After being renovated and updated from the original store, Summer Sands, Tren-D officially opened at the DTD Marketplace on April 10th.
The store is themed after a small stylish boutique, which offers an eclectic selection of merchandise.
Tren-D is a specialty store that is a one-of-a-kind, one stop shop for fashion-minded shoppers who seek the latest trends. The store is filled with trendy apparel and accessories giving shoppers unlimited mix-and-match choices.
Many of the items here are not available at any other location at the WDW resorts
Tren-D is located near Pin Traders and Once Upon A Toy Company at the Marketplace.

Grand opening notwitstanding, DD and I had great luck here during our spring break the last week of March. DD found a really cute tissue weight Mickey t and strappy sundress. I bought a terrific slouch bag with hidden Mickeys in a lime green scroll print fabric with a coral colored embroidered Mickey.

Some of the fixtures were (I think) redone in layered decoupage treatment; they were very fresh looking and gave me something to look at while DD took forever and a day trying on said items above.

The clerk who rang up our purchases said they'd been open only days and had been quite busy.

I passed through it last week and it's a really cool store.

I also got to visit the (infamous) Hanes Design a t-shirt store and that was pretty cool too; so popular that there was a 3-hr wait to get a shirt once you put your order in.

I passed through Tren-D on the day it opened. Very much like a smaller Disney-fied Anthropologie. It's cute, but since I'm clearly not the target audience, It didn't hold much for me.

Which is my semi-gripe w/ Disney lately-the complete lack of men's clothing. Sure there are t-shirts (which lately look like they are reruns of 80's style tees), and the odd polo or hawaiian shirt, but that's about it. It's as if they have given up on men and are focusing solely on girls and young women.

That's the impression I get anyway.:confused3

I went into this store last month. It was heavenly! I literally had to control myself so not to buy everything I saw!

Yes, well said. It's been Disneys move for some time now. Both at the parks, resorts, and in their online store. They used to have a lot of men's dress shirts. Try to find something with a Disney logo these days......
