First time to Universal - Discount Tickets???

Hi

This is my family's very first time to Universal. We only have one day (beginning of August) and will be at the main park, not Islands of Adventure. How do I get discount tickets? I don't want to pay full price if I don't have to? Also, any great tips????? What to see or not to see.....

I am interested in finding a way to get the best priced tickets. We are leaving Sunday for a week at WDW. We will spend the first three nights as part of a package deal for a timeshare in Orlando followed by three nights at OKW. We will receive two - two day passes for USF/IOA but there are four of us. I need two more two day passes. Do I just buy them at the gate? Thanks.
