Has anyone found a way to get th original Wishblade to work with Vista that does not involve buy their $100 software?

As if it wasn't bad enough to hav emy PC die right before tax time, not I've lost my WIshblde. :( I can't believe tha tafter I spent $450 for their machine, I have to buy $100 software to make ist work again. I've contacted Xyron, but they've pretty much told me "sucks to be you" 3 times. I didn't expect free, but some break for customer loyalty would be nice. WHy have customer service , though, when they've got you over a barrel? The new WB one is only $399 and it comes with the software, but I'll end up putting $550 into my old one if I want it to work again. :guilty:

Just wondering if anyone here has found another. Having a $450 paper weight is just not appealing to me. TIA!

I was in a similar situation a year ago! Xyron really dropped the ball on this issue, and as a result, they lost me as a customer.

What I ended up doing was selling my blue WB on my local Craig's List (I think I got $150 for it), and I turned around and bought a QK Silhouette. Same cutter, different vendor. :)

Not much help, I'm sure, but there's someone else out there who felt your pain!
