Hi Everyone! Welcome to our new home.:goodvibes

Tomar: So sorry about Nana.:sad1: I pray that you get there in time.:grouphug: 2009 does not seem to be the best of years so far. I hope things will turn around soon. Just so much bad news.

EE22: Thanks for starting the new thread. I guess we finally got some attention!:rolleyes1 When did we start the last one, 2005 or 2006? Either case we have been running for a couple of years now. Nice how we have all remained friends through it all.

I think since 2006, but I'm not sure.

My adrs went great again this morning. No issues. The numbers are long...12 now, but giving them out at the end really does seem to go faster.

I hope everyone had a good day.

Tomar...you know your Disney buddies are saying prayers for you.

EE22: I am glad you got everything you wanted. So I guess they changed the process.:confused3 I started looking into what we want but waiting for those park hours still.:rolleyes1 I guess I have to wait until May 1. My hardest to pick is Epcot. Try something new or go with the favorates. I want to try new things but everyone wants lots of steak. Not too many options but I guess Tepan Edo and Le Cellier work. I have to find some other locations with steak on the kids menu. My kids won't eat mac and cheese and chicken nuggets get old fast.

Tomar - I am so sorry to read about your mom  Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Sending :wizard: that you are able to arrive in time to see your mom :wizard::wizard::wizard::hug:

EE22 - Congrats on the ADRs :thumbsup2 We are leaning towards going in Aug for DS's birthday (need a melting hot smiliey). This is during free dining so I need to figure out the dates of our trip and make a plan to be ready to call in to get the ADRs. We've had good luck in prior years during July but this is our 1st Aug - free dining time frame trip :wizard:

Thanks for asking about me wreck :goodvibes I am getting better every day, the trip to the ER - not so much fun.... I'm just thankful I wasn't hurt to bad. Lucky really compared to what could have happened :wizard:

Not sure about the kids menu - but the steak on the adults menu at Coral Reef is excellent. Actually my favorite steak in the parks :thumbsup2

Minnie...glad to see you are getting better.

TP2...I'm not very good with Epcot either. Le Cellier can be tricky, but I think if you are open to lunch or dinner times you'll do okay.

Don't forget about some of the places at the BC and YC for steak.

Once the May hours come out we can put our heads together for days to hit each park.:woohoo:

Hi everyone. I was surprised to see the thread closed but glad a new one was started. :thumbsup2

I went back and looked at the other thread. It was started by TP2 on 5-4-06.

Well things are difficult here these days. Work is so stressful and I feel I am falling into depression. I don't feel well (my stomach is not handling the stress well) and I don't feel like doing anything. I want to sleep all the time but I am not sleeping well.

I am sure eveyone can relate.

Tomar - I pray you get to see your dear mom before she passes. :sad1: It can be hard because you want them to hang on but I am sure you also don't want her to suffer. I will include you and your family in our prayers daily.

With FIL - I was sorry he passed while we were away but it was better since he had started to suffer and I did not want that for him. I still don't feel like we have dealt with it yet.

Otherwise, Happy Easter everyone.

Hiya everyone:yay:

Can't believe we got closed down. When I saw my emails / notifications thought we did something wrong, or where contraversal.:rotfl: But we are just long winded.:rotfl2:

Tomar:hug: Good luck with your flight. So so sorry. Thinking of you and your family. :grouphug:

EE22, Thanks for the notice.:thumbsup2 Congrat's on your adr's. :woohoo: You are right about the steak at YC / BC. **** if you don't want to dress up >> eat in the "bar" next to yachtman's [is a little cheaper too] >> you get the same meat.:thumbsup2***** We actually prefer it. More casual and friendly, not stuffy.

TP2, You might get lucky, but we where very NOT impressed with Canada this last time. Bug, has put her foot down and said that's it. They are off our list now.

Candi, sounds like post traumatic stress disorders. You made it through the hard part and then your left with depression and residual of what you are all going through. Grandpa, work lay offs and work stress, etc... .. All adds up and can come down on you quickly. Plus, the physical stress of travel on top of it. Get some rest, eat good, and try to relax. If it keeps getting worse, call your doctor. Hope your feeling better soon. I had this, after our hospital became open shop union > then some RN's went out on strike for 3 months. During our busy season. It was a terrible, hard time & alot to go through. The whole town was divided. Plus, the added stress of working. I did ok, at the time of the strike > then afterward, the same thing. I was tired, irritable, sleepy, no energy, emotional, ... . It took a while to clear up. But, it was a daily thing to deal with, and try to get over.

I called and did our adr's this am. That is an ordeal. I got up 1 hour early 4:45am > washed, dressed for work, and ready to go. At our 6am, I called immediately & was "on hold" for 10 minutes. Then got through and got everything we wanted. I didn't want anything hard except, the gardenview tea, and chef de france.

Anyone want to do a July pool, for ap rates? I am guessing 2nd week in may. :wizard:

mky:cutie:

candizfan
04-13-2009, 08:37 PM
MKY - you are probably right. I am trying to deal with it and see if it works itself out. I know if I go to the doctors it will be antidepressants he will prescribe and I would rather not but I will if necessary.

I just wish I could turn to liquor :lmao: :rotfl:but I am way too strict for that. :lmao: I have two rules. If you "need" a drink - don't and no drinking alone.:goodvibes

I was also a little worried about Bug when we met up with you. I think the stress of trying to get into meet us set off her attach and I felt really bad about that. :confused3 If I had only known we would have met up at your hotel.

Maybe Tomar and I will need a trip to Disney to recover. :goodvibes I just hope it all works out okay. Hang in there.

EEyorelover22

Candi...hope you are feeling better and can rest soon.

MKY!! Good deal on the adrs.
DD and I are doing the tea too. I went for 2:00. I think I'm going to just order some sweets ala cart because of my allergies and DD can get what she wants. Too many things I cannot eat so I will pick a few.

AP rates...someone rumored 4/20. That's not a good day:headache:
it is payday, but it's also national *** smoking day, anniversary of Columbine, and senior skip day. Didn't know if I could post the green stuff word...green when it grows...not idea in the form people use.:confused3

I'm going with 2nd week of May with you...history repeats itself although someone said they are 2-3 weeks ahead of norms. However, I think they are packed and the 4/3 deal sold a lot of rooms.

TP2: May 1st hours should be out:woohoo:

Tomar...continued prayers!

mky...I did the same thing. I got up at 5 am...took a shower and had my Cheerios and coffee...eating away by 6 am so I could leave for work right away afterwards. I didn't know how long it would take. The first part took a bit longer than the second bunch. I was able to do the second half our of split stay too all at once.

Candi, Bug's asthma had not settled down from the winter, and then we had just gotten into that weather for 1 day, she had not adjusted. Any weather changes and it sets her off for a while. We thought it might of been the cleaning stuff in the food court?, or the pool chemicals, sometimes just being near alot of chlorine sets her off to. She needs to carry her inhaler more. But, she did 2 treatments that night and was more settled in after about 2 days. No problem after that. One nite in august last year, the air was very heavy and humid, the fireworks set me off and could not breathe by time we got to the CR. Comes out of nowhere. :confused3 You never know.

EE22,
I so hope you like the tea. It is a fun and relaxing thing. Kinda different. Hopefully, the crowd there will be good. Sometimes they are a bit stuffy but we just ignore it and have fun. Remember, all teas are available in "ice tea" versions. i love the sandwiches have her try them. They are very good about allergies, etc... and always ask there. For Monday the 13th we got GF's cafe after 5pm. We thought about narcoosee's or the buffet, but like the cafe. Its a short trip for us, so we are just doing our favorites, nothing new.:wizard:

Hope everyone has a better week. mky:cutie:

DL11 and I will secretly make fun of the stuff shirts if we have too. She and I are also doing the Cafe for breakfast. We have that before the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. She is so excited. Maybe since she's 16 this year. I'm old....

13th...we are doing the buffet at Park Fare and then WISHES ON THE BEACH:woohoo:I think there may be some friends there that eveing:dance3:

Hi Everyone. Hope all is well. Seems like there has been so much bad news lately. :sad2:

Tomar  There is not much else to say. You are in my thoughts daily.

Candi and Minnie: Hope you guys are both getting on. Minnie: I also thought you were a wreck, not that you were in an accident. How awful. I hope you are doing better.

EE22: I hope you have good news. I can't take much else.

We had to change our dates once again. I am starting to feel like we will never get to Disney again.:scared1: I was trying to leave on Sunday the 16th but the flights are a fortune to travel on a Sunday so I switched to Tuesday. So now we are leaving on the 18th of August instead of the 16th. With only buying 3 tickets it was a difference of over $500. Now on a Tuesday I can purchase all 5 tickets, save our credit card miles, and still save a couple of dollars.

Hiya everyone,:wizard:

EE22, Your right, we are once again zipping along. New thread no problem. I was a good sister, and even let the bug know we got restarted.;)

Tp2, Hmmmm, I am so sorry. I know you have been waiting like crazy. :upsidedow But, knowing you >> you can offer up your over booked seats and get free tix for your next trip?:scared1: Or, did you guys consider driving? Would you get any extra time doing that? Driving down is not bad at all >> its the coming back part that is torture. pirate: But, we are once again considering for October. It would be so nice to have our "own" car there. I hate worrying about rentals etc... . From here: if we leave right after work 4pm should get to wdw at about 1pm if straight thru or after 6pm if stops. flying arrive anytime the next day. We are flying in july after i get off of work which will be an 8pm flight and with time change 12am landing? That makes for a long nite. But, coming home it is soooooooooooooo much nicer to get on a plane & car ride home.
Driving home, your already tired and certainly not excited about going home. :rolleyes1 But we usually set up to stop and get home with a couple of days rest at home. It will cut out up to 4 wdw days.:scared1: We usually toss the idea around and then wind up flying.

Tomar, Thinking of you.:grouphug: Hope your doing ok.

minnie, hope your feeling better soon. You have had a rough couple of years now.

Well, I can give some good news finally. :woohoo: Had my repeat upper endoscopy today and ulcer free [for now anyway]:rotfl: Yesterday, was mom & dad's 59th wedding anniv. :dance3: That is a long time. We went out to dinner. Mom, was pretty good yesterday.

Hope everyone, is enjoying there thursday, mky:cutie:

MKY: Wow!!! 59 Years!!! I will be married 13 and that seems long. 59 is a lifetime, that is for sure.

So happy you had good news from the doctor. Finally something good. Maybe this is the turnaround.

I have considered driving for a couple of reasons. After DD got sick 2 years ago I felt so trapped. If we had our own car we could have gone home at any time instead of staying there. Also, we would not have had to put her on the flight. Not to mention all the germs traveling on the plane. Plus we would have our car when we got there. Problem is DD10 gets car sick:sick: so not sure how 20 hours would work out. Maybe give her something to sleep.:faint: Plus DH thinks I am insane to even think about that long of a car ride with 3 kids. I look at it as an adventure.:scared: And I know you are right about the way down being easy and the way home being torture. That is always the way for us. The farthest we usually go is 10 hours. I was thinking of stopping midway in both directions. I would need to get DH onboard. Right now he is not there.

mkymouse4ever
04-16-2009, 04:04 PM
TP2,

:rotfl: I just tell bug, we will save $$$ on plane & $$$ on a rental car = up graded room?, or an extra trip somewhere? or $$$ toward her "new" car she is thinking about?

I say, best bet: keep her busy all day. > then leave at nite when dad gets home >>> then the sleep plan will work a lot better. The 1st 3 states from here are soooooooooooooooo BORING I can't stand it. Once we hit tennessee > it get's very pretty & you feel "on vacation" >> about then the sun comes up.:) Get through atlanta [ which is always a long process] then easy driving into florida.:thumbsup2 The reverse is :eek:terrible. By time we hit kentucky I am beat and still need to drive 9 hours.:rolleyes1

But, over 9/11 it would of been wonderful to have had our car. I would of left and came home before the hurricane. I don't feel comfortable till we are off the plane. Still nervous.

mky:cutie:

tripplanner2
04-16-2009, 04:13 PM
MKY: I am not comfortable on the planes either with the kids. And lately there seems to be so many plane crashes. I can't help to think that with all the cutbacks to save money because of increased fuel costs that they are skimping in other areas. Letting repairs and maintenance go longer than they should. Where when things were better, they would have invested in newer planes instead of using these old ones. Just an idea but I would not hesitate to drive one bit.

mkymouse4ever
04-16-2009, 04:32 PM
TP2, I agree. Especially where you guys fly out of. One time we took mom and dad with us. i thought this is scary we are all on the same plane. Does make you think.

mky

tripplanner2
04-16-2009, 04:58 PM
MKY: And the flip side to that is at least if we go down, no one has to suffer without the other. My mind goes to all these place.:scared:

Howdy...
planning again mky for October:goodvibes

TP2: so what are your dates now? did you have to shorten your trip then:confused3

It's been a long week here and I'm very tired. DS's track meet on Tuesday was over at 11 pm...he got home at midnight!!:scared1: Makes for a long week. DL11 qualified for the Drake Relays in Des Moines. If you do a search you can see what it entails.

So...that is good news.

Congrats to the parents mky!

Prayers to you Tomar.
I hope Minnie and Candi are doing okay.

04-16-2009, 06:32 PM
MKY: You crack me up!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

EE22: Still staying for 2 weeks just going 2 days later and staying 2 days later. I was shocked by the prices released on Tuesday. $167 one way and $190 back. That is per person. What happened to $44 each way??? On Tuesday we could get flights for $89 each way. And after reading the boards people said that Sunday flights only go up in price. I threw in the towel and spoke with DH about getting back a couple of days later. He said to save several hundred dollars?!?!?!? Of course. Got a great rate on a car rental though!

So glad for DD.:woohoo:

mkymouse4ever
04-16-2009, 06:49 PM
TP2, maybe you should fly southwest to chicago > and then take another plane to orlando. My flights where way cheaper. :lmao: how about that auto train thing? There is not one from here, but they look cool and your on the east coast?

EE22, you know me always planning,:surfweb::wizard:

mky:cutie:

EEyorelover22
04-16-2009, 07:13 PM
TP2: Who did you get the deal with for the car rental?

tripplanner2
04-16-2009, 07:38 PM
MKY: Looked into Autotrain. It was almost $900 and that was for SEATS ONLY. No sleeping car. There is no way and it takes 17 hours after we drive for 5. Not worth it.

You are right about flying into Chicago. I looked into flying with another carrier out of Islip and they are all gone.:scared1: That is why SW is so much more money this year. They chased the competition away. I am going to hold out and see what happens down the road. I am expecting $69 each way on a Tuesday during a sale. We shall see what happens.

EE22: I booked with Alamo. I was playing with codes and coupons for hours the last 2 days. Between Costco, Walmart, Workersadvantage, Entertainment, I can't even remember what else. But we are going to pickup the car on the evening of our arrival from the car care center and then drop it at the airport. I was getting hammered because we needed an extra 6 hours. The weekly rates were good but the daily rate was huge. Finally got it to work but my goodness, I had to work for it.

Hi everyone.

Not much to add at the moment. I guess since we are not planning another trip for a while, it does not give me much to tell.

MKY - did you ever let the ladies know of your adventures trying to get into the hotel. :lmao: You could tell it so much better than I could.

Just wanted to chime in with my congratulations to your mom and dad MKY.

EE22 - congrats to your DD as well. :cool1:

hello,

TP - i like the gf cafe for steak. they have a new york strip with red wine sauce. i like the flavor of the sauce. Mky dragged me to the yachtsmen steak house. the chef came out and wanted to double check with me that i wanted it butterfly and extra well done. he did not want to do that to a piece of meat he was cooking. not to mention everytime i took a bit of bread the waiter was there to clean up the crumbs. ask mky to tell you what did we wear there. i still make jokes of it.

ee22 - i always liked running track. i heard your dd likes donald duck too. when does school end there?

@ the tea, you can pick what sandwiches you want. i like the pear.

bye humphrey

ps mky have fun a work this weekend. bug

Hey Humphrey - The Yachtsmen sounds too uptight for my liking.

DD10 loves her steak and it can break me when we take her out to eat. She had steak about 4 nights on the cruise ship and was loving it. We may have to take her to the gf for steak if you liked it there.

Hiya Bug!
DL11 comes from DS liking Donald...as I really took her name as Eeyore is her favorite. She likes Donald too though.

DL11 took 1st place tonight in discus.
DS took 1st place in discus tonight and 1st place in shot put too.

Good night for the Family of Disney Fans:yay:

Hi Bug::goodvibes:goodvibesThanks for the info on Yaghtsman Steak House. That would never work for us either. We are not stuffy people. Maybe Crews Cup? I think that is the name. I had stayed at Yaghtclub many moons ago and remember eating in a restaurant that did not require reservations and was just outside of Yaghtsmans. It was way more casual and they still served steak.

EE22: So glad to hear about the kids.:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:That is amazing news. So wonderful to hear of them doing so well.

Candi: Hope you are starting to feel a bit better.

MKY: Sorry you are stuck at work. At least you are making money for that Disney fund!

TP2: If TRex is on the dining plan...their steak was great for DS.
Now the Rainforest Cafe' at AK should be on the dining plan:confused3DS had steak there and it was good too.

I got some great steaks at Hy-Vee from the Amana Colonies this week...COME ON OVER SUNDAY!!!:woohoo:mky and Bug might be able to after she gets off work...it's a bit closer.

EE22: Last time I checked, neither restaurant was on the plan. Rainforest Cafe is finally taking reservations but that is it. I think my kids would be afraid in there. Or I should say DD8 would be afraid in there.:rotfl: We tried going to the one in Niagra Falls and she would not step foot inside. Stood outside screaming. We still tease her for it.:lmao: Great parents, right!

Hiya everyone!

EE22, found pic's on another thread of kidani village & they also talk about the treehouses.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2126352&page=3

Will see you in the am on the watch thread. :thumbsup2 Do you think tommorrow is the day? I hate getting up extra early.:rotfl:
I found some info about the pirate cruise, sounded like something for little kids, but we are all little kids, aren't we.;):confused3 Said that mr. smee and hook come, & visit. Then they have pirate songs..... . kinda reminded me of when we sent max on the gf pirate cruise, on a morning one day. But, something to remember. Unfortunately, there is like 50 seats on the boat, so can everyone see the fireworks? Anyhow, that was the article I read.
I guess, it was a grand gathering thing and now open to everyone.
Are they dumping the "grand gathering" idea?

Has anyone else joined that 23 club? I joined, hoping for more discount opprotunities.:rotfl:

:laughing:No Hairy warts!!!

Thanks for the pics. We are staying in Jambo. I didn't want any construction while we were there so summer of 2010 will be Kidani. We are true Jambo House people so maybe we won't want to switch. There is no CS at Kidani. Looks wonderful though. The glass shower doors bother me...I guess they have two bathrooms though...I was thinking if someone was in the tub and someone in the shower...that wouldn't be too cool:confused3

Maybe the cruise is more for people with kids younger than us:laughing:

I am always up by 6 am...use to be 5 am, but I sleep in now. I'm always tired. I think it's a bit early for ap rates especially given the parks are packed and their discounts are already working. We shall see!!

MKY & Bug - the step sister theme would be a lot of fun I think.....wonder if my sister and I could pull it off too? :rotfl:

How many of you are going at the same time in the summer this year? That would be fun to have everyone there at the same time.

MKY - With the nicer weather, I am feeling a bit better, still not much energy and I am still completely stressed out at work...it is NUTS :scared:. One of the girls I have worked with for a very long time had a fit on me last week and I think it has pretty much killed the friendship. She can be very difficult and I just can't take the added stress to my life right now. Worse yet is that she will not appologize for being hurtful since see can't ever be wrong. :confused3:sad2: So I am giving the friendship some distance.

I sssssssooooooooo wish I was planning a summer trip? :sad1:

EE22, Mom is confused sometimes, so we just say " you know we told you we are going in july... She will forget and then we just say it again. Dad, just looks puzzled. Like did they tell us? They are the only ones who really we tell. At work, people are always asking, I just say soon.... So they drop it. If you tell them > no stopping the "WHAT!!!"
Had to go to work early today, so Bug, was in charge of calling @ 6am. Will be back and on phone tommorrow. :thumbsup2

EE22 - we had the bad weather yesterday. We actually had a tornado touch down in town. I bet it has been 20 years since the last one touched down right in the city.:scared1:

It did a lot of damage but to only a small area, thank goodness. I was doing dishes at the time, and the storm came and went so quickly that I was amazed.

All is well at my house so I am grateful.

MKY - how are the plans coming for July? Which days are you going? Katie wore her lovely Mickey necklace to her bowling banquet today and she even made a comment about my nice friends! :flower3:

We just arrrived home last night on the red eye from LA....and with a very heavy heart I have to say that my Mother Passed away on April 22,nd at the Kiaiser Permanente hosital in Panarama city:sad1: .....I actually missed it by 10 minutes we were so tired form staying each and every evening at the hospital until 12 and 1 in the morning.....we got there alitttle after 2 in the afternoon and she had just passed:sad1:....she was still warm:sad1:....I held her in my arms and was unconsolable :sad1:.....thank God for Mr. tomar ....he was truely my Rock these last 2 weeks.....we made all the funeral arrangements...she will be buried at Forrest Lawn.....it is a very beautiful resting place....it all seems so sereal to me right now...but I did want to know that I felt all your prayers and I was thiinking of you all as well......thank you all for being such great gals .......I will miss my mother more than I can say:sad1:....especially that mother`s day is around the corner....but I hang on all her loving words to me at the end of her life and I know how much she loved us all....all my brothers were at her bedside as well....and we at least had each eother to lean on......Nana was full of cancer at the end...her abdomen was filling up with fluid as fast as they were tapping it out....and in the end she just couldn`t breathe........I know my sad story must be putting a huge damper on all the excitement of your planning for the summer....I am so looking forward to being in peace for a while:angel:.......I`d like to especially thank EE22.......you ROCK girl...........and all of you that have shown your caring , conciderate ways thoughout this ordeal........you guys are all so wonderful !:grouphug:

I am glad your adrs are done:goodvibes
It's always so very odd that life keeps rolling along and yes, July will come and we will see the World together. It was my pleasure to help:lovestrucI think a couple of times you would have reached into the phone and hurt the CM. The Spoodles reservations were hard only because they didn't load them in the system. It would also seem that reservations at H&V are tough to get on any night.

We were in the basement too Candi. Just north of the school about 1 mile...tornadoes were sighted:scared1:

No you have not missed much here. Take your time reading when you feel like it. And anytime you want to talk, we are here. Do not worry about getting anyone down. :grouphug:

Candi, we are just going for a short "trial" trip. July 12th > 18th. We have not down the 1 week thing in years. not sure how we will like it. Just a quick fix. With the added bonus of being there with ee22 & tomar. :thumbsup2

EE22, yes, all weekend we had very bad thunder storms. Lots of wind off and on. Now, it is supposed to cool off back to the 50's. It has been brutally hot at work. No air on yet and high 70's outside and windows bolted shut.
I went in early to work again. Not really looking for overtime, but doing my fair share.:confused3 So, I missed the calling this am. Bug, said she called so we continue to wait.

MKY: It was 92 degrees here yesterday. All our summer stuff is packed away. I had a couple of things in storage under the beds but it was really only that last load of laundry that had a mix of summer and winter clothes.

I guess I have about 3 weeks before ADR's. I have to start working on a schedule. Been so busy with the house have not had much time to think about it. Looks like we MAY have a buyer. They are waiting on a federal grant which is supposed to come in by the end of April. We shall see what happens.:rolleyes1

Hope everyone is well and weathering the tornados.:scared:

EE22 - just one tornado here and it was very unusual for us. The wind in the morning should have been a tip off. We were in the yard and you could feel the wind change directions. Not sure why I am happy thou, got to work all weekend. :confused3 This coming week is going to be brutal. I have to do PALS [pediatric advance life support]. It is grueling. We have to re-cert every 2 years to stay current. I thought of NOT studying = so I could NOT work in the PICU.:rolleyes1 But think my boss is on to that game. You have a written terrible test & oral quizzing for 2 hours. So that will all go down on thursday. I haven't picked it up yet.

Instead, I choose to spend my afternoon scouring rental car prices.:rotfl: I booked for October taking the best deal out there. Compareable to last year and other prices, but nothing remarkable.

I saw the MNSSHP's listed and on sale. But all the AP discounts are sept dates with 2 in the 1st week of oct. :sad1: Was hopping for a little help with that.

So ladies...what is the day of the meet? With our house still being unsold, we may need to move the date of our trip because I am starting to fear that we will need to close around the same time of our trip. I think I still have a week or two before we hit that situation but we are getting close. If I change the dates, you know I want to make sure we are there to catch up with everyone. I keep saying that everything happens for a reason. Maybe we will be forced to change the date of our trip and I will finally get to meet you all in person. That would be wonderful. I have to hold out a bit longer but I am starting to weight my options. I guess we will wind up offsite because everything onsite is close to soldout or expensive because all the promotions are over, unless there is a room only rate in the wings. I guess I just have to hold out a bit longer.:scared:

EE22: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I did not cancel anything yet. I just started to figure out how long it takes to close and the fact that we still don't have a buyer. I had cancelled the Hotels.com deal awhile ago. DH keeps saying that we can't give up free dining. Even if it works out the same, there is something about the dining plan being free.;) I guess we just would not do as much and only pick a couple of favorate places to eat. I was looking into renting from Bonnet Creek if room only rates don't come out. I would buy an AP and build up tickets I have from a few years ago. I will give it a bit more time. I won't be able to get any ADR's at this point so it would be a wash.

We will probably offer low and they won't take it so then we will go with the number 2 house which is across the street from the other but needs a ton of work. We would pay less up front for the house and do work as we can afford it. Worst part is people keep telling us that this is the easy part (selling) the next steps are much more stressful.:scared:

I spoke with our real estate agent and she thinks that if we drop the price a little that people are sitting on the sidelines waiting for the price to drop and we will then finally sell. She says we should take our trip at the end of August, which is what we were planning so I guess I will leave things as is for now.

How is track going? I am sure you are pretty busy these days too.

Hiya everyone,

TP2, Good luck with the houses. That is such a big decision. Hope things work out.

EE22, Well, we are having some better weather so that is good for track and field.:thumbsup2 Hope the kids are doing well.

Tomar,

Candi, thanks for the confidence.:wizard:

Doesn't look like I will be testing on thursday afterall. Spent last nite in the hospital, [and not working]. Having my recurring gut problems. Home now, but probably being off most of the rest of the week.

Well, at least I will be home tommorrow, if it turns out to be ap day.:wizard:

Very happy saving over $800.00 [from aaa rate] on July!:thumbsup2:rotfl2: :worship:Thank you WDW! :worship: I already got my confirmation and printed it, so they can't renig.:rotfl: Just in case.

Tomar, so happy I could give you a little good news. :woohoo::hug: Hoping you get to talk with your princess princess: this weekend. She needs her nana.

EE22, Hope you called before school today.

TP2, We will miss you in July. But if august works better, and you do love the free dining. ;) We understand.

Candi, sounds rough around your neck of the woods. Hang in there.

You know I'm sick when I'm not calling WDW:rotfl:Finally got up around 5:30 pm. I knew they were out...I could hear my mail alerts so I knew it was the dis thread on ap rates:rotfl:I just couldn't do it. If I moved, I got sick and noise put me over the edge. I couldn't talk right either.

I called tonight but for a 1BR Sav view the savings was about 25% is all. I could hear in the back ground too that someone else asked for club level and they didn't have rates for that. I'm sure the bigger rooms weren't that great.

Work was killer today so I thougth I would drop by and get a dose of Disney. Maybe taking up drinking would be cheaper :lmao::lmao:

I really want to go this summer!

My cousins in Nova Scotia are having a 40th wedding anniversary and planning a big party and we made the guest list cut :goodvibes. What great news. The bad news is the trip will cost as much as Disney and I am wondering if they would feel the love from Walt Disney World. :rotfl::lmao:

I'm under 60 days.:woohoo:
Feeling better now too.

Happy Mother's Day Weekend everyone :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

My DS will be back early this weekend from his dad's because of mother's day - we can't wait - I'm putting him to good use tomorrow planting flowers. He will do the "grunt" work letting me have fun doing the planting :goodvibes

Waiting and hoping for an AP rate or general code to come out for mid/late August :wizard: This will be the first year for an August vacation so we are hoping for a deal :wizard::wizard::wizard:

We let our APs expire but if an AP code would come out I would likely go ahead and purchase APs - hoping to be able to use them for a 2nd week. I just don't think the FD makes sense for us. I'm allergic to a component of almost every desert available so it's really a waste for us :guilty:

The airline rates seem to be quite good now. Considering going ahead and booking the airfare and then just hoping for the codes to come out:wizard: Does anyone remember if there was a code for mid/late August last year other than FD???

Well did some changes tonight. I found someone to work for me on Sunday in July, so we did a Southwest change, and are going at 8:30am not 7:30pm!
We will get in a whole 12hr earlier.:cool1: So that is really going to be nice. Apparently our return flight price had dropped so, the whole change wound up only 20.00. I change our car for the 12hr. and that is actually $4.00 cheaper than the price I had.:rotfl: Guess, I was supposed to do this change.:wizard:

MKY: How was your appointment? At least you get an extra day in the world. I know how hard it is to only go for one week. People cringe when I say we are going for 2 weeks but then when I explain how we do it I think they understand. I think everyone thinks of Disney as commando and can't imagine doing that for too long. Me, I don't feel like I have enough time. I have two table service restaurants a day in Epcot, and I am not too big with a crazy schedule. Just want to fit everything in.

Hope everyone is feeling and doing well. The weather is finally getting warmer which is a good sign, no matter where we are.

Hiya everyone,

Its raining here, and storming. EE22, hopefully, your not getting this weather for the big meet. Good luck and plenty of pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: I would think it is hard to eat anywhere, with you allergies. Had a patient with a lot of food allergies, and it is alot of work. We have enough keeping bug's straight, not sure how you do it.

TP2, We visited with Ratatouille twice in march.:thumbsup2 He is soooo cute. Try the appy La Flamme Tartre' or something like that. We ate there years ago, and a server said it was from her region and recommended it highly. So we tried & now it is tradition. Its a flat bread [big enough to share] with cheese, bacon, and onions. But very good. Personally I request no onions but there not bad.;) Actually Epcot is our fav. place to eat, compared to other parks.

Tomar, Mr. Tomar is a gem. :thumbsup2 And sounds like a special person. You are very lucky to have found him.:wizard:

Happy Sunday. So glad last week is OVER!! Too much STRESS.
The weather Saturday morning was better than Friday, but not much. VERY COLD...we had winter gear on and VERY high winds.

DS17 and DL11 both made it to state for Discus. I never thought there would be excitement in shot put, but there was. I've never seen a tie and their was. DS17 was tied for 3rd...then for 4th so they took the second best throw. The coach said about the kid who moved ahead on his last throw..."that kid took out our heart and stomped on it." That sums it up:sad1:

Hi everyone been lurking but not posting lately.

I am missing the planning of a trip and have been reading about yours but wishing it was me too. :goodvibes

My dear friend's son was married yesterday (near Denver) and I heard it was wonderful. His daughter is also getting married in July....so he is not going to be able to use his time share this year or next.

Are any of you skiers? He has a three bedroom unit in Avon (10 minutes to Vail and 5 minutes to Beaver Creek) between the first week of January and the end of March. He is only asking for the maintenance fees for the year. i think it costs him about $1100 a year for fees.

Anyone interested?

We stayed at this resort in the summer in 2006 and it was very nice and very well located but we are not skiers.

Hiya everyone,

EE22, Ohhhhhhh noooooo. So sorry about the shot put. [and crummy weather conditions to make it worse]. Yeah, for the discus! They must be so happy and you so proud. Any offers for field scholarships? I would guess, the schools are watching them both. Good luck at state!pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixi edust: I saw an ad on tv here, for iowa's state fair. never seen that from here before. They must be pushing it. We get illinois [of course] and big on wisconsin. Its closer to chicago than the illinois one.

Tomar, Sorry about your experience at chefs. Was it food, or staff? There have been times, I have told bug, we lucked out at this station and not that waiters. :scared1: Food has been pretty consistant with us. But, for health reason, I could see the menu might be a bit complicated.

TP2, They said the weather is suppose to warm this week and dry out. So we should be able to send some east.:wizard: How is the baby & sis's family doing?

Candi, missed you. I am sure you will be planning soon. Remember, people plan wdw trips years in advance. Sorry, no skiers in our family, but thanks for thinking of us. Sounds nice thou.

EE22 - I never thought about the scholarships! I bet your kids are in the running for sure.

TP2 - it is a bit warmer and dryer here today, so maybe you are getting better weather as well.

I have a trip for March 2010 but with all the trips last year, it now seems so far away to be planning. I guess I got spoiled last year. :rotfl: I have not even decided where to stay or how many days to stay.

It is Victoria Day here today, so I am off work for our long weekend and the kids have gone to a small golf coarse with their dad. So the house is quiet. :goodvibes

MKY - no skiers in our house either. I use to ski until a skiing accident had me in a cast for 16 weeks. I did ski for a few years after that but never really developed a huge passion for the sport. I do love Colorado in the summer!

Tomar, We have never tried the bistro. Bug, doesn't like the menu. Its a bit over the top for us. Must be a pretty room thou. The adult theme is an entertaining idea. Be careful with the ear. You could have an inner ear infection, or clogged up wax. They screw with your equilibrium. Might be sinus related too. Might want to try the gross idea of a sinus flush. I was teaching it at work today, to a teen patient. She said, "felt like jumping into a pool of water". But it does help with all those conditions. Hope you feel better & take care of your allergies.

EE22: Good luck at State. So exciting.:yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

MKY: I am so happy to hear that it is slow at work. All they are talking about is Swine Flu here. Closing schools. I have no idea if they are blowing things up or it is really bad. So many people die from the regular flu every year, we just don't hear about each and every case. I am not sure how much I trust the news anymore. It seems like anything they can do to scare people, they do.

Tomar: Hope you start feeling better. Just brought DD10 in for a sinus infection from allergies. They gave her Nasacort, and inhaler, antibiotics, and want to start her on Singulair. I said no to the Singulair. The inhaler and Nasacort are as needed, Singulair is everyday so I want to put that off for now.

Candi: Time does go by fast. When we cancelled our trip last year it seemed like it would be forever before we got to go back but here we are and I made our ADR's today. Got almost everything. Can you believe Mickeys Backyard BBQ was sold out? I was shocked. I bet they will add more days if enough people look for it. So far they only have it 2 days a week. I am not heartbroken. Just thought it would be something fun and different and with the dining plan, it would not bother me to spend $200 for 1.5 hours.

TP2 - Singular is every day for the first couple of weeks, then you can take it as needed.

I use it and DD13 has been on it for allergies. I really like it. It does not make you drowsy and I have not seen any of the side affects. You might want to talk to the doctor more about it.

By taking it for my allergies, I have less trouble with my Asthma but mine is not nearly as bad. But I do like the drug a lot more than others I have tried.

I am sure time will fly for us as well. Like any habit, it takes time to kick it and I have been a heavy user of vacation planning for over a year now. :lmao:

TP2, Yeah!!! Congrat's to you on your adr's. :woohoo: Remember during free dining the resturant's are packed, so you did really good. I have been on singulair for 2 years now, daily. This spring, I finally noticed a big difference. Our lilac's blumed and my nose was not a facuet. I felt alot better. Since my allergies didn't take off > it kept my asthma in check. I know, most pediatricians are pushing it on all our asthma patients. It is actually in our asthma protocol. I know, it is scary. You never know, in a few years they will come out and say it causes some terrible side effects or diseases. Since I come in season, at the start of each season here, I've had to take it daily. But, it did take 2 years to really get the full benefit from it. I guess, I would judge it on how bad the allergies and asthma are. It is not for the treatment of an attack. It is a preventive drug.

Candi, something wrong with that picture. You work in the auto industry aren't you suppose to be driving everywhere?;) It was beauitful here too. 86 when I got out of work. :wizard: Your next trip will be here before you know it. Last year, we went only once. But that saved 2 weeks of extra vacation time for this year. :woohoo: And not to mention the extra $$$ I saved.

Tomar, hoping your feeling better. Good luck at the ear md.

MKY - :lmao: time will drive by :lmao: I hope it gets a speeding ticket :lmao:

I had to take my car into the shop today for an engine noise. My dealership is closed (thanks to GM killing the Pontiac line) and so I had to go to another one. I hate having to break in a new service advisor.

Once I got checked in and was heading to the shuttle, guess who walks in but my advisor from the other dealership. :cloud9: I was so happy to see him! :cloud9:

Tomar - I get the dizzyness at times too and it can be hard when you are so busy. Take care.

51 more days for us !!!! WHOO HOOO :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
Im starting to set excited !!!!! :yay:

Hiya everyone

Tomar, We have never tried the bistro. Bug, doesn't like the menu. Its a bit over the top for us. Must be a pretty room thou. The adult theme is an entertaining idea. Be careful with the ear. You could have an inner ear infection, or clogged up wax. They screw with your equilibrium. Might be sinus related too. Might want to try the gross idea of a sinus flush. I was teaching it at work today, to a teen patient. She said, "felt like jumping into a pool of water". But it does help with all those conditions. Hope you feel better & take care of your allergies.

You guys got me all excited too. We are at 54 days! I think.:confused3;)

mky:cutie:

Tomar: Hope you start feeling better. Just brought DD10 in for a sinus infection from allergies. They gave her Nasacort, and inhaler, antibiotics, and want to start her on Singulair. I said no to the Singulair. The inhaler and Nasacort are as needed, Singulair is everyday so I want to put that off for now.

TP2- sorry about DD10...tell her that, She and Mrs. Tomar have the same thing.....:rolleyes1......Hope the princess is feeling better soon !!princess:
Congrats on makeing your ADR`s !!:flower3:...Your Family is (like I say each year)...OFFICIALLY DUELY NOTED IN THE LOG BOOKS OF UNCLE WALTS DINING GUESTS for 2009 !!! ;) :goodvibes :yay:

Tomar: Glad to hear you are starting to feel better. We are all getting so close to our vacations. I think we all need it this year.

MKY: You can't miss the stories about Drew Peterson here either. It is really amazing he got away with it for so long and so many times.:scared1:

So I called back and got everything we wanted, even Mickeys Backyard BBQ. Got Le Cellier for 6:00pm. Just gonna call again on Sunday for Chef Mickeys on our last day. I was shocked because with free dining, I thought it would be very difficult. Biggest problem with their computers going down. I think it was good that I changed our dates. People who called in on Monday were being disconnected in the middle and all ADR's were lost. Hold times were crazy. I got through right away and got everything I wanted. Very lucky. Maybe this will be a good trip for us. Still need my airplane ticket. Have everyone elses, just waiting on mine. Patience, patience, patience!

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone :goodvibes

It's been an interesting couple of weeks in our household :rolleyes1

As many of you know the plant DF worked at for 20 some years closed last summer :sad1: He found a position at another plant and was back working - then yesterday he got the news.... the plant lost a major contract and he and many others were laid off :sad2: He is subject to call back but really is not sure what to do. He is such a hard worker and to have one blow after another is so hard for him. Thankfully he has benefits from the plant that closed so he has some time to decide what to do.

We are going ahead with the WDW plans though as DF does not do WDW. But... I just found out that DS's school starts the week we planned to be gone. Now we are rethinking the date of the trip (still want to go over his b-day) but not sure which days. I think we will end up being between the current promotions so I'm hoping for a general or AP code :wizard: The other option would be to go in July as we would normally and then a quick weekend trip for his b-day.

Need to make decisions soon. I'm very thankful that I have a good job and that mom likes to travel to WDW. And very hopeful that DF will find the job security that he and so many others need :wizard:

Hey Ladies:wave2: So I actually have a Disney related question. We have always filled our days by the pool and in the parks but I have gathered quite a few points this year on my DV card and I think I can add another "experience" outside of the usual stuff. So far I have BBB, and Wonderland Tea Party. I booked 2 dinner shows. But is there something else that I can plan that will be special. We can add the water park tickets but that may be too much, our days seem kind of busy at this point. But something for a night or afternoon would be perfect. The Perfectly Princess Tea, although it sounds amazing, is way out of the budget with 3 girls so I guess I am looking for something in the $150 range. Can't wait to hear your ideas.popcorn::

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

hiya everyone:banana:

Tomar, I think Illinois has rules against court tv, but they keep sitting out in front of there anyway. He is such a celebrity. :rotfl: Our X-governors wife is supposed to be on a reality show starting soon. We they go into the forest? He was supposed to, but she took his place. They won't let him out of the country. :rolleyes1

TP2, Hmmmmmmm, Not sure what else you could add? You've got great meals and full days. If I had better luck, I would say disneyflorist to do something special >> but I found out the hard way ** it is soooooo over rated*** and not worth anything. Have you tried renting a pontoon on one of the lakes? You could all easily fit, and if you can drive, you can steer a boat. No experience needed. Or, we are big fans of mini golf at the disney mini golf places. Good work on all you adr's and plans thou.:thumbsup2

TP2 - I sounds like you have a great trip planned. I agree with MKY that the mini golf is fun.

I made the kids clean out the basement yesterday. We hauled everything outside and cleaned the basement and sorted a bunch of stuff. We did not get finished in one day like they do on Clean Sweep, but we made good progress.

We worked a bit more today but still have a bunch of stuff to go through. As much as I hate yard sales, I think we are going to have one.

What is everyone doing for fun this long weekend?

You might consider an Illumination Cruise. Normally this can be expensive but if you share a cruise with another family it's within the price range you listed. We did this last year for my mom's birthday and it was wonderful :cloud9: If you are interested check out the theme park board for the thread on sharing Illumination cruises :thumbsup2

Minnie: Thats a great idea. I am going to look into sharing a cruise.

Good luck with DF. I know this is a tough time for so many people. Very frustrating.

Candi: I cleaned out the closets this weekend. Can't believe how much stuff was stuffed in there. Happy to have the extra space now.

I wound up booking the Grand Floridain Tea for me and the girls and sending DH for a massage. Not sure if the girls are too young though so I may still look for something else.

MKY: We did mini golf in 2007 and they loved it. Very relaxing day, good memories, not crowded. They want to do it again. Our days are pretty full at this point. No time for sleep or relaxing but it should be a lot of fun. Can't wait. I feel like I can taste it now we are getting so close.

TP2...we shared a cruise once. It worked out well. DD and I are doing the tea at the Grand. Keys to the Kingdom too, but she had to be 16 to do that. No other ideas really. I wouldn't find TL relaxing either with the ages of your girls either. Just the opposite.

Funny...I hate mini golf:rotfl:I find it very annoying...I'm not sure why. Maybe I just played way too much back in Michigan each summer I'm not sure why:confused3

Hi, ladies. I hope I'm not intruding on you group. I apologize if I am and this is for all the ladies seem to be on this thread.

We have a trip planned starting on the 10th of August, Myself, Hubby and four-year-old son. We plan on staying for five nights at CBR and leaving a day open just in case we want to do something else. After that, we are checking out of Disney and going to another hotel for three days to do both Universal Parks and Sea World. I guess I'm just wanting some thoughts on the ADRs I have. Luckily, I was able to get the times I asked for but without knowing too much about what might be going on in the parks around that time, not sure if it was that great but we're sticking to it now. (We got out tickets on the military salute offer, I'm active duty and DH is retired, so it was a good deal with the hotel being 40% off as well) Thanks for all the advice ahead of time.

Mon - MK, Crystal Palace Dinner
Tues - HS, Hollywood and Vine Character lunch buffet. (I also have Mama Melrose for dinner but I think we are cancelling that as I don't want to do more than one table service as part of our DDP)
Wed - AK, dinner at Whispering Canyon (I actually tried to get dinner ressie for Le Cellier but was only able to get it for lunch. After much thought, thought that might not be the most convenient since AK isn't open very late...probably going to keep Whispering Canyon and cancelling Le Cellier). Also, I think after dinner we are going to go over to the campfire if we have time or go back to MK.
Thurs - Typhoon Lagoon. Chief Mickey's for dinner.
Fri - Epcot, Teppan Edo for dinner.

Sat - If we feel like there is more Disney we need to do, then we will do whatever that is on Saturday. Other than that, we are off to the other parks.

Any thoughts to throw at me from this plan? Thanks.

Deb

Welcome!!!
I think the places you picked are great. We have never done WC but it gets good reviews from what I know. Not sure about Teppan Edo, but maybe one of the others can help out on that one. We were going to eat at WC at Christmas, but I finally snagged at CP reservation. We love CP and H&V both. I think your plan for AK is good because they do close early. Depending on when your reservation is to at WC you could see Wishes from there and also the water parade at WL. I can't remember the name of it right now though.

DS and DH always do a couple days at Universal too :goodvibes

Hiya everyone,

Having trouble with the "dis" today. Not sure if this will even take.

dkx2, feel free to ask us anything;) Hope you have a great time at wdw! And congratulations on your active & dh's retired duty. :woohoo: Nice that you snagged a good deal. Your adr's and plans look great, and with a nice mix of ideas. Only a few ideas, [from me;)] Do not underestimate TL. You will be VERY tired after a day there. You never notice it there, cause its so fun. But a few hours later, we felt like we where run over. :confused3 The wave pool is a bit brutal when the big waves are going >> be careful with the little one. Only other ? you didn't say where you will stay for universal? I highly reccommend [if there is any way possible] stay at universal! The front of the line acess is a wonderful feature, they offer. You just use your room key and then get in a shorter line. Very worth it. Plus we have stayed in hard rock & portofino & both are very nice. A friend did the [other one] pacific ? can't think of the name & was very happy there too.

EE22, good luck at school tommorrow, your almost done!

DKX2: I agree that your August plans sound wonderful.

EE22: DH feels the same way about mini golf. He says that we can play anywhere, why waste Disney time doing it. But the kids had a great time. It was a low key day, just took it easy.

Hiya everyone,

Got sent home early, from work. Only 5 patients. So it was my turn. :cool1:

It is warmer again today, but raining still off and on.

Did a bit of planning this afternoon. Set up our Limo run for midway. 5am pick up. It will be a long day. But, I would rather get up early for WDW than for work.:yay: I cannot believe how fast this all came up. We will be putting up the xmas tree in no time. Although, I wish it would slow up a bit. I am in no hurry to turn 50 in august.:scared1:

Tomar, so glad your recovering quickly this time. Need to start treatments quickly & hit it hard, fast. Makes it easier to bounce back. Yes, we are all very sick of the headlines here too.

TP2, I have never played golf during the day thou either. Way too hot. We like to go very late. They close after 11pm, and its cooler. But wear mosquito repelant or its a mistake. From the fantasmic course you can watch fantasmic's fireworks in the sky & hear the music. But, we are sisters so we are way to competitive and start fighting half way through. The only thing that does not appeal to us is: large groups, or large groups with alot of small kids. With just 2 of us we go pretty fast so wind up waiting a while. Going later seems to help, less crowded.

EE22, hope school was ok today. Your almost done. Are you planning big finals?

I hope Bug starts to feel better. All I know is I am happy that I got trip insurance this year. Also, I asked a friend about the water parks and she said her son got Coxsackie after visiting. That was enough for me. Kind of ironic that DD4 got it this week after just talking about it last weekend. Well, our days are well packed with little pool time. hiya everyone,

TP2, so sorry about DD. She should rest, push fluids, and wait it out. The virus, can be nothing or can have complications so just wait it out. Any thing not looking or her not acting right, let you md know. Usually it is a quick course of "hand, foot, mouth disease". But you can get some serious complications. Here is a pretty good source of info:
http://www.medicinenet.com/coxsackie_virus/article.htm
Hope that helps, but doesn't give you too much info.

At work we get all kinds of things post poned or celebrated at work. We have kids dress up for halloween, to being in the christening dress and baptised at the hospital. We have entire families, have thanksgiving dinners, christmas parties, prom dresses on, wedding couples visits.... :confused3 You never know, life keeps going, you just have to reschedule sometimes. She will know the party is still for her bday, and it will still be special. :thumbsup2 Have a great party!

Thanks everyone, Bug, is feeling a bit better, but our weather is cooler and raining again so it might get worse again. It was 80 this afternoon and now in the 60's but dropping fast.

Tomar, do you prefer xopenex or albuterol?

EE22, hang in there you and DS & DD are almost done.

Hope everyone has a great nite, mky

MKY- So glad that Bug is feeling better !
I use the Xopenex 0.31....(the Baby dose) !;)
When I was on Abuterol.....my heart was doing the jig for hours after I got off the "Peace Pipe"....I told the Allergiest....and he changed me to Xopenex....I rarely get that horrible reaction like my heart is comeing of of my chest anymore...thank goodness !! :cloud9:
What does Bug use ?.......

MKY: Thank you for that. Part of me needed to know that I didn't jump to fast at cancelling her party. Her doctor said to but I was not sure if she was being an alarmist and I have become a germophobe so I know I would not be happy if someone else had a party with a sick kid. But then I felt guilty that I was being a little OCD, or whatever you would want to call it. She slept on and off all day Saturday and Sunday. Today she woke up like a champ and seemed much better. Never a dull moment I guess.

Tomar: Everyone told me to get the Zopenex for DD5 but her doctor kept giving the Albuterol. She would get jittery but for some reason she never switched the meds. I have no idea why though. Thank goodness she has not needed the nebulizer since we stopped eggs. What a difference.

TP2- Im not sure what`s up with these doctors and Albuteral.....I know for me, I kept telling him I had palpatations...and he was just telling me back, that it is the Albuteral...OKAAAAAY......then give me something else.....!!!:scared:
Hense the Xopenex ....and in BABY dose !.....I try my best not to have to go on the "Peace Pipe" at all...but when I came home from Nana....I had to :headache:
If God forbid DD needs to go on it again TP2...tell your doctor you much prefer the Xopenex......0.31 is the lowest dose...then there`s 1.25...that`s alittle higher....but still no heart jig....so Id reccommend either one ;)
Hopeing now....with no eggs...she`ll be fine though !! :cloud9:

Tomar: Thank you so much. For me, I have never had these problems so I can only go by what the doctor tells me and what others tell me. My SIL and a friend (both have children) with asthma and they prefered their kids behavior on Xopenex and said I should ask for it. Because I have never gone through it, it is hard to know for sure and hard to know when to really push the doctor and when to just take her suggestion. Keeping my fingers crossed that the asthma is done for a bit now. But I sincerely appreciate the insight.

Don`t ask me what happened...I guess things that grow out here ...don`t agree with my system !! LOL :flower3:
The Boys on the other hand....have had Asthma since they were little....my older DS carrys the Epi Pen with him.....but my younger DS who has Asthma worse at times....doesn`t carry it .....
My WHOLE family has allergies to something or other.....not a Great thing to pass down the generations I`d say :upsidedow....but ....we deal with it !
I pray that DD is Asthma-Free forever ,since stopping the eggs....and then you won`t have to deal with the nebulizer anymore...:cloud9:

Tomar: You are always so sweet. Thank you for all the kind words of DD5.

Looks like we are going to have a nice weekend and one of her friends that could not make it last week can go this week. So things are looking up. She is still not 100% though. Last night she was miserable and fell asleep at 7:30. This is a kid that stays up later than me. She is just a night owl, so I have to assume she is still recovering. I am hoping that a long and good nights sleep does the trip. She has been crying in her sleep complaining of pain. No fever though. I guess we will know more in a couple of hours, she took over my spot in bed, which is why I am up so early. Just not enough room for 3 in a queen size bed.:scared:

Hiya everyone!

Tomar & TP2, Xopenex is actually a refined albuterol. Took out the bad parts like shakiness & high heart rates etc... . But, the reason it is not as popular as should be: it cost a lot more. So for some reason, most md's try not to use it. Our hospital is attempting to phase it out. Not sure why, other than cost. Bug & I both use xopenex for our asthma. Mom has advanced emphysema and also uses xopenex for her neb, but thinks her albuterol inhaler is stronger, and prefers it. She actually wants to change her neb meds to albuterol. I can handle the nebs its the oral steroids, that are a BIG problem. Allergies, run in families, and there is not much you can do about. They are saying breast feeding is supposed to help? :confused3 So I guess, I can blame mom, we had bottles.

My parents have slept in a double forever. They are married since 1950. We never even considered crawling in there.:rotfl: But, I have my own queen sized bed. They call it the barge. "your sister is watching tv on the barge"........ .:lmao:

I have fingers crossed for your weekend out there. It is cold here yesterday and today. Kids got out of school, its June and now its 60? :sad2: Hopefully this is not headed your way.

EE22, Good luck, to DD & DS on finals and your last days at school for this year. :wizard:

MKY: Thanks, again, for helping to explain the difference and reason for what the docs do. So we have Swine Flu in DD8's school. I was told by a teacher that the kids were flying out of the building today. We had to cancel DD5's birthday party last Sunday because she had Coxsackie (I know I told you). I am taking no chances this week. No way I can do that again so I am keeping both DD's home from school tomorrow. Gotta get through the weekend healthy.:wizard:

So about 3 or 4 weeks ago we started to panic about the whole house thing. Well, now we have 2 people bidding on our house at the same time and all of the houses we wanted have sold. We were putting bids on homes all day today and nothing. So now we are thinking of pulling out all together. It has been a stressful few weeks and now to get to this point and have no house to buy.:sad2: I almost feel like it is a sign from above that we should just stay here and maybe reorg the house a bit. Just to close and pay real estate fees we are looking at almost $30k.:scared: We can stay at the Contemporary for 2 weeks and still have change left over.:rotfl: But seriously, we can do a lot of work on this house with that money. And to top it off, interest rates jumped 1% this week. That is huge. To be a kid again and just have parents to make these decisions for us.

Tomar...hope you are doing okay with your allergies.

Must be our age?:confused3

I went to the doc and she gave me more ambien. I told her I was just high strung and worried too much. I'll probably sleep better this summer although last year in WDW I did not.

I cleaned out the linen closet and pantry yesterday. Linen closet was major! I don't think I did it last summer. Threw out a lot of old stuff that was expired. Got the Goodwill pile ready to go so I could get to the luggage. I'm very behind on many jobs around here. I suppose they will all get done in time. And, perhaps, they won't.

Getting to the luggage was major since we leave in UNDER 30 DAYS!!!

Hiya everyone,

Got cancelled today, on call. And will most likely get called in.:scared1::rolleyes1 Fingers crossed.

The swine flu, is spread through droplet's. IE: They cough, on you, or on the table and you seat there next > hands in droplets > touch face > your infected... ... They problably want to keep the kids exposed and will break out from continuing exposing more people > and spreading further. In, the meantime probably washing down everything.
This flu, is dangerous, if your compromised. You have a chronic, serious condition and add the flu. Or, your run down, from pneumonia etc.. . Then it can be dangerous. For, most people if your healthy, it is just a few days of feeling sick.. You want to be careful if you get the flu, that you do not allow it to compromise yourself. And wind up with pneumonia, dehydration, etc.. . [Or, at least this is what we are seeing.]

TP2, congrat's on the party. :yay:

EE22, Hang in there, and take a break.;) In march, they had the bounceback, but it was for spring, august and sept, early dec. They have added October. Which would be great, it is regular [expensive] season.:scared1:

Tomar, we don't need to ship this year, I did that owners locker thing. We will see if it helps or is too expensive.

Candi, hope things are ok at work.

I called and added adr's for our 1st day in july. I forgot. :rolleyes1 We changed our plane and made a 12hr difference > needing somewhere to eat.

Anyone, going to EMH sunday, 7/11/9? not sure how tired or sleepy we will be but considering it.:lmao: It sounds like a good plan right now, but after being up 18hrs and flying etc.. . not so sure.:lmao:

MKY: You make me feel better. I guess we should worry about my dad with diabetes but the rest of us are okay. Also, that little niece of mine. Only 4 weeks old. I didn't let me sister come over the other day out of fear. I remember DD10 getting sick when she was 7 weeks old. She had bronchialitis and it scared the life out of us. After that she needed albuterol syrup all the time. Her first 14 months of life were a nightmare.:sad2: Then she all of a sudden got better and has been pretty healthy ever since, expect that pnemonia in Disney in 2007.:headache:

Tomar: Funny thing about the shopping carts. When DD5 was a baby and started sitting the cart, I started wiping it down. Now I usually go alone so I just clean my hands when I am done but with this whole swine flu I have been wiping it down again. I have also been spraying shoes with Lysol. DH thinks we are better off getting it now instead of the fall. He thinks it is going to come back stronger. I really have to just continue to practice good hygene for myself and the kids and not think about it. I can make myself crazy with the whole thing.:scared:

We are so excited about our trip. I really can't wait. Getting down to almost 2 months seems like I need to start packing already too. I will wait though until at least August 1. I will hit the Disney Store on Wednesday though. I already have my night covered so I will be free.:yay:

Hi everyone.

Well I tried to get caught up but I missed a lot.

MKY - are you seeing a lot of swine flu cases? It isn't even in the news here any more.

Your trip is so close now. :cool1:

I took a few days off work and took my mom and DD10 to see my brother. We spent a couple of days in Kingston Ontario and I remember now how much I love that city.

There is a lot of history and with Queen's University and the Royal Military College, it has great energy and is pretty artsy.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn on the harbour and we walked all around the down town. There is a White Mountain Ice cream store that sells all natural ice cream made on the premises. It is wonderful :goodvibes

It was the first trip DD13 decided to stay home because she had plans with her friends. DH stayed home and they had a quiet few days.

Tomar - I hope you are feeling better soon.

Hello Ladies !!:goodvibes

Candi- Glad that you got to spend time with your family :cloud9:.....sounds like you had a peaceful few days away from it all:angel:

MKY- Yes ....we are almost down to the 30 day mark !! WHOO HOO:dance3::woohoo::dance3::woohoo::dance3::woohoo :
I just got back the results from the .....4 tubes of blood ...the cardio doctor took...
Everything came back GOOD :cool1:....except...it seems that I am ...Vitiman D Deficient....I have to take 2000 IUs of it everyday for 90 days....then go get another blood test.....Imagine that !!....Me....the sun lover !!
I was feeling very tired when I came home from Cali...and atributed it to the passing of Nana and all...but I guess it was the lack of D.....I really don`t have any dairy in my diet (can`t )...so I started the suppliment tonight and we...shall...see ;)
Hope all is well with you and Bug......:cutie:

EE22- YIPEE for the best teacher in the Field of Dreams.....Summer vacation has started for you !!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

TP2- I hear ya about the DS.....it used to be that I couldn`t wait to go and see what was new ...and I was excited and wanted everything that I saw.....these days...if not for me shopping for the Princess princess:....I just look around and see.......nothing that moves me
I don`t know if your having the same weather as we are in New Jersey...but Im getting alittle disgusted of seeing CLOUDS ...and ....rain....and wanna rain everyday .....ICK !:crazy2:

It has been raining lots here as well.

The pressure changes are giving me such headaches. We have nice sun in the morning, rain in the afternoon the it seems to start all over.

Today it has been raining all day.

But the grass is very green and incredibley long all over town due to the strike by city workers....can you imagine striking in today's market!!!!

But the good news is for any nature lovers. Due to the grass (prairie grass lands is what they are around here) going wild, we are having a large influx of song birds that we don't usually get around here very often.

EE22 - you could teach the class a little geography and show them how flat the area around the Great Lakes are. We are actually flatter than the midwest!!!

Hi Ladies. Yes, I am done! I didn't think I'd make it, but I did. There were way too many fires in the final days. It was probably one of the most hectic ends of the year I can remember. I brought NOTHING home either. I almost always do and I left it all there. If I'm not ready for the first day we'll play Disney trivia games!

I've started in on the big projects already for the summer. I feel so far behind. The shrubs, the house, the cars, oh my!!

I moved two rooms around in the basement...WHAT A JOB!! Due to me not sleeping well we had to move the bed to the room without the sump pump. what a lot of work! Now I'm cleaning like a mad woman. Dust never goes away.

23 Days. :woohoo: I hope we are ready! getting DD and DS packed this year will be like moving a mountain that's all I know:scared1:

We do not have a Disney Store in the state anymore:rolleyes:I guess that's good. I have too much from Disney anyway....

Tomar: Yes, we are SICK SICK SICK of this weather.:sad2: All of the fun stuff for the kids is being cancelled or reworked. It has been a disappointing week for the kids. Field day postponed until next week and the forecast is still calling for rain. Hopefully Saturday will be nice, we are having a pool party/BBQ for DD5's birthday. After that we will finally be done celebrating. Her getting sick really messed things up. This week has been working out much better than the first week of June. Things seem to be looking up.:rolleyes1

Glad the blotches turned out to be something simple. The vitamin D is the reason, right?

Anybody ever go to Breezes Montego Bay? DH and I were thinking of running away for a couple of days. It is really cheap so we are a bit scared.:scared: As long as we won't have company sleeping with us I will be fine. But I worry about it being gross and dirty.

EE22: I am a bit jealous of your free time. I am in need of a break from life. It has been a bit much lately.

MKY: Swine Flu seems to be running its course through our school district. It was all over the news today. Grandparents were calling my house like crazy.

EEyorelover22
06-11-2009, 10:09 PM
Be careful what you wish for TP2;)I have more free time than I can ever remember because I live with two teenagers. I have a feeling I'm going to look back on this era and it won't be one of my favorite times.

I know what you mean though...no schedule and just getting things done is nice for a change. I never thought life could be more hectic but it has. It's never ending during the school year and it's pedal to the medal till the very end with finals. Just crazy!

I thought the other night...when the kids are gone...who knows when that will be...I won't know what to do with myself during the summer. I've never had a summer off...I was either working on my master's or taking care of the kids. The summer DS was born was the closest as he was born the middle of August, but I was getting ready for his arrival.

Not sure how I'll do...maybe plan more trips to the World:confused3

Don't know anything about the place in Montego Bay. My step mom and dad were married there and so was my cousin, but I don't know where she stayed.

party::yay:29 DAYS !!party::yay:
I am officially.....PACKING right now !! WHOO HOO !:woohoo:

EE22 and MKY- I hope you guys are getting a chance to start packing as well :yay::angel::yay:

TP2- Good thing I have the opportunity to pack now....or...... Id be very bummed about this weather....it`s disgusting !!!!....Last night the skys opened up .....all night long....thunder and lightning too:eek:......ick !
:bday:"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" :cake:TO PRINCESS DD 5:bday::cake:

Candi- looks like your weather is not so different from ours right now.....if this goes on alittle longer ....we may need an ARC soon !!! :rolleyes1 :sad2:

Tomar: We have the EXACT same weather. I was up with the thunder and lightening too last night. I wound up getting up at 6:30am and started laundry, ironing, straightening up. Never ending.:laundy:

So I guess this house thing is not over yet because we got a call last night that a deal fell through and a house we were bidding on accepted our offer of $35k below asking price. I mentally gave up the whole thing so I am having a hard time jumping back in but it is almost too good of a deal to give up. I was resolved to our lower morgage and more Disney trips!

I am so excited that all of your trips are coming up so soon. I went through those bins I have been filling since last summer. I am up to 3 now so I guess you can say I am semi packed!:rotfl:

TP2- This is soooo funny....I was gunna get up and start to do things around the house this morning as well....but... I decided to go back to sleep, as I went to bed at 1am packing last night !
Yep, you are officically semi-packed since you already have 3 bins full of Disney trip things :woohoo: !......
Very exciting about the house offer being accepted !!:cool1:
Do you have a buyer for Your house yet ?...
OK....so it looks like the sun is Struggleing to appear this morning here in New Jersey.....but from all the weather reports its gunna be short lived !! I went out to mail some bills just now...and yoiu can cut the humidity with a knife... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr r

tripplanner2
06-12-2009, 11:33 AM
Tomar: We have 2 buyers that were ready last week and 2 more that need more time. The whole thing has been a mess. My real estate agent just called me back and said that their agent accepted our offer but the homeowners want $17k higher than that. It makes it easy for us. The house has some issues and for the low price we were willing to take a chance but for more money, no way.

The humidity here is exactly the same and funny thing is when I read your post there was no sign of sun but all of a sudden I see a brightening in the sky.:goodvibes I need a nice day for tomorrow. We can survive inside but it will be so much nicer if we can just hang out outside.

Hiya everyone! 1 month to goooooooooo!!!!:cool1:

EE22, We get in about 11:30 am on 7/12, sunday. They are supposed to be open EMH till 1am? I thought.:confused3 This is one of our shortest trips cause we fly home on Sat afternoon. Not too happy about that. Glad your out of school.

And its some BaD timing cause: Sunday [7/12] is my 90 daymark for our October trip. :scared1: I can see me at midway or in the limo making adr's. Or, might just wait till we get there. When we check in > the 1st thing I want to do is make a ressie for the bounceback offer if I can get it. They will still be bringing our luggage, and I will be on the phone.:rotfl:

Tomar, Glad you got an answer for you blotches etc. Hopefully you will be in tip top shape in 1 month.:woohoo:

TP2, Sorry about the house. Something will work out. No, never been to breezes. :confused3 I would throughly research on the web. Try posting on the community board here with your question, maybe someone has been there.

You two, got that weather directly from us. Storming, and lightening > then terrible humidity with heat, > now its sprinkly all morning and and sunny in the afternoon. Starting to get hot tonight again. Work has been slow and if the weather stabilizes, we might have a nice quiet weekend.

Candi, yes we are still seeing swine flu. Nothing bad, so far in our unit. But I think chicago had 1 death so far from it. Complicated with pregnancy the tv said.:confused3

Happy friday, we are all so close! mky:cutie:

EE22- Are you PACKING ??!!! :cheer2::banana::cool1::cheer2:

TP2- Looks like the sun wants to come out today.....I hope sooooo :flower3:
Good luck with the house situation....I know it can be daunting...we went through the exact same thing ...:scared1:....I know it can be frustrating !:scared:

Candi- Hope your weather is improving too !!:flower1:

Wow TP2 - makes me very happy we have never tried to sell our house and move. We are still living in the first house we bought in 1990 when we were still newly married....:goodvibes

MKY - EE22 and Tomar all in Disney in less than a months time. :cool1: Sounds like a great time for everyone. Only wish you could add a Candi to the list. :lmao:

I slept through the storm that kept the rest of you up. :rotfl: If we get a big storm, I will wake up for all of 10 seconds but if I am not having trouble sleeping, I can sleep through a lot of noise. I think it comes from my dad being such a heavy snorer. :lmao: And my husband is too. :lmao:

Today was cool but nice. The Red Bull Air Race is going on here this weekend so I got to see a bunch of the Red Bull planes and some old planes fly over the house all day because we are in the flight pattern for our small airport. I loved it! :cloud9:

Hi Ladies...after I packed the bathroom stuff, I haven't done much else although I washed up all the Disney shirts. DH is pretty much organized...he's easy. I have most of my shirts although I am going to have to go through them as over time they have lost length...I hate that!

DD will be the troublesome one. Mickey needs to give me strength.

We have a college visit and a track meet before we hit Disney so we are busy. I've been cleaning like a fool. I have the house about done. The cars need a cleaning and the yard scares me with all the rain, but last year it rained all day everyday and I know I didn't do the bushes till we came back from Disney. I want to try to get it all done this week so I can rest my old bones before the trip.

MKY: call from the airport for dining. You'll be there for 2 hours waiting. I called on our June 06 trip on the bus one morning for our Dec 06 trip...still at 180 days then:goodvibes

Yes, there is EMH at MK that night. DD and I will be there:love:I think we are going to see Spectro and Wishes that night. Come join us!:woohoo:

Fast trips are okay really...just more packed into a few days, but you're a veteran so you'll be fine. We were there only 4 days in December. It was such a bonus trip and one of our best times there except for being trapped in BTMRR!!

Good luck with the house TP2. We haven't moved since August of 1987:goodvibes I'm blowing this place up when we do move too!!!

Bought a new bed for DS yesterday. Expensive! but the old bed is from 1987 and a bit worn out. We moved him to the basement where it's cooler for the summer months. He likes the cave. I freeze down there!

Candi...when is your next trip?

21 days for us:laundy::dance3::scared1::grouphug:pixiedust:
edit: one counter says 20 days and one says 21...must do it differently with the number of hours left since we leave at 6 pm

We don't have much longer for a 4th of July trip to Saratoga Springs and then a trip in Sept with one night at the new Bay Lake towers a 7 day cruise and then a one night at new AK to end the trip. Our 4 year old keeps asking is it the day we get to go to "Mickey's House" and have to keep telling her not today.

:wizard:Hope everyone had a great weekend. Work was slow. We closed our unit for the first time this season. Hoping to get cancelled tommorrow. If I don't have to take call >> working on closet and organizing to start packing plan. ** high hopes** & big ambitions [at least for tonight].:rotfl:

EE22, We will keep our eyes open on the 12th.:thumbsup2 Problem is bug never [or rarely] lets me see the parades. Doesn't like to seat and wait. Then the crowds get bad and people being rude [she kept getting wacked with a light saber on mainstreet] then the parents didn't take it away from the 6yr old.
A college visit, that sounds exciting. :woohoo: Have fun! Good luck with the packing! Thanks for the info about a shorter trip. I am hoping for some much needed R&R, wdw is just an added bonus.

Candi, I can beat you, we move here when I was in 4th grade.:scared1: I barely remember moving. Don't think I would know how. If I moved to florida, I would leave everything here and shut the door > then start over.:rotfl2:

Tomar, I know I think my counter is off somehow. :confused3 Are you supposed to count the day you leave or the last day you work? Are you stopping off to see the princess: during your trip?

TP2, Hope everyone is feeling better now. Any changes on the house this weekend?

Happy sunday, mky:cutie:

Hey MKY: DD5 is better but DD10 is sick. We think it is a migrane but I am unsure. She was complaining of a headache last night and went to the nurse last week in school for a headache. But then last night she started complaining that her belly hurt and she woke up vomiting. I finally got Motrin in her and the vomiting stopped. No fever, so I am ruling out the flu but she is miserable. In bed most of the day. And now complaining of back pain. Gotta add that to the google search.

No new news on the house front. We are ready to just buy a boat and forget the whole thing. Scary to see some of the stuff out there. And the thought of moving is scary to us too.:scared1: I am always getting rid of stuff but still, we have a lot. I never thought the process would be easy but it is a little ridiculous.

Tomar and EE22: I really can't wait to get down the luggage. I paid off our trip. So now we are waiting on our luggage tags. I guess I have about 3 more weeks before they will show up.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

TP2 - I hope 2210 feels better soon.

EE22 - I have to wait all the way till March for my next Disney fix. Really don't know if I can hold out that long. If a $49 flight comes up then DH might find himself at home for a week. :lmao: Ssshhhh don't tell him I have been looking online.

I am so desperate to go that I am considering going during huricane season to get DD13 in for her birthday for free. ;)

MKY - We moved into the house my mom and dad still live in when I was in grade 2. I remember the move. Before that I was an army brat but don't remember any of the other moves since my dad left the service when I was 2 years old and they moved across the country. Imagine 6 kids in one car from the coast of BC to Quebec :scared1::scared1::scared1:

All of our posessions fit into one small UHaul trailer. And to top it off......we CAMPED on the way!!!! :scared1::scared1:

To think no one was tossed out the open windows (no AC) is amazing :lmao:

I slept in the wheel well of the old cadillac where the floor vent (a door you opened) would blow on me to keep me cool. I think I had the best spot on the trip. My brother got sun burnt sleeping in the back window :scared: Oh the stories my mom can tell.

Happy monday!

I did it!:) Got through the closet and 2 chest's. Got cancelled today YES:goodvibes and no call. Guess, they did finally open the unit at 3 am this morning. I started around 9am, and finished about 3pm. 5 bags to good will, sitting on my living room floor. I am officially off tommorrow, so don't plan on doing too much. Got things lined up for vacation, packing should not be too bad.

TP2, could be migraines. Migraines definately have a GI [gastro] component. And everyone, has a little bit different type of migraine. Or a little variation of what the migraine is too them. There is really not a test, they just go by your symptoms. I used to do a clinic with a pediatric neurologist from loyola [chicago]. He would come down twice a month. Was alot of fun. [still do a clinic with a ped cardiologist, from rush pres. st. lukes, chicago] anyway, whenever; someone would come in with strange complaints, even as odd as a possible seziure, he would tell me, probably migraines. Kinda, the same thing when your kids are sick, and the ped md tells you "virus". Migraines, are actually alot of work. Kinda like asthma. you figure out triggers, causes, what to or not eat, diary foods, activities, then you start figuring out treatment. What works, what doesn't. I like a dark room with the tv just for slight noise [no light on tv]. Ice bags to back of neck, and forehead. bug likes an extremely tight bandana [ala brent michaels:rotfl:] Just what ever works. Good luck. If they tell you it is migraines, I would recommend seeing a ped neurologist. At least for opinions, and till they work out your plan.

Candi, :lmao: you should write a book "cross country " the life of a military brat. :drive::car::thumbsup2

Happy monday 3 weeks and counting..................:dance3::yay::dance3:

MKY: Thanks for the info. She wound up with a fever today so I took her to the doctor. Upper respitory infection but her lungs are wheezing and ratteling. So she is on Zithromax. I thought it was Swine but her fever went down after taking Motrin. Was told flu won't react to Motrin. Doctor is concerned about pnemonia again. Wants her home all week and an easy weekend.

Glad you got your work done. Seems like everyone is tackeling some big chores.

Wow! 3 weeks! That means we are so close too. I am just ready for school to be done.

I have the shorts...just need tops.

I am not the Fashion Queen that Tomar is so it doesn't take me as long.

Tomar: you look like I do for work when you visit the parks. Must be your fashion design and east coast influence. Same with Mr. Tomar. I just hope DH stays clean for dinner time:rotfl:

Hiya ee22,

I hear ya. Remember, we are in 1 state over. I will be lucky if I am not a sweaty mess by 9pm. :lmao: July, is not the month for me too be in fashion. Its too hot and humid. :sad2: I expect to be at 80% afro. ;) Might even have a hat on at nite. :rotfl: No makeup. that will be off by then and we are only coming from the poly.:lmao: I admit, tomar always looks so nice and coordinated in her pictures. :wizard: I am sure its the east coast thing. I watched sex in the city, and don't even own those kinda shoes.

Tomar, have you been watching bravo's housewives of NJ? They have some beautiful homes. Strong women, interesting show. I am waiting for the chicago version.:rotfl: Probably a bunch of overweight women, cooking. :happytv: It would be boring.

None the less, I am sure our short time togther will be my favorite part of our trip. Meeting candi and her family was exciting and an adventure. We met at her hotel, nickelodeon. It was like getting into fort knox. We where held by security. Then bug, got sick, or at least sicker. It was interesting. We had a great time.

EE22, I think you've earned a day of rest. :thumbsup2 We are soooo close. Maybe I will get down our suitcases?

okay...so the rest thing didn't work out so well...it was raining out and I was going to vac out the car, but the hose was downstairs where DS sleeps so that was out...so I get the bright idea:idea:that cleaning the deck will take less water in the rain so out I go with the deck brush in the rain...at least I had on a bra so I didn't have Disney's version of a wet t-shirt contest...I had on my pink strap pink Mickey head shirt. Worked well and looks better, but still need to be done again...I know it's from all the water we had last spring and it never did get HOT like it normally does.

I am fine if I don't have to do anything but if I actually have to take care of something, I get dizzy. But DD10 is on day 3 and she is doing so much better. Thank you so much for asking. I feel bad because I have the kids I babysit today. I told their mom but she had no choice. I guess that is why the flu is getting around so much. But like I said, it is not that bad. The doctor is kindof annoyed at the media attention put on the whole thing. I think the worst part of it we will ALL get it. It is flying through our house and I am sure anyone who has contact with us. DD10's teacher said 11 kids were absent last week. I wish I knew that last week.

Evening everyone,

The big housewives of NJ finale is on tonight. I think, that has a fight in it. Should be interesting.

TP2, Hope your all over this quickly. Push fluids and rest. How much longer are the girls in school? Do they go year round?

Tomar, I have been so out of the loop, I didn't know you could make adr's online. :rotfl: I think we need to do more planning on this thread.:lmao:

EE22, you are so thoughtful, not wanting to wake DS. We got flooded here today. It is still raining. Hope it doesn't last all nite. We need to drain off the backyard.

mky...online ADRs just started TODAY.

I am not sure if the 90+10 works. I haven't had time to read about it. I did one for when we are there which is well withing the 90 days of course.

Hope everyone is doing well. Don't wear yourself down TP2.

Tomar: rained all day today...so it's coming East.

I worked on packing a bit more today. I'm not too far off!:scared1:
