I haven't heard very much mentioned about CBR. Last year my DH surprised me by booking AKL for our WDW vacation that followed our horrendous Carnival cruise. Our 2 boys loved the pool there and the attention from the lifeguards - the games , etc. (It definitely made up for the cruise.) Anyway, we are going again this year with his brother and his family and are staying at CBR - great deal with AMEX. Any comments on this resort - I know it won't be as nice as AKL, but is it nice? We are trying to keep the costs down since we really were not planning on a major vacation this year.

I have stayed at the Grand Floridian and CBR and even though CBR is a moderate, I really love this resort! :)

We stayed there over Christmas and really enjoyed it! All the rooms have been redone and they are nice. The food court wasnt too bad we had breakfast there several times. As for the pool well we dont have children and were too busy to use it but looked like a great time was had by all that were using it! We rented scurrys twice while there and enjoyed the grounds, The water mice were fun as well! We never had a problem with with the buses either. I would say thumbs up to this! It may not be a deluxe but is a great place! (and I am picky about where I stay) You are at Disney and cant go wrong there. Enjoy your trip!:Pinkbounc

We stayed there over Christmas too and really enjoyed the resort. My son who is 8 had a lot of fun and even went swimming one day (too cold for me!).

We are staying there again and June and I expect our stay will be just as nice.

I LOVE THIS RESORT!!!

I just got back last saturday. My friend and I decided to go by our selfs to celebrate our high school graduation! We stayed for six days and I wish we could have stayed longer! Everything was so beautiful! The pics don't do it justice! The Mousekeeping was not to great, all they did was give us more towels and make the beds (nothing special). Don't eat the pizza at the food court! And the pizza delivery is WAY over priced! That's pretty much all that was bad. We stayed in Jamica and all we had to do is walk across Parrot Cay to get to the food court! Alot of people say that it's really big and spread out, but if you stay in the right "village" then it's not so bad! When we would come back from the parks after a VERY long day, our village was the very first drop off ( which was very helpful)!! I think this is the perfect resort for your family! You and your kids will LOVE it!!!:D

Thanks for all the good news - I am a little more at ease now. We also added 2 days on at the new Royal Pacific at UNiversal so we could get the benefits for that park. I am sure we'll have a good time. It just seemed like Poly and WL got all the raves and the rest of the resorts are just okay. We'll be so busy that we probably would not have the time to fully appreciate everything that is offered at a Deluxe anyway. Thanks again.
