Question on stateroom credit..

We sailed for the first time Oct. 6, 2001 (7 day). We rebooked on March 23, 2002 for another 7 day. Both are category 6. Should we receive the $200.00 stateroom credit? My TA really stinks! I will be penalized $25.00 per person I cancel. Not sure if this applies to transfers. I really wish I would have booked with Dreams again. I can never get a response from this agency.

The old castaway club rules for last year were that you had to rebook within 90 days of your last cruise -- so it looks like you did not rebook within that time frame and would not be eligible for the credit. The new rules currenty in effect require you to book your next cruise while on board in order to receive the stateroom credit. No castaway club credit is offered any more once you return home.

Thanks for the response Jody. I'm a little confused though. We had a 7 day booked for March 2002 and we qualified for the credit. At that time it was 180 days. I had to reschedule (again in March) to September 2002. I rescheduled (I thought) before they changed the rules.

You had to book within 90 days and sail within 18 months of the original cruise. That was how it was explained to me when I inquired with the Castaway Club when we booked our second cruise. We did fit the requirements and got the credit. As wovenwonder said, now you must rebook onboard to get the credit.

Thanks! My original ressie was within 90 days and was to sail within 18 months, I had to reschedule (due to illness). I was hoping the credit would stay with the ressie.

DCL will probably consider the rebooking a new ressie, therefore not applicable under the old Castaway Credit rules. The Disney Club is a possibility you could check out for a $50 shipboard credit, however.

Good to see you posting! So it looks like you are planning to cruise again. I am glad, and I hope you are completely recovered! I almost have my DH convinced to go March 13, 2004.
