I have booked and made a deposit for the 12/19 Wonder Cruise. I booked the cruise through Costco. I also bought Travel Insurance. I might have to cancel the cruise because of a financial situation that has come up. Will Costco give a 100% discount on the cruise and also the money that I spent on the Travel Insurance? Or will they just refund me the cost of the cruise.

You should be able to get a full refund. The penalty period for cancellation is 60 days prior to departure. Trip insurance generally begins at this time. Ifyou don't get a full refund, please let us know. It will give us something to think about before booking with Costco....

Thanks for your reply Seņor Ferrari. I just noticed on my cruise confirmation from Costco that it states that Trip Insurance is not refundable. I'll know in another few weeks if I have to cancel the trip or not. I was going to spend a few days after the cruise at Disney World. I've been wanting to spend Christmas at Disney since I can remember.

If you purchased the trip insurance through DCL it IS fully refundable along with your deposit, up until final payment is due.

If you purchased SEPARATE insurance through Costco then it would be whatever rules they have. But if you just paid your DCL deposit and nothing extra then you should get your ENTIRE deposit back if you cancel at least 60 days prior.

Hope this is all a moot point and you get to go! :)

I called up Costco Travel and I was told the full price of the cruise is refundable 60 days before departure. The trip insurance, which I purchased at $49/pp was not. So, if I cancel, I would be out $200, since there are 4 of us going.
