I just saw the Michael's add and thought I would let you know their t-shirts are $1.99 this week. So if you haven't purchased your shirts for all of the wonderful DISigns you are wanting to use...this is the week to do it!

Thanks for posting! I meant to post this last night and totally forgot. I got a flyer in the mail yesterday about the sale and went to Michael's last night. It would have helped if I had read the dates on the flyer since the sale doesn't start until today. Doh! So back to Michael's I go today! Of course I spent almost $50 on OTHER stuff there last night.

They are usually $3.99 each so $1.99 is a great deal. I don't think I have ever seen them lower at Michael's.

The shirts at Michaels are 50% polyester, not 100% cotton though. I thought you should only use 100% cotton for dark transfers. Unless I'm completely wrong, but no one ever answered me when asked a while back!

I am fairly new to using these DISigns, but can say that I have used 50% cotton, 50% poly to make shirts for my family and have been pleased with the results. I do not have the experience of LOTS of shirts to compare, tho.
I bought 100% cotton shirts yesterday at Academy for $4.00 and they had many colors. Also, Hobby Lobby had their 50/50 shirts on sale last week for $2 (like Michael's this week). It seems the 50/50's can regularly be found for $2, whereas 100% cotton may be harder.
I wish I had more experience to share with you. I do not know if the transfers last longer and better on cotton shirts. I just know that they look just as good (IMO) on either. Hopefully someone with more experience will post.
I just wanted to add something since no one had posted yet...

Ya I saw that they were on sale and I bought like 50 shirts last week from there. They were on sale for $3. Does anyone know if they will do a price adjustment? If not I am taking them ALL back and saving the $50. We have 3 stores close by and I will just go buy them from a different one...lol.

TY. I appreciate the response. We were at Michaels last night and decided not to get them. 1.99 wouldn't be too much of a loss if only the transfers could be so inexpensive.

I need many shirts as well. Bought some at walmart for $4.50 100 % cotton. But if 100% is not necessary, please let me know so I can go to Micheal's as well.
