Please help with this decision!! I have to decide this week. There are 5 of us, 3 adults and two teenagers. I had my heart set on BC and when I was able to secure Jr. Suite w/concierge I was estatic, but I can get a Jr. Suite at Dolphin for the same price and it's 860 suare feet compared to 560 square ft at BC. Also has more bedding and 2 bathrooms!!! It seems like the logical choice, but I had my heart set on the BC w/full balcony and great view of lake, and I heard concierge at BC is the best! BUT only 1 bathroom and a lot smaller. What would you do!?
BTW, no balcony at dolphin but got lake view - anyone know what this is like?

I would personally choose the Beach Club. Not just will you have the hotel you were looking forward to, but you'd have Stormalong Bay as well. Have fun!

I'd go for the Beach Club. I much prefer it to the Dolphin. :) Plus, those Junior Suites are supposed to be really nice and large - and the concierge at the Beach Club is supposed to be one of the best at WDW!

THanks guys for your reply! Any arguments for the Dolphin? Also, I cannot find pictures anywhere of either the Deluxe Rm at Beach Club or the Jr. Suite at Dolphin. The Dolphin website has 2 pictures , but I recently heard they are very deceiving and the actual room you get looks nothing like the ones they show you on the website. This was the first sign that maybe I had made a bad choice. Anyways, anyone got any links to pictures of these rooms?

I'd choose concierge service over space anyday...that would be great!!

I faced the same decision for our last trip. 3 adults, 2 kids. I was planning on going BC Concierge. Figured we could use the lounge as extra space to spread out or relax. But after posting on these boards, I was convinced to book 2 regular connecting rooms. We got extra space, more beds and the ALL important 2 bathrooms. What really did it for me was the 2 bathrooms. While I still hope to stay concierge some day, it will have to wait until there are only 4 or less of us going. Didn't want to imagine what time I'd have to get up to take my shower so that we could all finish in the bathroom and still be at the park by a decent hour! ;)

My vote is for the BC. The Concierge is THE BEST! We did not like the Dolphin at all. Did you check out 2 connecting rooms at the BC vs. the Jr. Suite? We did it that way before and the price was much better with the 2 Baths! So I would go with what Sharoncity suggests. Please let us know what you decide.
If you go with the Jr. Suite, just stagger the batroom morning times. While someone is using the bathroom, the others could go for coffee and breakfast! Good-luck with your decision!

Hi nutz4dzny,
Why did you not like the Dolphin? I am staying at the Dolphin for the first time this coming Aug and I am trying to find out as much as a I can about the Dolphin.

I've never stayed at the Beach Club, but I've heard their concierge is very good. I stayed in a one bedroom suite at the Dolphin in November, and having 2 bathrooms was great. Here's a link to the floorplans at the Swan/Dolphin: http://www.swandolphinmeetings.com/body.asp?mode=flash&sec=space&body=space_mtg_conv_floorplans

Tiffany - I just did not like the 'feel" of it. It really reminded me of a large Convention-type hotel that did not feel like Disney to me. Please everyone don't Flame me...it is just my opinion. I did a walk through with a very nice employee who showed us a room with a balcony and a suite. Also the Club Room. We are used to staying Concierge and we felt it did not offer as much as the BC did.
Again....my personal feelings. My DH did not care for it either so we CA our ressies and went to the BC. We love the pool at the BC and I have heard so many times that the Dolphin pool is so cold all the time and I like very warm water! Also the BC has 3 Hot tubs and we use them every night.
Don't forget...that is why they make so many different Ice cream flavors!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply nutz4dzny. I can understand the "feel" thing. My husband and I feel that way about the BWI. It is a very nice resort but we just did not like the "feel" of it. No flaming here just like to get everyone's point of view. Thanks again.
