I just saw a red and white hibiscus print t-shirt on Children's Place's website that would look so cute with a Lilo and Stitch design on it. Would the print show through an iron-on design? The DISign I am thinking of using is a black Mickey-head with Lilo and Stitch on it. I am planning on using Amy's dark transfer paper.
Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Please respond if you know anything about transfers on a print shirt...I just bought a striped shirt and a hibiscus print.
Thanks!

I don't think the fabric print will show thru dark transfer paper. Can you post a picture of the shirt?

If you use a transfer for a dark shirt, it won't show through because the transfer is actually white. If you use a transfer for a light shirt, it will show through because the transfer is clear.
Hope this helps.

I am not able to post pictures yet, sorry!
Thanks for the info! I was unsure what the difference between light and dark transfers was.

with the light transfer any white area of the design will be clear. If you use dark transfer paper and cut out the design (cut out all the white) I think it would be cute with Lilo and Stitch on the print shirt.
Let me see if I can make an exmple

Tracie - that is exactly what I am wanting it to look like! Thanks for the visualization! I just didn't want the print to come through on the design. I will definitely cut around the edges like you have done. Thanks again!

You are quite welcome I have to see it to "get" it! Amy's dark transfer paper is great!
