I am Michelle and I am from upstate ny and me and my mom are planning our first trip to WDW since I was 5! We are also going to be celebrating my 28th bday (Oct 15) IN THE PARK!!!! Hello disney freebies! lol :cheer2: I am not sure what resort we will be staying at but I love the looks of the all stars minus the sports and pop century so far. um...thats about it....later yall.

My DW and I stayed at POP Century a couple years back for an overnighter while waiting to cruise DCL. It was nice. We sometimes have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside but have lost interest in that this past October. Only because the food court has really gone downhill. The rest of Riverside is very nice and not expensive.

We lived about 20 minutes from Potsdam, in Ogdensburg. No one truly knows the meaning of upstate, unless you live a few miles from Canada. Whenever someone would ask us where we were from, we would say upstate NY and they would say oh near Buffalo or Syracuse? lol :rotfl:

It's a small world indeed. I spent 5 years as a deacon at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Gates, 1993-1998. Still have friends in Gates.
As for the "F.O.", it's a phrase that was created from another discussion board site we are a part of for a Dis cruise coming up in October. It means, First On, as when you are the first to post on a page. The F.O. is only such when you immediately post the second time claiming the F.O. before someone else posts ahead of that second post claiming the F.O. That is what I did to keep you from getting the F.O..

We lived an hour from Watertown. It's really gotten big in the last few years! Rochester is nice - we went there last year when my dad had a business meeting there. It is way too far from WDW though! ;)

Yup - They made new exit ramps, tore down a whole bunch of shops and restaurants, and are building a bunch more. Now they have a target, kohls, and bed bath and beyond. It's really weird to see how much it has grown. I remember when I was little there were only a few restaurants and the mall.


We had a 23 hour drive to WDW. We never fly either and I wouldn't want to. I like the drive-you can feel the excitement building up as you get closer! It's hard to leave your parents, especially if you would be over 20 hours away. Maybe you could move down to Florida and bring your parents with you! ;)
