We usually eat here on our first day and this year was no exception. We arrived early but there were empty tables and we were seated promptly. They have remodeled since last March and we were in a section that didn't exist last time. The Mickey in the photo shoot is also a different prop. Other than that it was pretty much par for the course--we got photos with the kids and Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald. My younger daughter who turned 14 on 4/11 got a cupcake with a candle in it. Personally I had prime rib, salmon, potatoes, rolls, and desserts. The prime rib is always good but it is never as warm as I'd like. The salmon was a new choice. The kids love the mac and cheese. This place is great for getting to see your favorite characters; the food is not really the main emphasis. If we'd been paying out of pocket we may feel differently (esp. with the holiday surcharge) but we all walked out stuffed.
My kids are older now--17,14,10--and it's fun to compare this year's photo to the first one when they were 2,5 and 8!

Thanks for the report. I had read on another thread that Disney was removing the carved beef from the buffets. But I am glad to hear it was still at Chef Mickey. That's one thing I was counting on eating!
