I just saw this in the DVC member site. I don't know if it's only for members, but it's still good news!!!!

Beginning July 1, 2002, Members taking a Disney Cruise LineŽ vacation can transfer from Orlando International Airport to Disney Vacation Club Resorts at the Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort and from these resorts to the cruise terminal in Port Canaveral. The cost is $19.00 per person from Orlando International Airport to the resort and $24.00 per person one-way to or from Port Canaveral.
To purchase ground transfers, please contact Member Services. The departure times are as follows: Disney's Old Key West Resort - 11:30am (Sun-Thu-Sat); Disney's BoardWalk - 12:15pm (Sun-Thu-Sat); Disney's Wilderness Lodge - 11:45am (Sun-Thu) 12:00 (Sat); Disney's Beach Club Resort - 11:45am (Sun-Thu) 12:05 (Sat). Prices are subject to change. To purchase transfers, you must contact Member Services more than 3 days from the sail date.

Hmmmm...

What if you want to cruise first and then go to a DVC resort?

My niece and her groom were on the ship on May 26th. They caught the DCL bus from the Grand Floridian and was returned there. They did not, however, stay at any of the hotels in the area.

If you read carefully it states 'members taking a DCL vacation' and it has to be booked thru Member Services...so this sounds like it is only for DVC members.

Also it is $24 to and from Port Canaveral....so if you wanted to do the cruise first then take the transportation after the ship to the resort, you will be able to do that.

I don't know about contacting member services as I have already booked our transfers with my TA for our DCL cruise on October 13th. We will be picked up by DCL at MCO for our cruise and then to Wilderness lodge when we dock on the 17th for 3 days at the Villas on pts. This was done through DCL when my cruise was booked.

I believe the prices quoted me by my TA are the same as the DVC posting.

The difference with these 'new' transfer options is that DCL only provided transfers from resort to Port Canaveral for the resorts that are included in their land/sea pkgs. For DVC members they are offering that they can be picked up at an alternate resort such as Old Key West.
