I've just reading something which says that DLRP is going to be renamed to drop the "Resort" part of it's name to become "Disneyland Paris".
I've not got links to sources for this, but I thought I'd post it here.
So what I want to know is - how many name changes is that now? The resort has certainly been through a good few over the years and I can't see why they need to change it yet again :confused3

I think it sounds better as DLP because the word resort reminds me of cheap holidays abroad :confused3

When I am writing I write the name as DLRP if I am speaking I say Disneyland Paris. I think I add the resort part when I am writing as I spent a few years frequenting the Disneyland board on here when I was planning that trip and they were quite insistant that Disneyland was the name of 1 park, Disneyland Resort was the name of the whole place.

I just say I've booked my hol and assume everyone knows where I''m going . :)
It's always been Disneyland Resort Paris, since we first visited and I tend to refer to as that, but it's a bit of a mouthful and in my experience most people just say Disneyland Paris or Eurodisney, still.

I never say Disneyland Resort Paris, always Disneyland Paris so won't make a lot of difference to me... And it's shorter ;)

I'm another who writes it as DLRP but always says it as Disneyland Paris. If I hear someone say Disneyland I always think of Anaheim. I detest the term EuroDisney too.

Another here who writes DLRP but refer to it in speech as Disneyland Paris. I also wince when people say Eurodisney and so want to correct them but don't - unless it's my Mum :lmao::rolleyes:
I think Disneyland Paris is a great name for it - not sure why it wasn't called that all along (she says 'tongue in cheek') :rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao:

I agree fully with this and behave in exactly the same way. If they are dropping the Resort part, then that will actually make it the only Disney area in the world not to be have "Resort" in its name.

Same here:thumbsup2 Disneyland makes me think of California.
At the moment as DH and I are talking about DLP in secret or code we have nicknamed it "BM's" which stands for "baby mickey's" ie. not "the daddy" (WDW) :rotfl2::rotfl2: It's complcated when you're keeping a secret from your little un's......

I say Disneyland Paris or Disneyland Resort Paris.
I don't even know the official name of the second park, so I usually refer to it as "studios."
