Well, congratulations! Too bad I'll be back at the workshop by time you arrive, I'd have loved to meet you, but thanks for the heads-up that you won't be at home for deliveries on the night of the "big dance"!

That's great. We will be there from the 17th thru the 27th. We'll definitely have to swing by and say hello. :santa:

I have a downstairs bedroom full (and I mean full) of decorations and my husband is freaking out wondering how we are going to get everything down there (since the golf cart will be in the back of the pickup). :confused3 We'll figure it out somehow I'm sure.

We've never been to the Fort for Christmas- this is our first year at the Fort in general- but I've heard its amazing with all the decorations and everything... I can't wait to see it! I was so excited that we were able to get a site at all for that week!

Matt is probably gonna flip when I decorate the house and still decorate the campsite!!!! Though I think I'll do more at the campsite since we will actually be there for the big day...

Anyone have any pics of sites decorated for the holidays?

There are a ton of pictures of sites decorated for Christmas (I know because I scrolled through all of them). I'm sure someone will give you the links. I got lots of great ideas for decorations to make.

Our first trip was Christmas 07 and I thought I had brought lots of decorations and boy was I surprised. So this past Christmas I did a ton of shopping at the After Christmas Sales and I think I have enough but I'm always on the lookout.

I decorated some at home, put up a small tree and we brought a 4' tree with us for the campsite. Oh and don't forget to decorate the golf cart as well!!

We have never been at the Fort for Christmas, but intend to be there one of these days. We want to go and stay at least 4 weeks in December, probably in two years.

Here are some threads with Christmas décor: 1 (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2024058), 2 (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2042433), 3 (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2038110), 4 (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2036098&highlight=christmas+decorations). Hardly exhaustive, but a good taste.

I have Nov 28 - Dec 17 reserved, but will likely trim some days from that. I am sure (assuming we can go at all) that we'll be there the 7th thru the 10th, as those are days Mom has reserved to join us. That said, it is a little late to be getting the lists in... I prefer to be done with production and to have the boys in the shop in gift-wrapping mode before I head out for my Disney break (that doesn't require much supervision). But that's fine, we always get a few late lists and do our best to accommodate! I'll sure look forward to meeting you folks.

Disney is nuts at Christmas. We went in 2006 and the crowds were horrible. We went back in Dec 2007 - Jan 2008. We went to the parks one time between Christmas and New Years and it was awful, we left after a few hours. Some days the parks were closed by 10 am because of crowds. We went back Jan 3rd and it was a ghost town, you could walk on all the rides.

Fort Wilderness is great at Christmas, but the parks are a nightmare. Here are a few pics, I will try and dig up some more.
