I'm torn between these two choices for my family: Beach Club Villa Studio with the DDP or the Carribbean Beach Resort pirate room with the Deluxe DDP. The second option would be about $200 more?

Our family consists of me, DH, DD17 & DD14. We have never stayed deluxe. This may be DD17s last trip since she will graduate from HS next year. We really like the look of the Beach Club and love the location. We are going in July, so Storm Along bay would be nice. They know nothing about possibly staying here. It would be a surprise. They all think we are staying at Coronado.

I think the family would also like the CBR pirate room. We have an inside family joke about pirates and this would be a fun surprise. DH wears an eyepatch at home due to eye issues and the girls call him "patchy". Anyway, they know nothing about the pirate room so it would be total fun surprise.

We love to eat good food. But we are all relatively light eaters. We often share a couple meals or a couple meals and appetizer. But we could definitely find stuff for everyone at the restaurants I am looking at. We just wouldn't normally eat all that food. But it would be a treat.

I have it planned both ways. With the regular DDP I have all dinners planned. We would eat CS for lunches. I can have cereal, etc. in the villa for breakfast. With the deluxe dining plan, I basically have character breakfasts and then signature dinners.

Really, the only reason I am thinking about the deluxe is that there were so many restaurants we wanted to try that we couldn't narrow them down!

Help me out because I am going crazy. And I need to make ADRs on Sunday morning!!!!

Right now I have Beach Club villa booked for 7 nights with NO dining plan. I was going to add dining later when I decided.

With the ages of your kids, I'd do Beach Club with Reg. dining...just the location alone for BC would do it...Yes you'd have Deluxe dining at CBR, but it would take you twice as long to get to lots of those great restaurants VS BC where you can walt to Epcot and the Studios. Plus SAB with 2 teens in July....

I agree with the previous poster. We just returned from staying at CBR pirate room using the basic DDP and we thought just the basic was a substantial amount of food for us....almost too much when you factor in all the desserts and snacks. I would stick with the basic DDP no matter where you stay, but I guess I should say that would work best for my particular family.

As far as resorts, I think with the ages of your kids they will love the Epcot resort area and the boardwalk in general. The Beach Club is awesome, great restaurants all around, fun boardwalk, great pool, the list goes on. The CBR pirate room was very nice and brand new, but we actually found it to be very small for our family of 4 to fit comfortably. We like to unpack and spread out, and we literally had stuff everywhere. However, the room itself was really awesome and the CBR is beautiful.
