Goofy question

A friend signed up for the marathon after the Goofy was closed. Now the Goofy is reopened. Is there any way to transfer the registration fee to the Goofy? Or is he stuck with the marathon?

You can "upgrade" to the Goofy as long as there is still room (there is).
You need to contact Disney sports and pay the extra $$$$$$.

Cool thanks. As long as our friend can upgrade then my DH will run it in 2010 too!! He ran it in 2008. 2009 he ran "just" :goodvibesthe marathon and felt inferior when he saw all of the Goofy people.:confused3 :lmao:

For anyone who care.....our friend called Disney today and had to sign up/pay for the Goofy. Then he needs to take the receipt, send it in and ask for a refund on the marathon. They wouldn't let him just pay the difference.

Disney has changed this since 2006(and first Goofy). Linda and I signed up for the 5K and Marathon before we knew about the Goofy. We call and all we paid was the difference. This was also before they started charge more that the 2 separate races fees.

Maybe the will figure you will forget and they won't have to give you your money back. Just like all of those "Rebate" offers that people miss out on.

I just figured they made them pay for the Goofy and then get the refund for 1: they keep the money longer
2: it will make the accounting ALOT easier to reconcile.

With the number of runners I would think they were going for the simplest solution.
