We are headed to the fort in July. We have requested loop 300. It has a comfort station and a playground. We will have a golf cart. I want as quiet a loop as exists. Last trip we stayed in loop 500. It was great, but I think having the playground right there would help us let the kids walk there.
We are a family of 6. We like to cook breakfast outside and plan on being at the camper for a mid day break. The golf cart will get us to the pool and bus stops.
I think I saw someone recommending other golf cart rental places than the bike barn. I didn't get all the info, just a little hint of the info. Anyone have any other info on that it would be great.

What did you pay for? The 300 loop is preferred as is 100 and 200 loop. 300 is also a pet loop, so you may have a few barking dogs.

We love the 300 loop, but I wouldn't consider it amongst the quietest at FW. It's a pet loop for one, so the potential for a barking dog here and there exists and you're also pretty close to the Settlement area, which means you're going to get....
...the horns off the boats bright and early (and late!)
...the music from the Electric Water Pageant every night
...FIREWORKS!
Depending on what site you're in, the ones along the "end" of the loop are quite close to the main road and the bus stop, and the ones along the "beginning" are pretty close to the playground and the road.
Good golf cart info., incl. info. on outside rental companies in THIS THREAD (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2067686).

We have stayed at both the 200 and 300 loop. Both are near the dock, marina, and trading post making it very convenient to many Fort attractions and almost making a cart unnecessary! There are dogs in the 300 loop, but not a problem while we were there. It is noisy being close to the lake and as others have said, you’ll hear boats, music, and fireworks.
We are looking at the 1900 loop for our next trip

FYI I just consolidated a bunch of golf cart info in THIS THREAD (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=31332309)

Thanks, This has all been great help. I checked out the thread. I also called Golf Cart Equipment. Looks like for the same money that I can get a 4 person cart from FW I can rent a 6 person cart from EGC. :cool1:
If you're looking for quiet, you might want to look at 1900. It's pretty isolated, but if you have a golf cart, its distance from the bus stop wouldn't be a problem.
