That was a fun day! I wish the weather had cooperated a little more so the snorkeling was better. The ride back was a great time especially sitting at the front where the waves came crashing over. It was the best day of the cruise in my opinion.

We loved this excursion!! The only bad part was people throwing up and the snorkeling wasn't that great!!!! My kids loved the waves splashing until it got a little rough and ppl. started puking. The ride back was awesome!!everyone was feeling better and dancing to YMCA coming into port was great!!!! Thanks for posting the pics!!!!!

Are June waters calm for this exercusion? My DS and I will be taking this excursion next week (Disney Magic 6/15 - 6/22/02)? I'm getting nervous about severe motion sickness.
Help calm my nerves! :p

Hurricane season officially started June 1st. It just depends on the luck of the draw. I hope the weather cooperates. You'll have a great time!

I agree it's the luck of the draw. The water was really fine and then we went thru just a little rough seas but it was enough to upset some stomachs(even mine)!! They have plenty of gingerale and trashbags. Once we got to land all was fine and coming back was incredible.

The pics are great Towncrier - looks like a wet ride! I know we'll have a great time! :D
Will a couple bonine pills help during the spots where we might hit some rough seas?
Can't wait to sail on Saturday!

Would this excursion be alright for my daughters who will be ages 5 and 8?

I don't suppose that bonine would hurt. A few of us used the sea sickness patches just in case. I didn't feel the least bit queasy although I must admit that the ride back to the Magic was quite bumpy. The ride back was my very favorite part of the excursion.

Ashley24-
We were on this excursion- our family is in the group photo- DD7 loved it!!!
If your kids are afraid they can sit 'inside' so they won't get sprayed with water. It is not really inside but just a covered area with benches. All of the children were required to wear life jackets while on the catamaran.

Thanks SC Minnie! DO you happen to know if there is an age requirement on this excursion? It looks like a lot of fun! Do you actually go to a destination or just a ride? Snorkeling is included, right? If so, can the kids stay on board with an adult if they don't want to snorkel? If there is a website to look at that will answer my questions, feel free to send me in that direction! Thanks!

Ashley, the snorkeling is included. You will sail to a location depending on the weather to snorkel. When we went last January the crew changed our snorkeling location because the sea was kicking up. I don't know if there is an age restriction. I didn't see it listed on the list of excursions that I have. The cost was $59/adult and $36/child

When you stop to snorkel you will be at a beach. Neither I nor DD snorkeled. When swam to the beach (with the help of life jackets that EVERYONE must wear)- I laid out in the sun and DD played in the sand.
I did notice that some people did stay on the catamaran while we were at the beach.
