I knew there was a reason I asked maroo on this trip!! My brain functionality hits an all stop when something like this is thrown out. Period.
Get out a pad and paper (and a good calculator) and start punching numbers. Then scratch your head, ask yourself waht you just did, crumple up your paper, then just go what "feels" right. I don't suggest this for relationships or religion, but for Disney is works.
Gut feeling--- Free Dining is still better. But be honest when you go to figuring out what you'd eat. If you'd split meals then add it up that way. Add up what you'd REALLY eat, realistically!
that's nice

We are using a TA this time.. so far so good. Actually she used to check in on my TR & PTR.:rolleyes1 LOL
I emailed her my questions and she figured out it is cheaper to stick with the FD. If I was at a deluxe, the code would be a better deal.:upsidedow

HERE WE GO AGAIN!
Melody was talking to her dad this morning and he told her he has a week from his timeshare that he has to use by February 10, 2010 and he will give it to us. It's too bad he didn't let us know earlier because we could of used it October. We can't use it in March because it will expire in Feb.
So what to do? Melody told me that she would like to see Disney decorated for Christmas. LOLOL I wonder who has more of a Disney addiction... Melody or me?:confused3 :rotfl: :confused3
Then she said she doesn't want to wear Disney out. Then started saying that we would have to get more tickets... we wouldn't have enough days. I quickly reminded her that we can upgrade her 10dayNE tickets to AP's in October. :rolleyes1
So we will have to see what comes of this. She will find out more info later today or tomorrow.

Oh my goodness...this is too funny! :) 3 times in 6 mos? YOWSERS! :lmao: Hey, go for it if you can! Have you guys been there during Xmas? We were there last year from 17-22 Nov and it was so much fun! You'll have to keep us updated to say the least!
I'm thinking the free dining pin is a better deal but I'm not sure? I usually just call Disney directly with the PIN's and see what the price would be and to make sure there's availability left.
I would like to stay at the WL so $169 sounds nice...

Well the rumor is that on Tuesday October 27th ADR's are going back to 180 days. That means that I would have to book all our ADR's for our March trip on that day. I'm sure it will be crazy!!!!! Hopefully the park schedules will be out on Monday the 26th so I can have some kind of tentative schedule in mind.

Hi I read your Tr and loved it and have now found your PTR. Almost caught up:cool1:. We live in south florida used to live in orlando and I heard you wanted a water park. When are you going exactly again I forgot. But the end middle of the months to cold. But the weather is always so different that time of year. One week it's 50s next week it's mid 90s you never know. Hope to finish catching up on your PTR it's 1 and a little past my bed time. Early day tomorrow:surfweb:. By the way I almost forgot Juliana is adorable. when I saw her baby pictures I laughed because she has the exact same face too cute. Treasure this age because they get old fast. One of mine just turned 11 today. :scared1:. I think I'm going to go work on Tr untill I fall asleep. I neglected it lately reading other peoples:rotfl:. Check out if you get a chance. I also have to hear how renting the house turns out.
Have a good night:hug::flower3:

Well the 1st trip is October 3-8, 2009 and the second trip is March 6-14, 2010. I was thinking of a water park possibly on Tuesday October 6th.. the day we are going to goto MNSSHP. But I think we are just going to take it easy and hang out at the POP pool.
I'm sure renting the house will be fun. I'll keep everyone informed on how that experience goes.

Hii Tim,
I heard your were thinking of going on december. We were there nov 25 through the 30 last year. Let me see if I can tempt you to go. Heres the top 5 reasons
# 1
http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww105/efemily07/S6302334.jpg
The characters look really cute in their holiday gear
# 2
http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww105/efemily07/S6302268.jpg
that castle 'sigh'
# 3
http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww105/efemily07/S6302344.jpg
Mainstreet and there are great christmas card pictures waiting to be snapped all over the world
# 4
http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww105/efemily07/S6302374.jpg
The decorations with the bonus great weather especially coming from the north. I guess thats 2 reasons
and # 5

http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww105/efemily07/S6302410.jpg

THE OBSORNE (is that how you spell it) LIGHTS. If your in Disney during this then you MUST MUST MUST pay them a visit. And snap a pictures of Juliana's reaction
O.K well hope I helped. I probally took up a page of your thread:lmao:. I actually cut back with the lights pictures
Also for your question on the rides
me- The magic kingdom classics hm, sm, pooh, buzz, peter
DD1- TSM
DD2- Splash, tt
Dh- Tot, soarn, tsm, buzz
In your magic kingdom list you I don't think you mentioned philhar or the parade. I think Juliana would love it. But that's just my 2 cents.

The first time she saw PhilharMagic she didn't love it. But in March she was totally into it! She was jumping out of her charir trying to touch everything!
I haven't checked the park schedule in a while but I think Spectro will be going on when we are in MK. So I'm sure we'll stop to see the afternoon parade and Spectro!
Your top 5 are really good. It is going to be tough for us to go do to work schedules. I have no vacation so if I don't work I don't get paid! We are still trying to figure out if this is going to happen. Those Osborne pictures are really great!
Are you asking us what our favs. are??!!

We went on The Land in March for the first time. I wouldn't really call it a ride.. it's more of an attraction. With that being said, we really enjoyed it! It was really neat seeing all the huge veggies and the tomato tree! I wouldn't mind having one of those trees in my backyard!!!:goodvibes

Ohh 45 day mark getting close:dance3::yay:. Friday is my 2 month dance:woohoo::banana:. Is Melody's cousin the one from your TR?
Let me know if the MNSSHP is worth it. I don't think 200$ is worth it for a 5 hour event. We got our season passes for 200 a person so i duna know. Were thinking of a couple different options if the day were going to be at magic kingdom it closes at 7. Help me out
Either
boat to WL walk around. Get our pictures then bus to DTD. And go nuts at WOD (With the passholders you get either 10 or 15% discount:woohoo:)
or
Fantasia mini golf and then beaches and cream for kitchen sink with possibly epcot
or
or magic kingdom resort hop WL, FT for chip n' dale sing along cr for arcade and then mono 2 poly for EWP.

WOW.. you have so many options. I think I'd pick either #1 or #2. I haven't been mini-golfing at Disney so I can't comment about the courses. I'd like to try to tackle the kitchen sink!popcorn::
I had a few pics of Melody's cousin, his wife, and their son on my TR. On our last day they asked her to be the godmother of their soon to be born son (at the time). So this is the reason we are going to Florida. They live just outside of Orlando, so we figured why not stay in Disney while we are there!! LOL

My TA has already sent me an email reminding me that I need to pay the balance and we set up the day when she is allowed to hunt me down and 'take' my money! LOL
Yes, we went to the party last year. We did it on our arrival day. Here is what happened.
We woke Juliana up at 5:30am, got her dressed, and into the car. Drove to pick up Mel's mom then went to the airport. Flew to Orlando and checked in at an offsite hotel. Juliana stayed awake the whole time. We figured she would have at least slept on the plane.... no such luck. We went to the party at 4:30 and she was so exhausted and cranky she didn't really enjoy it. We did go to a dance party, rode some rides, did some trick-or-treating, and saw the parade. Juliana passed out in the stroller about 5 minutes before the fireworks. She slept right through them.. without even flinching. I think we left around 9:45. We were all tired.
SOOOOOO this time we are going to do things a bit different. We are going to the party on a Tuesday after being in Orlando for 3 days. We have a ADR at Chef Mickey's at 9:15am then we will head back to POP to relax!! A swim in the pool, a walk around the resort, and a nap.... sounds right to me. Then we will head over to MK around 4 to pick up our tickets and head to the party. We will probably just meet Mel's cousin at the park, unless she has the day off from work. Then she might meet us earlier. I'll be happy if we make it to 10:30-11pm.:cutie:<-- I never used that before.. figured I'd use it now. LOLOL

I thought so, but you know how it is- you read one too many PTR's or TR's and WHAM! you can't remember diddley squat. I hate that, so have to keep my list down to a sane number. You are one of the lucky magic number 20. :woohoo: Anywho, yeah, I think it best to take it easy the day of the party too. Relax, swim, take in a nice TS meal, sleep in, etc... then hit the park at 4:00 ready to go zonkers.
BTW, thanks for the travel insurance info. over my on our thread. I will have to wander over and take a look.
Creative ways to use the smilies. I"m not a big user of them, unless it needs to drive my point home, or keep me out of hot water. But that one??!! Only for Julianna watching Wishes or something else cute like that.

I was following along with a lot for TR's and I was getting mixed up too! I had to slow down with them because I didn't know what ppl were talking about. I'm back to around 15 now.. much more manageable.
Wow a christmas trip would be awesome. my goal is to go around Halloween and christmas sometime in the future.
So what are you waiting for? BOOK IT!:lmao:

WOW.. you have so many options.
LOL

I remember them. I think I need to cut my Tr list in half. :scared1:Don't worry yours isn't going any where:cheer2: Congrats:dance3: was the baby born yet?
Guess what we made a decision :worship: We have decided on the WL/DTD option. We also changed our schedule. And have more ADRS:banana::dance3:. I'll have to update the PTR but I'll give you the inside dish we now also have cape may for bfast and rainforest dtd but I'm not giving up on Trex. We did the Kitchen sink like I believe 7 years ago. Back when it had 14 scoops instead of 8. Also we did Fantasia mini golf before and Blizzard beach winter. Both were a blast. They have soo many great disney details. If you get a hole in 1 goofy or minnie come over the loud speaker to wish you a good job. Juliana would love it. Maybe on MNSSHP after chef you can bus from the MK to the epcot resorts. Check out the boardwalk. Like you said you want to do and then do the mini golf right next to the Dolphin. Then go back and relax:thumbsup2:confused3:

EXACTLY! How I feel. I've done so much research on the place I want to stay at, I would honestly NOT want to go anywhere else at this point. I don't know maybe I'm stubborn or not "open-minded", but I'm really, really excited about it. (Sorry, you only have to wait 2 more weeks, then all the dirt will come out! So money is now not the only issue! DH found out yesterday he has o get a hip replacement. It will be done in Oct. most likely. So there goes a heck of alot more money and time for healing. At this point I don't even see us going in march now. It's a bummer, but he will be better in the long run.

Yeah, it was quite painful and sad for me to have to quit dancing, basketball, and softball. So, I now live the dancing through my sister since she's on the dance team. But, she's a Senior this year, so it'll be her last year. :guilty:

I can't believe I didn't post this but this month is Juliana's 2 year anniversary of her last chemo. :yay:Her last chemo was August 14, 2007. We are having a party next Sunday for her.. (we aren't really telling people that though) After her November Dr.'s appointment, we should be starting her 6 month appointment schedule for 2? years... I think. I feel like every time we are at her doctors they change their minds about her schedule. It is kind of annoying but they are very pleased with how everything is going with her. For the few weeks leading up to her appointment it always gets a little tense in our house. I doubt it will ever be easy. She still fights when they take her blood... I should take video to show her when she is older but they always need an extra pair of hands to hold her.
I know some of you that have been following along for a while know most of this information. We are just excited about her 2 year anniversary.:goodvibes

CONGRATULATIONS! On Juliana's 2 year anniversary!:banana::dance3::yay::woohoo: What a great reason for a party!
Bella is the same as Juliana with blood draws. We've had as many as 4 adults holding her down! I don't know how a tiny person can be so strong :confused3 Have you ever tried EMLA cream with Juliana? It's a topical anesthetic cream that numbs the area where the blood will be drawn. It is applied 1 hour before the draw (we put it on before we get in the car) and tegaderm is put over it to keep it in place. It works wonders. Now when we have blood drawn, Bella only screams and when they put the blue rubber band around her arm but when it comes time for the actual "poke" she hardly feels it and is already calmed down!

We use emla too. We put it on 2-3 areas on her arms incase they need different spots to draw from. I'm not sure that she is actually feeling pain all the time, she just gets herself really worked up. Then it is hard to get her to calm down. Juliana's nurse won't even do the actual stick. When we went to the clinic before her surgery, we had to force 120ccs of fluid down her throat before her CAT scan. Ever since that day, Juliana's nurse can't do anything to 'hurt' her. LOL:goodvibes

My Q & A lasted about 2 questions. So here is another question for you all.
What is your favorite unknown fact, tip, or secret about MK?
Mine is on Aladdin's Carpet ride. When you are on the ride the camel likes to 'spit' at you. You have to make sure you are not all the way up or the 'spit' will go below you. You have to be about 3/4 of the way up. In a related tip.... if you are walking up to the Aladdin Carpet ride from the 'Hub' there is a camel that likes to spit right onto the walkway. It is always fun to get your unsuspecting family member, in my case my DW, hit with the water! ;)

Golly Gee (did I just say that?) there are so many!! Hidden Mickeys are at the top of my list. Jul will love this!!! Make it a game and see how many she can find.
The shutters in Lib. Square hang crooked because during the war they used the metal hinges for making bullets and replaced them with leather, which stretched over time, making the shutter sag. Cool, huh?
They give out free fudge samples in the Confectionary on MS sometimes.
I already gave my one about getting Juliana to be the guest conductor.
Oh yes!!!! YOu can see Tinkerbell in the shop in the castle (right behind) in a set of drawers. Look in the keyhole in the top drawer. Every minute or so, she lights up.
How's that?

My favorite little known fact at the MK is Mr Toad in the Pet Cemetary. Idk why I dig that so much, but now that I know he's there, I always check him out!!
Oh, and everyone tells you to go to the left on Pirates, don't listen. Watch as people are going up and in. If everyone is going to the left, you go to the right. If everyone is going to the right, you break and go to the right. It's hardly ever that people split 50/50. So I don't listen to the "always go to the left" philosophy. I listen to the "people are sheep, don't be a sheep" philosophy! But I think that's more of a tip than a little known fact...my bad.
Oooo, orrr Corn Dog Nuggets. I know, shush. But seriously, most people don't realize how good these things are. Go people, eat. Enjoy. Calories don't count in Disney World (coincidentally, another little know fact.)

OK here is a bad DISer question. Where is the pet cemetery?
I hope to use that pirates tip. Hopefully I can get Juliana on it this time.
I agree about the calories. Disney has a way of making them not matter. Would you be mad when I told you that I very rarely eat hot dogs. Like almost never..... maybe I could just try one and see what happens?:confused3:confused3 LOL:rotfl:

Corn Dog Nuggets do not equal hot dogs. They're just not on the same page.
And the pet cemetary...as you come out of the Haunted Mansion, on the left the last real themed bit is a gated off area with statues. That's the pet cemetary. Wayyyyy in the back left there's a statue for Mr Toad.

She's actually not in the drawer anymore! There's now twinkling lights that zoom by on the walls every once in awhile, which is supposed to be her flying around and then at the cash register, the CM waves a wand and Tink appears on tv behind them. It really is cute!

We really wanted to fit in MNSSHP. With our experience last year, we wanted Juliana to actually be able to enjoy it. We probably could of went to Epcot on Tuesday morning-afternoon then goto the party. Every time we have been at Disney we go Commando...(sound familiar? :p) So we are going to take it slow on Tuesday before the party.
With our package, we are getting a free round of mini-golf. Then with the AP that I will be upgrading to, we will get BOGO mini-golf. So I'll basically be paying for 1 person, which is $12-$14...i think. So it won't cost me too much $$$$$$
My computer has a screen:surfweb: :rotfl:

Wow that's early too. The town has a pre-K program that is 5 days a week.:scared1: DW & I thought that would be too much for her. Plus Juliana has never been in daycare or around kids on a daily basis. We kinda kept her away from kids for an entire year when she was on treatment.

Melody went to NYC yesterday with our friend Jamie. Jamie is going to be on Good Morning America on Labor Day. She has lost over 100 lbs by changing her diet and excersising and they are going to do a story with her. Jamie had to do the voice overs for the story yesterday... So Melody went down with her. GMA picked them up and drove them home too!
While Mel was gone, Juliana & I finished her 30 day countdown calendar. I used the Home Depot Mickey head as a template and cut out 30 Mickey heads. I put on the numbers and then Juliana & I colored the Mickey's.:artist::rainbow: I didn't know what to put under the heads, so we put Disney stickers under them.... mostly princesses. We just used what we had laying around the house. It isn't the prettiest calendar but Juliana helped and we had fun making it. I'll have to take a picture of it to show you.

We still need to get some glitter to finish it. But I'll try to get a picture up later on today.
LOVE the dance pics! Juliana is such a little ham for the camera! :cutie:
WOOHOO for her 2 year anniversary!!! :cheer2::dance3::woohoo::cool1::banana::banana::ba nana: That is so exciting! How did the party go? (Or have you had it yet?)
I think your WDW plans sound great so far! I don't blame you for taking it easy this time around and stopping to smell the roses, so to speak. :thumbsup2 I want to see a pic of the countdown calendar!! I can't wait till my kids are old enough to do one.
What a fun trip for Mel and her friend!
We had the party yesterday and the weather actually cooperated!!! We had about 50 people.. much less than I thought we were going to have. I'll have to wait to get some pictures from my Dad.. I was busy cooking and entertaining all day I never even picked up my camera. I think Mel took a few pictures... I need to find her camera.
I'm still here! Just so behind all the time, so I don;t always post much! Sounds like a good plan. I like Epcot, but I know what you mean about trying to take it slow. Last trip we were going to elimante AK from the trip, but we ended up doing it and just a half day. I missing any park. LOL!
Don't you hate when life gets in the way of DISing?? LOL:rotfl:
Haha, I don't think it'd be weird! I feel the same way!
There should be a DISer handbook or something! LOL
So what's our next question??
popcorn::
I need to think of one... unless you have a good question for me to ask! LOL:rotfl2:

What would you do if we get rained out, and need to find indoor things to do?
What are you fun little secrets from DHS or Animal Kingdom?
What are you favorite characters and where do you find them?

I see how it is, you don't remember me :snooty:
If you get rained out, grab a poncho and don't stop!
DHS: Not really a secret, but stop, watch & listen to the streetmosphere. They really make the studios! But also in the Muppets, there's a ton of jokes. Like the key under the mat!
AK: The new fastpass distribution system is pretty neat, and I heard someone say that it's not connected to the rest of the park's FP system. Don't know if that's true or not, I heard it after we got back.
I like the safari fab 5. The lines are rarely long, especially if you catch it during a FOTLK show.

I can stay out all day in the rain.. DW not so much! LOL:rotfl:
We love streetmosphere (i think) Those are the performers on Sunset Blvd right????
I will check out the new FS system in AK. If it's not connected you can get 2 different FP's at the same time???? Interesting..

1) A rainy day would be a great day to Resort hop the three Resorts on the monorail. We've done it before and it's so much fun!
2) A secret I just found out about a few trips ago at DHS is the "Singin' in the Rain" umbrella. You just stand under the umbrella, pull the handle, and it's raining!

Okay, seems like we're going with the rainy day things first:
1. Many of the bars have entertainerment too. I think they may even let kids in to listen. Not that I am endorsing getting sloshed with Jul. but it might be fun to listen....
2. Go back to DTD and shop at the smaller specialty stores.
3. Treat Mel to a massage at the GF, then tea at the Garden Tea Room
4. Go find 3 resorts you've never been to and get a snack at each one.
5. Put on a poncho and enjoy no wait lines
6. Try to get in at a sig. restaurant and splurge on a fancy shmancy pants dinner.
Now, onto AK secrets:
1. The temple thingy near Everests lines up when silouetted with EE. Take a nice picture of a cool Imagineer touch.
2. All the shops on Discovery Island have an animal theme. One is migrating animals, another is animals that have stripes or spots, another is animals that herd, and the 4th is??? Go find out. The idea is very clever I think to group them like that.
3. The African singing groups are well worth stopping to watch and boogie to.
4. The artifacts and props in both Africa and Asia ARE REAL. They were imported straight from villages in Indonesia, Khenya, Thailand etc.... That's cool!! (like the rickshaws, bikes, even that snack truck that's p\ainted blue. The mural painted on it is almost 100% original!!!)
5. The monkeys do a territorial song and dance every monrning. If you are there early enough you can hear them do their thing.

OK I have a few things to clear up..... "confessions" anyone???? ;)
First off our friend Jamie is going to be on the 'Today' show NOT GMA!! WOOPS! :badpc: She was in NYC yesterday and they taped the segment that will air next Monday.. Labor Day.
I am finishing Juliana's countdown calendar today. I WILL post pics later on. I have a question.. Since we are leaving home at 5am 10/3, does she pull off the last # then or the day/night before. Obviously this does determine whether we start pulling numbers tomorrow or Thursday.
We have also not received our Mickey mail yet. I'm like a little kid running out and checking every day. WHERE IS IT?????? :confused3:confused3
Finally, we got another PIN code yesterday on my other email address. :yay: When we were thinking about going in November instead of October, I saved the itinerary on the Disney website. It was a email stating I had a saved vacation and to call and use my PIN for a deal. HUMMMMM wonder what it could be????

OOOH...how fun your DW got to go to NYC for the special taping! Next Monday, huh? I'll have to set the DVR. Are you sure you got the right show now? :) :rotfl2: Just kidding..
Funny your nervous about your Mickey Mail - I was just telling myself today that I'm going to call my agent tomorrow. Not to rub it in, but we're a week earlier than you and I know other people leaving around my time and even earlier have already received theirs based on posts I've read. I figure it doesn't hurt to call? Keep us posted!!!
Remember we want to see pictures of the countdown calendar and from the celebration party you had!
AK secrets? I don't think it's really a secret but I remember reading that the benches are all made from recycled milk jugs and there's a cell tower that sort of looks "out of place" when you first walk in to AK so they disguised it next to a tall tree? I'm going to look for this...

My vote is to let her tear off the last one that morning. It will be the final ultimate, get ready, last minute thing to do, that wraps up your wait, and signals to all of you that VACATION is starting!!!
Just me....
Hey! I got a pin code today too!!! Mary's going to call and see what it is... I"m on pins and needles, but I imagine we'll go with plan A (FD) unless it's a better deal.

I'm leaning toward her pulling off the morning you leave, unless you think she'll still be asleep. If you are putting her in the car in p.j.'s then do it the night before. But I agree with everyone else, it would just be cool to pull it off and jump in the car like, hooray it's time to go.

We finished the calendar yesterday. I'm not the crafty type but I tried my best. We had fun making it! I used the Home Depot Mickey head as a template cut out 30 Mickey heads. Then Juliana & I colored them. We put different stickers under them to see when we pull off the heads. I wrote Disney with a toothpick dipped in glue. Juliana helped put the finishing touch on.... the glitter!!!!! We are going to pull off our number in the morning, so tomorrow we will pull off 30. The morning we leave we will pull off the 1! Here is the finished product:

Our party was fun. The weather co-operated and we had about 50 people. I grilled chicken, burgers, & hotdogs. We had all types of salads, coleslaw, ambrosia, and tons of desserts. We also rented a princess bouncy house and the kids loved it. (It is still in our backyard and have bounced everyday since Sunday!!LOL) The adults loved it too because it kept the kids occupied! :thumbsup2

There is a cell tower on the Hutchinson Parkway heading into NYC that is supposed to look like a 'tree'. I think it is the same type that's at AK.

My TA emailed me and our Mickey Mail is on its way. :woohoo: :yay:She sent me a tracking # so I guess it's coming from the actual travel agency.:confused3
DW has informed me that her cousin, his wife, and the 2 boys aren't joining us for MNSSHP. But they might join us on Wednesday. If they do we might not goto DHS, we might goto Epcot to check out the F&W Festival. We just have to make it to FW for our 7:15 HDDR ressie. Which would be fine. We can take the bus to Epcot, take the monorail over to MK, then jump on the boat to FW. Or we can do the boring thing and just take the FW bus from Epcot. LOLOL:lmao:
Side Note: Juliana's 1st day of pre-K is tomorrow. It is an orientation day... 1 parent has to stay with them for up 2 an hour then they get to leave. Her 1st full day by herself is next Friday.princess:

Been lurking :scared1: lately because things have been so busy with a wedding, first day of school, blah blah blah . . . . Sorry for the long post, just wanted to get caught up! My Q & A lasted about 2 questions. So here is another question for you all.
What is your favorite unknown fact, tip, or secret about MK?
Not sure why, :confused3but this random fun fact pops in my head each time I think about MK. Trash bins are placed no more than 27 feet apart because a Disney test showed guests lost patience and discarded chewing-gum wrappers after walking that distance.
First off I missed my 1000th post dance. Somehow I'm well over 1000 now. I don't know what I was writing when I hit my 1000th.:confused3:lmao: Anyways I do my own dance for me ;)

Our Plans and TG crowd predictions.
Here is the crowd predictions while we are there. Doesn't look all too bad if these predictions hold. On Monday we will be going to MK, Tues relax then MNSSHP, Wednesday DHS, & Thurs AK then driving to MCO to fly home.:sad2:
Where did you find the crowd predictions?
EDIT:: Is there a rule to how many times you can post in a row on your own PTR???? LOLOL
No, sometimes I talk to myself too :rotfl::rotfl2:
While Mel was gone, Juliana & I finished her 30 day countdown calendar. I used the Home Depot Mickey head as a template and cut out 30 Mickey heads. I put on the numbers and then Juliana & I colored the Mickey's.:artist::rainbow: I didn't know what to put under the heads, so we put Disney stickers under them.... mostly princesses. We just used what we had laying around the house. It isn't the prettiest calendar but Juliana helped and we had fun making it. I'll have to take a picture of it to show you.
I TOLD you I'd be happy to make mickey heads for you! Men!!!
1. The temple thingy near Everests lines up when silouetted with EE. Take a nice picture of a cool Imagineer touch.

OK I have a few things to clear up..... "confessions" anyone???? ;)
We have the number 1 for the day before we leave (as in 1 day left to go) and we don't have a 0. That way, we won't have to worry about pulling one off the morning we leave. I can just picture us halfway to the airport and the girls suddenly realizing we forgot:eek: to pull off the number and begging to turn around! I call this a preventative measure!
What is this thing called Mickey Mail? I know you have a TA - is it through your agency?

We are renting a car but got the ME tags anyways(don't know why.. I guess if we changed our mind it is easier if we already have the info)

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Yeah for Mickey Mail and glad to hear you got your documents!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: We went by AAA and picked ours up yesterday! :thumbsup2
Seems like reading some recent trip reports the crowds have really "calmed" down a bit so I hope it's like that when we go! Just 3 more Saturdays for us and you're right there too! Is Juliana just so beside herself and excited? My DS is and I even have a few surprises for him so I can't wait - I love surprising people!
Hope you guys had a great weekend!
Heather
I have heard about the crowds too. I think the beginning of September is always slow. As October rolls around, it starts to get busier. Here's to hoping for low crowds!:drinking1
I hope you write a TR.. I want to hear about all your surprises!!!!!!popcorn::

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We are about to go over to our friend Jamie's house to watch her on the Today show!!!
DW & I were checking out which mini-golf course we were going to play at. I think we have decided on Winter Summerland. We were checking out pictures of both and thought Juliana would like WS better.:)
We also found out yesterday that one of Melody's good friends is going to be in Florida the same time we are. Don't know the reason for their trip but I know they are going to be about an hour from Orlando. Now Melody is trying to get them to stay a night at POP! We checked last night and there are rooms for $59. Not to bad. Can't really stay at any hotel for that. So we might have a little more company with us.:cool2:

Sure, I can find find a picture for you. I know about 2 months ago, maybe less, there was a blog here in the DIS (at least I think it was here) of someone who took a bunch of pictures of it, and posted them. It was really cool.
It's also in my AK Imagineers book.
HOWEVER, you'll have to give me a day or two. I"m completely, totally swamped with work right now. Our new teammate arrived from the US yesterday, and we are trying to find a permanent apt. for her etc.... She doesn't speak any of the language yet, so I have to really hold her hand every minute. LONG. DAYS!

She was the newest member of the Joy Fit Club. She lost over 100 lbs. Here a link to her appearance on the show. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/26184891/vp/32629060#32629060

The countdown is on!!!! Before I start with our ADR's and some menu choices I want to let you know about our conversation on Monday at my dad's house....we went over for a mini picnic.
I don't know if you remember (or were late joining) but at a picnic at my brothers house, in the beginning of the summer, my Mom breaks out with 'We should do a family Disney vacation' out of no where. Well yesterday at my dad's the conversation came up again. It actually went as far as everyone agreeing on a Disney land & sea vacation... and some dates to check out. The dates are: Last week of June 2010/2011, September 2010 around Yom Kippur (Jewish Holiday)(my sister teaches and gets the Jewish Holidays off), October 2010 Columbus Day week, and November 2010 Veterans Day week.
Last year my brother and his wife did the land and sea 7 days for $800pp including park tickets. So I started searching the last week of June and just for the sea portion it was around $4500 for DW, DD, and I.:scared1::scared1:
I have no clue how they got that deal. I think they booked it off of Expedia or one of those sites. I do realize that time of year has something to do with it but $4500 is a HUGE price difference to what they paid. I think I need to spend some time on the DCL boards and try to pick up some tips.
If anyone has ideas let me know! DW & I have also started talking about starting the process of getting Juliana her wish. I'm pretty sure she would want to goto Disney... plus DW & I are not getting any younger:hourglass(like the possibility of having a baby)

We just booked a cruise leaving Jan 31 for 7 days. We're with Carnival and it's costing us $1000 for 2 adults. With Disney, it was over $2000... Even I couldn't justify that.

Personally, I'm thinking the Sept., 2010 dates sounds just about right. We could instantly go from TC3 to TC6- see how that works??
I could do a week at WDW 3 times over for THAT price. No way would I pay $4,500 for what you'd get. No. WAY!
Awwww, a little brother or sister... so sweet! And way better than all the time in the world at Disney.

I can book a Carnival cruise for 4-5 days for $200-$300pp Then I can splurge at Disney.....like get crazy and stay at the Poly or something. $4500 seems like a LOT of money for 4 days.... Basically $1200 a day... I'd fly out to Hawaii for that price.
Leisa... I'm going to check your dates again... you never know!:rolleyes1 You will be in Disney the beginning in September.. We are looking towards the end of September. :sad2:

I signed up Juliana to be on the Fairy Godmailer List! We found a FGM last night!!!! She will be so excited to receive a card from Cinderella!!!!
We are arriving Saturday morning, picking up the rental car, and heading over to POP. Our flight lands at 10:30 so I'm thinking we will be able to get to POP by 12. Hopefully we will be able to get into our room. Now with staying for 5 days we get 5TS, 5CS, and 5 snacks X3. The TS are pretty much spoken for but I need to work on where we are going to use those CS and even 15 snacks over 5 days. I'm thinking if we get into our room and settled we might just eat a CS at POP for lunch. Down to 12. Then we are going to drive over to Ocoee- where Mel's cousin lives. We will most likely have dinner there.
Sunday morning is the baptism. I'm not sure what time it is yet. So depending on the time, we might eat breakfast at POP or just grab something quick on the road. Here are my choices:
APP-
Chicken Licken', Calamari City, or Scallop Forest.
Dinner-
BLT salad (maybe add the shrimp)
It's not bleedin' chowder... probably too heavy???
Traditional Guinness and Onion Banger
Crock 'o' Mussels
Desserts-
Can I try each one??? LOL

I know DW will share a little Tonga Toast with me. Of course we will get the pressed pot... it's the only coffee I will drink. I will also order the Lilikoi Juice. UMMMMMMMMMM what? No Tonga toast? I had to see what it was all about. Picture a 1/4 loaf of bread (sourdough)with bananas inside, lightly battered, lightly fried, then rolled in cinnamon & sugar. Then they give you the strawberry sauce to dip it in. It's actually like having a dessert for breakfast..... and who doesn't like dessert for breakfast?:lmao:

I'm thinking I'll be getting the BLT salad, and either the pork chops or the chicken, with the chocolate cream cheese buckle. I can see Melody getting the Castle Salad, Salmon, and buckle. Juliana would probably want the pasta... OK not probably..She WILL want the pasta.popcorn::
One good thing about the 4pm ressie is that after dinner we will still have time to ride some rides before Spectro @ 8 and the Wishes @ 9. I'm thinking we are going to have to watch Spectro from the Hub and just park it there to see Wishes. I want Juliana to be able to see Tink fly. She was amazed in March when she saw this. So I don't want to be too far down Main St. Then after the fireworks we will be part of the herd making its way to the busses. I know the line for POP is going to be ridiculous but what are ya gonna do?????:confused3

I highly doubt after eating like a pig at Kona you'll need anything much before 4:00. (btw, you could a had FREE Dole Whip, you know, dates can be adjusted- and Dole Whips do call for such action)
My opinion, if asked for, would be:
BLT salad, (which would completely fill me up before the entree even ungraced its heat lamp podium position)
The Pasta- which I'd eat 1/2 of, bringing their total cost to oh, roughly $2.39
Creme Brulee'- Again, an egg, 1/2 cup milk and tablespoon of sugar. Grand total of brulee'- let's round up and say $.50 or so.
Grand total- $2.89
Add in cost of overhead for castle?- 2 CM's at 1 hour-- $20
You're still paying twice as much as it's worth.
But hey, it's all about location, location, location. We learned that little lesson last night (earlier in the day for you), eh?
Don't run around like cattle in a cheap western flick after Wishes! Grab a last minute Coke and settle yourselves down on a bench in front of Caseys and watch the Kiss Goodnight for a half and hour. You are getting a stroller for Jul., right?? She'll be asleep, you can kiss Mel in a most romantic place- and get things going on that passing comment you made earlier. :rolleyes1. Then you can amble down Main Street like sane folk and waltz onto a semi-empty bus. Voila!

the chocolate bucke is to die for. I could eat that stuff every day, I swear. I had the corn choweder and that was awesome too. DH had the BLT sald and we laughed becuase they brought out a hlf a head of lettuce with the toppings on top of it. LOL! I guess that fancy. Tells you what we know about fancy. :confused3 I had the prine rib and I can't remember if DH had the pork chops or something else. I'm thinking pork chops and they were a bit dry but OK,the prime rib was good, but not the best I ever had.

Wow you have a lot of great dining places picked out already....
I'm still here, just can't check DIS reports as frequently now that I'm working like real hours at work and chasing two kids around. Having two is nothing like having one ;):lmao: scared? :rotfl2:
No, having two can be a lot of fun, then Juliana will have a playmate sometimes. I hope you and your family are blessed with another soon.
Now back to that menu.... I can't wait to try the tonga toast and the macadamia pancakes, all because of your last TR. So much so that I'm planning on the Kona breakfast to be oop for us. I can't wait to see pictures when you get back from your trip.
Lucky me, I have two boys, no need for CRT:rotfl2: But I will be anxious to see some lovely pictures of your adorable daughter and the princesses. Do you know if you are getting the princesses or the fairy godmother? I heard one of the meals is just the fairy godmother and mice, someone was disappointed on their TR, something for you to check on if you were planning to see all the princesses.
ok, time for bed, my little one hasn't been sleeping well, getting our baby molars :scared1:

After CM's we are going to go play mini-golf at Winter Sumemrland and swim at the POP pool. I would think we would grab a bite to eat at POP for lunch.. Then we will get ready to go to MNSSHP for 4-4:30. We don't have an ADR for dinner but after reading onelilspark dining report, we might try Columbia Harbour House for dinner. This is still up in the air. We might just eat at the closest CS when we get hungry.
Juliana insists that she is going to dress up as Alice for MNSSHP. I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to be. I'm dressing up this time! Melody mentioned she might be Jasmine. The Disney store has the adult costume which doesn't has the open belly.:rotfl: I wouldn't mind being DJ Lance from Yo Gabba Gabba... but I should do something Disney. So another question for you... WHAT SHOULD I DRESS UP AS FOR MNSSHP????? I NEED IDEAS!!!!!!!!!

I'm all about coordinating costumes with my kiddos....it's a problem I know, especially now that Jack is getting older and has his own ideas for costumes :confused3;):lmao:
so here is my suggestion, my two cents, for whatever it's worth:
if Juliana is dressing up like Alice............ you should totally go as the Mad Hatter, come on you knew someone was going to suggest that didn't you? And I think you could really carry off the personality, :rolleyes1 meant as a compliment for sure :thumbsup2
Or maybe you could be the white rabbit or a card or something a long those lines
We are so going to Chef Mickey's too, that is one place I know is a MUST for my family, all the classic characters, the fab five, can't wait:yay::woohoo: Take lots of pictures for us :)

1 thing though.. DJ Lance is a twig. I have a little 'more' to me around the waist than he does. I've been looking online for the costume, which they have, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Plus how do you get that 'BOOM BOX' to Florida? Maybe it could be carry-on!! LOLOL

I was thinking of this too. I saw this costume which consists of the jacket and hat for $80!!! 2 things.. 1. I don't know if I was to spend that much money. 2. I really don't want to chance wearing a jacket & long pants around Disney in 80 degree weather. LOL:lmao:
Now if I dressed up as the white rabbit... that would be cute and absolutely hilarious!!!! :rotfl2::lmao:

Hi tim,
I'm all caught up. Sorry haven't had much dis time lately. Yay! I inspired you to do golf. We did WS and Fantasia. For WS we did winter but summer looked tempting too. We're doing Fantasia just because it's right across the street from the Dolphin vs. Taking a AK bus. If you do Fantasia then you could explore the boardwalk and maybe even sneak into epcot for a while. If you get APs.
Oh and I'm thinking of canceling my October trip.
and moving it to November 10-16. The Obsorne lights and MVMCP start the 10th and Emily's bday is on the 15th.
Oh and your questions
DHS- I read on allears the other day that they have the pixar lamp. Across the street from TSM they have him dance to music every 15-20 min. It's on my list.
Epcot- Hidden characters. In a shop in UK they have Tigger, Eeyore, and Pooh together. Also varios characters all over WS with short lines. Auhora in france. In many Trs I read she is always by herself. So juliana would get some extra time.
Magic Kingdom- waking up tinkerbelle
Ak- You can be in the parade:dance3:. When you get there go to Guest relations I think celebrate parade too.
And a baby??:lovestruc:banana:

First off... Disney333, thanks for the Pixar Lamp tip! I've just added it to my growing list of hidden gems to-be-seen list. It's quite impressive already! But this is tooooo good; I'm still geekin' out about it!! (had to throw that in as a nod to our weekend's movie pick- The Incredibles. I love that line!)
Now, onto Chef Mickeys. Now, that's a place I can envision you eating your money's worth at. man, that menu looks good. Good enough to spend a long time in there, in fact.
Ha! I did notice the grey goose slushie too! Funny!
I must confess, I must be pop-culturally retarded, because I've not the foggiest clue who this absurd looking dude is with obnoxious clothing and a too-large boombox. Can someone enlighten me as to the draw here??
Tim, you've got to go Disney here. A card would be cute, so would the mad hatter, but not the rabbit. Can you say roast your dogs off!! No Way!
Okay, enough for now. You've made me hungry for cheese blintzes as per CM menu. I think I'll go make some.

i believe that i read that Columbia harbor house is closed during MNSSHP. i see that you are going early, but i'm not sure how early it will close.
as for the baby that may be some day in the future- i know that everyone is different, but i love having mine 3.5 years apart- they absolutely adore each other, and the fact that my dd can go and run to get whatever i forgot to get before i sat down to feed the baby- well that is a definite bonus too.

love the pictures with Aurora! She's my favorite princess! FYI- I don't know when Tink got this added to her, but when I was there in July she was outlined with lots of cool lights...when I was there in May of 08 she didn't have them. I love seeing her fly down! I'm going to do the same thing for the parade- except I need to find a bench to sit on for the older people in my party!

I'll continue with my day-by-day dining plan tomorrow, but I have a few thoughts and some news to share.
Did you hear Patrick Swayze died tonight? He lost his battle with cancer. I hate cancer. When I hear that word I feel like it is a curse word... something you should never say. I hate that 'we' have no way to stop cancer from occurring. There was a little girl from the town next to us- 3 years old- who battled cancer that attacked her brain stem. She went to St. Jude's in April and it was found that they couldn't operate. She received chemo that helped to shrink her tumor 75%. She came home and was getting her motor skills back and enjoying life. Then 2 weeks ago something wasn't right. Her parents brought her to the Children's Hospital here in CT. Her cancer had spread and there was nothing anybody can do. She ended up dying last week. Just 3 years old. Like I said I hate cancer.
I need a sec........
Look down at the bottom of my post... see my ticker????.. NO not that one.. the other one.. the one that says 180 days? I should of been making ADR's right now for March. I heard a rumor that they might move up the new date from October 27th to September 27th. Does anyone know/heard any info on this? If it is October 27, me and a million other people will be jamming the phone lines trying to make ADR's. I don't have confidence in the online system to handle all these requests.. I can see the website crashing. Would it be too hard to stagger the ADR's booking by weeks or something. Like the week of October 27 being February then the week of Nov. 3 March?
I hope you realize by now that I love Disney. I look forward to our trips more than my DW & DD. I love finding out any info I can and love the planning aspect of going to Disney. With this being said, has anyone listened to the podcasts from the DIS? I subscribed to the podcast about 2 weeks ago. I've tried to listen to 3 different episodes about 5 times each and I can't make it through 10 minutes of it.:sad2: Between the horrible sound quality, raspy voices, and all the off topic banter, I can't stand it. I hope you don't flame me.. and I hope the 'higher ups' don't kick me off here because of saying this. I really want to like this and enjoy it but it's just not happening for me. Do any of you listen to the casts? What are your thoughts? Am I way off base here? What am I missing??
I'm still waiting to book our rental car for our trip. I've been getting Alamo emails for the last 2 months about every other week with great deals. Come on Alamo, I need my email next week! I want a fullsize for under $160. It can happen... I know it can.
We are going to purchase tickets to see The Princess & The Frog in NYC before it is released to all the other theaters. We asked both of our Moms to come and they said yes. So the 5 of us will take the train into NYC and go see the movie. After the movie there is a meet and greet with all the princesses including Tiana. There will be a Disney animator there teaching how to draw. Props and costumes from Disney movies. And alot more! Then after the show we will probably go to the Times Square Disney store and check out the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center. I just wanted to share this with you. We didn't tell Juliana yet.:rolleyes1
I hope you are having a great day. If you have kids, give them a hug tomorrow for no reason.

Cancer sucks. My mom lost her battle nearly 4 years ago. 50 years young, non smoker, non drinker, lover of life. It's not fair.
Now I need to take a moment.
I'm having the same issues as you with the podcasts. After hearing Maroo talk about them, I envisioned podcasts playing as I merrily cleaned the house each day whilst the children were at school. Unfortunately, I have a hard time listening because of the same problems you mentioned above. I feel like I have to sit down and concentrate on listening (because of the static, inside jokes, etc) instead of just casually listening. Maybe I just need to practice more!
I am soooooooo jealous that you and Juliana get to see the Princess and the Frog. I wish my in-laws still lived in Jersey so we had an excuse to go to NYC. Alas, we're forced to wait til the national release. Hopefully it will help us overcome our PDD after we return from Bella's Wish Trip. Have a wonderful time and don't forget to share all the juicy details with us here on the DIS.
RIP Patrick Swayze

Issue:
#1- Not sure I ever saw Dirty Dancing? Maybe, hmmm.. don't recall, which means maybe it just didn't do anything for me if I did. Nevertheless, you are right, cancer is an evil of this fallen world we live in. One day, it will be redeemed, and restored as it was intended to be. There is a Hope!!!
#2- I've never listened to the podcasts. I just don't have the time. I've actually downloaded 3 of them, and they are sitting in my itunes "place", but after reading this, I think I'll just delete them. by the way, maroo has other favorites that she listens to more frequently, and speaks a bit more highly about. :rolleyes1
#3- So. Jealous!!! I would love to go to an opening; I'm really, really looking forward to this movie! Classic animation is king, and I'm so glad Disney is making another go of it. AND- bonus, it's set in a place very similar to- where else, but POR!!! Cool!
Going to hug my kids now, just cuz.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Sometimes I think people get desensitized to cancer and what it means because the word is used so freely. I remember after Juliana got diagnosed, I felt like I heard something to do with cancer everyday.
I'm going to ask Maroo which one's she listens to over on her PTR unless she is still here... OH MAROO YOU OUT THERE?????? :lmao:
Well the tickets are ordered for The Princess and the Frog!!! We are going on December 1st!

1. He was in more movies than just Dirty Dancing.... ever seen Ghost? My sister used to watch Dirty Dancing all the time as a kid. I must of seen it 100 times. LOL
I hope you are right about this... there needs to be a cure or prevention in the future. Hopefully for my kid(s) sake, someday I will witness it.
2. I will repeat... MAROO you still here? :goodvibes
3. It is opening the day before Thanksgiving.. but I don't think I want to travel into the City on the busiest travel day of the year. So we will wait till the next week. It is still before the rest of the country though!! I'll think of you when they are walking through the streets of New Orleans in the movie! LOL

Leisa is the one who hasn't seen Dirty Dancing. I guess they don't have TBS or get re-runs over there in Blank-a-stan!!! LOLOL:lmao: I actually like Ghost (for a chick flick).. DON'T tell anybody. I like Whoopee in it.. she is pretty funny.

It was such a sad moment when I heard Patrick Swayze passed away. I remember seeing him for the first time I watched 'Dirty Dancing' when I was younger. I had a crazy crush on him. But, it wasn't just that..it was such a good movie and he was a good actor. He made me want to be Baby.
I hate cancer. Of course, no one likes it. It personally robbed me from ever meeting my uncle. It just took the life of a family friend today I found out. How is it that bad things always happen to good people? It's just not fair. :guilty:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us - sad to lose PS and I heard Ethan Zohn's (or Zahn) from Survivor's cancer is back too. I hope he does okay....

I shall now coin the term: MMS. That's for Moody Male Syndrome, in case you didn't get it. And not to be snarky, but it can be worse than the female counterpart affliction. I know, I have a husband. If he's in a funk, everyone else is too.
Nevertheless, I would say, you have every right to ask these really tough questions about the state of this world, and the crappiness it can sometimes hold. The asking can actually be a very good thing, in fact. If at the very least, it can bring us closer to our Maker; but that is a choice left to you. The other choice is becoming angry and bitter.
Okay, I'll now step down off my soapbox, and return you to your regularly scheduled posting.

Yesterday Melody ordered Juliana's Alice costume. She also ordered the Jasmine costume for herself. So I need to make a decision.. maybe I'll be Aladdin? I'm running out of time.. I need to get on the ball! Plus I just found out my friend Dave,(the one from Indiana) already has the whole DJ Lance costume. They will be in CT for Halloween because they have a wedding to attend here. So now I can't be him.:sad2:
I guess time does heal, but everyday when I give Juliana a bath or she gets dressed, her scars are always there and visible. They never go away.... It is a reminder of what she went through. She doesn't understand it yet.

WOW our trip is already 1/2 over.. Actually we will be going home the next day!!! Let's not dwell on that.... let's talk about Wednesday!
After MNSSHP on Tuesday night, I'm sure we will be a little tired. We might sleep in till 8 but I doubt it. We have a RD to make at MG.... ummm I mean DHS! I'm thinking we might just stop at POP and grab a quick bite. How many CS do I have left? I lost count. LOL I think we will have 6-7 left. We will head the the Studios and walk with the cattle over to TSM and get our FP's then ride it!!!
We have eaten at Studio Catering Co., Calalina Eddie's, and Toy Story Pizza Planet CS before.. Tinkgirl ate at Backlot Express and it sounded pretty good. So if we are on that side of the park I might suggest there. But we will most likely just eat where ever we are when we get hungry. Anyone have any CS 'hidden gems' in DHS that we should eat at??? I can see us leaving the studios around 5ish and taking the bus over to MK. Then we will lake the boat over to FW for our dinner ressie at the Hoop-Dee-Do Review!!! I think you know what we will be eating but here is the menu anyway:
WHAT IS IT? The Hoop-Dee-Doo review is one of the longest running shows at Walt Disney World.
Entertainment: While you enjoy an all you can eat dinner, you are entertained by good old fashion country western singers, dancers and comedians. Be prepared for slapstick, corny jokes and lots of singing and dancing.
Your meal, brought to your table includes:
Starters: Tossed salad, loaf of bread and honey butter
Ma's Delicious Fried Chicken
Smoked Barbecued Pork Ribs
Mashed Potatoes
Country Style Baked Beans
Strawberry Shortcake
Included with the meal: Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Root Beer, Sprite, Orange, Pink Lemonade, Iced Tea, Apple Juice, Milk, Chocolate Milk, Hot Tea, Coffee, Draft Bud Light, Chardonnay, Rose, Sangria, and Merlot
For your added enjoyment, there are bottled beers:
Corona $5.25
Sam Adams $5.25
Miller Lite $4.25
Heineken $5.25
Margarita $6.50
Add Glow Cube to any drink $4.00
Plus Tax and 18% gratuity
There goes another 6 TS meals.. so we are out of TS. I think the boats will still be running when we are done so we will take the boat back to MK. If this meal is timed right we might be able to see Wishes while we are on the boat headed over to MK. Once at MK we will get on the POP bus and head back. Our final day is Thursday.:sad2:

Personally, I've gone over, and over, and over the menus for the CS options at DHS, and NOTHING sticks out as very palatable. AT. ALL. Added that to the no-less-than-scary reviews I've read, I think we'll be leaving and heading over to the Boardwalk area for eats. But, hey all that could change in the course of 11 months. Who knows?
Hoop... I LOVE me some Hoop!
It is soooo, soooo funny! You really have to be in a super silly mood, to get the full effect! Just for the record, the sangria stinks! It's so watered down you might as well not bother. Plus, you may never see your server for a refill, thus keeping things in a sober Disney fashion.
You guys will love it. Bring earplugs.

Woo! I'm mentioned. :woohoo: The Backlot Express is really good and they have TONS of seating. There's even some nice tables outside all under shade if you can't find one inside!
Oh fun...the Hoop-Dee-Doo! It really is a good time. We haven't been there in a long time, but I'm sure it hasn't changed much. The food is great as well. You guys are going to have a blast! Have you ever heard of Alex's Lemonade Stand? http://www.alexslemonade.org/slideshow I think you'd like the organization.
Also, I don't like the DIS podcasts. Funny enough, it got me into podcasts, but I just didn't like them, kind of negative. I like WDW Today (they're mostly 20 minutes, and come out every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday.) They can be a little critical sometimes, but it's more like honest feedback rather than negativity, so I like it a lot. But I do find myself correcting them sometimes, and I think that says much more about me than them... And I like WDWRadio Show. That's a super positive one. Like I think he takes Happy Pills. But it's fun! (And long, which is awesome for me & my long drives!)

Definitely a 2 thumbs up for Starring Rolls! Don't those sandwiches look great?

I'm multi tasking - so watch it In case I make mistakes! :rotfl2:
I suggest a Pirate - its very manly!! Aladdin would be good too - but a Pirate would be fun - - have you asked Julianna? She seems very wise and would love to help you with a costume!!
Hoop de Doo we took the boys there when they were young (6 and 8) they were tired, fell asleep, and we didnt have a nice table - plus it was cold in there - I now always remember to bring a sweater for DD because of HDD!! $4 for a glow cube :scared1: I"m going to just have to bring my own!! :rotfl2:
DHS Everyone complains, rightly so, of the CS options at DHS - I love Backlot Express - the thing about BE - timing... timing is everything - if you hit it just right, no lines, empty tables - IF you wander in as Indy Jones is exiting - HUGE crowds from there come in to BE!! Dh and my dad appreciated sitting down with a beer!!
that's nice

I hope they changed the sangria, that's what Melody would probably drink. For the price you pay nothing should be watered down! We won't be drunk by any means but I'd like to have a few beers. I have to order them early.

I think between her Cinderella costume which she will probably wear on Monday in the MK and her Alice costume for MNSSHP, I doubt we will bring any other costumes. Nice idea though! LOL

I had totally forgotten about Starring Rolls!! That is actually our backup plan in case we don't go over to the Boardwalk area for lunch!!!
We had the MOST awesome cherry danish thingy there, and they make a wonderful (REAL deal) latte there! It was delish for a late breakfast!!
Definitely a 2 thumbs up for Starring Rolls! Don't those sandwiches look great?
Melody would be all over that Veggie Pita! Geez, I should have been taking notes all along. Now I have 46 pages to sort through to get all my ideas in one place!!!:lmao:

I was thinking a pirate. Pirate's are fun and the ladies seem to like em too! LOL Juliana keeps saying the Mad Hatter. I really don't want to be wearing a jacket in early October.
I will have to remember to bring sweatshirts for Juliana and Melody. I am rarely cold. LOL I always bring glowsticks at home for night time. It costs me $6 for a tube of 100. It probably costs $6 for one in the park... I wouldn't know the price. I never bought em. LOL Maybe we can bring our Rainforest Cafe cups that light up and flash.:rotfl:
Thanks for the tip about B.E. If I see the crowds exiting, we will turn around and run! :goodvibes

All7ofus- Your welcome. I'm so excited I saw lamp on allears but it isn't on anymore. It was just last week:confused3. Try to google or youtube him. I"ll take many pictures of him on my trip for you I promise.
Tim- The Aurora pictures are so cute. Thanks for posting the list of characters. I saw they have Pinoch in Italy Emily is a huge fan so we will be seeing him.
The ones that say 'Character connection Innovations west.' Is that Character Spot? Where exactly is it?
Also today I was at publix and I saw they had Kona coffee. I thought about you when I saw it. It was $6.99 for the bag that makes about 25 cups. A lot cheaper then Disney.

Thank you.princess: Here is the list of characters in the WS. http://allears.net/tp/ep/ep_char.htm It doesn't say Aurora is France though.:confused3 Also we've seen Mushu in China with Mulan a few times.
Juliana says to us the other night while we were eating dinner 'I want a baby sister' We ask her why. She says 'Because I want someone to play with' UGGG way to go Ana putting more thoughts into your mom's head!! LOLOOLOLOL:rotfl2:
My DD's are 12 1/2 years apart, with no one in between them. Paige wanted a sister so bad. She has an older borther (my son) and then 2 younger brothers at her dads house. Of course the thrill of a sister wore off fast. She was no longer th "only" girl and no longer my baby. Plus she was entering the teen years and had too many friends and social events to attend to worry about babysitting for free for her sister. LOL!
love the pictures with Aurora!
Do you mean when Tink flies down from the castle for wishes. She was lit up in 2007. Maybe her lights didn;t work the night you saw her.
As for Patrick Swayze, I first saw him in the mini series North and South. It was out in the 80's and we HAD to watch it for school, but it is an awesome mini series. That is how I always remember him best. It was pretty much his big start. He did 2 of the three series they made. I have had them on VHS and just a year ago bought the DVD of the 3 series. I highly recommend anyone to watch it. I saw dirty dancing and ghost, but honestly, I wasn;t super impressed with his movie career. he was the best in North and South, though it's never even mentioned as something he did.

DH was a Scoutmaster - and one of the Troop's fundraiser was selling glow sticks - when the company had a bad batch - they'd donate them - we have a garage full of glow sticks we couldnt sell - its the tube kind - I've not thought about using them as a stir stick!! :rotfl2: I'm going to have to work on this idea!! :thumbsup2
DD is 9 years younger than DS#2 and yes, she used to ask for a sister - I told her I wasnt sure we could get a sister, and I thought she had enough brothers :rotfl2: They can be onery sometimes!! I ordered our MNSSHP tix this afternoon. :woohoo:The came to $150 with tax. So with the AP rate I saved about $10. Hey $10 is $10. I spoke to a great CM very enthusiastic and friendly! I was able to get the AP advance purchase rate for the 3 tickets. I just have to show my AP when I pick up the tickets! She asked me if there were any ADR's I needed. I had her check to see if I could get CRT for later than 4 on Monday(long shot) she said there is nothing available. I also had her check if there was any openings at 'Ohana on Sunday night. Nothing. It's OK..... I didn't think there would be but since I had her on the phone.:smooth:
When we wake up on Thursday we will have to get the car packed. I would love to be at AK RD. But we might get there a little late. As far as breakfast, we probably will just grab something at POP. For lunch I'll probably want Flame Tree but I'm willing to get something at Y&Y CS too. I'm not too sure what Juliana is going to eat. At Flame Tree I could get her a hotdog and at Y&Y I can get her chicken bites. We are going to see the Lion King, so depending on the times, that might determine where we eat.
Our flight leaves at 7, so I would like to be driving by 4:30 at the latest. This might mean that we were going to have to miss the parade. If we do miss it... no biggie. It's not like we will never see it again.;)
SO.. ANY QUESTIONS???????

LOL! :lmao: We fought alot grwoing up too. Much better now though, but Claire and her DD are 10 months apart and sometimes they have a little rivalry going on. It was 1 week ago when we loaded up the truck for our trek to Indiana. I worked Saturday till 5, got home about 5:45, then finished loading up the truck. We had a fast dinner then we were off. By the time we stopped for gas and got on the highway it was around 7:20. We stopped a few times for potty breaks and coffee(for Mel). We hits ome very heavy rain around Wilkes Barre, PA. At one point I was following behind a car going 30 in a one lane construction zone for 10 miles. :scared1: I wanted to scream!!!!! (As I stated earlier driving through PA is the worst!!!!!!) Juliana woke up a few times crying and she needed to get out of the car seat. We stopped at 2AM in Clarion, PA and stayed at a decent hotel. It was nice, but we were basically there to sleep. Juliana woke up at 7:45 (she is our personal alarm clock!) and got ready to start driving again. After another gas stop we hit the highway for the second leg of our trip.
Clarion is about 1 hour from the Ohio boarder. I went to Ohio once before when I was a kid.. i really don't remember it all that well. It took us about 4 1/2 hours to cross Ohio.... then we saw the 'Welcome to Indiana' sign! We arrived at our friends house about 3:30. The kids were so happy to see each other! Dave & Branda made a nice steak dinner for us then we went for a walk to work off dinner and to feed the ducks!

Hi Tim,
How's everyone?
Your plans are really coming along!
The day you need a little snack at Mk before Cindy. I think it's the day your having cindy and your having Kona for breakfast?
Well anyway on our nov trip we ate at sleep hollow.
One of the best snacks I ever had at Disney.
Here's the menu.
http://allears.net/menu/menu_sh.htm
We got the cookie sandwhitch. It was huge they give you two HUGE chocolate chip cookies with plenty of ice cream. Yummy!
We also got the funnel cake and they gave us whipped cream for free. That was yummy too.
We were very full and could not finish.

I think we have gotten Juliana pizza from Pizzafari our last 2 times in AK. She is happy with that. I think Mel has gotten a salad from here too.
I think the Y&Y CS is the same food. Here is what they have:
Honey Chicken $9.99
Sweet and Sour Pork $9.99
Shrimp Lo Mein $10.99
Kung Pao Beef $10.99
Mandarin Chicken Salad $7.99
Pork Egg Rolls $3.29
Chicken Fried Rice $3.99
Basket of Fries $3.49
Wow I'm so behind!

We got to have a few cocktail hours each night, sometimes lasting till early morning!!:drinking1

we have really good chinese, japanese, thai here - I was so under whelmed with the CS at AK its not funny - the honey chicken had an 'off' taste (but I'm thinking- - not sweet, no sesame oil flavor, not "off" as in YUCK, just not what I expected "off") You have this tall take out carton, filled with plain rice or rice flavored with soy sauce (not a high end soy sauce) with a few chicken topping it...
again, I've read several reviewers who enjoyed the CS.... I also thought it was fine to sit outside in Jan, but in the heat of Oct, June? I'm going to Flame tree and sit at Pizzafari!! I think we ordered sandwiches from Pizzafari, and really enjoyed them -

Finally feeling human again! I swear I was so sick on Friday, I thought I might have to call the local doctor- that is one scary thought!
I might have to agree with Sandy on the "let's make the food taste as bland as possible" at Disney. I noticed it at my first trip on 2001 when we ate at The Marakesh. Moroccan food is supposed to be quite spicy; I tasted very little cinnamon or cloves or red pepper. I was so disappointed!
Then, last year, at the Japanese counter S. place.- again, the noodles tasted like Cup Ramens you can get at your local Winco or Walmart. Sad...!
If you have travelled and know the real deal, Disney isn't the place to expect authentic tastes or flavors. In order to satisfy the more generic likes of most travellers, they do have to do this, and I understand, but it can take one by surprise if they are expecting a real (insert ethnicity) dining experience.

I think I'm gonna be a pirate. I just need to find the right costume for me. I hate ordering this stuff online- you never know what's going to show up. There might be a few costume stores popping up around us now. I need to check out one of those first. If I end up ordering online, I need to do it by Wednesday.
I don't love Chinese food. I will eat it on occasion though. If I'm hungry enough I will eat anything!:lmao:

I'm glad you are feeling better. Juliana just came down with a little cold yesterday. I think we are keeping her home from school tomorrow. We told her and she was so disappointed.... she wants to go.
When we go on vacation I don't expect the food to be great. We are lucky, in CT we have a lot of great restaurants and probably the best pizza in the country (I'm sure some will beg to differ)- even better than New York. If you want Italian we have that covered. New Haven has a ton of great ethnic places to eat and is about 40 minutes from us. I just want something edible when I am out of here... although in with the price of food in Disney, we should have that 'great meal' every time.popcorn::

Totally AGREE! Plus, I think the way it's advertised makes one think that they are going to get an authentic meal. Seriously, if they could just make it really, really, really , real, then it would a grand slam! Combined with THAT kind of atmosphere/theming, the folks like my parents wouldn't even entertain the idea of going off property to eat. We ended up going to PF Changs about 5 hours away from the parks to eat one night (ok not that far, but when your kids are wanting to be in the park, and thier mom (me) has shelled out about a thousand bucks (maybe more) to maximize property time), we were irritated. It's too bad for Disney, and for patrons, that it can't all be PF Changs quality- since you're paying the same price.
Anyway, I'm like you. I'm happy to adjust my expectations in order to maintain the continuity of not leaving property. Even if the food is craptastic.

i don't like any CS at DHS- just never had a good experience there! I always take a break and head to the boardwalk/beach club area and head back. I love the boat ride.
Let me just say, I was just going back through your tirp report and noticed your picture of you going as the guy from yo gabba gabba- I think this show is so FLIPPIN weird! I mean these kids shoes, they're all a little strange..but that show is just so strange!:happytv:

Hi! :wave2:
I just have to say that you have a beautiful family! :goodvibes
I'm on page 47. Not bad for one sitting, eh? However, my darling husband has made dinner (as I begged him to, because he makes the best wings ever) and now it's time to eat and get off the DIS boards! Because although I do all the packing for our trips, I think they'd disown me if I sat in front of the computer with my wings.
Plus the keyboard would get so messy. ;)

No the ticket’s are not “special” themed. They just have characters on them not Halloween themed. You as an adult will not feel like a freak if you dress up. It’s Disney you don’t have to act your age LOL If you have a child many people suggest you dress them up so they don’t’ feel left out.
01. * take a rest during the day before the party.
02. * You can get into the park at 4pm with your MNSSHP ticket. This is a great way to avoid the 7pm rush of people coming out of the park! None of the party activities begin until 7pm. The reason to get in at 4pm is to get your wristbands, candy bags, settle in, get something to eat, map out your game plan and you will be ready at 7pm to participate in the festivities. If you get there at 7pm, you will have to wait in a long line to get in and get your wristbands and candy bags and you will be later starting the party. If you don't plan to get to MK at 4pm when you can first get in, still plan to go somewhat early if you are traveling via buses from the resorts. Many, many, many families go back to the resorts for their children to change into their costumes and then catch the bus to return to the MK for a 7pm party.
03. * Second Parade is much less crowded.
04. * Do not waste time early in the party waiting on lines for candy. Towards the end of the party, the lines disappear, and "SOME" cast members will give out candy by the handfuls. They actually will try to fill your candy bag to the top if you let them. Again not all cast members do this.
05. * If you are a BIG candy hog make sure you bring your own big trick or treat bag. Disney does hand out smaller bags about the size of a sandwich paper bag. Don't forget to say THANK YOU (it is nice to hear).
06. * Just outside of the Carousel of Progress, they have a candy station set up where you walk through some illuminated hoops, and end at barrels where cast members are stationed to distribute the candy. Early in the evening, you will be waiting on line to get candy. Later in the evening, you will be able to walk right through and get the candy. If you wish, you can continue looping though as many times as you like.
07. * Headless Horseman - Line up early he comes out about 15 minutes before the parade starts.
08. * Photo Ops - I would suggest you line up on your first MUST character line before 7:00.
* Cinderella's coach is out in the Fantasyland stroller parking area (next to It's A Small World). Get there early- the line gets long and closes quickly.
* Tarzan, Jane, Terk, Rafiki, and Baloo are in a large room next to the Dole Whip stand that is opened up for the party. As you exit, they give you special candy it was different from the candy being distributed elsewhere. It's on your right as soon as you cross over the bridge to Adventureland. You enter the room referred to through doors that are adjacent to the little dining area. There are cast members stationed there inviting people in, and there is a small sign identifying the area.
* Alice, Tweedle Dee and Dum, the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts are on the trail between Toontown and Tommorrowland.
* Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are in Fantasyland near Dumbo or the entrance to Toontown, fairly close to the teacups (I have heard different stories of where they are - so check with a CM) Get there early- the line gets long and closes quickly.
* Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween Costumes were at the beginning of Main Street, in a Gazebo, between Exposition Hall and the Train Station. I also heard you can find Mickey in costume in his house and Minnie in Toontown Hall. Again ask a CM
* Donald at Donald's Boat
* Goofy at Barnstormer
* Cinderella/Prince Charming and Aurora/Prince Phillip should be in Toontown in the Princess room
* Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet are out, in costume near Pooh's Playground
* Woody, Jessie and Bullseye should be in Frontierland, near the Diamond Horseshoe
* Peter Pan, Wendy, Hook, and Smee should be near the PotC ride
* Aladdin, Jasmine, Abu, and Genie should be near the Carpet ride
* Daisy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Belle at Toontown Town Hall gift shop
* Little Einsteins at Toontown Train station
* Ariel at Ariel's Grotto
* Goliath the Gargoyle behind Cinderella Castle
* Br'er Bear & Br'er Rabbit at Big Thunder Mountain
* Buzz Lightyear at Timekeeper
* Stitch at Cosmic Ray's
* Fairies in Toontown tent
* Stepsisters and Lady Tremaine in Belle's Garden (I heard Merlin was here at one time)
* Make sure you stick around after the Villains show, they come down and you can get pics with them! They don't do autographs, because of time constraints, but you can meet Malifecent, the Evil Queen, Cruella DeVil, the Queen of Hearts, Frollo, Captain Hook, and Jafar. The villains are out for about 15 minutes after all of their shows EXCEPT for one show. There is one show per night that they don't stay out after because there isn't enough time, I heard it was the show before the fireworks.
09. * Other Photo Ops-There's a Mickey ghost on a pathway near Crystal Palace, the store Windows on Main St, a HUGE Pumbaa in Adventureland -- the candy stops have neat displays to take photos after the crowds die down.
There is a huge blow up Stitch on top of the building that holds Monsters Inc.
You MUST get your picture taken in front of the horseless carriage in front of the HM. When you see it on photopass...you have a "guest" in your picture
10. * Enjoy the hidden gems: the ghouls in front of HM are awesome and if they tease you, zing 'em back.
11. * If it calls for rain bring your ponchos.
12. * During the party Face painting is FREE
13. * Face makeup doesn't run too much in rain, but does smear when you try to wipe the pouring rain off your face.
14. * If you want MNSSHP T-shirts (last year's were about $20-$24, be sure to buy them sooner than later during the night. They do run out.
15. * Take your Glow Sticks with you it’s cheaper than buying them there. Maybe bring a small flashlight for map reading or walking in the dark LOL
16.* Remember to take it all in, RELAX and have fun. You probably won't be able to do every single thing so do your MUSTS first
17.* WEAR COMFORY SHOES PEOPLE LOL
This is a photo of the Disney bags sold at your local Disney store around $2.50 each.

Okay, that's one serious long post! Going to take me a long time to really digest it all and, well, memorize it, like I tend to anally do sometimes.
Quick comments:
does the line to HM get so long that it becomes virtually, and even not so virtually, that one cannot ride it?
do people really want to haul a bunch of candy around for 5 hours?
do bulky costumes just become a burden after a while?
I'm looking forward to this!
Can't wait to:
dress up
see the headless horseman
sing Boo to You
watch the villian show
see rare characters
ride HM
What are you priorities for this, Tim?? I guess with all that's going on at this party, you have to focus a little, right?

does the line to HM get so long that it becomes virtually, and even not so virtually, that one cannot ride it? Last year, the party was very busy.(i thought) There were waits for rides but they weren't more than 15 minutes. We also went on a Sunday October 20th. 1) It was on a weekend 2) It was much closer to Halloween. We are hoping that it will be less busy than last year.
do people really want to haul a bunch of candy around for 5 hours? People do but with having the stroller, we just throw the bag under it when we go on rides.;)
do bulky costumes just become a burden after a while? I would think so... especially if it is a hot night. That is why I refuse to wear the Mad Hatter costume. I'm not sure if we are going to wear our costumes into the park or if we are going to change into them.:confused3

This afternoon we went out to get the mail and there was a post card for Juliana. Cinderella sent her a post card of her castle. Here is what the card said:
Princess Juliana,
The Fairy Godmother, the mice, and I are looking forward to having dinner with you at my castle. I can't wait to see you again!
Love, Cinderella
Thank you to taychase1015 for being her Fairy Godmailer! We are getting so close and getting very excited!!!! A lady that Melody works with is going down to Disney with her family 2 weeks after us. We are going to send her 3 kids postcards and I am going to find 3-4 more from the Fairy Godmother thread. I love this idea and love spreading a little MaGiC! :wizard:
I've also starting checking long range forecasts and checking the tropics for any storms. So far so good on the tropics.. I will keep my fingers crossed. The temperatures look like they will be in the upper 80 to 90 during the day and low 70's for a low at night. That sounds great to me!
Here is the list I have compiled from your ideas from my PTR that I need to do. If I missed your suggestion or idea let me know!
TIPS Things to DO!
Take a picture of our feet on the TTA.
If you talk to the guy standing at the beginning of the line for the train and ask him if you can have Julianna be the "guest conductor" they will give her a card to present to the loader guys. She (and you maybe-not sure on this) can sit in the back and she'll get to say, "All Aboard!", and be the conductor of the ride.
--Oh yeah, and the Columbia Harbor House is across from the HM entrance. I like it because it has some things that are a little different than your ordinary burgers and dogs.
--The shutters in Lib. Square hang crooked because during the war they used the metal hinges for making bullets and replaced them with leather, which stretched over time, making the shutter sag. Cool, huh?
--They give out free fudge samples in the Confectionary on MS sometimes.
--Oh, and everyone tells you to go to the left on Pirates, don't listen.
--See Tinker Bell store behind the castle at Tinkerbell's Treasures. She's actually not in the drawer anymore! There's now twinkling lights that zoom by on the walls every once in awhile, which is supposed to be her flying around and then at the cash register, the CM waves a wand and Tink appears on tv behind them. It really is cute!

Hi Tim! I'm still here reading along, just been a little busy and not able to post to my favorite threads! :)
I'm afraid I'll get in packing mode and not have time to post to you guys before you leave!! Tomorrow we'll only have 5 days to go! :cool1: I know you check in the day we check out so I want to wish you a fabulous trip and I can't wait to hear about it! We're also doing MNSSHP so I appreciate you compiling all of that info into one post! I've also been checking the weather and it looks decent, but of course HOT! YIKES! I'm not surprised and prefer the sun in Disney over a ton of rain so we'll just go with the flow and try and take it easy and drink lots of water.
Your costumes sound awesome and my DS is going to be a Pirate since we're doing the Pirates League before MNSSHP! :cool1: I bought his costume from Party City for only $12.99 so that saved me a few bucks! :rotfl2: Plus, it didn't appear to be as "hot" for him.
I'll be checking in again before leaving...

Thanks for posting all those MNSSHP tips! Some I knew, but some I didn't, and I'm always interested to hear a new take on things. :goodvibes
I know you've been taking bits of advice from people. I have one, sort of along the photo line.
Every year, when we go, we always take each other's pictures on the TTA. I saw about the foot thing and it reminded me. So it's kind of neat, because I can watch how my son has grown through our trips by putting those pics side by side, you know? Now it doesn't have to be the TTA, maybe you want to pick a place that's special to your family, but it'd be nice to have the same sort of shot to compare. :goodvibes

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a magical trip! pixiedust: The weather looks like low 90's for next week. That sounds good to me! With the non-existent summer we had here this year, I'll take the heat!! If you aren't going to do a TR, I'd still like to hear about your trip when you get back. We will be back late on the 8th.

My wonderful, beautiful, DW called me tonight, the same way she does every other night when she gets out of work. We started chatting and she asks what time I am working on 10/2, the day before we leave. I tell her I'm not... I don't have a job that night. So she says maybe we can leave a day early. LOL:rotfl: I jump on Jetblue's website to see their policy. When my DW gets home she calls them to see what's up. It would cost us $285 to switch our flights. While she was doing this I was on the computer trying to see if I could get a room. There is nothing available at POP, or any other value for that matter. I decided for over $450 for 1 day, it's just not worth it. I am going to call Jetblue tomorrow and see if I can work some charm.:hippie:Am I a bad DISer? LOL
Quick note on our March trip. We are going to decide on some park days and where we want to eat tomorrow with our friends Dave & Branda. I want to be prepared if, by some chance, the ADR window opens up on Sunday. We really are trying to do this as a budget trip and not spend a ton of money. I have 4 restaurants that are definite. CP, CM, 1900, & Akershus. We (DW, DD, & I) will most likely do Kona (B) as well. I want some of their input. I don't want them to feel like they have no choices. I think we are going to possibly separate for a day or 2. We will go meet up with Melody's cousin and family for a day.
OK now on to our plan for MNSSHP.
Must Do's-
Hallowishes
See the headless horseman
Watch the Parade
Go see Alice on the trail b/t Toontown and Tommorowland.
Go to dance parties.
Get candy
Watch the Villiains show in front of the castle
TAKE PICTURES
Try to do-
Try to get Juliana's picture in Cinderella's coach (if the line isn't too long)
Try to see Cinderella w/ Prince Charming at the princess tent
Try to visit other characters around the park
Try to see Jasmine
I think we will probably stay till 10:30 or so. It all depends on how Juliana is doing. Thank goodness we can get in here early.

I agree! $450 is a lot for one extra day. But keep trying for POP- you never know. Let us know what JetBlue says too. Maybe your charm will have been mixed with pixie dust and you got somethin'.
I can't remember if/how many times Dave and Brenda have been. Will they be able to offer any suggestions?? I will be very curious to see what they choose, and if they match up to what you guys will like. I also like the idea of striking out on your own for a day or 2. That way you all get some space, and can do the things that sound only fun to you.
Good plan for party night. I do hope it's not too crowded for you. Sure would be nice to get that shot with Cindy's coach! I personally am glad to see photos as a top priority! That way you can share!
So, are you packed yet??

Good Morning!
HM may look crazy long - but in reality - the line moves really fast - the best advice for this is to know which stretching room they put you in, and then stand by the door that opens after the lights go out - then you are in the front of the crowd - I have pictures I can share - but I have to be at work soon!
Candy - so not "worth" it to me - - we got shoved and pushed when in line for the 1 teeny tiny piece of tootsie roll - and that was waiting in line!! So skip this - we rode the TTA just to get away from the crowds - I was seriously angry at how crowded and rude people were - the CM on our 3rd trip pointed out ToonTown's walkway - so we went over there to get more cheap candy - while there a CM said "Toon town is closed, its 11pm its time to be in bed asleep" Well thank you very much for that magic! I started crying - it was so horrid, I plan on never going again! But we forged down the path - and the CM kids there literally gave us bags of candy already filled, it was cute -
but it was too much - and too heavy after so many days in the resort, we knew we were'nt going to pack it! So yeah, all that money on smarties and tootsie rolls - and CROWDS!
That year the Villianesses walked around yelling at people, which was hysterical - but the Headless Horseman didnt ride because it rained, the first parade was cancelled, and the 2nd parade was too "iffy"
My computer is acting wonky...
Keep in mind - EVERYONE that goes LOVES MNSSHP - so dont go by my negativity - but if you keep it in mind, dont get overblown expectations, and you will have fun - just read everyone elses report!! That many posters cant be wrong!!

I'm going to go through my past pics and see if I have Juliana in the same spot more than once. I know I have her sitting next to Goofy in front of Tony's. I think I'd want her standing though... It would be easier to see how big she is getting.princess:
:lmao: She's becoming a Disney freak like the rest of us! :)She always has loved Disney. I'm kinda shocked she isn't on these boards too... (or maybe she is?:scratchin) But more than anything she wants to get the heck out of here. If we could be relaxing in Florida a day early she would want to do it! LOL:rotfl:
Hmmm Tips Hugh?
When you do the mini golf you get a free disney world golf ball to keep. You can bring a sharpie and have Jul have the princesses sign. Also I just found out Thumper and Ms. Bunny are coming to camp mickey and minnie oct. 4!
Cool tip about the golf ball. I have my sharpie in my computer case so I will have one with me.
Do you know if Thumper is going to be bumping anyone out of their usual spot or are they just going to be roaming around?
