When booking a room ....

... do you give your preferences there and then or do you leave it until nearer the time and contact the Resort directly?

Just wondering which is the best way to do it.

I usually give my whenever I make the reservation. They will only guarantee smoking or non-smoking request. On our last visit I asked to be near OPR at CBR and it worked. At the GF I asked for a MK view and I got it also. You can also fax your request to the resort about 4 days prior to arrival. It is easier if you don't ask for certain room numbers and such. I'm sure that other won't agree with me on that.

They will note it on your reservation request...no guarantee.
I also include any request in a FAX a few days before.
I was told when we made out reservations that the requests are filled according to when the reservations are made.
