View Full Version : How to complain about Lucky Nugget changing?

Any ideas how or who to complain to about the lucky nugget not accepting halfboard plus vouchers for whole amount. In the new official disney brochure dated from 4th April it is still in list for half board plus. I bought half board plus on the strength of being able to eat with characters at no extra cost and now they are changing this!

I think its misleading advertising surely they should be challenged on this.

I must admit I agree with you, I found it strange that the new disney brochure which has not been out long shows you can use HB+ vouchers. Let me know how you get on.

I have emailed them saying that in their brochure and website dtails valid up to Nov 09 it says lucky nugget on the half board plus yet people are being asked to pay more.

I have asked them to clarify this and will post if and what they reply.:confused3

Somone kindly put another link on here the other day re HB vouchers.

On this list it did not show Blue Lagoon either as being able to use as full payment for HB+

I go out to DLP on Saturday (18th April)- Cant wait!!

I bought HB+ vouchers too, but when I called Disney Dining 2 weeks ago to make my reservations for Character Lunch at Lucky Nugget, I was told by the CM that HB+ would NOT be accepted as full payment. Instead it would be face value.

I have called twice since then and spoken to different CM's at Disney Dining and been told the same thing both times.

However, I was also told that Rendevous Des Stars would not be accepting them either the first time I called, but later told they definitley WOULD accept them.

:confused3

I guess now, I'll just need to take my chances and see whats what when we get there

Well the only table of restaurants and meal plan I can find on their website is this one which was out of date on the 3/4/09. http://offers.disneylandparis.co.uk/UK/EN/Neutral/Images/Half%20Board%20Meal%20Plans.pdf

As a newbie I can't post a link, but if you go to the Disneyland Paris website and download the summer 09 brochure and look at page 84 you will see a list regarding the restaurants. Hope this helps. :)

The e-brochure is the same as the hard copy I have from the travel agents, both show Blue Lagoon and Lucky nugget as included on the half board plus up until Nov 09.

It does say that restaurants can be withdrawn or changed but I think they have gone about this the worng way and should provide what they are advertising until Nov at least.

Oooh you lucky thing :yay: I'll have to see if I can get hold of a new map, I have an old one someone brought me back.

I wonder would they honour it then if you showed the map and the list?

I'll try and look at the sign outside later or tomorrow and see what it says outside as it usually says on the menu which half board they accept

i really hope they sort all this confusion out with the vouchers or i wont be getting them for my next trip. i dont think it is asking too much to make sure that paying customers are getting the right information

Well I had a reply to my email

Thank you for contacting Disneyland Resort Paris.
You can indeed pay for the character meal at the Lucky Nugget using your half board plus.
I would suggest contacting our restaurant reservation team to reserve your place for the meal. Their number is +33 160 304 050

I am going to print it out lol and take it with me.:)

I also e-mailed guest relations and got this reply this morning.

We thank you for your e-mail regarding your reservation.

You can use your Half Board Plus vouchers at the Lucky Nugget. As far as Half Board Meal Plans do not guarantee a table reservation, advance reservation is highly recommended. Call our Dining Reservation Service on +33 1 60 30 40 50. Half Board vouchers are also accepted for their monetary value in most fine-dining restaurants, Character Meals and Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show (except Rainforest Café, Planet Hollywood, Kings Ludwig Castle and McDonald's). The difference must be paid if the total exceeds the value of the voucher. No refund will be given if the total is less than the value of the voucher.

We wish you a wonderful holiday at Disneyland Resort Paris.

Kindest regards,
Manolo

We called into Lucky Nugget to query this and were told that with plus it will cover the meal but no drinks are included. If you have premium you can add drinks up to the value of the voucher

We took a photo of the menu so I'll check the price for you. The menu still said it was a buffet and no mention of the Goofy show - sorry we didnt ask if/when it was changing
