July 4th events.

We are checking in at FW on July 4th for our first RV trip to WDW.

According to the calendar there's a "Celebrate America! - A Fourth of July in the Sky" fireworks show.

When/Where does this take place? ... and where are the best areas to view the show?

Also, are there other July 4th events taking place in WDW?

The 4th of July at the Fort is the best! We have gone the last 5 years in a row. I think the golf cart parade starts at 9am (line up starts at 8am) at least in the past few years. The forms to enter the parade were available at the bike barn and in both stores at the Fort. We just spend the day at the Fort enjoying all the activities and watching the fire works from the beach. This was ours from 2007.

That looks like so much fun! Much better than the July 4th stuff we've done at CSR & BC in previous years!

Thanks for the pics everyone - I'm going to use them in my never ending debate with DH about why camping is different now than when he was in the army and boy scouts. Sure hope he doesn't pee on my parade! :rolleyes1
Anyway, I want to join in the fun too and the girls would love it. We're planning to be on property that week anyway. I could even borrow DB's golf cart if I can convince DH to drive instead of flying to meet us. Wish me luck...:worship:

I've got some great lights for our cart, but I didn't know how to make them work. Do you leave your cart decorated after the parade ?

We have never been to the Fort, but we are checking in on the 4th staying until the 11th. We are not planning on going to parks on the 4th, how well can you see the fireworks from the beach. TIA :goodvibes

You won't be able to see the lower stuff, but you'll get a nice view of a lot of it.

They do a lot of games and arts & crafts under the gazebo near the pool.
