Apparently, the new restaurant, Paradiso 37, will be opening next month.
It will feature food from 37 countries in North, South, and Central America.
The restaurant, developed by E-brands restaurant group, will have live entertainment each night, and an extensive wine list, 37 kinds of Tequila, and and 10 different kinds of Margaritas. Sounds a bit like Bongos to me.
I know there was talk of this previously here on the boards, but I thought I would confirm the story.

All part of the "bold new family friendly" vision of Downtown Disney.

It's been under construction for a long time now. Since it's using an existing building that formerly housed the Missing Link Sausage Company, it's a matter of extensive renovations rather than all-new construction.

From the pictures that I saw, it looked to me that they are retro fitting the comedy warehouse for the new place. I could be wrong...

No, it's not where the Comedy Warehouse still is. It's on the side that The Adventurers Club is {was}, but further along on the left, walking away from The West Side.

Let's hope it is a bit better than Bongos--sounds like it will be. Food from "37" countries (if true) ought to make for an extensive menu. Let's also hope that have some good beer as well!!

And after this tasty margarita, daddy will let you have your very own cigar. Then we will sit on the Harley. ;)

They run Restaurant Marrakesh and Tangerine Cafe at Epcot and I heard about them because of a disAbilities board report on nonDisney foods. Marrakesh is notorious for having no understanding of what allergy free food is and has provided guests with white sheets that have most items crossed off. Chefs sometimes do not understand allergens there and different days will list one food safe then the next week another item as the only safe dish.
It is supposed to go into the Rock n Roll place at PI and was originally called LaDouble or LeDoubla. Something like that. It opens in May.

We have not seen an exact opening date announced yet.
The e-Brands website mentions 100+ job openings.
No word yet on participation in Disney Dining Plan.
Definitely going into the MLSC building, not RRBC.

Sounds interesting. I would love to find a place in WDW that makes good margaritas.
