daughter loved it!! The photo pass photographers are there to take lots of pics & will take pics with your camera as well.

Ariel's Grotto is a great character meal if that is what you want. The food is good & the princesses come by your table for autographs & pics. Ariel's does tend to be a bit on the spendy side.

Thanks everyone for posting your pics and experience, I was wondering if someone could explain to me the difference between the $200 vs. $50 package other than the outfits and pictures?

If we get the $50 could we still take pictures by the coach? Or is that limited only for the big package?

Also what is included in the photo package? and how does it work? Do they take the pictures at a different location?

I'm trying to decide if the $200 package is worth it for 2 girls or if I should go with the smaller package and buy them the princess outfits separately.

Thank you so much!

Oh one more thing, does anybody have an experience with a teenager? :)

Thanks!

DizNee Luver

Basically the BIG package includes the costume, shoes, tiara or gloves & wand.....plus the hair, make-up, nails, jewelry & body jewels with the photo package.

If you have your own costumes, then just doing the smaller hair & nail package would be the way to go. You can add the photo session for $29.95. They have a small room set up with 3 different scenes that they will take pictures in front of. You get a 5x7 & 4 standard size photos.

You spend very little to a whole lot depending on what you want. Hope that helps!!

No help for the teen though.....I did see teens in there.....they can do the hair & make-up.....but anyone over the age of 9 can not wear a costume!! Adults also can do that package as well!!

I did the $50 package for my daughter and she LOVED it. The Photopass photographers took pictures of her during the process while she sat in the chair (and I took pictures with my camera too) and then they took pictures when she was done, too. All of her pictures were done while she sat in the chair--no backgrounds/coach or anything like that. All of the pictures are on our Photopass card with the rest of our Disneyland pictures.

The $50 covered her hair (she had the princess updo), a simple little tiara, makeup (including a little jewel stuck on her face), a ring, the comb they did her hair with, the leftover makeup, and a flimsy pink backpack to carry the leftover junk in. Oh and a pink sash saying Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

She wore her Cinderella dress from home and was totally happy with what was done--she is almost seven and had no idea there were fancier things that could be done. They don't try to upsell you and guilt you into doing more for your child.

It was a great experience overall. VERY crowded, but my daughter was thrilled.

We did not do the big package and we did do the photos with the coach and the animals. So yes, you can add that on. there's a room in the back where they do the photos, they will put them on your photopass card and you can purchase pictures right there as well, I just had it all put on my photopass card and then I ordered that when we got home.

As for doing teens, I was there for MY birthday, I was the bday queen. lol I took my DD's and did this for my 38th bday, 1 DD was 9 at the time, the other was 13 so yes teens AND adults are just fine.

None of us did the big packages, we just did the hair/makeup combo, we didn't even do the nails. DDthen13 and I couldn't get costumes (nor did we want them) and DDthen9 didn't want to be the only one dressed up. You can take your own dress in and have your DD's change there, they don't mind that at all or you can have the kids wear costumes to the BBB the day of the makeovers. It's not a problem at all to supply your own costumes.

Not sure if they are still doing it, but they used to do really cool face painting over by Tinkerbell & the Matterhorn that I would think a teenager would really love. Maybe that could be an alternative to doing the princess thing....

I'm assuming you mean the red Belle one. I got it 1 1/2 years ago on Disney shopping. It is no longer sold, but you can find them on ebay every so often for a heafty price.
The Mary Poppins one was a dress I had her dance studio order. It was a sleevelss, so we put a shirt under it and added to it with the hat, boots and parasol.
I am selling 2 other dresses right now on ebay.
They have a little over a day left on them yet. Both are size 4/5. One is the Ariel wedding dress (which is no longer made) and the other is the Sleeping Beauty dress, which also is no longer made.

The 2 in my signature still fit her, so not going to sell them yet.

Thanks jenseib!
I figure it was something like that... hehe
It's just so pretty I had to ask...

Justed wanted to come post our experience at BBB yesterday.

We booked the castle package as we were attending the Halloween party and my DD had been planning on going as Belle.

What a wonderful experience for her. She was pampered and given so much attention during the hour we were there.

I was a little worried at first about the hairstyle. My DD has VERY long hair and I wanted them to do something with HER hair, not just a hairpiece. I was so worried I almost cancelled and took her to Disney 365. It was hard to tell in the pictures they had, but DD got the Disney Diva style where they did "4 Mickey Twists" and then also a hair piece. She wore the colored piece to the party, but I bought a brown one for Halloween when I attempt to do her hair the same way at home!

I think the only thing I didn't like about the entire experience was that THEY picked the pictures they printed for me, and then gave me a photo pass card for the rest. I dunno, seemed like I should have been able to pick.

I DID like how I didn't have to buy the shoes for the costume. They just charged me for what we picked out. The shoes for Belle are flip flops, and I had bought my DD some gold ballet slippers to wear. We also got some gold earings and a locket in the store.

Now, they didn't have my DD size though in the dress. She is a YM and they only had L and S. Never would have occurred to me they wouldn't have her size! But,they used some rubber bands to make the straps shorter and it worked fine. They said they were out through the entire resort!

Anyways, I would totally recommend this experience for all families!

Sounds like a great experience!! How fun! :)
When we did the photos I did get to pick which ones were printed right there, that's odd that they've changed that.

They took so many pics too. I did like that they also let me take my own pics w/the props. When they were done they told us to sit and they brought me the photos already printed.

Oh, it was pouring rain too. They even gave her a rain bonnet to wear.

My sister (15 at the time) has long, thick, curly, layered hair. It can get the I-just-woke-up look after a few hours of being "done" in the morning. She wasn't sure what style to get, I suggested the "punk" look after seeing the expamle they had and knowing her personality and how difficult her hair can be. She was VERY satisfied with the results, and this girls is known for her constant complaining!!

DD14 has very thick hair, while it's not very long now it was longer when we went to BBB, there were no problems styling her hair. :)

Oooh, just what I wanted to ask.
Is it possible for us to just do the cheaper option and then purchase the dress seperately? It sounds like it could save me almost $100/girl.
Or do we have to do the Castle package and then they take off the stuff we don't want?
Do these extra items:

princess gown of choice, wand, shoes and portrait package courtesy of Disney's Photo Pass Service (assorted prints in themed folder).

really worth an extra $150 you think?

If the dress is about $70, that means the shoes, wands and portrait package is $80. I'm sure we can go without those items and just buy the photopass for cheaper.

Last year the photo package was an extra $30 and it is done in a little room with a coach and woodland animals. I don't think you can use the room for photos unless you buy the photo package. We might try to save money this year by bringing our own dresses & stuff. Another reason, we had a bad experience because they didn't have the Belle shoes in my daughter's size and she didn't want a different set of princess shoes. So all our photos have black tennis shoes in them with a beautiful Belle princess dress. :)

Well, I got an itemized receipt of everything I purchased. The package says a price "range", as it all depends on the cost of the items you choose.

My DD got the Belle Dress, Crown (which she didn't wear), wand, gloves/purse, and we also bought some Belle heart earing and a locket. These weren't displayed near the dresses, they were in the corner of the store, pricier than the "jewelry" they had out for Belle. Anyways, I was charged specifically for the items she chose. There were several girls in there just getting hair/make up done as they came in already in their dresses. They also bought the photo package and were in line behind us for that part of it. HTH

I was VERY worried about this, so much so we visited Disney 365 in DTD to see what they had to offer.

My concern was that 2 of the 3 hairstyles offered they aren't really doing ANYTHING with the girl's actual hair. I mean, from what I saw, they were pulling it back into a bun/pony tail. I can do that at home! But the hairstyle with the colored "punked" out hair piece, they do "Mickey Twists" and my DD was so stinkin pretty. I video taped it all as I am hoping to do the same thing to her hair on Halloween.

If you wanted, they would probably use one of the "hair colored" hair pieces instead of the rainbow one. My DD had her mind set she wanted the pretty colors so I just went with the flow. I did buy her hair color piece for when I attempt it at home though. :) They didn't have them set out for sale, but they added it to her bag and charged me for it. With this hairstyle the girls get 4 Mickey clips instead of a ring. I did see these hairpieces for sale in the store that carries ALL the Duffy stuff in DCA accross from Ariel's.

I agree. My little princess was there the same day! The experience is priceless for them, for us to watch them. It was too bad about all the rain that day though.

By the way, we bought the Cinderella dress in one of the shops in Downtown Disney and just had her wear comfortable shoes to walk around in all day long, and then just got the $49.95 package (hair, tiara, sash, nails, makeup, fancy ring). I didn't pay for any photo package. I'm a photographer, so I took all the pictures during the process that I needed and lots afterwards as well.

One question though, did your little one's (shes 4) find it uncomfortable or difficult to stay in the dress all day and do rides and such?

Thank you! :)

We took my daughter to BBB on her 5th birthday, she absolutely loved it princess: We had ressies at Ariel's Grotto for lunch straight afterwards, and she got lots of attention from the Princesses and staff, both because she was Cinderella for the day and it was her birthday.

By the time we had finished lunch, however, she was getting a bit uncomfortable in her princess dress, so we ducked into the ladies room and she changed back into her everyday clothes. She still had her princess sash and crown on so she still looked 'royal".

I am so excited for you and your little one, this is something you're going to remember forever :cloud9:

Cheers, Liz

If we do the $50 package for my daughter and then a package for my son and want to do the photo op with them together, do we pay $29.95 for each of them making it around $60 or just pay the $29.95 once and that's it?

Someone did a trip report last year and not only did her daughter do the BBB but her son also got to experience the pirate BB. I think cost is under $15 and includes hair styling guy style :) and a sword with a shield.

We have decided to have grandson so this dame time Granddaughter does. We do plan on getting the Disney pictures that we have heard they will put on photo pass. The son was able to join the daughter in the photo area for pictures with both kids in photo.

Hope this helps

the Photopass photographer will be snapping pictures during the transformation. Those go on the Photopass automatically.

if you plan on doing the added picture package this is not automatically put on the photopass. If you remove the large picture from the folder there's a number near one corner. Mine started with EVNT, but that has been different over the years. You need to enter that number on your account just like you would add another Photopass card. That way the photos will show up when ordering the CD.

we did this today at DLR. My dd is just turning 3 and she loved it! We did the full package including the photo package. All the photos were put on photopass. Our fgit was pretty good, she was very nice and calm which was good for my somewhat shy dd. She did go a bit crazy with the gel which tended to flake up as the day progressed. My dd's hair is very dark so I kept blowing it/ brushing it off with my fingers for the rest of the day.

The only disappointing part was that they were out of nail polish so my dd did not get to do that. She loves to have her nails painted so she was a little bummed but got over it quickly enough.

Used my brand new premium AP for a 20% discount which soothed the sting of the price tag a bit. On the way out we got the photopass guy to snap some pix of dd in front of the castle then headed over to ariel's grotto for a very nice lunch with the princesses.

Overall it was a great experience, highly recommend. princess:

It sounds like a glitch of some kind, but it's odd that it happened twice for you. Ours was so easy and the photos were with no issues at all...

What time did you schedule her BBB appointment to time it well before Ariel's Grotto princess lunch??

We did our appts first thing in the morning, 9, 9:10 & 9:20, but when we all checked in at 9 they did us all at the same time. What time is your lunch? I would suggest giving it 2.5 hours to get completely done at BBB, to do the photos and then head over to DCA & AG.

our appt was at 9, lunch at 11:45. But by the time I got into the park, took the few mins to get my AP pic done and walked back to BBB it was 9:30. Fortunately they were still able to take us right away but the whole process is pretty slow --in a good way, they really took time with my dd and didn't rush anything --and my dd had to take a potty break before we did the pix. We ended up with plenty of time to watch a short mickey performance in front of the castle, do a character meet with a couple princesses who were standing near the castle and then make the pretty long walk all the way over to ariel's. We got there at 11:35 or so, just in time to check in!

It was a good timeline but could have been done more quickly --2 hrs --if time was an issue!

Hello all. Question for you, as always in this long thread it may have been answered, but searching for it I don't find a similar question, so here it goes....

My daughter got the Crown package, and still all the items on the receipts are itemized out. Is it possible to go in and say NOT get the pink bag? That would save $14 and make the whole experience more reasonably priced! Anyone try this or know the answer?

I've got my sash up framed in a collage and gave the little backpack to a girl in our neighborhood. She was very thrilled to get a gift from Cinderella.

I am hoping to treat myself to this on the day of the first Halloween Party. They offered it for the European cruises on the Disney Magic last year and I had this done on our Transatlantic cruise on one of the formal nights. I am
having the costume custom made. I will have this dress, but in baby pink:

And those shoes in baby pink and white:

I can't wait. I am determined to do the Photopass CD this time round and it will be great to have some photos taken during the make over. They did not offer photos on the Magic. I also think I am going to invest in the photo package.

I though I'd share our recent BBB experience for other newbies debating it. I brought a Belle dress from home and comfy shoes for DD5 and made a reservation for the mid-range package with nail polish (though they told me they weren't sure if they would have nail polish so i would have to ask that day). DD5 picked out the pink hairpiece and pink tiara but got silver/blue nail polish. She was beaming the whole time and loved being pampered. At one point, we had one FGIT doing her hair and one FGIT doing her nails! The Photopass photographer was so friendly and nice, too.

I will say it is a bit crowded in the salon area. Every seat was full and the aisles are narrow so folks kept walking by us as I tried to take photos, too. Still, I think we were very focused on enjoying the experience with DD5 so it was fine. We kept DD2 busy with a movie on my iPhone and some goldfish crackers!

DD5 wore her dress all day (Sept weather was in the 70s so not too hot). I took the bun out that evening, though, as I was worried about the gel issue/hair loss. I read about several girls whose hair fell out from the bun being too tightly pulled back on a thread in the Disney for Families board--mostly WDW BBB experiences but still made me nervous. I just swept her hair back up in a bun each morning and pinned the pink hairpiece back in. It didn't look as nice as the BBB version, but DD5 was happy enough.

I definitely think it was worth the $50 or so (plus tax but we got a 10% discount for using our Disney VISA). The photos are priceless!

OK, so I have some questions I'm hoping someone can help me with. I've read the posts above (some of which are now rather old), and these are sort of answered, but I want to make sure.

1) If you don't do the "castle" package, can you still get pictures? Does it cost extra? We will have the photopass plus card - does that help in any way with these pictures (e.g. free prints or something)?

2) How long do you really need to allow (assume we're not picking out a dress)?

3) Do pretty much all kids wear a princess dress? If my daughter had some other dress, or even just her touring the park clothes, would it seem totally out of place there?

4) Does the hairstyle/makeup tend to stay on all day? If we did BBB in the morning, would it still be similar by dinnertime, or does it tend to always get messed up by rides and such?

Thanks!

You can add the photo package if you want prints. The Photopass photographers will take pictures throughout the makeover. When you are finished, you can ask to have photos taken in the "studio" part.

You will find a mix of girls in princess dresses and girls in their street clothes having makeovers. I would allow about 45 minutes especially if you want to have photos taken.

My DD had the Disney Diva hairstyle and it did not budge all day until I washed it.
Hope that helps.

My granddaughter (6 yrs old) did the whole package at BBB last Friday. Her appointment was for 8:30 and we were told it would take about 2 hours, which it did. It was a lovely experience for her. We made lunch reservations at Ariel's Grotto on the same day. She was in the park on that day until about 10 p.m. and her hair never budged.

Thanks!

3) we brought along DD's princess dress to the park, knowing she would not want to wear it all day. Nobody will blink an eye if your DD wears a princess dress or not

4) DD hairstyle stayed alllllll day and allllll night. She has a lot of hair and it was pretty long too. She chose the bun hairstyle and there was not one fly away!!

Are there Merida dresses? And if we bring our own dress, will they lay it out in the other room and do the whole big reveal?

Still not clear whether the photo pass plus covers these pics?

The Disney store sells several Merida dresses - they are beautiful! Look on line, I believe they are having an extra 25% off sale thru the weekend.

Sorry cant answer your other questions...

They do have a Merida dress, but they were warning everyone how warm the dress is (of course it was 95 degrees on the day we went!). As for the pictures, our photo pass plus only covered the pics taken during the makeover and reveal. The studio package still cost $29.95, which we opted for (couldn't see spending that much on the dress and experience and not having professional pics done without all the crowds in the background).

The Merida dress is SUPER hot! I'm not sure if they have it in BBB (but I'd be very surprised if they didn't, she's huge right now) but I know they have it at the world of disney store.

If you want them to do the "big reveal" with a dress you brought in make sure you tell them when you check in and then again just before they're going to walk you back. They didn't do it the last time when we went with a friend who'd never been even though I asked them too at check in and I was kind of bummed for her.

If you want to have photos taken I would allow for at least 1.5 hrs, not 45 mins as the poster said above. It occasionally takes a bit of time to get in and I've seen it backed up a bit for the photos. They try to keep things moving but delays occur.

Finally, you will see everything from kids in their shorts/tshirts and very fancy princess dresses... its all good and they will make every girl feel special no matter the clothing and hairstyle choice she makes.

The hair will easily stay all day. The make up not so much because they do put it on very lightly. No worries, they give you the extra make up to take home so you can easily provide touch ups for your little princess!

My dd has done BBB 3 times and loved it each time. We're booked to do it again in sept when we go to WDW.

Sorry, my 45 minute quote was for makeover only and if she already had a dress. When DD did it, we did the castle package and it took an hour and a half. She has really long hair too.
I don't know 100% if they will let you do the photo shoot if you are not buying the photo package. I have heard people have been able to do it at times when it isn't busy or backed up.The photos can take a while.
They do sell the Merida dress at the resorts (DD has one). I imagine it would be impossible to wear during summer in FL or CA. She wants to wear it to the Halloween party which should be okay that time of year in the evening.

BBB is not on the list of attractions that allow you take advantage of the PP+. The actual lanyard you receive has two cards with it, one is the actual pass (credit card sized) and a second one half the size that tells you where it can be used for the plus additions.

Few questions I want to get the bun and tiara for my daughter is it hard to take out of there hair at night? Cuz I have other Disney dresses for each day and I want to do her hair differently for them for example her tangled dress I want to French braid her hair and put flowers in it.
Also I'm getting just her hair done and she's wearing her own princess dress I got her but I would like the professional pictures too. I have the photo pass+ do I get them for free with that? Or is there an option to add the professional photos? If so how much? Thank u!

I called yesterday to get pricing and was told that you can add the pictures for $30. We are planning on doing the same thing in December. When are you going? I would love to hear a report if you go before us.

Does anyone have advice on getting dresses? I was thinking Halloween sale but I'm guessing they go quick. I would like to have several dresses for different days.

You could try *this* (http://www.ebay.com/sch/wantsnneeds4u/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=) ebay seller, if she doesn't seem to have what you're looking for you could contact her, if she has what you need she'll post it *you'll want to get it *buy it now* b4 anyone else does. I've done that a couple times.
She has the same dresses available at the Disney Parks her prices however are much lower, not sure how she does it but I don't mind at all.

Hi :goodvibes

Has anyone had the new courtyard package yet? The only photos I can find are from WDW & I wanted to know if the hairstyle will be the same as that.

Thanks.

Forgive me for not reading through all 16 pages, but can adults do this?

We are going to be there next month for halloween and are doing a Mickey's Halloween party. I want to suprise the family with something fun. I got reservations for myself, my wife, and my DS(3yrs) to go to Pirates League and get done up, but I am wondering if Wifey would rather get the Princess theme instead?

Would it be cheesey for her to do this?

The age limit happened earlier this year. It applies for all packages.

Just FYI, there are princess dresses out now for Halloween. They're not the highest quality but someone had suggested to me to not buy them at Disney Store and buy them at Halloween. I will be getting DD4's Halloween Costume at the Disney Store because I do want a high quality one (and warmer for Oregon Jalloween) but I think I'll get a couple of the $19 ones too. Side note: I bought a pattern to make DD7mos a Pascal costume. If I can't do it I will just have her wear the Snow White costume I got off of EBay for her to wear to DL.

We plan on doing BBB twice when there in Dec.

Has anyone done the Courtyard package at Disneyland yet? The only photos I have seen are from WDW and I'd like to know if the shirt is the same, and the hairstyle is the same.

I made my reservations yesterday for my 2 princesses via email, but I didn't mention which packages I wanted, do I have to tell them ahead of time, or can I decide when we get there?

It will be cold when we're there and being that my girls are used to 80 degree weather everyday, I doubt they'll want a Princess dress on. I was considering the Courtyard package so I at least can put a long sleeve and leggings under their BBB tees and tutus.

If anyone has done the Courtyard package and has photos please post! Also, how long do they normally take?

I took my granddaughter on Aug 21st and we got the second level priced package, I think it was the "carriage" package. It included hair, makeup, and nail polish. The price was $55. We added a crown for $4. Also included in the package was a banner, comb and brush set, stickers, and extra make up and facial jewels.

Little Fiona absoluetly loved the experience, me too. They take lots of pictures. We had the photo pass plus and they were all on there for us. I took lots of pics too. There is a special photo session with special poses and backdrop for $35 but we didn't do that.

She wore her Cinderella dress that day too. Every where we went the cast members addressed her as "the princess" and she just ate it up.
