For those of us who are crazy Harry Potter fans to get together for the Half Blood Prince opening in July. Unfortunately mostly FA ppl will be there for it...

We should have a HP marathon the day before! Then the next day for the opening we should all go together! Flood the theater with CPs! haha

Let me know what you guys think

Oh man, I LOVE Harry Potter, and wish I was there for it. I was very mad when they pushed the release date by basically a year. I say go for it. There has to be plenty of HP fans on these boards. :goodvibes

I love Harry Potter too!! I'm not doing FA though so I guess i'll have to watch my Harry Potter marathon at home :sad1: I can't wait for the new movie I got to mugglenet.com everyday to look for updates and I got to harrypotter.com to see how the new theme park is going! :)

I'm a HUGE HP fan. I am so excited for the upcoming movie. Unfortunately, I won't be down until Aug. But I am up for seeing it again, once I arrive.

Also, I can't wait for the opening of the HP section in Universal.

I know!! I definitely can't wait for the HP theme park in Universal, its gonna be AMAZING!!!

I'm such a huge HP fan! I won't be down until August, but I can not wait for the midnight release. Also, my dad knows someone who works directly with the CEO of Universal Studios and he said that he talked to them and guess what! I am getting tickets for the Grand Opening of the Harry Potter Theme Park!! :banana::dance3::cheer2: They are just waiting for the official release (my dad told me they are arguing in the meetings over when the date it opens should be, lol) and once they do, they are going to send me a ticket! Yay!!! I'm planning to extend, so this is perfect!!!

i say we should have a double viewing, for when the Fall ppl come. cuz i might be switching. idk yet. i don;t want to, but thats another story

Sorry im fall ill be at home..but im really glad cuz my group dresses up and goes together. BUT NEW MOON IN NOV! Ill be there for that.

That's awesome! I'm not doing the FA this year, but I will be *hopefully* doing the FA '10, which means I get to be down in florida when The Wizarding World at Universal opens! *parties* Can't wait! :)

OMG! a few days ago i had a thought that me or someone here on the dis would start a harry potter thread. then i come online and here it is. but sadly i won't be there. the first part of deathly hallows should be coming out around the time of the fall 2010 program. so i'm sure there will be more oppertunities for future dcper's.

well remember, we can ask for certain days off. so i say we should all put in for those particular days. I just need to know who would be down for either midnight showings or for the day it comes out... it will make things a whole lot easier, cuz then we'd all have our tickets pre-ordered and we can all go together!

I know!! I was hoping to be down there when it opened but if its not opening till 2010 I guess I'll have to make another trip. I hope we'll be able to go into Hogwarts and see the common rooms and everything!:) I'm so mad I can't be there for movie night though:mad: but I have to go to summer school.

I try telling my BF that its fun going to the midnight showings but he's like...uh huh sure, lol. I went to the midnight release of one of the books...I think it was either Order of the Phoenix or Half Blood Prince it was so much fun! Same with a couple of the movie releases and Lord of the Rings too! Crowded but awesome b/c you can just feel all the energy off of everyone, lol. popcorn::

I went to the midnight release of Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows, and it just way too much fun! I loved meeting cool HP fans and I'm sad I won't be able to do it anymore.:sad2:

Yeah same! I went to almost all of them... well the last 3.. lol. I alwways celebrate Harry's Bday each year so to me it's like having HP opening night all over again

i love midnight version of anything. it's a lot more fun than just going into a store or going to see a movie during regular operating hours. plus that's when you see/meet true fans of whatever you're going to buy or see.

They even had a Twilight Midnight release at Walmart! I didn't even know they were having one my BF and I just stopped by to pick something up and it was just strange a little strange, lol.

hahaha I WAS AT THAT! it was so much fun talking to the crazy twilight fans! kinda mad though cuz then next day at work they had it for 17.99 with 3 discs... but it's pretty much the same as the second one with only having Rob and Kristen talking... kinda weird

Hey i didn't know about the park.. I'm glad i know now. I saw twilight for the first time sat. Now i know why my cousin is so crazy about it. It is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, I loved that book growing up! This is going to be a great year movie-wise!:thumbsup2

Sadly I only made it to one midnight release. The last Harry Potter book at Walmart....i was in Slytherin LOL. They gave out wristbands and put us in 4 lines, I was in the second line lol

I did the same for HP 7! Me and my friend went to the Walmart release in FL, and they also had the color-coded bracelets. I ended up with one each for Griffindor and Ravenclaw (I was in the Griffindor line, and I just liked the color for the Ravenclaw one).
