So here is the link to my PTR (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2095572)if you want a little background, but now ON WITH THE SHOW:goodvibes!
So I will start with some brief introductions.
Who are we anyways?? Well besides a couple of Disney nuts who are planning our Disney Fairy Tale Wedding (DFTW) for 2/8/10 at WDW.
Me: Samantha, 26 a Disney Bride to Be
DF: Dave, 26 a handsome (IMHO) newly converted disney addict
Why: Because I got a pin code and figured why the heck not!
When: March 29 - April 3 2009
Where: The POP Century Resort:thumbsup2
Day 1 Part 1
Travel Day March 29th 2009
Dave and I woke up bright and early at 9am (lol); we had already packed the night before and had everything we needed for that day in our carry on luggage since we were using the ME for the 1st time. The morning at home was relatively uneventful, Dave picked up a bit of breakfast from Bruggers Bagel own the road from us while I showered and got dressed (What a guy!). So after a little breakfast and last minute getting ready we were ready to head to Logan airport. Dave’s mom picked us up in the minivan and offered to drive us in, so we loaded up the car and we were off. We were flying out on Airtran at 1:20PM so arriving at Logan at 11:50am gave us plenty of time to get checked in and through security. Check-in and Security was pretty uneventful, we waited a few minutes and made our way to our gate. We were a little delayed due to weather (it was raining a little in Boston, but I guess down south it was thunderstorms) so we had about an hour of extra wait time (oh-well!)
Our flight down was fine; I just wish they gave you a little something to eat on airtran besides a teeny tiny bag of pretzels, because by the time we hit Orlando I was starving!! I did get a chance to nap and read a bit of my book so all was not lost. When we arrived in Orlando we made our way to ME check in and I waited in line fro about 5 mins which I didn’t think was too bad at all. Then we headed over to the red carpet (cute touch btw) and waited to board our ME bus. I think we waited about 2 mins in that line before we were told we could board, how cool was this! For our first time using ME I must say I was very impressed, what a great perk! Not having to worry about a car or transport was a huge relief on this trip! And who doesn’t love skipping baggage claim and just getting to your hotel quicker!
We got to the POP in about 30 mins, but on the bus I did enjoy the little movie…and even teared up a little when I realized that we were actually going to WDW (I know, I know lame right?) When we pulled up to the POP I think I actually started jumping up and down in my seat a little, I was just way too excited to sit still! The big signs, the bright colors, all these things made the POP look so amazingly cool upon arrival. We disembarked our lovely ME bus and thanked our driver Cecil for an entertaining ride (he made some cute jokes) got our carry on bag from the bus and walked inside the POP lobby.
For those of you who haven’t seen the POP lobby, I have to say it is a great sight to see. I love all the pop culture boards and decorations on the walls, and the sparkly floors are a lot of fun. Now, I had tried the online check-in process fro the first time as well, so I went to queue up in the super short Online Check-In line… I was the only person in the line lol! So I got called over and was given my document folder, signed for my $500 gift card and got our DP info. So all I needed to know was where to go, so I asked the CM checking us in and I think he wasn’t sure where to send us so he just gave us a map… so I asked again and he finally drew a few lines on the map and sent us on our way… it’s a good thing Disney has clear signs lol!
Dave and I were on cloud 9 to finally be on our anxiously awaited vacation, so the walk to our room was full of pointing and talking about all the things we would see and do on our trip at the POP. We were assigned a room in the 60’s building with a view of spaceship earth which was pretty cool. And the room was neat and tidy upon arrival. Mickey Mouse stopped by and delivered the packages I had ordered and I was thrilled that they were sitting on the bed waiting to surprise Dave when we arrived! Now here is the before pic, and here is the after pic.. he tore into his package like a little kid on Christmas!

WELCOME HOME!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip and see photos!
How far away was Spaceship Earth? I didn't know Pop was close to EPCOT!
Also, how's AirTran? I'm flying from Chicago to Boston next month and they keep changing my flight! I've also heard some not good things about them lately so I'm getting nervous.

Day 1 Part 2: Dinner and a Dis Meet!
So we regrouped in the room and then headed out to DTD for dinner and a DisBride meet! Now this trip we decided to only use Disney transportation, so that meant everywhere we went was via bus… not usually my favorite form of transportation but I figured we would give it a shot… Well I must say I was very pleasantly surprised at the buses in WDW, they were always clean, we never waited more then 3 mins for a bus, and yes they did get a little crowded at the end of the day but come on it’s Disney! So I will most def be using WDW transport again over a rental car, so much easier!
Ok, so now onto the night… but first a quick apology… I am a bad Diser… I did not take any food porn pics while at WDW (GASP, HORROR). I was usually either too hungry to wait for a pic, or just plum forgetful! So I do have a pic of a Dole Whip but I am afraid that is about it… so I am very sorry to all wanting oodles of food pics, I have failed you
So the first night was met with intense HUNGER! We were starving by 7pm when we made it to DTD, remember the bagel at 10am and my micro mini bag of pretzels on AirTran were not the most helpful thing when you are hungry, so by 7pm I was ready to start chewing on my own arm. Dave was desperate for an EOS Cobb wrap and I was ready for a little WPE action! So we split up got our food and met up at one of the tables behind WPE, it was a great night, warm and relaxing. Now since we were on the DP I was going to make full use of my credits on this trip, so I chose the Rigatoni with Chicken Bolognese and a side Caesar Salad, Lemonade, and a Crème Brulee for dessert. I paid OOP for a glass of cold Riesling which was great too. DF had the Cobb wrap, chips and water (and paid OOP for a beer of some kind). Now I am not sure if it was the sheer hunger or the deliciousness of the food, but this was the best meal of the trip! Everything was gone off my plate and DF and I were happy as clams for the rest of the night.
Now, right at the end of dinner my cell rings and it is Linda (lpizzuro123) from the Boards. Her and her DH Sheldon just got to DTD and are waiting at Goofys for our Dis Meet! Dave and I finish up and head over to Goofys. Linda and Sheldon had a table for us to sit at and were dressed in some great Mickey Wear, Sheldon even has a Mickey Earring which I loved! So DF and I sit and chat and then we get a text from Becky (spacerangerqueen) saying she is parking and will be here in a minute. So we are sitting talking, laughing and just enjoying being in FL. Linda was awesome, she brought pics of her wedding from Misty and was telling us all about their DFTW. Then Becky came to join us, Becky was great too, she was full of great stories about working at WDW and was also in Mickey wear (well actually Donald wear that night). Gotta love the DIS Meet! So we all chatted and laughed for a few hours, DF was very quiet and when I asked him why on the way home he said “Well I tried to talk but between you 3 girls, Sheldon and I couldn’t get a word in” I guess the girls were too much for the poor guy’s lol! He thought it was a fun night watching the 3 girls get all excited about weddings and said it was a great first night! Here is a pic of the girls and then the whole group! (Note: I am able to wear the outfit I had originally chosen for our E-Pics because it was night and at night the skirt is no longer see-through)
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000464.jpghttp://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000465.jpg
After pictures Linda and Sheldon had to leave because the next day was Sheldon’s Birthday and Linda had some super fun secret plans in store for him! Of course we all knew the plans though lol! So we said our goodbyes (but not for the last time…) and Becky took me into Goofys for my very 1st experience creating a snack! I got marshmallows with milk chocolate, Oreos and caramel… words cannot describe how yummy this was… I was in heaven snacking on this all week! We walked over to the exit where Becky parked and almost got attacked by dive-bombing bats! These things were flying right in front of WOD about 7 feet off the ground… which was a little too close to DF’s head for comfort (he is 6’2) so we hightailed it out of DTD for the night and proceeded to crash into our beds at the POP, tomorrow was going to be an early morning starting with a makeup trial at 7am, so stay tuned for details!

Sounds like y'all had a great first day! That is too funny that your DF couldn't get a word in. That's what happens around women though! My BF gets like that too. I'm glad y'all both had fun though.
Listening to you talk about how great the ME is has me kind of jealous because we don't get to take it. Maybe one day we'll fly and I'll get to take it. I'm relieved to hear that you thought the buses were great. That's one thing I'm kind of nervous about. If they're too bad in November I'll have my car, so I'm sure it won't be too bad.
Those gift baskets were really cute! What all did you have put in them? Plus, I had no idea that POP was so close to Epcot. That's cool you had somewhat of a view though.
I cannot wait to try Goofy's! I think it will be so fun just to "design" something! That's one of the things I'm most looking forward to.

I'm glad the buses were a good experience! You hear so many horrible stories that I'm sure everyone just prays they are not the next victim. :thumbsup2 We sometimes have really good direct flight prices to Orlando but I always feared the buses. Its nice to know it seems to not be a problem anymore!
We will forgive your DIS Blasphemy of lacking food porn... :rotfl: I am hoping I will remember myself in a couple weeks!
Oh how I long for a DIS Meet! I'm glad you all had fun! I can't wait for Goofys Candy Co!! I am allergic to caffeine so I cannot have chocolate.. I am crossing my fingers that I will be able to "create" something yummy with some non choco options!
Eek! about the bats! That would scare me! :scared1: I have this weird things about large creatures that fly. :rotfl:

Ohh fun, you'll have to tell me which game, we share season tickets with a few people so I go to a lot of Sox games. Can you imagine a Dis meet at Fenway lol! I bet it would be the first one there:lmao:
Yea your going Memorial Day! Thats awesome! Pop was fun, very lively and upbeat. And this will sound super cheesy but they play "pop" music from all the decades on the buses and waiting for the buses so I would find my self rockin out to songs like "St Elmo's Fire" and the theme song to Lavern and Shirley all the time:lmao:... I must have been quiet a sight!
Oh and the pool bar makes a FANTASTIC Captains Mai Tai! Soooo Good! You need to try one:goodvibes
no food pictures.... thats okay... what a fun thing it is to have a DIS meet.... sounds like the first day was wonderful.... can't wait to hear more!!!

Thanks! The buses were great honestly, we never seemed to wait more then a couple of minutes and yes they are crowded at night but it's such a quick ride that it really was ok.
I had the baskets made from memories by betsy (http://memoriesbybetsy.com/Memories_by_Betsy/Welcome.html) band she did a great job! I had a Mickey Plush in each one, a Mickey Etched Wine glass in each, and refillable mug in each. Then in DF's I had a hidden mickey book, an espn trivia book, and his fave ginger ale soap from Basin in DTD. Then she put some Basin Bath Bombs in mine. She was so easy to work with, I highly recommend her service:thumbsup2
Oh and goofy's is to die for! I am looking forward to it again in August

Thanks for following along Tarah! The buses were really efficient, actually we did wait a few minutes once while they loaded 2 wheelchairs but they had a 2nd bus behind it ready to go as well so it really wasn't an issue for us thank goodness:goodvibes
When I got home and realized I did not have food pics it was this kind of moment ! I was only hoping the Diser's would forgive my momentary lapse in photos lol!
The dis meet was a lot of fun, chatting is always fun in my book! And Goofy's was amazing, I bet they can accomodate you... and if not the cotton candy smelled amazing! I broke down and got some later in the week!
The bats were crazy!! They were a little too close for comfort, so we bypassed World of Disney and came back later in the week. They were right where Stitch sprays you... very bizarre, I have never seen bats like that at WDW before:confused3

Day 2 Part 1 – “No Sleeeeeeeping!!!”
After crashing into bed last night at the POP we woke bright and early… I’m talking before the sun was up early. Since we were in Disney, and it was our first day I had no trouble waking up that day! It was one of those days were I was awake and waiting for the alarm to go off so I could have an excuse to get up and get going. Well I had set the alarm for 6:15 since Ana was scheduled to come for a makeup trial at 7. I figured quick showed, flat iron my hair, put on my dress and I would be ready (I also laid everything out the night before lol…yup I was the kid who had her 1st day of school outfit ready to go the week before) so this was a piece of cake!
Well 6:15 rolled around and we met… the bells… I loathe the bells… I despise the bells…I missed my IPod alarm clock at home terribly. The bells were how we woke up each morning on this trip, and they got more and more annoying each passing day. They sounded like deep low church bells ringing all at once and really loud and the alarm also had a flashing light on the top of it, ya know, just in case the loud bells failed to do the job…
Anyways, so after the bell incident we got a phone call… now who could be calling this early… come on you know who… Stitch yelling “No Sleeeeeeeping!!” and then Mickey came on too and said something about Stitch escaping again and then Stitch told us to “Get Moving!”… so we did.
Dave went and got breakfast while I waited for Ana from Beaute Speciale to do my make up trial for the wedding, he did bring me back some breakfast potatoes and bacon though (whattaguy). So at 5 past 7 Ana arrived with a huge suitcase full of makeup, and got right to work. She asked me what kind of makeup I usually use and I showed her my basics and she came up with a make up plan for me. She used no foundation since I do not usually wear anything that heavy and used really light shimmery makeup on my face and cheeks. On my eyes she did a plum/lavender palette which really worked since I have hazel eyes. Also I did try the false lashes, I wasn’t sure at first but once she put them on I felt like I was in a mascara commercial so I had to keep them! She them put the sealant coat on, so I was now sweat and tear proof (def going to need that on my wedding day!) and I was good to go.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000469.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000470.jpg
Ana, I thought was well worth it. The look she gave me was very natural and I still looked like me in the end (just a prettier me lol) which was important to me. Ana was very easygoing and had some fun stories about her celeb clients too, which being a celeb magazine junkie I really appreciated! All in all I was glad I did the trial and feel really good about having her do the wedding makeup.
So after Ana left it was 8am (time to head to Epcot!) so we headed to the bus and it was right there, awesome! So we hop on and take to 10 min ride to Epcot. Now at this point I have no clue how to get to the International Gateway without going through the park, which wasn’t open yet. Also we still had to activate our AP’s! So I head to guest relations, activate the AP’s and ask where to go. The CM at the desk calls the turnstile crew and they let us right in and tell us where to go. Now we still had about 15-20 minutes before our 8:45 shoot at World Showcase so we stroll through Epcot (without anybody else around!) and I snap a few pictures of the scenery from the Flower and Garden Festival.
Note the lack of people...

This event is very pretty to see, all the topiaries are great and the whole place just looks so beautiful! I loved the Lion King display at the entrance to World Showcase, it was so detailed and intricate. I had no idea that many colors could be used.
(Dave loved playing Rafiki lol)

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000486.jpg
Dave and I walk toward the International Gateway and I snap a few more pictures in Canada and UK before we get there too. My favorite is the one of me in the UK with absolutely no one else around, I will probably never get that type of picture again!
Me... All... Alone
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000493.jpg
I found these guys hanging out in Canada eh!
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000490.jpg
So right at 8:43am we make it to the IG (how’s that for timing?) and see a photographer with a huge camera bag. I go up and ask if he is Dean, he shakes our hand, introduces himself and asks us
Dean: “What countries do you want pictures in?”
Me: “Well UK and Morocco for sure, but whatever else you think is great too”
Dean: “Ok, well do them all.”
Me: Jaw dropping, shock setting in, realizing I do not have to pick and choose… THANK GOODNESS!!
Dean: “Ok give me your backpack; I am going to carry it for you so we can keep on time”
Me: “Are you sure?”
I honestly couldn’t believe he was not only going to get us to every country but also carry our stuff… I felt a little bad about it honestly but Dean would not let us touch the bag! He was a man on a mission, that mission being to make it around the world in an hour! So I release grip of my bag (even though Dave kept trying to carry it because he felt so bad too) and we were on our way.
I know I have posted these on the wedding board already but here are the pictures from the countries we visited. I will post the link to the ones Disney took when I get them too because these are the ones Dean was nice enough to take with my camera

You guessed it! We did KP and it was super cute! Thanks for the comments about the pics, I am going to post the link to the "official" disney pics if anyone is intrested, I just got it yesterday and I am happy with how they turned out :)

Sure thing, if you have any questions feel free to PM me, I have the emails disney sent that I can forward you if you are intrested, and I'll post the link to the final product in a few mins:goodvibes
The pink shoes are my thing, I love em, my mom and I didn't see eye to eye on them for E-pics though lol! But she said it looked cute, so I guess she's over it lol!
Sorry about the anxiety over the bells lol! They were so awful! This week Dave's alarm clock was all strange sounding (he acidentally put in on full blast vloume with the beach sounds so it sounded like seagulls were attacking us every morning) and we kept joking that he must have brought back some weird disney alarm clock disease and given it to his poor alarm clock (we have since correct our alarm clock thank goodness!) :lmao:

haha yes! I was amazed it was going to be less, but it is saving us a lot by doing it in WDW... although we live in MA which is one of the most expensive areas of the country to get married apparently:confused3, all the bridal books said that fact which I thought was strange. I think NY is and New England need to adjust their prices to WDW prices now lol! You would have an awesome time planning your sons WDW wedding, my mom is loving that she doesn't need to run around to a million places!

That one was really funny because there was a family just chilling behind us for a while, oblivious to the fact that we were taking pictures lol! (Norway had people in it b/c of the princess breakfast) We didn't get upset though, we just thought it was funny how swept up in WDW people get (me being one of those people lol):lmao:

Day 2 Part 2 – Can we save the World before lunch?
So when we last left off our E-pics were complete and we were now free to enjoy the park! I made Dave put on the “Just Engaged” buttons and our mouse ears… oh wait no I didn’t. Why you ask? Well on the plane ride I remembered that I left the Mickey and Minnie bride and groom ears at home!!! Oh the Horror!!! Dave offered to buy me a new one since I was upset, but I said no I would act like a grown up (and just wear them next time lol). Honestly though, of all the things I could forget you would think I would’ve had the foresight to put those in the “Must pack” pile, but Noooo I didn’t even put them in any pile, I just plumb forgot!
Ok, back to the TR, since WS wasn’t officially open yet, we decided to head to future world and get a few rides in. So we head to The Land pavilion and check out Soarin’s wait. At 9:45 it was only 30 mins, but us being impatient we decided to fast pass it and come back later. Our fast pass time was for something obscure like 11:56 so we decided to hit it up later. Now since we were there we had to ride Living with the Land (I love seeing the Mickey shaped Veggies in the Greenhouse). 5 minute wait posted, but I am pretty sure we just walked right on. Random thing I saw on the ride this time was an inordinate amount of pineapples growing… maybe it was pineapple season I don’t know, but seriously the pineapples were everywhere! So after the Land we were strolling through a now sorta, almost, getting crowded Future World and went in somewhere we have never really ventured into before… Innoventions. This is one of those places where I am not sure why we have never been inside before but I though I may learn something. Now I am sorry if this offends any Innoventions fans but… huh??? What is up with this place, there were a few cute games about learning and Dave and I played with a button that makes a door over your head slam shut but that was it. I could slam a door at home and be equally as amused as I was until this point. But… then I saw it… by the exit… Team Possible needed recruits to Save the World! Now since I am “Super Sam” and have super powers like being able to convince my DF to come with me to WDW on a moments notice, and making a pretty darn tasty Key lime Pie, I figured this would be a cinch! So we join Team Possible and are assigned a fastpass ticket type thing to report at our designated time to Norway for our assignment.
Dave and I were still a bit early for our mission so we headed over to the Seas with Nemo and friends and rode our clamshell after another 5 minuet wait. So at this point we were debating “do we go visit Turtle Talk with Crush now, or do we wait a while?” Well a lady came out and said “next show starting now, come on in folks” so we listened to her. Now I have seen TTwC a few times and I think it is hysterical, but nothing and I do mean NOTHING could have prepared us for this TTwC experience. We are seated and are listening to the jokes and laughing right along until this happens…
Crush: “Squirt and I found something the other day that a human must have lost, can you help me and tell me what it is?”
Audience: “Yes!”
Crush: gets item from off screen and comes back with a woman’s bikini top hanging from around his neck
Audience: “hahahahahaha”
Crush: “So what is this thing? Little Dude in the Black Shell can you help me”
Little Boy (about age 8): “It’s a Bra!”
Crush: “A what? What’s it for?
Now at this point I should mention that a little kid had just asked a question about crush’s shell so the answer the audiance was expecting from this little boy was something like “You wear it when you swimming”… but…
Little Boy: “To cover your ****s”
Audience: hahahahaha
This was the funniest thing I had ever heard! The lady who runs Turtle Talk (has the mic and gives safety rules and such) was literally crying from laughing so hard! I was crying, Dave was crying, everyone was crying from laughing so hard. And Crush’s face was just priceless, he had his jaw wide open for about a minute not saying a word! Then he said
Crush: “Ok everyone, let’s all forget this happened…”
So after we composed ourselves Crush finished his show and we were headed off to save the world. Since it was 11 and WS was open I figured we could get a Grand Marnier Slush in France on the way to save the world (a girls gotta multi-task right?) so we get to France with eager eyes and livers only to find that in France they don’t serve alcohol until noon! A little bummed we walk over to Morocco and see a beer and sangria stand open… hey it wasn’t my slush but it would do! So we ordered a couple of drinks were on our way to save the world!
Dave and I headed to Norway to pick up our Kimmunicator which is a way to talk to Kim and Dale in the lab. It is a cell phone that is very interactive. They would give you clues and places to go to stop the silly crimes that were taking place all over the world. Our mission was in Germany so we headed over and played along. I don’t want to give too much of this away because it was a fun little diversion but I will tell you that your Kimmunicator interacts with different things and places in WS while on your mission. It was a lot of fun! The missions are supposed to take 15-30 minutes each, this one took closer to 15 so we figured we would do a 2nd mission. But 1st we had to head into the wine room in Germany for a glass of Liebfraumilch wine for me and a pinot noir for Dave. Well since we had on button we also got 2 glasses of white wine to try! Gotta love the buttons! We then had our wine and our Kimmunicator and were off to the UK for our next mission (you do get to pick where you want to go for any subsequent missions). I figured since the UK was right next to Canada and we were having lunch at Le Celier that afternoon the UK would be a good bet!
Here is our little wine picnic and our kimmunicator in Germany

Me and my wine and Kimmunicator... yup I posed
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000510.jpg
Well guess what, we saved the world again! Yup that’s right twice in one day Super Sam and Daredevil Dave saved the world! And all before lunch too! So with our missions accomplished and a bit of a buzz going on from my wine and empty stomach combo it was time for lunch.
Now I know the buzz on the Dis about Le Celier so I was very excited to try it, especially that soup. This was also our frist real experience using our dining plan at a TS restaurant. I ordered the Soup, the Filet and Smores for dessert. Dave ordered the Soup, a Burger and a fruit cup for dessert. I also got a mango smoothie to drink, while DF got a Lemonade. I will say the food did not disappoint! The soup was just a fab as everyone says… it was so fabulous in fact that last night my dear sweet wonderful DF made it for us for dinner! I felt like I was right back in Canada! Our entrees were also very good, however they should put a warning on that soup that one bowl and you will full for the rest of the day! I only ate ½ my steak and DF only ½ his burger! Very unlike us! And our dessert came out with a candle and congratulations written on it since we had our buttons on, how cute!
Last night we were smart though and had our soup with a small salad and we were fine, so I recommend eithier being very very very very hungry or maybe eating soup and entrée at the same time. Eithier way it was good, but way too heavy a meal for lunch when you had to sit in the FL sun afterwards… I would do dinner over lunch next time.
So I will leave you there for now, next post will have more pics I promise… up next a surprise for DF!

Day 2 Part 3… the world is safe so let’s go see some baseball!
Now this part of the TR I am warning you all does not have any pictures… I know horrible of me but I honestly just forgot at this point lol!
So when we last spoke DF and I were being rolled out of Le Celier after a filling lunch. I look at DF and just tell him to come with me. I proceed to lead him to the ticket booth at the Wide World of Sports complex, pick up our tickets to the Red Sox game for that afternoon and look at his face. He was shocked! He couldn’t believe I got tickets for us! So we make our way to the seats and settle in for a nice afternoon at the ball field. Now for those of you who have never seen a game at WWoS it is a lot of fun, and a very nice stadium… think of a regular ballpark, now eliminate the sticky floors and clean it to Disney standards… that is WWoS in a nutshell!
So after sitting in the sun for a few hours we decided to head back to the hotel for a bit, we didn’t end up making it through the game though. I think the heavy cheese/steak lunches then 2+ hours in the sun were a poor choice back to back lol! So by the end we were ready for a quick rest before the evening’s events. So a quick trip to the POP, a rest, a dip in the pool to stretch our legs and we were back on track. Now for those of you considering the POP there was only one thing I was not too happy about while we were there… no hot tub by the pool. If POP had this I would have been super happy, otherwise I thought the pool was nice, clean (yes crowded but come on its Disney!) and pretty warm… not hot tub warm… but not too bad overall.
Dave and I had an ADR at Ohana for dinner tonight at 9:30 (post fireworks on the beach). At this point it was about 5:30 and we figured we could head to the MK for a few hours before going to the Poly. So we hop a bus for MK and again it arrives promptly and efficiently (yay buses!) and get to the happiest park in about 15 minutes. We head through the gate and decide to take it slow… so we stop and see our buddy Pinocchio and take a quick pic, and I get a little peck on the cheek from Pinocchio too, this was a theme on this trip I think… I have never gotten more kisses from characters before, by the end it was really funny because Dave and I would just sort of expect it lol! Oh yea and Dave got kisses from the female characters too which was kind of funny! After our Pinocchio meet and greet we head up Main Street and of course I tear up a bit at the sight of the castle. Dave said he wants to go back to the wishing well where he proposed just 4 months ago and see it during the day. I happily agree to this and get my camera ready for tons of pics to show my mom (and of course the other Disers).
Here are a few of the wishing well and us in front of it.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000533.jpg
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000529.jpg
I love all the details on the well, the birds around the base and the iron work at the top.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000534.jpg
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000535.jpg
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000537.jpg

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000539.jpg
So after brief quiet moment of reminiscing and just sitting together on the bench by the well and looking at the castle we realize we are in the MK and haven’t ridden on the Haunted Mansion or Pirates yet (shock, gasp!) So we head off to Liberty Square to correct this grave (no pun intended) injustice. Another hitchhiking ghost followed us home again this time… I bet we have like 70 of those guys accumulated over the year’s lol! So we bring Morty (that is what we named our ghost this time) and walk to Froniterland and check out the wait for BTMRR, 10 minutes, so we hop in line and I remember that the last time I was on this ride we had just gotten engaged so again I got a little misty eyed (I am a crier, and this trip it gets worse lol).
After BTMRR (Dave’s Fave BTW) we make our way to Adventure Land! Yup you guessed it, Dole Whip Time!
The only food porn I have on this whole trip… get ready for it!
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000524.jpg
Are you hungry yet?
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000523.jpghttp://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000525.jpg
After our fabulous snack we decide it’s time for Pirates of the Caribbean and the Enchanted Tiki Room (I figured it would get us ready for the Poly lol), we ride em both and check the time, it is 7:50 so we decide to leave before we get trapped in parade traffic and go to the Poly a grab a drink. But 1st a quick pic in front of the castle of course!
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000540.jpg
A quick monorail ride and we are relaxing on the beach at the Poly with a Captains Mai Tai in hand… this drink is amazing btw, I guess it is served all over WDW but somehow the feel of the beach sand between my toes made it taste even sweeter. So we settle in for some time on the beach eagerly awaiting the fireworks and electrical water pageant.
Dave had never been to the Poly and little did I know at the time how much he loved it… that boy played it cool! I have always loved the Poly and thought it would be a great post wedding place to stay, but figured DF would not want to try it out (why I thought this I have no idea, but now I know not to Assume… you know what happens when you assume…). We had a great conversation just sitting and waiting for everything to start, pointing things out to each other and just enjoying our “couple time”. No the water pageant started first and after a few minutes Dave looked at me and said “what happens next?” I guess I had built up the pageant to be some really cool Disney thing so he was expecting a bit more then floats that light up… oh well! I can see his point though, and I mean no offense to anyone who has a place in their heart for this show, but it is a bit dated. We both did like the random “Salute to America” ending though. All of a sudden it was like you were no longer chilling under the sea with all the sea animals and fish, you were at the 4th of July parade lol! As a patriotic couple we appreciated it, but it totally comes out of left field, you gotta love it! The fireworks stared a few minutes into the EWP so we had a nice view of both going on at the same time. After that we went inside, checked in at the podium and waited to be buzzed in.
After about 10 minutes we get buzzed and head to our table. It is a bigger table since it is the end of the night and we have some room to spread out which is nice. Now I know everyone has read the Ohana reviews and I will agree the food is great, DF’s fave of the whole trip in fact! The food was all prepared very well and served nice and hot. Our waitress went a little MIA during our meal though, but we were actually a bit tired at this point so it wasn’t too big a deal. Dave said we have to go back here every trip from now on and I have to agree. The food was awesome! In August when we come with my family we are going to bring them here for dinner one night for sure. So dinner was over, and it was time to try that world famous dessert I had heard about yum! Our MIA waitress actually turned very helpful at this point and even brought us a yummy yellow cupcake with a candle in it along with our dessert. I had to bring it back though because I was wayyyy too full at this point lol! So we ended the night with quick transfer to DTD and back to the POP where we once again collapsed into bed for a restful nights sleep.
I will leave you there but give you this teaser…
Day 3 was by far the coolest day… awesome surprises in store so stay tuned!

Thanks Tarah (BTW, our favorite waitress at our local trivia bar is named Tarah too, and I told her that I know someone who spells it like her and she was super happy, she said she doesn't know anyone else who spells it that way)
The KP thing is very fun, and if you do it our way and grab some drinks while on your mission it is even more fun! Talk em into it lol!
:rotfl: That is awesome! I am right along with her! I know plenty of "Tara"s and even one "Tarrah" but I too have never seen anyone spell it like mine! I get lots of people who pronounce it wrong. I constantly say "It's Tarah like Sarah, but with a T as in Tom." Too great! :goodvibes
I will def work on the KP adventure! My group is def fun with a some drinks in them anyway! :thumbsup2

Your spidey sense must have been tingeling because we are def doing part of the wedding/honeymoon trip at the Poly! Df was all about the Poly when we got back home, he kept talking about it non-stop and he finally looked at me one night and just blurted out that he wouldn't mind staying there after the wedding. :dance3: I did my happy dance and changed our ressie and then went to sleep that night dreaming of my Captian's Mai Tai:rotfl:

Day 3 Part 1… The start of the 2nd best day ever at WDW (the 1st being when got engaged, but only by a little bit lol!) PS- This is picture free, but worth it...
So after a full day of E-Pics, Epcot, Red Sox and the Poly (yes that was one 1 day…) we woke up to our painful church bells… and painful feet! Man oh man after a full day were my feet sore, I was walking like a 95 year old with a bad knee that morning! All I wanted to do today was be at the MK for rope drop. In all my visits to WDW one thing I have never managed to catch was Rope Drop at the MK, so I was sure that this would be the trip to do it! So as we lay in bed listening to our painfully loud church bells ringing in our ears we looked at each other and knew… nope, we were not moving yet. The immediate aching in our legs was too great, so I gave up on Rope Drop Dreams and rested for another ½ hour. Well we finally woke ourselves up (Stitch and Mickey may have helped a bit) and we start getting ready to head out. We pack a backpack with our emergency sweatshirts, camera, ponchos and our refillable mugs to head to the food court and we are in business.
Dave and I (slowly) make it to the POP food court and on the way there I decide I am a bit cold so I throw on my zip up hoodie (this is important later on I promise) and continue the walk. It is a sunny morning, but still a bit cool so I am hoping it warms up a bit over the course of the day. We fill up our mugs, make our way to the buses and hop right on (again I love the POP bus service). We are a bit tired and happy to get seats on the bus at only 8:45am! I think to myself, wow we may actually see part of rope drop after all! We arrive at the MK at 9:05am (yup, we missed it) and head in to the park.
I love mornings at the MK; it is all peaceful despite being surrounded with people. We of course saw all the kids in line to meet their favorite characters, and smelled all sorts of yummy treats as we walked in… ahh to be in the Magic Kingdom. Dave and I start to walk down Main Street when a Cast Member notices our “Just Engaged” Buttons. He yells out “Congratulations to you both!” And Dave says “Thanks You” and starts to keep walking along when the CM says “Hey wait, come talk to me for a second.” So of course being the chatty Cathy that I am, I head over with Dave to talk to a very friendly CM. His nametag says his name is “Dean” and he appears to be a very smiley, happy guy greeting guests on Main Street in the morning… but oh boy Dean is so much more then that!
We begin talking about where we are from, why we are in WDW, and finally how our trip has been going. At this point I am not thinking anything strange, just enjoying talking Dean in my favorite place in the world. Dean then says to us “Let’s step over here for a minute” and we move out of the flow of traffic (it was 9:15am in the Magic Kingdom after all, and our spot of the sidewalk was a bit in the way of guests running to their favorite rides lol) so move next to a doorway of a shop on Main Street. Dean says “I know you are having a great trip so far, but at Disney we like to try and make peoples trips extra special when we can.” “So I need a favor from you both, I would like to invite you to be our guests as the grand marshals of today’s parade!” I was speechless (and let me tell you that is a feat in itself, I am not speechless very often!) I immediately looked at Dean ready to say “Are you serious!” but the words were not coming out! Dave just said “Whoa” and was waiting for me to say something, anything (again the whole being speechless thing freaks Dave out because he knows it never happens, I am always talking!)
I am pretty sure 10 minutes passed without me responding to Dean (although Dave claims it was only about 10 seconds, oh well). I finally managed to pull myself together and try to speak… all that comes out are tears. Here I am in the MK, a wonderful CM named Dean is asking me to do something I have always imagined doing, and I cannot pull myself together enough to say Yes! Dean looks at me and says “I hope those are happy tears, is that a yes?” I nod my head furiously between tears and hug Dean, not Dave my lovely fiancé, but Dean lol! It was like getting engaged all over again with the inability to say the word "Yes", sometimes you just cannot speak, and this my friends was one of those times! Dave was just standing there chuckling at the whole development; he later said how happy he was to see me that happy which I thought was a very sweet thing for him to say… I knew there was a reason I was marrying him lol!
Dean said that I better stop crying because I would make him start too! So I pull it together (as much as I could pull it together after hearing amazing news, thank goodness I had my sunglasses on that morning, but boy oh boy I could’ve used some extra waterproof mascara)! Dean asks us how to spell our names because “His friends at The Chapeau have some free time right now and will make you Ears with your names on the back” How fun! He also asks for last name, and our hometown so they can annouce us duirng the parade. Dave goes first and spells his last name “English”. Dean says “Ok now its The Future Mrs. English’s turn” and looks at me with a smile. I smile back and unzip my hoodie (see I told you that would be important), you see that morning I decided it would be fun to wear my homemade “The future Mrs. English” tank with pink Mickey ears and a tiara on it. Dean reads my shirt and bursts out laughing, what are the odds that he would call me that on the same day I wore that shirt! And there was absolutely no way he could have known that since my hoodie was zipped all the way up! Dean’s laugh was infectious as Dave and I both started laughing as well, pretty soon we were all in tears from laughing! The Disney Magic went both ways that morning! So after we get our instructions to meet him in front of the Main Street Firehouse at 2:45pm that day and talking for a few more minutes about what to expect at the parade we part ways, but not before a HUGE hug from me to Dean! I am not sure if that is the response he usually gets but it sure was from me, it was without a doubt the happiest moment of the trip!
This part of my TR is very short on pics but I promise I will make it up to you all in the next entry!
Up Next Day 3 Part 2… Streamers Huh?

Up Next Day 3 Part 2… Pre-Parade Jitters!
So Dave and I had just been asked (in my opinion) the most awesome question at the Magic Kingdom and we were ready to hit the park! We took our usual route and went left towards adventure land. Now I should probably tell you that Dave’s dream job is to be a driver on the Jungle Cruise… oh that boy! So of course we had to ride that first… the whole time I was bouncing around in line because the excitement had not warn off. We had a successful cruise through the jungle and made it back in one piece about 10 minuets later. Not bad for cruising to the Amazon and the Nile river, and back lol.
This is my level of excitement that day... such a dork I know:rotfl2:
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000544.jpg
We decided that since we had gone on a few rides the day before we would take it easy today... Well easy for us did not turn out as planned. We followed the “let’s do what we feel” plan which we did not realize involved crossing the park an estimated 15 times during the day… we were all over the place. This is the last time I will do this way of touring because as relaxing as it was by the time we were scheduled to be in the parade we were so happy to be able to sit still for a half hour or so!
During the morning we rode BTMRR. Splash Mountain, got a fastpass for BTMRR for an hour away, got our 1st Dole Whip of the day, and did a little shopping. Now, getting packages delivered to your hotel is so easy, the downside is that you forget how much you bought because you are not carrying it all day, which in turn makes you forget how much $$ you have spent… good system Disney, very tricky.
So around 10:30 we decided to do a little shopping in the Christmas store in Liberty Square. I love Christmas (yes even in the springtime) and we found out how un-crowded this place is during the day. It was wonderful being able to look around without swarms of people around you. While I find a cute ornament for our tree (I try to get one on each trip) I see Dave talking to the ladies who work in the shop. There was a little circle around him so I wander over and see what is going on. The ladies all saw his “Just Engaged” Button and started doing the “girly” thing, asking how he did it, was she surprised, where did he propose, how long we had been together… you know usual girl talk. Dave’s head actually began to spin at this point…
He looked a bit relieved that I joined him because they all started asking me the questions that made my poor DF’s head spin. Which being a girl I happily began to answer. We did the whole looking at the ring thing, and we got the “Awwww’s” when I said he proposed by the wishing well. Also the lone gentleman CM at the shop came over and gets in on the conversation as well. So after chatting with them for a few more minuets we head over to the register to pay and right as we are leaving we say goodbye to our new friends who all yell “Noooo, you can’t leave yet!” So we stop and one of the ladies run’s over and says “We made you something!” They had made us a Mickey Ornament that they had written “Just Engaged WDW” on for us! It was really sweet and they all said they will be stopping by our wedding next year too lol! They sent it back to our hotel with the ornament I had bought (and they also wrote the date on the one I bought for free too). It was so nice and they said that on our trip in August we had to stop in and say hello to them! We will be doing that for sure, they were all so nice and made a special day even specialer (is that a word?)
At this point of the morning I am not even walking anymore, I am simply floating around the MK on cloud 9:cloud9:! But we realize that it is 11am and we are starving! Casey’s it is! We order some corn dog nuggets, fries and a drink, and sit and watch a few old cartoons while we snack. While sitting and eating lunch I look at Dave and notice that in the sunny FL weather he has taken off his jacket that he had on that morning… and he had on a shirt that he found randomly one day listing a pub crawl he once did in his wild and crazy youth lol! It said “Grab the Crew, Drink some Brew, Stay out Late, Bring Home a Date” … I am surprised that I let him out wearing something like that in WDW. At home is one thing, but this is Disney! I must have been so tired that morning I didn’t even notice (and he admitted he didn’t either, he just grabbed a shirt in his coma like state that morning hee hee) So I went into the shop connected to Casey’s and picked up a Mickey Tee for him to wear in the parade that day… how convenient that we were somewhere with unlimited souvenirs at our fingertips lol! Since then he has been wearing his Mickey shirt quiet a bit I might add…
So we finish our lunch/mid morning snack and head over to Tomorrow Land. We grab a fastpass for Space Mountain and then hit up Buzz (10 min wait), Monster’s Inc (5 min wait), the TTA (no wait) and the Carousel of Progress (no wait)! Gotta love the mornings at WDW! At this point it is around 12:30 and we decide to head back over to Frontier Land and use our Fastpass we got earlier for BTMRR. On the way we stop and ride the Haunted mansion again and the finally hit up BTMRR. The way our fastpasses were issued that morning was very convenient because we were able to have a few at a time with the 2 hour thing and the time of the ticket itself. So we also picked up another FP for Splash later in the day (it was very busy at this point and the wait times for those 2 were long… like 80 minuets long). Since it is 1:45 by now and we only have hour before we meet up with Dean again we grab one more Dole Whip Float, and head to Main Street to do a little window shopping (which actually turned into regular shopping… darn Disney and their tricks!)
I saw the greatest stuff in the art of Disney store (or whatever it is called at MK) and picked out all the things I would get if I hit the megabucks! In the Emporium I figured I would buy a few things that I had eyed earlier in the trip and have them shipped to the POP rather then wait until that last day and fumble with packages in DTD. I got 2 stemless wine glasses (Dave always complains that my wine glass with a stem blocks his TV view when he is laying on the couch lol) and matching T’s for my mum and I… back-story to this… when I was a kid my folks took my to WDW and we went on Mr Toad’s Wild Ride at the MK, now for some reason this ride scared the pants off me as a child! (Maybe it was the whole you follow Mr Toad to hell part of it… anywho…) so if I ever acted up after that trip my mom would say “Samantha you better behave or we will make you go on Mr Toad when we go to Walt Disney World”! This worked like a charm because I NEVER acted up after hearing that! So back to present day, I found a Tee in the “Vintage Magic Kingdom” collection of T’s with Mr Toads Wild Ride on it! So I had to get them for us, it was too perfect to pass up! I also got a photo album for pics of the trip and bamboo Mickey cutting board. So I head up to pay and get offered the gift with purchase they are doing… I am not strong enough to pass these up… I am the sucker that they market these for… so I buy the $10 Mickey watch for Dave and one for me too… I have no willpower.
I check my phone (why I didn’t just ask to wear the watch is beyond me at this point) and see it is 2:35!!! Yippee!!! So we walk over to the Firehouse and wait for Dean. He arrives a few minutes after we do and tells us to use the restroom now because once we go backstage we won’t have another chance. He tells us we are going to be riding with another family from Chicago that day and we have to wait for them to arrive as well. They get there and Dean opens up a bag and hands us each a set or personalized Mickey Ears and certificates saying we were the Grand Marshals that day… he also had a special one made for me that said “The future Mrs. English” on it which I thought was so cute!
Dean tells us that no pictures are allowed backstage and he will take a close up of us in the car but that is all he can do. I was just so happy I could have started dancing right then and there! So we head backstage and see it… Mickey’s Limo… our ride for the day… now I was a good Dis bride and asked if Dave and I could use it for our Wedding instead of the Carriage, Dean laughed and said “Well I bet you could, no one has even done that before!” I laughed and made a mental note to save up a ton of money for it lol!
The limo itself was very cool, all white with big colorful Mickey balloons on it and 2 rows of blue leather seats (which got very hot during the parade btw). It is an open top limo so they were al ittle warm when we sat down too. Dean then showed us a secret that not many people get to see on the limo… the treads on the tires… they are custom Mickey heads! I want those for my car! All the details on this car just blew my mind, it was awesome. So we settle into the car and are given our streamers to wave and told our job for the day… smile and wave… that was it… just have fun, heck I was already doing that and I figured this would be a good chance to practice my princess wave before the wedding lol.

The Mickey treads!
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000547.jpg
So we are getting ready to go, Dean snapped a quick pic of Dave and I (and one of the tires) and he says “Ok be very quiet and listen” They announce that “the parade will be starting in just a moment, and that the Grand Marshal’s today are the ? Family from Chicago Illinois celebrating their 1st visit, and Samantha Lee and David English celebrating their engagement here at the Magic Kingdom from Newton Massachusetts!” Dean said we would hear it again during the parade but we might not hear it that well again. So streamers in hand, smiles on, Ears in place we were ready to go. Then, the gates opened…
Up next The Parade Itself!

I found a Tee in the “Vintage Magic Kingdom” collection of T’s with Mr Toads Wild Ride on it! So I had to get them for us, it was too perfect to pass up!
I'm still working on reading your latest update, but I had to comment on this. I got one of those too on my birthday trip last week! First with the pink converses and now with the Mr. Toad shirt, I'm going to start feeling like I'm stealing your fashion ideas. Loving the TR! popcorn::

I haven't caught up on your trip report but I just wanted to say I'm loving it! Also, I had engagement pics done at WS in 2006 and I LOVED them (not with the guy anymore but I LOVE the pics!). I spent a long time deciding which countries I wanted pics in and I too was floored when he said we were going to all of the countries! And I was expecting to get like 40 pics (I think that's what the package said) and I had well over a hundred. I couldn't be happier with Disney Photography and will definitely use them again in the future (maybe not engagement though as my DBF isn't a huge Disney fan).
And congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! :goodvibes
So cool that you got to be parade marshalls. Can't wait to hear about the parade. I'm glad you made DF change his shirt to the Mickey shirt - much more appropriate for the parade!:rotfl:

Day 3 Part 3… It’s Showtime!
We last left off at the big moment, the gates have opened and I see Main Street from a whole new angle. I am smiling like crazy the whole time by the way! There are thousands of people all looking at the gate waiting with anticipation to see what the parade would hold for them. The main streamer dancer is the first out of the gate followed by the guys who hold the sign that says the name of the parade. Then it’s us. We are the 1st car in the whole parade, now we didn’t get to see what was happening behind us while we were backstage so I had no idea what float would follow ours… well guess who it was!
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000548.jpg
Mickey and Minnie were in the float behind us which was so cool, and there were, of course, dancers everywhere with streamers which (being a dancer myself) appreciated very much. By the end of the parade I think I could have performed the entire parade dance after seeing it so many times lol!
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000549.jpg
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000550.jpg

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000557.jpg
We pull onto Main Street and start waving to everyone thinking “who is going to wave to us?” well it must be something in the air down in WDW because people were waving to us like we were old friends! Women were asking to see my ring as the float went by (remember, they announced we had just got engaged) so I would wave and, being a good disbride, flash the ring whenever asked… I think a Grand Marshal should obey the people waving to her lol. I was actually asked to show the ring quiet a bit by ladies along the parade route which I never in a million years expected but made me laugh every time. So we are waving and holding our streamers and I am snapping pics from the limo… which I will post now so you can see our view from the parade.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000559.jpg
My fave pic was of a group of Japanese Tourists who were waving at me and laughing when I took THEIR picture too:lmao:
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j175/tiggersam00/P1000560.jpg
It was a great time for sure. I figured I would have some fun while I was in this parade so I was yelling “Happy Birthday” to little kids that had on the birthday buttons, and I always got cute and funny reactions. One little girl was so cute, I said “happy birthday” to her and she looked at me with this huge grin and yelled back “You too” lol! She realized what she said and started to giggle and kept waving to me and blowing kisses it was really sweet. It was so cool being like a mini-celeb for an hour. We would stop the car every so often to wait for the parade to catch up and the photopass people who were following us would go nuts with pictures. I thought it was so nice that they took pictures of us since lord knows this will never happen again. Here are some of the Photopass pics.

We finally made it to Frontierland and could see the end of the parade route ahead of us. We do our last waves from our lovely lovely limo and pull behind the scenes to disembark our vehicle. Now I should mention that the whole ride we were in the sun… on leather seats. So we had to practically peel our legs off the seats.
Dean was there to meet us and help us out; he then takes us to our VIP parade viewing area so we can watch the rest of the parade which is really cool. Dean had said he would only have a minute or so to see us when we got here so we snapped a few quick pics with him and gave him one last big hug! Then we settled in to watch the rest of the parade. The photopass CM’s also gave us coupons to get free 5X7’s at Town Hall which is really nice too.
Dean and us!
