This is now a TR, as we are back-you can find the links to my posts at the bottom of THIS post! Thanks for reading!

The Piratespirate:
Me-Jill (35)
DS Alex (6)
DS Evan (6)
Yes, they are twins. Yes, they are identical. Yes, they keep me on my toes. I thought I would just cover those often asked questions right off the bat!
Here are my two little Pirates at the P&PP last year:

http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/S5000714.jpg

Also in our cast of characters is my DH Greg (38) He is not included in our Pirate list because he is not going on this trip with us.:sad1: He works in Agriculture, so spring planting time is not the ideal time to travel for him. (and he is not a Disney freak like me-he is happy to go "every 2-3 years" Insane, I know!)

The Details
'Round about December, when I really started feeling the "Disney Blues", the most Magical Place on Earth roped me in with the 4/3 deal. Now, when I called, I was not able to actually GET the 4/3 deal for our dates, but I was already hooked!
I booked a Pirate Room at Caribbean Beach Resort for 4/25-5/2. I am super excited about the room and refurbed pool! CBR is the only moderate I haven't tried so I am really pumped to try it out!

I decided not to tell the boys about the trip. I considered waking them up the morning we leave and telling them "We're going to Disney World!!" but decided that since daddy isn't coming I should give them a little time to acclimate. My friend made a great advent style countdown calendar, which ends the day before we leave. Each door has a clue behind it, with a corresponding treasure in their treasure box.

How fun! So have the boys been doing their countdown calendars for a few days. Do they have any clue yet?

I'm thinking about starting a Pre TR too but I don't know if I have time.

They don't have an idea yet, but the clues become more revealing in the next little bit... They are on day 8 today, which is "have daddy measure you".

I guess I could be doing laundry or packing..but here I sit on the DIS:lmao: It is my favorite place to be when all is quiet on the home front:thumbsup2

We are flying out of HHH terminal in Minneapolis at 8 am on 4/25 and are supposed to arrive at MCO at noon. We will catch ME and I hope to be at CBR around 1:00.

Day 1: Check in, swim, then off to MK for an ADR at Tony's. I haven't been there the last few trips, but really want to give the Pistachio Creme Brulee my undivided attention. I am a firm believer that Pistachio is a gift from God! I  it!! I plan on spending at few hours at MK, but will base it on how worn out the boys are from the long day!

Day 2: Now, I am planning on doing rope drops, as the boys are EARLY risers and we won't have to wait for anyone else this trip. Today is EPCOT. We love Epcot and are looking forward to trying the new Kim Possible adventure. We have a lunch ADR at San Angel Inn. I know it is not well loved on here-but I love the atmosphere. (That, and Alex can eat his weight in chips and salsa) We will probably bug out early-ish and spend some quality pool time at the awesome looking pool at the resort.

Day 3: MK again today. I have followed the best park recommendations on UG touringplans, and they have served us well in the past-so we are doing it again this time. The boys are going to be bummed that SM and TTA will be closed (I have been keeping my fingers crossed that they will delay the closing, but it doesn't look hopeful) but I'm sure we will manage to have a blast anyway!
I am debating having the boys pixie dusted and gelled at the Harmony Barbershop this morning, but haven't decided for sure yet.

Day 4: DHS today. Hoping to follow the masses to TSMM and see what all the hype is about. The boys are iffy on whether they will ride ToT again..they are not so sure that they want to... I am hoping that they are tall enough to try RNRC! We have a lunch ADR at Sci-Fi, which we really like!
Tonight we are headed to T-Rex for supper. A friend went in December and said her sons loved the build-a-dino.

Day 5: We have an a.m. ADR at 1900 Park Fare. I have never been there, but it looks fun. The boys love riding the monorail, so we will head to Epcot after breakfast. I plan on re-doing some faves and then a late lunch at LeCellier. I am considering taking the boys to the Sandcastle Club at the BC for a few hours early evening. We did this last time and they LOVED it. It gave us a chance to explore the countries, too. They have never seen Illuminations, so if we are not too tired-we may stay for that!

Day 6: This is the day I will start being jealous of those just checking in to the resort:laughing: We have a breakfast ADR at Tusker House at AK. I will try to convince the boys to do EE again (they didn't like the Yeti) and we will explore AK to our hearts content!

Day 7: Is it really almost over???? The boys are signed up for the Pirate Cruise at CBR this morning. I will lay in a hammock reading (is it to early for a daquiri??) or, more than likely-do laundry... I guess I could drink WHILE doing laundry, but I may mix up the darks and the whites:rotfl2:
We will spend the afternoon at the pool, then head to MK. We have a supper ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Day 8: Too sad to even think about......

So there it is! What do you think? Any suggestions for CS places or fun things to try??

Up next: Our Disney Family Fun Nights!!

Just wishing you a wonderful trip!!! I took my 2 boys by myself last Oct, DS3 and DS6 (see oct trip report link below). We had a great time and it was so wonderful spending time alone with them. Looks like you've got a great trip planned.

DS6 started pin trading this last trip and he really enjoyed it, he also managed the autograph cards. Make sure to bring glowsticks for the evenings, that was a blast for my boys. Funny - the favorite thing they loved to do was pulling the sword out of the stone at MK by the carousel. They'd yank on that forever -- they still talk about it today -- go figure!!

Have fun!!!

This will be my first time at CBR. Right now we're booked in a pirate room, but I'm having mixed thoughts. I know my boys will be crazy about the pirate theme, but Trinidad South is so much further away from the main pool where we will be hanging out every afternoon in June. So I'm thinking I'd like to switch to a preferred room -- unfortunately they are all booked on that room type -- I keep calling every day. Can't wait to hear your thoughts about the pirate room!!

I am very interested to see how far away TS is from the pool. You read "it is SOOOO far" and then read "it's not bad at all". Since the boys are 6 now, I am okay with the walk, but then again it takes 2-3 minutes to walk to our mailbox at home...:lmao: I will say, when we took the kids in 2006, they were 4, 4, 4, and 18 months and we stayed at POFQ because it was smaller! We may get to CBR and say "what the heck was all the DIS fuss about!) I will be sure to give honest feedback when we get back!

On a side note-we measured the boys and they are 48 1/2" and 49" without shoes! I hope our measurements jive with Disneys so they can ride RnRC and PW!!

Thanks for reading! I am going to post our Disney Family Fun Night pics tonight!

What was their reaction to " There are treasures to be discovered"?

They were mainly interested in the fact that they got to eat a "Hershey Treasure" at breakfast time...:rotfl:

Evan did say this morning "I think we may be going to Disney World". I told him he would just have to wait-all will be revealed Friday! I have them semi-convinced, though, that the adventure is a tour of a cheese plant. I know, such a mean mom!! WDW is KINDOF a cheese plant, right? The mouse house??

Todays clue was "it's getting sticky" and there was a pack of gum wrapped up in their treasure box. Evan said "I knew it! We ARE going to Disney World" One of the rare times they get to have gum is on an airplane, so that was a tip off for them. (I am not a hyper freak mom, btw. The only reason they rarely get gum is because they can't seem to keep it in their mouths:laughing:) I told them that when Papa Jerry worked at a cheese factory when he was young, it smelled pretty strong. Maybe the gum is to help with the smell at the cheese factory...??? They looked at me like, ":scared1::eek:"

:yay:Hi all!! I AM just bursting! I have my camera battery all charged up to get "the shot" in the morning. I hope I catch it!

This morning's clue was "put some spending money in your wallet" Greg headed Evan off at the pass by saying that there was a gift shop at the cheese factory. The poor kid is so frustrated..Alex is just going with the flow:rotfl:

The forcast is mid 80's and sunny, so I am super excited about that! No rain in the forcast either. We had perfect weather when we went last May too!

I have been following all the crowd threads on the theme park board and have decided that there is nothing that can be done about crowds/low crowds-so we will just go with it!!

I am still debating taking them to the kids club one night. I am thinking about the Neverland Club, then taking the monorail to Epcot for a quiet evening. Has anyone used the Neverland Club?? They really liked the Sandcastle Club last time!!

They opened the last door today, that says "We're going to Disney World!" The looks on their faces crack me up! Alex is like ":scared1:" and Evan is "" They are so excited! Greg has convinced them to give Expedition Everest a second chance-in honor of him! They asked "When are we going" and were thrilled when I said "TOMORROW!" Evan ran a couple laps around the house.

We are doing a Night Before Disney party tonight. I will post pics then!

Off to shave my legs....(gotta wear shorts, ya know:rotfl:)How cool!!!!!

Have a very Magical trip!!!!!

About 20 minutes south of the Minnesota border in Kossuth County. We would be NW Iowa. We are most likely doing the Disneyland thing next year. I have to go home every other year....Can't wait to keep reading!

Not that I slept but a wink the night before we left!! We were up at 4 a.m. and Greg drove us to my parents, who took us to Minneapolis to catch our flight. It was at 8 a.m. After a very uneventful flight, we landed at MCO at noon. Headed to the "monorail" and went over to catch Magical Express. I don't think we have ever waited for more than 20 minutes for ME in the past-this time, the line snaked around 3 times and we waited for over an hour. People were VERY crabby in line, talking about the "Monsterous Express" and the "UnMagical Express". I forgot to mention that Evan began coughing quite a bit earlier in the morning, and didn't have much of an appetite (odd for him). By the time we hit MCO, he had a fever and I, of course, had packed the Tylenol in the checked luggage... I just wanted to get to CBR and get to the room.

We finally arrived at CBR at 2:00 and our room was not ready. That's okay, I know check in is at 3:00. I had done online check in, BTW, so I just walked up to the counter to get our welcome packet and KTTW cards. We headed to OPR, bought tylenol, and ate lunch. I called to see if the room was ready yet, no luck. (It was 3:00, the lady said to try back in 20 minutes) We decided to walk down to TS, and hoped by that time the room would be ready. Not yet-and I was informed by the man on the phone that even though check in was at 3:00, rooms are not guaranteed until 5:00 p.m. That was news to me, but whatever. The boys put their suits on and swam at the quiet pool, while I continued to call to check on the room.
The quiet pool at TS:
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/DSCF6798.jpg

The room was ready around 4:00p.m. We were in building 37, ground floor. I had requested building 34 or 35, but we ended up being in a great spot. We were steps from the pool and bus stop.
Drumroll, please......
The Pirate Room:

The room was so fun, nicely done!! CBR was all that I hoped it would be. I said in another post that all the hoo-rah about TS being sooooo far away from OPR is really overblown. It took us 5 minutes to walk there from the room, and we weren't even in a building close to TN. We did take the internal shuttle a few times, but could have walked there and back at least twice for the amount of time it took to wait for and ride the shuttle.

Did I mention that we ended up extending our trip by 3 days? And transferred to CSR, because there were no rooms available at CBR?? More on THAT excitement later! For those of you who have stayed at CSR~the walk to the dig site pool from the Casitas took as long as the walk to OPR from TS at CBR (for a distance reference)

Up next, MK, Tony's, and what I found in the shower....:scared1:

The pirate room looks so fun - did your boys just go crazy when they walked in?? So glad you started your trip report, can't wait to hear more! It's such a bummer that they can't have the rooms ready any earlier. For our June trip, we'll get in later, our flight arrives at 7:08pm, so we won't have any waiting to do.

So let me guess... what's in the shower?? A snake, spider, huge hairball, dirty diapers?? :scared1:

We did Pirates and a few other things before heading to Tony's for supper. In the line at Pirates, we talked to the NICEST couple from England. The lady reached into her bag and gave each of the boys a chip and dale pin. This was just the start of kind things done for us by other guests!

Tony's-Evan didn't have much of an appetite, and neither did I-so we saved the TS credit for another time. I got a really good tomato and mozzerella salad, Evan had water and bread, and Alex had Pizza. I liked Tony's, but was bummed that I didn't feel like dessert. I was really looking forward to that Pistachio Creme Brulee:guilty:

We headed back to CBR to end our first day. I went into the bathroom, and the first thing I saw on the floor was this:
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/DSCF6553.jpg

That is a hairball and 2 dead spiders. So, yuck-but not worth spazzing about. I pulled back the shower curtain to hang up the boys suits, and THIS was in there:
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/DSCF6552.jpg

Yes-it is poo. I called housekeeping and asked them to come get it, as I was uncomfortable picking it up with ungloved hands. A gentleman shows up, picks it up with his bare hands, and says "okay, all gone". I got a whiff as he went past, and yes it IS poo. He was going to leave, when I told him that the tub needed to be cleaned, as we wouldn't use it when that was in there. I also asked him to clean the floor (and showed him the hair and bugs). He did all of this willingly. When we got into our room earlier, the housekeeper was still in there, and she seemed flustered to see us come in the door. She didn't speak english, so she went and got someone else who told us our room was done and we could make ourselves at home. I like to think that she just wasn't done cleaning our room-thus the yuckies.

Next up: Epcot and the mad dash to Soarin' (seriously, why do these people run? They look so silly!)

Our first full day was at Epcot. We could see the bus stop at CBR from our room, so that was great. Call me crazy, but I loved hearing the busses come and go! We were at the park each day prior to park opening, which worked out great. We were a couple hundred people back from the rope (by Innoventions heading to Soarin'). The park opened and people RAN (seriously, people:sad2::eek:) to Soarin': Here is the pic of the "herd":
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/DSCF6554.jpg

We got in line to get fastpasses. Of course, I chose the line that had the woman with 20 tickets, getting fastpasses for her whole party! At this point, Evan started the pee-pee dance.. I swear, it doesn't matter if we went 5 minutes before-it never fails! The lady in front of us was so kind and told us to go ahead of her. Another demonstration of guest magic:wizard: We then hightailed it (walked, no running!) to the bathroom, and on with our day. We did TT, MS, SE, JII, Nemo, Soarin', and Maelstrom all prior to our 12:00 lunch at San Angel Inn in Mexico.
I know San Angel is not well loved on here, but I do like it for the atmosphere. The boys had quesedillas, I had enchiladas and great bread pudding. I took a picture of our chips and salsa, because I thought it looked like a Mickey head..Is it supposed to?

Whoa..that is a large picture of my head!
Anyway-our meal was good, and ended with the server being sure to point out what the expected tip is on the receipt..uh, okay.:rolleyes1 We rode Gran Fiesta Tour, where I realized they had not given my KTTW card back to me at San Angel. We went back to the restaurant and the server insisted he had returned it. We went to guest services and I got a new KTTW card lickety split. While I was doing this, my son was run over by an ECV....That will begin my next segment:thumbsup2

I had to laugh about the pee pee dance. My DS3 did it to me while we were waiting in line for Halloween Mickey. Nothing you can do about it but dash to the nearest potty!! :rotfl:

Your Epcot day sounded fun. I'm trying to decide about our lunch at Epcot, between Teppan Edo and San Angel. Did you really like San Angel?? I read that there is a volcano inside, is it just a picture or a sculpted decoration? Just wondering which place my boys would have more fun at. Did you do the ride in Mexico??

We stayed at POP last year. When I was researching it, I found all kinds of horror stories (even involving poop:rotfl:) about POP too. I think people are just more apt to report the bad, and not the good! I TRULY, believe that the mousekeeper was not done cleaning our room, and that is why we found those things. Our stay at CBR was wonderful! The resort was great, and all of the things I had read on here that were negative did not happen for us. I just want to stress again, that the whole TS being so remote is just not a factor. I commented on a couple of threads recently that the walk to OPR from TS was no greater than the walk from the Jukebox section of the 50's at POP to the bus stop. Ask away with any questions-I am happy to answer! I have a friend staying at CBR in August, and I was glad to report back to her how much we loved it!

We did like San Angel. It overlooks the volcano scene from the Gran Fiesta Tour, which is so pretty with the pyramid and erupting volcano. It it not a picture, it is a whole scene. I wish I had a better picture, but it turned out really poorly. I know they are closing down to rehab sometime soon...

We haven't done Teppan Edo, so I can't comment on that. I know, next time, I want to do Marrakesh (sp?) in Morrocco. Their kids menu looked good and the boys would love the belly dancers:rolleyes1

As mentioned previously, Evan got run over by an angry lady (I thought it was a man, but they both say it was a lady) in an ECV while I was getting my replacement KTTW card. She (he?) was upset about something at Guest Services at Epcot and spun around and accelarated over Evan's foot. Mumbled "sorry" and kept going out the door. He was limping, but we determined that it wasn't serious enough to go to first aid. He bounced back after awhile.

This brought to mind all the hot button topics that I read about on the Dis, but have never encountered before (or maybe I just wasn't as aware of them?) We sure did this trip.

:)Brazilian Tour Groups. Saw them, didn't encounter chanting or line jumping, or anything that I have read about. It did make for one hilarious show at the Monster's Inc Laugh Floor, though:lmao:

:headache:Line jumping. Wow-we had 4 or 5 groups of 7-10 people push through on TT. I said something to a CM on the way out and got a shrug and "there's nothing we can do about it now" in response.

:cheer2:Cheerleaders. On the bus and that was about it. They seemed to clear out by the 3rd day of our trip. The cheering on the bus and skimpy outfits were not missed! There was one cheer group entering Epcot that had on S&Mish outfits. I just:sad2: and covered the boys eyes.

:idea:Flash photography on attractions. We spent one whole ride on POTC with the most annoying people behind us taking flash pictures, despite frequent requests to stop (by everyone on the boat) They said "we can take pictures if we want to" Again, someone said something to a CM and got the same response that we did at TT

It was evident everywhere that there are fewer CM's and the ones who were there were streched thin. I am a firm believer that life (and Disney trips) is/are what you make it. So we had a ton of fun, despite the things I listed above. I just found it interesting that we noticed these after reading so much about them on here!

We spent the afternoon of our Epcot day 2 at CBR enjoying OPR and the beautiful walk there and back.

After a fun afternoon at the pool, we headed back to Epcot. Since we didn't use our TS the night before at Tony's, we had an extra one. I was able to get us in to Biergarten for dinner. On the walk to Germany, we stopped at the African Outpost to play the drums. These pics crack me up.

http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/DSCF6582.jpg

There was also a really fun climbing thing in WS for kids 6-12. The boys loved it. We got to Germany early and were seated right away. We loved the music and the "Zicke Zacke Zicke Zacke Hoi Hoi Hoi!" This is a high energy, fun place for dinner. The boys made a friend at the table next to us, and I got to talk to adults for a while. OT, but one day, while at WDW, Alex said "Mom, you sure have alot of friends here!" I laughed, because I would strike up conversations with people in lines and on the bus. I tell you, being with 2 6 year olds for 10 days makes you desperate for adult conversation:laughing: Anyway-Biergarten pics:

We walked over to Japan to buy some swords that the boys had spotted. I swear, the baggage screeners at the airport must have been like "What the heck??" when they screened our luggage on the way home. We had pirate swords, samuri swords, light sabers, pirate guns..
We found a spot to watch Illuminations by England. The boys hadn't seen Illuminations before, so I was excited for them to experience it. While we were waiting, a young woman (early 20's??) came up to me and asked if we were staying awhile. I told her yes, and she handed me a Disney Dining card. She said "we leave tomorrow morning and won't be able to use this. There is about $20 left on it if you want it.." :wizard:Wow! I called the next morning to check the balance on it, and there was $35! I must admit that I used most of it on fru fru pool drinks...(Do not worry! I didn't get hammered while at WDW with my kids by myself. :rotfl2:)

I'll leave you with a couple of Illuminations pictures. Don't I look like a pack mule?? The Disney messenger bag was great! I never got a sore neck or back from it:thumbsup2

Sounds like your attitude about the rule breakers helped you guys to have a really great time.:thumbsup2
I love the theme night thread! We will be starting back up soon:thumbsup2
We DID love CB!! They took care of the poo ASAP, but I was :scared1:
Thanks for saying hi!!

Cool - Biergarten looks so fun!! What a fun night you had, and how lucky were you getting $35 on the Dining Card!! I love it when people pass on some happiness. I had to laugh at your comment about swords, lightsabers and all the weapons -- my boys have a closet full too. Aahh, the joy of boys. Enjoying your trip report so far.

Yeah-they literally filled the suitcase, I was glad I had brought another bag for checked luggage, just in case! When we were at supper at Biergarten, I heard them telling the lady at the next table that "we have lots of weapons at home!" She was like..."okay...":lmao:

Thank goodness for my early risers! Now this is the only time I will say this, as on an average Saturday morning, the 6 a.m. wake up is NOT appreciated:rolleyes: We were at the park pre rope drop and got to see the opening "show" at each park. I am glad I had my big shades on, because, yes-I cried as the train chugged into the station. "Good Morning, GOOD morning :rolleyes1" Loved it:yay:!

Our SOP was to hit Buzz first, then get a fastpass for later. We then headed to the 2 mountains that were open, rode, and got another fastpass. We did quite a bit of crisscrossing the park, but we never waited more than 10 minutes for anything and it was great! Oh, and the teacups...Blechhhh:sick:I took a couple of pics, then covered my eyes for the rest. (This coming from the girl who jumped out of an airplane..but those spinning cups...!)

We had lunch at Cosmic Rays, which I haven't been to in FOREVER. I kept reading about the lounge singer, but couldn't picture him. I was thinking more robot (ala Timekeeper) than alien.

http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/DSCF6638.jpg

The boys were so fearless-it is so funny to watch them ride the coasters with their arms up in the air the whole time.

We headed back to CBR and enjoyed the pool and beach again. More pics to follow!

I know I said it before-but we just loved this resort! I know we will be back and I am so glad we experienced it.

The kids meals at OPR came in sand buckets with shovels, so those were great for the beach. I loved how each village had it's own beach and playground! And we could see the Illuminations fireworks from OPR-it was so cool!

Oh am I loving this trip report! We are heading to CBR in a Pirate room the end of June. I have not told my boys(6 & 3) about the room, I figure it will be their surprise! Question for you about the buckets and shovels, do other guests leave them so the other kids can play with them? We were recently at BC and there were a ton of those green buckets and shovels everywhere for the kids. They loved it and I was wondering if it was the same there, or if I had to covet them when we purchased them?

Amelia, my middle child, got a meal in a sand bucket at TL last trip that she thought was DA BOMB! I'm pretty sure we left the bucket. It would have been very hard to take on the plane.

:wave:Hi!!
I never noticed any buckets and shovels around. With the exception of tons of towels at the big pool, I never saw things laying around or community toys. The did have sets of cute sand toys at the resort gift shop and DTD that seemed fairly compact.
Have fun at CBR-it is so nice. People say a "vacation within a vacation" and I totally agree!!
Thanks for stopping by!:goodvibes

We got to DHS waaaaayyyy early (didn't realize it was so close to CBR). We were right up at the turnstiles and got to the park to wait ahead of the pack. They did the little preshow, stressed "no running", and BAM-we were off to TSMM. Run!! Run!! oh, that just drove me crazy-but whatever! We got there and got in line. There were CM's yelling "your whole party must be together, you will not be able to join your party in line!" We walked through the queue-very cute!! I just loved this attraction-it is so hard to describe, and make it sound as fun as it is. We got done and got FP for later. The return time at 9:20 was 12:15-1:15, if memory serves.

Rock n' Rollercoaster was another story. They just made the 48" mark (and were measured-and remeasured each time) and LOVED it! The CM's seemed a little :confused3 about checking the safety harnesses-I was behind them yelling "push up on the harness!! Push up! Is it secure??:rotfl:. I spent the whole ride imagining one of them whirling off into one of the neon signs. RNRC is the new fave!

We had lunch at Sci Fi. The boys got giant Oreo Milkshakes with their lunches. We have been here before, but this time they were freaked out by some of the movie clips..Sometimes, I just don't get what makes them tick. Anyway, our server was so-so. Here is our Sci Fi pic that is fit to post:

Love the pictures of the pool and the beach! Did your boys go on ToT? I'm wanting to take my 2 boys for the first time on it in June -- were they scared? Any tips to make it more bearable?? RnR roller coaster looks so fun!

Can't wait to hear about Jedi Academy. My DS6 got picked for our first trip and loved it. I think our chances of getting picked during SWW will be much slimmer with the heavier crowds.

They did do ToT. They still don't like it. The first trip-they were 4 and went on it. When we got done, Evan said "That ride was NOT for kids!":rotfl: and wouldn't go on it the next year. Alex went when they were 5, and didn't want to do it again, but they both tried it again this year and still didn't like it. IDK-they love RNRC, which I would think would be freakier, with the 0-60mph launch! So, I guess I don't have any good advice-but I know there are tons of young ones who LOVE ToT..

That wasn't very helpful, huh??

(I was out waiting with two sleepy kids outside) We wanted to use up snack credits in there, but it was so busy in there and we just couldn't deal with the crowds (and me pushing a double stroller around wasn't fun)

I decided to try 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, then planned on taking the monorail to Epcot. I thought the buffet was pretty good. I wouldn't mind going back and trying dinner sometime for the Lady Tremaine and stepsisters experience. Evan was not thrilled about having his picture taken with the ladies (as you can tell..) but Alex was a trooper. The Mad Hatter was so funny. He and Alice both asked the boys if they were the Tweedles and which was Dum and which was Dee.. I would think that the Mad Hatter would have a HUGE headache at the end of the day from crossing his eyes so much.

Seriously-you have to try the Kim Possible Missions: They are so fun (for anyone!!) I loved getting into the countries and seeing things I had never seen before. Over the course of the week, we did Norway, China, UK, and Mexico. If you have youngish children, I recommend doing the mission earlier in the day so they don't poop out. You can pick up a ticket at Innoventions that tells you where and when to get your Kimmunicator.

We had a late lunch at LeCellier. It was so good! We had the best server (Laura) of our trip here and a good meal. OMGosh..the pretzel bread.."What boys, you don't want any?? Well darn-I guess I will have to eat ALL of it.." I got chicken (why would I eat steak at a steakhouse??) the boys had some random kids meal (same thing every day, it seemed) and for dessert, I tried the Campfire S'mores (is that what it is called??) Holy sweetness. Marshmallows dipped in chocolate rolled in sprinkles on top of a chocolate covered graham cracker on top of ice cream on top of another graham cracker:scared1: You get the idea..

What's that you say? There is a kid's club for kid's 4 and up who are potty trained? In 2008, Alex and Evan went to the Sandcastle Club at the BC while my mom, grandpa, and I enjoyed a nice dinner at Tutto and enjoyed the F&G displays. The boys loved the kid's club and were sad when it was time to go. Fast forward one year-hmmmm. A night to myself, smack dab it the middle of the trip? It's a done deal! I signed them up for the Neverland Club at the Poly. They get supper, and video games, and movies, and toys, and, and, and! The check in desk was so cute, it looked like a bed in the Darling Nursery (I didn't get a pic, darn!) and then the kids "fly through the window" into Neverland. If you are comfortable being parted from your child(ren), I HIGHLY recommend it!

On the way back over to Epcot on the monorail, I shared the car with a family whose little girl was just having a meltdown. "I want to go first!!! I want to go FIIIIIRST!!" Now, I am all about sympathy and not judging in these situations, because we have all been there, right? So I asked the mom (who looked frazzled out of her mind) if she wanted to move her closer to the door (where I was standing) so she could go "fiiiiirst:laughing:" The mom said "oh, she wants to ride in the front of the monorail. I am SO SORRY about this!" I told her that I had just dumped my kids at the kids club, and could feel their pain:rotfl2:. They were very jealous:lmao:
We unloaded at Epcot and they told me to have fun. A little while later a heard this "Ma'am?? Ma'am!!" behind me (er, ahem-I should say at this point that I was younger than this couple, so I technically am not a Ma'am:snooty:j/k) It was the same woman from the monorail. She gave me a fastpass to Soarin' and told me to enjoy a peaceful ride for them. They then proceeded to race off to an enjoyable dinner at Le Cellier (I am sure:rolleyes1)
I wandered WS, had something fruity and alcoholic, something French Bakeryish (those French girls are just sooo :rolleyes2-or is it just m?), and something Chineseish. I also took flower pics, which you can skip, if you wish:flower3:

Ooh, your evening sounds perfect.:thumbsup2 Fun was had by mom and sons. What could be better? The bonus was that you then came back refreshed and ready for the rest of your week. (or so)

You should definitely save the picture of the boys inside the frilly white curtain for graduation.;)

Ha! I didn't think about that!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for reading!! In your honor- Day 6!!

We got to AK pretty early. Once we got in a minimal line-you guessed it "mom-I HAVE to go the the bathroom". So we got out of line and by the time we got back, the line was waaaay long. About 8:45, they said "Should we open the park early??" Well, you can imagine the response!

http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/DSCF6738.jpg

We went right to EE and walked on. The boys had agreed to give it another try, but spent the whole time worrying about when they were going to see the Yeti,so they didn't really enjoy it. We went and got FP for the safari and headed to Tusker House for breakfast. I will say that we will never do a later breakfast again. We had a 9:25 ressie and were seated at 10:00. By the time we got out of there, it was 11:00. It just kind of blew the whole morning. We didn't have good character interaction either. Goofy skirted our table (we were sitting there) and went to all the tables around us. I asked a server if he would be coming back and was told "I bet you are next" Well, he never came back. I mentioned it to our server later and she went and talked to the handler, who said we weren't at our table at the time.. In the meantime, Alex fell off his chair in excitement of seeing Donald and hit his head HARD. A huge goose egg popped up. He was a trooper and tried to be brave for his pic with Donald. You can see the residual tears.. Goofy eventually came back and we never saw Daisy (same story with her-oh well. We were just ready to get out of there!)

I will edit this with more info later, but I need to teach in a few minutes and need coffee first!!!:surfweb:

Okay-I'm back. Originally, we had an earlier breakfast time and I lost it when we switched our AK day from TU to TH, so I took the 9:25. NEXT TIME, I will only do early ADR's for breakfast!!
We did the safari, which was great. And the boys love Kali River Rapids-but of course, who is the one who gets soaked?? That's right! Me! We headed to Dinoland to give Primevil Whirl a....whirl (they loved it), passed over Dinosaur, spent time in the Boneyard, did the Bug's Life (screaming, frightened children aplenty) and headed back to CBR for some downtime.

Kali queue detail:

Now-I had the boys scheduled to go on the CBR pirate cruise on day 7, but when I asked them earlier in the week if the wanted to do the cruise or another park day, they chose the park day. They had done the GF pirate cruise and loved it, so I was surprised.
Coming up next-Day 7 MK, Move it-Shake it!

Yes-he got quite a few stares, walking around with an ice filled rubber glove on his head:laughing:But it did help the swelling! I was just so thankful he didn't split it open!!

I love all the character meals, you got some great pics! We're going to try 1900 Park Fare for the first time, so I was liked seeing the pictures and hearing what the boys thought about it. My boys loved TH too. You're right about a late breakfast taking up most of your morning touring time. We've got our TH scheduled for 8:15am, hoping to get out of there for the 9am rope drop to get onto Safari. Can't believe your son got a big bump on his head - poor baby - I bet that hurt!! You're pics are getting me excited to go in 2 weeks!!!

We were at MK pre rope drop again today. Still loved the show and hid behind my sunglasses (so the boys didn't ask me LOUDLY why I was crying:sad1:). Our last day at MK until the next trip. We went in, did all we wanted to do, and got FP for when we returned later. We ate an early lunch at Pecos Bills, the site of my bloody nose faucet last year. (Alex was sitting on my lap and excitedly turned around and headbutted me just right that I got a gushing bloody nose, right in the middle of the restaurant. Ahhh, the memories.) Anywhoo-I digress.

We were headed down Main Street, when we saw a Main Street Character on the sidewalk. We stopped to watch her, turned around, and here came the Move it, Shake it parade! We do not usually line up to watch the parades, but lucked out and watched it right from the curb in a great spot!

Have I mentioned that EVERY DAY has been beautiful?? Just perfect weather! As the boys are swimming at the quiet pool by our room, I am talking to DH on the phone. I tell him that we are so sad to be leaving tomorrow and are just having a blast. He says "why don't you stay an extra day?" OMGosh...should we?? :scratchin He gets online to see what is available for flights. The only flights are a minimum of $322/person:scared1: Oh well, we have had a great trip. We say goodbye and I go back to my magazine. My phone rings, it is Greg. He says "You know, there ARE flights on Monday for $95." Could we?? Do we dare?? "Book it!!" I say. I am so excited, and nervous. I am such a planner, and to make a spur of the moment decision like that is SO not me! I cannot wait to tell the boys:thumbsup2
We head back to MK for the evening and our dinner at LTT. I love the food at LTT, but our service is just sub par again. I did have a nice time chatting with the hostesses there-they were very friendly. After supper, I sat the boys down and told them the news. 3 more days at Disney!!:wizard: Needless to say, they were thrilled!

We took the last raft to Tom Sawyer Island. It was so pretty, and the boys loved Fort Longhorn (is that what it is called??)

Coming soon....Hola CSR!!!

Hip Hip Hooray! Three more days at WDW and not planned at that. Truly magical. What I wouldn't give to add extra days to our trip. Our first stay started with just 5 days. Then it went to 7 days. Then it went to 10 days and I would stay more if I could. But, when you work in a one paralegal/one lawyer office (notice I put them in the order of importance:rotfl:), I just can't get more days off.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the CSR and how a CBR lover liked the stay there.

I read about people who take 3 week or month long vacations at WDW and just drool!!! Someday, right??

We were up and at 'em early, as bell services was coming to do our luggage transfer to CSR and we wanted to be at Epcot at RD. We were sad to be leaving CBR, as we really loved it-but excited to try CSR. It had been 10 years since I stayed at CSR, and at a different point in my life-so I was excited to experience it with the kids!
We spent the day at Epcot, did some more Kim Possible missions. We sent this picture to daddy saying we missed him, his response was "yeah, right!" lol

Okay-that is an AWFUL picture of me, but the boys look cute:rotfl:

We headed to CSR around 2:00. I liked that the bus stop for CSR was closer to the park than the CBR stop. We got to CSR and checked in. Our room was in Casitas 3, top floor. I stayed in Cabanas last time, so was glad to try something different. We got to the room, which was one of the newly refurbed rooms:
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/0502091517a_369765.jpg

Oh-it was so pretty!!!

Here are some other pictures of the Casitas. It seemed like every time we turned a corner, there was another beautiful fountain, or landscaping:

This was the quiet pool near our room:
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/csrpool.jpg

The Dig Site pool was great. The kids loved the waterslide and I loved the Pina Coladas:thumbsup2 There was a great playground, but the sign said it was for kids 2-6 and under 45", so they were too tall (more on that later). We really liked the arcade too!

http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/pina.jpg

We really liked CSR too. Honestly, you always read all this hoo-rah about how big CBR is and how long it takes to get to Old Port Royale, but it is all relative. We were in the furthest village from OPR at CBR, but it didn't take us any longer to walk to the pool at CBR, than it took us to walk to the Dig Site pool from Casitas at CSR.

Things I liked better about CBR:
:thumbsup2 Our room was VERY quiet. We never heard our neighbors and they never heard us (I asked them!) At CSR, I heard alot of outside noise and people talking in the room next to us. No big deal-I wear earplugs on vacation.
:thumbsup2 The food court at OPR. Now-the food at CBR wasn't awesome, but Pepper Market just didn't do it for me at CSR. I didn't like the whole being seated, and having to tip at server for a CS meal. We didn't discover Cafe' Rix until we were running to the ME bus on our last morning.
:thumbsup2 There was a table and chairs in our room, which was helpful since we ate most breakfasts there. CSR just had a desk.

Things I liked better about CSR:
:thumbsup2One word-Gelato!!! They have Gelato!!
:thumbsup2They have a spa! If only I could have used it:laughing:

I would stay at both resorts again, as they are equally beautiful and well themed and unique in their own way!!

Coming up-An insane RD crowd and our last full day!

We joined the throngs heading to TSMM, and were out of there by 9:20 am. We went to RnRC, rode it-got a fastpass for later, then stopped into Starring Rolls for some breakfast. Gosh-I LOVE pastry, it is my undoing... We spent the rest of our time at DHS doing all we wanted to do, had lunch at Pizza Planet (don't understand the hype about this place, I thought it was meh, and could be SOOO much cooler) and went back to CSR. Bye DHS!!!!

We spent the rest of the day at the pools, arcade, and playground. The sign at the playground said it was for children 6 and under AND under 45". There was no one else there, so I let the boys lay for a while ( I know, what a rule breaker!!)

http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii53/jngwright/DSCF6837.jpg

We packed up and were ready when bell services came to get us in the morning. We had the craziest ME driver taking us to MCO. He was just nuts!! We had an uneventful flight back to realityland, where DH met us at the airport. The boys were so glad to see him (well, I guess I was too!!) and he didn't get a word in edgewise the whole way home!

So, that's it! Thanks so much for reading! We had a fabulous time, and can't wait for our next trip. Right now, it is looking like fall of 2010 for MNSSHP.
